Thus little hole in the wall has the best Gyros, tatziki sauce, and Baklava in the city. Better than Mykonos, Gyros.. and they are much more expensive.. sit enjoy a place that's been there for 40 years ( or more?), and enjoy some great Greek food.

Wanted a quick dinner of Mediterranean food for 2 of us. Ordered Moussaka and Vegetarian platters. The food was awful. Moussaka is normally made with ground beef/lamb and bechamel sauce. This was Shepard's Pie with allspice and the mashed potatoes had the consistency of spackle. The Greek salad was a house salad drenched in oil dressing with some dried Greek herbs. The Vegetarian platter had a falafel "wrap" with what can only be described as creamed falafel smeared in a pita. The pita was greasy and tough. Would definitely NOT recommend. Probably the worst meal we have had in years.

The Greek salad was wonderful for my husband without olives and with added onions.

New Owners and this restuarant is completely down the tubes. We haven't been here since before Covid and we moved away in 2022. It used to be decent Greek food. Now we're in town for an extended work stay and decided to try it again. (The better place, Zorba's, is apparently a Covid Casuality and is now permanently closed.). The first red flag was simply upon entering Olympia now — it looked dirty, run down, and decrepit inside. The second red flag was these were obviously not Greeks or people of Greek heritage running the cafe. The thick Middle Eastern accents, the TV prominently placed in the decrepit dining area blasting Al Jazeera — in ARABIC!!!!, not English, imposing that on customers, and the Hijab on the wife of the owner were the giveaways. But, what the heck. They must have bought the recipes, right? It was getting late, we were hungry, so we took the plunge and ordered. I ordered Pastichio, which for those who don't know, is a baked pasta dish often called a Greek Lasagna, with bechamel sauce. Husband ordered simply Souvlaki on a stick. Both platters. I normally like Pastichio. When the food came, as we sat there being inundated with Arabic TV, I took one look at this literal pile of MUSH on my plate and feared the worst. That concern was quicly confirmed — this pile of mush was absolutely inedible. I see now from other reviews that I'm not the first to experience this culinary disaster on dish. There was no resemblance to baked Pastichio. Very little pasta, and it, too, was mush. The top layer over the ground beef was a pile of an indeterminate something that looked like watery mashed potatoes, but tasted like uncooked watery dough. Absolutely inedible and absolutely disgusting. I nibbled on the salad that came with the platter, and threw the meal out. My husband was able to stomach the chicken on a stick, as it would be immensely hard to mess that up. It was so bad and here I was, with no food. No dinner. Not about to order something else in this disaster of a restaurant. We felt like we were sitting in the middle of room that hadn't been cleaned since Covid years. The anterior room had furniture piled up in like a storage room, and the owners sat there watching Arabic Al Jazeera and oozing imagined cultural superiority in the midst of this mess. How offensive can you be in America? Even in Albuquerque, with nearby college students who will eat just about anything, I cannot imagine how this place will stay in business, and hope it does not as it's an offense agasint Greek food and Greek culture. Appalling. Just appalling. Check the dates on the good reviews you see, as most of those appear to be more than two years old. Because I was hungry and it was getting late as mentioned and I was tired, we got up and went next door to McDonald's so I could at least get a burger and have something edible. And I was very upset about this whole culinary disaster. I would urge all to stay away. DON'T waste you money, your time, and your appetite. These people don't respect YOU, the customer, it's as if they're laughing at customers coming in and expecting Greek food. They don't respect the community, and they don't respect America. If you want Greek food, there's only one place left in Albuquerque. It's not casual like this used to be, or like Zorba's, but it's good. That's Mykonos, more of a white table cloth restaurant experience but worth it if you are hankering for real Greek food.

The leg of lamb was just 1 good burger size an two smaller peices of meat half the size an alot of fat for $19 dollars im very disapointed .an 3 slices of potatoes wedges an a salad also small .

Good Greek food, including the avgolemono, but the soup portions could be a bit bigger. They could also make some improvements with the painted Greek writing in the interior, which occasionally substitutes h for η -- no font restrictions on paint brushes, right?

Tabouli salad was so small, it wad in a dipping sauce container that wasn't full. No dressing, no olive oil, no lemon juice, no bulgar, nothing but some plain Parsley. Major rip off. Dolmas were plain. Every other place in town makes better dolmas these were the worst. I assume it's such a rip off cuz it's right by the university. Nothing by the college is good. They prey on the students.

Horrible. I relied on this place for years. I'm a chef. 35byears. I ordered the falafel. Thevperson that I spoke to a woman assured me two pieces wit regular order. I received 1, it was burnt and inedible. The tomato side salad fermented. Inedible . The hummus my dogbwouldntbtouch@.. Greek food in Albuquerque. Who wudda thunk? Quite good considering i've eaten Greek food since my boyhood in NYC. Inexpensive, fresh, extensive menu.

Went on a Monday, quick service. Dudes working the grill were very nice and made some great gyro and souvlaki. $21 and change got two sandwiches and dessert. Great value and food.

Use to be awesome… as of now they are completely disgusting. Don’t waste ur time here until they get the old cook back

This is the best little mom and pop Greek food in town; their humus and baklava are absolutely to die for and we adore the spices in the rice and chicken…real food never gets old!

Gyro came out cold and dry, replacement not much better. Souvlaki was tasty, but they forgot the salad then served one that seemed like it had been sitting around for a while. Forgot the drinks, had to ask. Staff member was apologetic, said it had been a busy day, offered dessert on the house as compensation. Place seemed not as clean as remembered. Used to be a favorite, but probably won’t return.

Feels a bit soulless... Needs the family feel and table service. Location set up more like a smaller cafe but actually a large enough space to turn the vibe into a really cute restaurant.

Decided to stop in Albuquerque checked into the hotel and realized it was time to eat. Did some searching on Google for something different. Olympia Cafe had 4 stars and the Lemon Chicken soup I like. As we left the hotel we asked about it at the front desk her eyes lit up and she highly recommended it. It was as good as she said.

Greek fast food, it was ok, but for a good price. Service wasn’t great and establishment was not very clean. The baklava was great!!

Worst falafel I have ever had- it was super greasy, fell apart, and the sauce was not good.

Food was mediocre at best, the meat was dry. Definitely overpriced Service was okay, they were not rude but also not welcoming. As just a restaurant, it is okay. It is not a good greek restaurant in any manner. Overall, would not recommend this establishment.

TERRIBLE AWFUL ..Wont even feed TO THE DOGS! This is NOT Greek food...it use to be owned by a wonderful Greek family..Now the owner is Israel Arab....the food is spicy and AWFUL! I have eaten hummus in the Middle East it does NOT come with a glob of red HOT sauce on it.,I have eaten falafels in the Middle East....they are NOT spicy. I have eaten at this location for 34 years.Never have had anything so awful. There are good GREEK restaurants in town....This food is ..I don’t know what....UGH. The place seems to have gone down some since I was last her which was almost five years ago. I ordered a gyro, beef souvlaki, a spanakopita and calamari. To start of with, the meat in my gyro was pretty dry and flavorless, the meat of the souvlaki was also tasteless in addition to being rough and difficult to chew. The spanakopita, while generous with the spinach was bitter and lacking flavor and the filo dough was far from being flaky and crispy. I'm not even going to start on the calamari. Needless to say that I was disappointed. I suppose, though, that being across the street from UNM, the students can appreciate the cheap prices and the filling food. However, the food doesn't have to be tasteless. I should've taken my cue from the total lack of customers in the restaurant.

The next time you are attending an event at UNM, try this place. Great Greek dishes! Located on the south side of Central NE across from Popejoy Hall. Plain furnishings, but great food.

Today was a rough day & out of all the surroundings restaurants this was the only place to let me, my bf & our 6 month old son come in and sit down to avoid the cold and the rain. The manager was super caring and generous feeding us and checking in. The food is amazing and i recommend to anyone looking for a yummy meal ❤️ 10/10

The people are super friendly and the food is really cool and I think authentic presented nicely. I would have to say tho that the place needs to be cleaner dirty dishes left around and floors dirty . Good verity on the menu for all diets

Gyro was pretty mediocre, what seemed not even a teaspoon of sauce added some flavor. One wouldn't expect a classic Greek meal to be so bland. Could have been an off night. Will try once more

The most recent night visit on 11/13/22 was super disappointing and worrisome! Hadn't been there in a few years. The entire starry-eyed University experience has been upset by a bad Covid economy and supply issues, as well as new owners. It simply wasn't the Greek family-owned place it once was. Rice was greasy and overcooked, salad simply didn't compare. The atmosphere was dirty, dingy, and simply questionable. Why did I stay, you ask? When my very leary wife walked up to the entrance, surveyed the lack of customers, turned around and said, "Looks sketchy, let's go!" Answer: I was that starry-eyed college student wanting to reenact our first date 20 years ago, and it was our first Sunday night out in...since middle age, haha! I replied, "It's fine!" As I pulled open the door and walked up to order my chicken souvlaki. My wife didn't eat her $13 vegetarian combo and wiped off the cleanest silverware she was able to pick out. I proceeded to eat my vinegar-laden salad and hers, and my souvlaki, and badly or nonspiced tatziki sauce/plain yogurt. No cucumbers anywhere. I didn't get sick!

It's a walk-in, purchase at the counter, wait for your number to be called, get the tray and sit in rooms that have fast-food tables and benches. The food is good.

Olympia is my go to for Greek food. Always sooooo good. I ordered the gyro with salad and galtobureko as a treat. I wish I lived closer so I could enjoy Olympia more often. It brings me back to the Astoria New York Greek food I use to enjoy . The setting is university Cafe. A nice amount of tables for seating, in 2 rooms. There are boothes and tables. All with window views looking out at Central. Parking is available in front and back.

Used to like coming here but service has gotten increasingly bad, young man who took our order was rude and when we got takeout our order was messed up. Tried to call them and he hung up on us. Ridiculous.

We love this place but this time it wasn't the best. My food was a little undercooked, hadn't been cleaned up. I still love this place.

Recommended by some friends didn't get that. So got something different, next time I will get friends recommendations. But very friendly and attentive service!

Used to be great, but recently the food and cleanliness have gone down hill.

Rude staff and place was really dirty. Walked in and tried to ask a balding gentleman (who seemed to be the cook) about the menu. I could tell he didn’t want to be there and was in an angry mood. F- in my grade book

2 stars for interior design effort. Minus three stars for average gyro meat and not great tzatziki sauce, and a flavorless piece of pita bread. Also, refills on any drink are 54 cents each. I thought maybe the initial price for a drink might be lower and this is how they make up for it, but no they still charge $2.50 for a tea. Save your money, go to Yasmines instead.

I’ve been waiting for over 30 minutes, still haven’t gotten my food that I’ve already paid for, and there are only 3 customers in the entire building! There are 6 staff members! I love the food, but it isn’t worth the wait. I will go to another place from now on. Update: I got my food and it’s cold. Waited for 30 minutes with hardly any other customers here and the food is cold.

Food was good but the restaurant and restroom was dirty. I had to clear food off seats and table. Floor was really dirty and silverware had food stuck to it. I took my daughter with me and was embarrassed that I had chosen this restaurant. I would not go back.

Best take out in a while! Everything was great. (Lamb chop was a little salty for my taste, but I don't use salt so it could have been me. )

I got the chicken shawarma and it was quite good and very filling! However the dine in experience isn't that great. The tables are sticky, the floor is a mess and there are boxes hanging around the place. Overall quite good but dine in experience can be improved.

I got a 1/2 Greek salad and a diet Dr. Pepper. The salad was ok. The drink was totally flat. It’s a cafeteria style place so you order, take a seat and they will call your number when your food is ready. Staff was nice. Seems authentically Greek. I didn’t love how rundown it was. It’s rough, and I might not run back again for a second try, but I’m glad I gave it a try.

Can get vegetarian for my sister and carnivore selections for me.

Food was very good and 📐 was exceptional

Very disappointed with Olympia. Ordered delivery and two of our items (both of the entrees) were missing protein, and one of our two desserts just wasn’t included. Tried to call an hour before they close and no one answered. I’m sure our delivery service will have to compensate us for the mistake, so Olympia won’t even have to redeem us in any way.

This place use to be great! The pita bread was old and my Gyro was cold. The floor was slippery with either soap or grease! I’m surprised someone has not broke there neck! Very sad! I hope the owners get there act together. Very disappointed.😞

Excellent Mediterranean food with super star service. Ask for a recommendation if you are feeling adventurous - they won't disappoint! Best baklava and scratch-made hummus in town. We will be back!

I have ate at this restaurant for over 10 years and today I found a piece of metal in my Gyro. It was kinda like a piece of a scorch pad. Please look at your food before you eat. I honestly am so afraid I ate some if it. I will never go there again.

Ordered the recommendation of the owner and it was all absolutely delicious. The gyro meat with the tzatziki paired with the hummus and pita was delightful and made for a wonderfully filling meal.

I have been eating here for over 30 years. I love it here. The inexpensive and nourishing food kept me alive in college. Returning here later in life brings a little tear to my eye. That quickly goes away once I eat my falafel.

I came on Sunday morning and waited 45 min. for opening because I have been craving some lamb. I ordered the souvlaki platter that comes with one skewer of marinated lamb chunks, small salad, and a spoon of rice. While I waited for the food, I could barely hear myself think due to the blasting of a Greek soccer game. There was nowhere to go inside to avoid the racket. I also had trouble finding a clean table, though I was the first customer of the day. The service was excellent, and all the food had a great flavor, but the lamb chunks were overcooked, dry, and full of gristle. It was like gnawing on sinew. It was not worth half of the price I paid.

This place is great, best Greek food in ABQ. They have a Great chicken Shawarma sandwich!

I wanted to try a Greek restaurant while visiting ABQ. This place has the most delicious entrees. We ordered the beef shawarma, beef kabob and lamp kabob. It was so good I forgot to take pictures of it. The rice pudding was kinda bland but because the food was so hot and delicious. I will definitely come back to eat here.
