Really awesome coffee shop. Super friendly staff. Excellent coffee. Cool vibe with a clothing store/surf shop all in the same building. Plenty of seating with a mix of normal tables and chairs, bar type seating with counter tops, and a lounge area with a huge TV. Prices are more reasonable and the portions are more fair than any other local coffee shop I’ve been to in and around OIB. Highly recommended. We went in and had coffee, a muffin, and a smoothie, but I noticed they had a drive through as well.

Cute place, great coffee and snacks, plus a real cute assortment of surf shop gear and clothes.

Be weary of buying anything from here. I bought a bag that broke upon first use and tried to exchange next day. They didn’t have another to exchange and refused to refund me. Gave store credit but I don’t live here and couldn’t use. Bad customer service for defective products sold. I had emailed receipt but that wasn’t good enough.

Excellent smoothies: peach and island colada. Muffin was best one ever according to my daughter. Friendly welcoming staff!

I've been coming to OIB for 26 years and have yet to find a coffee shop that compares. The Frappes are out of this world and the lattes are fantastic too. I have a bit of a sweet tooth so I ask for extra flavor with my lattes. The muffin are amazing my favorite are chocolatechip banna, and the pineapple and coconut.

We stayed in Sunset but made the quick drive each morning. To the friendly employees to amazing drinks, this place is a true gem. The Cloud 9 is a fave and this place will be missed when we go home.

My go-to coffee shop when my family and I visit Ocean Isle Beach! The coffee is good and strong, the atmosphere is great, and the employees are always so nice and efficient. Love this little gem!

My last few stops in have been very disappointing. The staff has not been at the same level of service and just too many other local places now for me.

This place is great if you’re on vacation! For the locals, service (especially at the drive-thru) takes way too long. Muffins are great, atmosphere inside is too but it’s literally 5-7 minutes per car outside.

I have to say the coffee shop has a good vibe and great merchandise. It’s unfortunate the male manager has clouded vision when it comes to greeting customers and making you feel welcome. He is lucky he has an all young female staff that hides his unfriendly greeting. This place could be better with the right manager in place .

I go to OIB Surf and Java every time I get a chance to, it’s my favorite coffee shop! They have the best coffee I’ve ever had, and also the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. They always greet me with a smile whether I come inside or go to the drive thru window. They really made my day today also, they had my large iced Ya latte with an extra shot ready within one minute of me ordering it because they saw me coming 🫶🏼 Shoutout to the wonderful staff members at OIB surf and Java you ladies are AMAZING and you all deserve a raise 😉

This place was lovely! I’ve never been to a place that was a fusion of a coffee shop and a store. The surf-related items being sold were very fun to look at and the coffee was very good! I had their Cloud Nine latte which was white chocolate mocha and toasted marshmallow. I appreciated their menu of fun flavor combinations and their atmosphere was great!

I came to the beach for business and a old friend asked me to meet her at surf and Java went today for coffee and I absolutely love this place the atmosphere here is relaxing and has great vibes . I ordered a horchata blended excellent . The staff are very welcoming and sweet .

I went with my dog and the woman at the drive through was super amazing and made my baby a pup cup and gave her a few treats. They made my drink quickly and were extremely friendly.

Went through the drive through. Received complementary pub cup. On Thanksgiving no less. When we visit The Winds resort for R&L we usually go daily for morning coffee.

Great spot for coffee and really cool apparel…also still have a good size range of wetsuits!

First time customer this week and the pumpkin cheesecake muffins were absolutely amazing! Everyone loved their coffees. Staff was very sweet and friendly. Establishment was beautifully decorated!

Best coffee in the area and I've tried them all. Go here regularly, drinks are always well made, baristas are wonderful. Whether you are on vacation or a local this is where you should go for coffee. Friends have said the smoothies are good also, haven't tried them myself.

This coffee shop was lovely! Visited after a sunrise walk along the beach, and it made the perfect stop to wake us all up! Excellent drinks, prices and atmosphere!

Definitely 5 stars!!!!!!!!! You have to get your coffee here!!! The employees are so sweet and the prices are so low compared to other coffee shops. A large frappe was only like $5! A large group of my friends and I all got different drinks and no one had complaints. We were all so impressed.

What a fun place! As soon as you walk through the doors you get a positive feeling with the hustle and bustle of the summer. The staff is so friendly and the owner is great. Their clothing and accessories tops off the beachy vibe. A must visit when in OIB.

We had a great time here. The frappe' was delicious. We bought several t shirts in a large variety. I bought a blanket that was made from recycled t shirts. I want another one to give as a gift. We vacationed at Ocean Isle for the 1st time this past weekend and really wanted to find a great coffee shop. Gave this one a go and I was so pleased! The coffee was good and strong and the employees were so nice and cheerful. Definitely will be my go to spot when we are in the area again.

We come to OIB every summer. I go to OIB Surf and Java every morning. I love the coffee(white mocha half sweet) and the feel. There is a great staff and great merch. I cant recommend it enough. Stop by!

Whenever I travel, I like to check out as many of the local coffee shops as I can while I'm there. This is by far the best one around! I would even say it is near the top of my all-time favorite coffee shops. We came three times while staying in OIB for a week. Be sure to try The Ya, it's amazing (and it's named after one of the baristas)!

We made the trek over the bridge and off the island almost daily to visit OIB Surf and Java. It has become my favorite OIB hangout. The entire shop is so welcoming - love their merchandise selection (and spent way too much $$ in the surf shop), the coffee is great and fairly priced - lattes and frappes are priced similar to other coffee shops. The staff are wonderful - helpful and cheery with great recommendations. My kids LOVED the smoothies and wanted to go as often as I'd let them. I loved the coffee and the frappes. They have great seating and working areas for people to come in and work, talk, or just hang out. We loved the vibe of this place and if we weren't at our house or on the beach, the rest of our group knew to find us at OIB Surf and Java.

Insanely good coffee, excellent and super friendly staff. They have a lot of really cool merch. A must go when at Ocean Isle.

Great, fresh coffee. AHHHMAZING homemade-in-house muffins. We’ve been making the short trek over the OIB bridge for the past few summers to get coffee and muffins here. The chill atmosphere of the surf shop and the friendliness of the staff is always so welcoming. Their prices are also fair. They’ve renovated the inside since last summer and it looks awesome! They now have a cozy sitting area with upholstered seating in a setting that makes you feel like you’re on your own little porch in the islands. Today we came to get my daughter a frappe for her birthday. They made a wonderful recommendation for the flavor and she loved it! 100% recommend OIB Surf and Java!

I got a strawberry and mango smoothie, and not only did it taste great, but the price was stellar. Came here on the recommendation of Gabbi at delilahs when they closed earlier today. I didn’t know there was so much more to this place! Cute clothes and accessories. Also a chill spot to work on my writing. I wish I would’ve ventured this way earlier in my stay.

The monkey bread and banana chocolate chip muffin were delicious! Banana one surprisingly didn't really taste like banana at all, which I'm fine with lol. I got their caramel macchiato which was really good! Very pronounced espresso flavor, not super sweet. I was less impressed with their mocha frappe. I probably would have liked it more if I had gotten it with a shot, the coffee flavor was seriously lacking for me. It wasn't overbearingly sweet though, just not flavorful enough overall. They also have some really cool merchandise and some nice outdoor seating options. Also masks required. Overall a nice place! I would go again if we visit the area again.

My partner and I come here everyday during our annual two week vacation and they remember our faces each year. Almost feels like coming home! Also, best iced americano EVER! Great staff, great service, and great coffee.

It's a brilliant idea! Surf Shop and Coffee Shop all in one. As a local I can say with 100% honesty that OIB Surf & Java has the best coffee in OIB and Sunset Beach area. They are a legit surf shop (actually sell boards) with a phenomenal staff and location with plenty of parking. Atmosphere is great with plenty of comfortable seating. It's a must stop and shop when in the area.

Friendly place. Cross conversations in the sitting area seem to be welcome. Variety of coffees and coffee drinks to choose from. Store offers jewelry, shoes, clothing, and dog toys among its many items. Great way to start your day--their sunny attitude is contagious. I love my time here.

Love this coffee shop! The drinks are delicious and the kids loved being able to play jenga and Uno to pass some time on a dreary day. We went twice in one day and both times it was delicious! Caramel macchiato and the snickers frappe were absolute delicious and 😋 the staff is super friendly! We'll be going back again soon!

Posting regarding surf lessons I received while on a company retreat. I was so thankful to be able to have Jesse teach surf three mornings in a row. I think by the third morning I was finally getting the hang of it. Extremely patient and kind. I would definitely suggest!!!!

Absolutely fantastic place. The coffee was excellent. Had a creme brulee frap and was beyond happy with it. The drive up window was very convenient but I would suggest visiting inside. Grabbed a t shirt that might be the softest thing I now own. Great selection of surfing equipment and other beach vacation essentials inside. If you're in Ocean Isle, definitely check this place out.

The staff and owner welcome you with a smile and have created a real sense of community. The coffee is so good, that we bought a pound to go as a souvenir. Last but not least, the fresh baked blueberry muffins and other pastries were hot and homemade delicious. In addition to the vibrant surf style coffee shop, there is a great surf & gift shop with high-quality clothes, surf gear, and nice souvenirs for those who want to get something higher quality than what you find at the junky tourist beach shops. If we lived here, we'd stop in every day before work! #CarolinaMorning
