What a shame they invited us to Restaurant Oh Calamari and I ordered a Sweaty Fish. It was anything but sweaty fish, it was the broth with the raw fish, flavorless and cold. In order not to make the person who invited us feel bad, I brought the fish. and went to the trash

The food was bad, the seasoning was changed for fried products and the price was raised a lot.

Service person was very forgetful. The price is way way too high for the size of the plate. Would I return? That's a big maybe. It’s like eating in a night club. Loud and obnoxious!

I’ve been here a couple of times and each time have been highly satisfied! The staff is great, very attentive and friendly. The food is amazing, I have yet to try something I did not love! The portions are great as well. I really enjoyed the ambiance and karaoke! Would highly recommend 😊

This is overall a great place. Sometimes they miss, but overall great food. Eat here asap.

My brother and I ate some scrumptious ceviches, the grilled octopus was magnificent and the choritos a la chalaca were very good. It would be great if they opened another restaurant in other locations so we don't have to travel so far, although the trip is well worth it. I recommend them.

Lack of respect is a reason not to return. They took the microphone from my hand while I was singing a happy birthday video and they took away my plate without finishing eating and a group of 4 people who were friends of them, very unprofessional, sang more. and with the owner or manager in place it is seen that they are not interested in maintaining clients who bring friends and family to consume... this is how things will go for them in the future...👎👎

Pesimo, venia con frecuencia por eso decidimos venir a cantar y comer. Esperamos 1 hora y media para cantar y a Las personas que llegaron despues de nosotros cantaron mas y nos hicieron esperar. Pedimos un trago y nos trajeron limonada y cuando pedi que le aumentaran algo de alcohol me dijeron que si queria mas Alcohol debia comprarlo aparte. Una experiencia sumamente desagradable. No lo recomiendo. Para nada. Mas Canto el Dj que mi mesa. Se Nota Las preferential por algunos clients.

Great customer service and the ceviche was very fresh and citrusy which was a plus, however, my mojito was super watered down. My cousin did order a sangria which did not disappoint tho. Free parking in the front and karaoke on Friday nights. Would definitely come back for more Peruvian food.

This place has the best true Peruvian food! It is absolutely superior than all the many Peruvian places that I have tried in NYC. I loved everything I ate in this place and it has an amazing service! and will definitely come back many more times.

One of our favorite Peruvian foods in the area. They make the best bistek a lo Pobre. They also make the best chupe de Camaron. It’s a bit small but the service is fast. Always a delicious meal.

Hours of operation are wrong. Customer service is horrible. They close the kitchen a WHOLE hour before what they have on google. DO NOT PATRONIZE!

My husband and I have a great knowledge about peruvian food and always looking for good places to eat, this place is nice and the attention and atmosphere was very great, but the food wasn't awesome, just OK. The pollo a la brasa didn't had the flavor I was expecting, Fried rice also hadn't enough meat just a few, the same with arroz con mariscos. It's good to know because I not going to comeback again!

I loved everything about this place. I went there for my birthday, no reservation around 7 pm, and we were taken care of immediately. The waitress was very nice and was very good at checking on us whenever she thought it needed a refill or wanted anything else. She also described the food so well that I couldn't help trying everything she recommended to us. Now on to the food. The leche de Tigre was amazing. I can't complain about it, and I don't normally eat shrimp, so that says something. I got a whole platter of meats that I shared with my significant other and just loved it. My mother had the octopus, and my grandmother loved her fish. Honestly, everything was well seasoned. Will be back very soon.

The ceviche was lacking in every manner tasted watered down more than citrus the fish was too overwhelming the papa ala huancaina tasted more like just cheese with yellow coloring the potato that was supposed to come with it was toasted which is wrong and the Roccoto was lacking in its natural flavor the tallarines verdes were good and the pisco sours we’re delicious

No entiendo cómo pueden mandar las cosas sin revisar, encima llamo y en ves de disculparse me dice “que quiere que le diga” Lamentablemente comimos uno que no tenía hongos y solo espero que no nos haga daño porque entonces iremos más allá que poner un simple comentario.

Personal deberian amarrarse el pelo es antihigienico atender al public asi con el pelo suelto,nos trajeron el menù tarde,la comida mala ,el arroz con mariscos demasiado malo ,en general malo todo deberian cerrarlo.

Too clutter not enuff open space. First time with my family. We are Puerto Rican trying out Peruvian Food. Food came out hot. The Fish was good with the calamari and octopus. Yuca was DELICIOUS 😋 Fried Yuca. The French Fries I DO NOT Recommend. The Salmon dish, my son enjoyed. The Onions was sautéed and very good. Music was old school. Good memories. The Server was new so I understood. They need to have a Soda Machine for Free refill especially for the kids. The wait to leave was Not called for at all. The table wasn't being cleaned until we started cleaning off the table ourselves.

Horrible experience , the waitress are not trained in coustumer service, so rude, not even able to provide a menu to each person at the table, I was with my boyfriend and the girl just gave me the menu to me , and my boyfriend as waiting for good half an hour for the menu while she was talking with a coworker , when I call the manager he instead of apologizing and bringthe menu stated to invent that he has not enough menus,and the waitres had one in her hands, the poor manager is a joke, so I can imagine the kind of food, if the don’t even have menus, the server are rude, we said hello they didn’t answer, the manager looks retarder bedsides his answers, is a waiting time and money going to that place, people without education,, I don’t recommend it

Used to live in Kearny and always loved eating here. Always 5 stars and pricey, but once you tasted the food it was worth it. Just ordered take out last week and noticed the recipe was different and not better. Ordered the Lomo Saltado and the arroz chaufa mixto...was disappointed. The lomo has nice steak cuts but barely any onions nor tomatoes and no cilantro anywhere.... didn't taste the same as before.. The chaufa was different because there was barely any egg nor green scallions and instead had chopped green beans?! When does peruvian chaufa have green beans? They must have a new chef or new recipe but it was terrible. Hope they bring back the old chef. Until then will check other spots. The photos below are when Oh Calamares was really good 2 years ago. So they are not from 2 weeks ago when the food was bad.

If I could give this place 0 starts I’ll do it, Food is good but the staff is horrible, especially the bartender girl, she never has a smile, she never responds when greeted or said thank you, it looks like she really hates her job, I have been there with my husband several times and we have noticed in all the poor service, (you don’t want to tip for an experience like that but service is include, a thing that I dislike) the food is good but unfortunately we won’t return until they have changed the staff; I know there are also many good places out there with nice servers and delicious food, if you want an advice just go somewhere else!

Good place. Good service. Great food! I love this place for its food. I find this place has food that compliments the Peruvian palate I would say I have. My family and friends also like this place, many of which are not Peruvian. This is not to mention the service is great. I had an incident where my friend didn’t get his food order correct and we had to wait for the chef to make it over again. At first I was annoyed but the customer service really showed when they apologized right away and even took off an item on the bill. Mistakes happen, but how you answer to them shows how you value your customers. Good job!

I made a reservation for a party of 15 for a Friday night for my boyfriends birthday and they took such good care of us!!!! Service 5/5, didn’t get the waitress name but she was amazing. Great place to celebrate a birthday. It’s cozy, there was music in the background, good drinks! The only reason I took off a star is bc the food lacked a bit a flavor and they charge a credit card fee. But overall we had an amazing time! Thank you Oh Calamares !

Pisco sour is solid. Ceviche is my favorite spot in the area hands down. I bring my family, my friend and my colleagues here. Its so easy to get to and it is consistently great food. Doesn't matter what's on the menu, just close your eyes and point. It's one of the best if not the best in the area.

The four stars is for the lack of parking. Otherwise the food was great. The service was friendly and they explained the meals. The food came out correctly. The atmosphere was upbeat and lively. We were parked in the lot across the street, midway through our meal an announcement was made to move our cars. After driving around for more than 20 minutes unable to find a spot, we paid our bill with a dish unfinished and without getting dessert. We were with a group of friends, so this was an abrupt way to end our evening.

La comida esta bien, pero no para q vuelva a comer ahi, ( en mi caso ) , la atencion es buena, los tips ya estan incluidos en el bill, hasta si compras una portion de cake en tu bill ya te incluyen el tips.

Food was good but I had several issues with the service. The waiters were fine for the most part but failed to mention that the plate I had ordered was a different price than what was on the physical menu and online. Once I saw the dollar difference on the bill I kindly asked the waitress to confirm the price as I’m sure I saw it for cheaper. I waited and the manager came back saying that they had changed prices and had failed to update them, and asked if I could pay the new price even tho again there was no mention of this price update anywhere nor was it told to me. I told the manager I wasn’t paying extra for something that was not my fault, especially after they admitted fault. She was visibly taken aback and a few minutes later another server came back with the updated check. After waiting a comical amount of time (there was only one other occupied table at the moment and they had gotten there long before me) I was annoyed that all waiters had been hanging around and talking/joking while I continued to wait for them to pick up my card to pay. After a ridiculous amount of time I went over to the manager and told her I was ready to pay. She seemed surprised I had gotten up and immediately handed it over to the cashier. This whole situation was handled very poorly over $1 but it was the principle of it. I will not be returning.

Definitely not what I was expecting...especially knowing this place has been hear for such a long time... food taste bad... I only ate it because it cost me so much money smh... I don't recommend at all...go somewhere else and save your money and taste buds!!!

Desde que llegas al lugar eres recibido por la persona que se encarga de asignarle la mesa.... Muy profesional en su trabajo y a la vez mantiene el flujo de las meseras para que los clientes no tengan que esperar mucho tiempo. Recomiendo el pisco de lúcuma...... Mmmm delicioso.

The food was delicious, everything is fresh. I recommend the Seco Norteño and the Salmon al Pisco. The drinks are excellent, try the Pisco Sour, you won’t be disappointed. The service is good, the staff is very friendly. Very nice ambiance, great music. I give this restaurant 5 stars!

Despues de años de un arroz con pollo crudo, volvi y me dije ya pasaron años, tendran nuevos cosineros. Volvi por un ceviche y un lomo saltado ... el lomo ok vamos a meterle aji para q pase. Pero el ceviche fue un total insulto al peru.. quien sea q este cocinando porfavor ese no es su fuerte...
