This is a very cute independent book store in Steamboat. Staff is a pleasure and the coffee shop inside is fantastic. The kids section in the back is adorable. My son had a blast reading in the kids nook and snuggling the stuffed animals.

A local homey bookstore on steroids. Not your normal Barnes and Noble. The quiche was a little dry.

I love this independent bookshop!! They have curated a fabulous collection of new and used books, a concentration on local goods and a fantastic coffee bar with yummy goodies. It's a great place for the whole family. The kids section is well thought out with fun little books for the kids to explore. The upstairs is a hopping place with work stations and used books. I spent hours here!!

Really cute little book store and cafe. They have unique items and books, the staff is very laid-back, yet friendly and professional, and the coffee was great. I ordered a Mr. Darcy which is a cinnamon and vanilla latte, the coffee was rich and the flavors were good, and my friend got the East of Eden, a dark chocolate and lavender latte, and the mix of flavors was perfect, not overpowering on the lavender, and not too sweet. Would definitely come back next time I'm in town.

While on vacation in Steamboat Springs, we dropped in and bought a couple of books. My daughter and wife are also avid readers. We were able to purchase both new and old books.Have a drink while you browse this wonderful tiny bookstore for book lovers.

I love this place. They always have great specialty drinks and a great selection of new/used books. The environment is great and it’s a great place to study, read, or meet friends. I’ve found some of my favorite books in the staff recommendations. My favorite spot, not just coffee shop, in steamboat.

A sweet, friendly bookstore and cafe. Seating upstairs. The coffees are stellar! Many books and games. This shop is a great place to sit down have a conversation, read a books, magazines, they also carry a ni e array of intersctive books for children of all ages. The baristas that work there are excellent. I had a tea that I wish I could remember what it was called because it was out of this world! If you want to go to a place to have a hot drink, warm up or maybe buy something to read or recount all the fun your having, after skiing the slopes all day, this is the place.

Very nice bookstore and coffee shop. Bought a nice new book, and enjoyed a great coffee and banana bread. I liked that even in an expensive place like Steamboat Springs, the coffee and pastries were at real-people prices. My only regret was that all the tables were full so we had to sit outside, where it was pretty chilly. I did enjoy throwing crumbs to the sparrows, though.

Ordered a dark chocolate latte 16oz one pump of syrup and it was good! Got to explore some books while awaiting my latte to be made! Definitely a fun unique experience and I intend on stopping in frequently. Very clean, quick tentative service.

A gem! Thankful one of the coffee stops in Steamboat is open into the evening hours as all the others were closed after skiing hours. It is a bookstore but I only went for the coffee shop and was not disappointed! The espresso in the latte was divine and the pastries were so good! Very friendly service from the baristas!

This is a small town bookstore that has that small town feeling. It has a wide selection of hard to find books and never heard of authors. It caters to all ages from toddlers to the silver haired group. Inside there is also a small cafe where you can warm up with hot chocolate or coffee or tea when it's freezing outside.

Adorable little store with a quirky cave for kiddo books. The stairs being painted with some of the best children’s literature books was so charming. The coffee was great and reasonably priced. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

it was a good latte but very expensive -- $7.00 for a 12oz lavender latte. they only put a single shot in 12oz lattes and charge ~$1.00 for a second shot. a very steep upcharge, even in a resort town.

Service is SLOW, but once you get what you ordered it’s good. BEST muffins in town and worth the $4.50. Cappuccino’s are fantastic.

This is the cutest book store ever! The staff is great and very helpful. They have great gifts for kids and adults. There are great snacks, and a loft upstairs if you need to work. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in Steamboat.

Must stop every time we are in Steamboat. Great selection of books, games, and stationary. Staff is engaged and ready to chat about any interest you may have. My 12 year old and hubs were invited to a D&D session the first night there to their absolute joy! We went back several times during the week for coffee and book refills. Really chill and enjoyable hangout spot, with great reads, coffee , and baked treats.

A cute little bookstore with so many good books. Used as well in addition to new, I believe. The coffee shop was cute and very delicious. Perfect way to enjoy your coffee while strolling around looking at books. They have a ton by local authors which I love! I found a good book there and they are LGBTQ+ friendly! 🌈

Thoughtful, friendly, knowledgeable staff!!! We drove three hours one-way to visit this Indie and were not disappointed. We picked up some great books and perfect recommendations for lunch and a cold draft! This was a wonderful place to visir!

Bookstore and vibe was cool. Mocha is too milky, the Americanos were quite watery. Wasn't worth the price point.

I love this place. We visit Steamboat often and this is a stop for me every time. I love their staff selections for finding things I maybe wouldn’t pick up without the suggestion. They also have an awesome coffee shop inside with yummy pastries and excellent lattes I love picking up a new book, getting a coffee, and reading in their loft area for a bit.

Best bookstore ever. Love love this place! Reminds me of Shop Around the Corner in You’ve Got Mail. Always nice, friendly staff. Love the seating upstairs. GREAT place to sit and write. The only thing I would change is to add more gluten-free bakery options. 😁😁😁 Also, could use more teen selections on sports etc.

As a non skier in a family of skiers I am always on the lookout for the best place in a mountain town to park myself and sip coffee & read. This spot was IT for Steamboat! Ordered a delicious coffee and wandered upstairs to pick from a selection of tables. I found a cute table overlooking the bottom floor and happily people watched while enjoying my coffee. I never felt rushed to leave or give up my table, despite the decent crowd in the shop. They had plenty of seats and the customers all seemed just as happy to be there.

What a real gem! Authentic and local bookstores, with coffee and lite-bites seem to have gone the way of the dinosaurs over the last few years, so was a real pleasure to sit and soak in the pleasures of this little beauty. Overflowing with books, little trinkets and good vibes. Stellar coffee and large muffins (always appreciated in this age of inflation). Little nook upstairs to sit, eat and chat. Friendly patrons. Off the Beaten Path is my favorite bookstore that I have ever walked into. I come here frequently for the delicious coffees, cozy atmosphere, and great book selection. If they don’t have the book you need, they can usually order for you! One of my favorite spots in Steamboat Springs. I only wish they stayed open until 7PM to allow a little more time to come study, read, and unwind after work. Should open the other side of the loft up to the public for additional seating as well as it can be packed (especially in the winter months). All in all, such a cozy adorable place. Love love love!

I have really come to enjoy small but well curated bookstores. Particularly in mountain towns as they often offer the reading I prefer, and Off the Beaten Path is no exception to this. With less common mountain adventuring books, to my preferred academic reading I found much to enjoy. The cafe is pleasant as well, with good croissants and decent enough lattes (I'm a nerd on that latter part.) It's worth checking out, for coffee and/or books.

Can’t come to Steamboat and not stop in here and get a BIG CHIPPER! It’s literally the best chocolate chip cookie. There is also a little chipper but you only get that one when the big ones are gone. Catching this fresh out of the oven is the best!!!!! It’s got a great chip to batter ratio. It’s crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. They run out all the time so you have to time it right. This place is technically a bookstore I’m really reviewing the cafe in the back. The books are okay I guess.
