Great place to eat, great food & very good waiter

The BEST gyro sandwich! They don’t skimp on the meat. Great value for your $$. The meat and tzatziki sauce are so fresh and flavorful.

Had the pork tenderloin dinner. It was wonderful. I dined here with my grandparents when I was younger.

Like everything else, this restaurant has gotten expensive . 50.00 for breakfast... we can't justify it.

Some of the best diner food in the area. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you can’t beat this place. The Greek chicken and potatoes are some of the best. Saganaki is also a crowd favorite. Not too many places do that anymore. The service is fantastic also. Great place to eat a good hearty meal.

My family and I have been vacationing in the area for years and we have been coming here for years! The staff are incredibly friendly and the gyros and greek salad are delicious!! The other dishes look great but I typically come for the gyros!

It is obvious the secret is out! Olympic Star has good food, good portions, good prices, good service (Armando was polite, attentive, efficient!) We will definitely come again. We got saganaki before we realized that our lunch meal came with soup, fries, bread and butter. You definitely get your money's worth here which explains why in this economy the place is busy! Appetizer saganaki: delicious! Soups: delicious! Sandwiches: delicious! This place ✔ off all the boxes with enough food for another meal. We will be back!

Been coming here for years great food friendly staff we came in close to closing time and they were happy to accommodate our needs.

Food wad terrible didn't eat it paid 64 dollars for food that was absolutely gross at least the breakfast part is horrible biscuits not cooked and gravy idk maybe it came from a box who knows but definitely don't go for breakfast

This place is great! When I think about getting a gyro, this is what I expect. On top of that you get a lot of food with your meal.

Greeted with a smile. We split the Gyro platter and salads. Great food and service! Even had nonalcoholic beer! Well done!

Not much to look at from the outside, but don't let that deter you. The food is really good, especially the breakfast. Eggs Benedict were on point, could have used some garnish for presentation but that only gets in the way. Sausage patties were well seasoned and perfectly cooked.

Great Family Style Greek restaurant

Tip to the waitress we had this morning …Just because you have an extremely large group at another table - should not mean that you give mediocre service to table of 2 nearby. You approached us without a smile and making us feel as if we were bothering you. (My receipt shows server’s name as Isabelle but she never even introduced herself since that would have been too much effort, I guess) We have been going here for 8 years but probably going to try a different restaurant the next time - one that doesn’t hire cranky waitresses.

Decided to try this place because it got good reviews but it was not worth the money… food was overpriced for the quality.. also probably the WORST “homemade “ tuna salad sandwich I have ever had! It was almost inedible! A mushy pink mess that just tasted like dill pickles…. $ 12.99 really??? The chicken flatbread sandwich had more flavor but for $16!… NOPE… also the reviews that say fresh rolls with soup is false… they are individually vacuum sealed that can be bought from a restaurant supply store so they last forever … coffee, milk and juice will cost you $4 a glass!!! Will never return.. our bill was $55 then left a $11 cash tip so it was almost $70 for mediocre food. Go to Cracker Barrel or Country House… much bigger portions and better quality

Best Gyros in America!!! Real fresh lamb. The menu has each main geographic area represented. Breakfast lunch and dinner with snacks to hold you until your next meal. Sandwiches salads homemade soup. At least five choices and hot rolls and or bread. Dessert is a must. Fresh fruit is available all day long. The club Sandwiches are so delicious and very difficult to finish Most people will take a portion of their meal with them. A strong sense of leadership and customer service is always present. The staff from the kitchen to the dining room is second to none. Restrooms are very clean and sanitary. Attend!!!

The waitstaff here is exceptional, delivering outstanding service. Last night, Joshua served our family of five adults during dinner, and he was truly remarkable. From taking our orders to handling the bill, Joshua's service was top-notch, joining the ranks of Isabella and Mondo, two other outstanding members of the waitstaff team.

We initially hesitated when we discovered that only a small portion of the menu was Greek, but our concerns vanished once we tasted the food – it was excellent! An authentic touch was their correct use of the word "gyros" as a singular. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her gyros plate, and I was equally pleased with my souvlaki meal. Both dishes were well-seasoned and came in generous portions, necessitating takeaway boxes. It was clear that the locals adore this place, and we certainly plan to return.

This place felt like home. The food was delicious and their service was outstanding! I had their Greek broiled chicken and cream of chicken soup was to die for !!! Highly recommend.

We were looking for Greek food, so it made us a bit nervous to find how little of the menu was Greek. We need not have worried. The meal was excellent! One sign that this cuisine is authentic is that they use the word "gyros" properly, as a singular! (The Greek plural is "gyroi".) My wife genuinely loved her gyros plate. In turn, I liked my souvlaki meal. The food was well seasoned. And the helpings were very generous. Boxes were required. It was obvious that the locals love this place. We will be back.

Olympic Star was not bad, the service was really good. We had the nicest server, very helpful. Food wise, the breakfast was better than the gyro plate. The strips of gyro were hard, crunchy. At first the taste was good, but then it just became too garlicky or too much onion. I did not eat the onion as I don’t eat raw onion, but maybe because the plate had too much onion it then penetrated to the gyro? The pancakes and the skillet were very good.

First time. Generous portions. Spacious floor plan. Clean restrooms. Enjoyed my meal. What more can I ask for?

This is a long-lasting Greek type restaurant. the the staff is very, very good. the owners are friendly. the food is always fresh and a true value. . I like it for breakfast and lunch. but I would not hesitate going there for dinner. it's unpretentious and warm.

O star has always been a favorite. We love our waiter. Been there for years. The wine was delicious, too.

Our server, Josh, provided excellent service to our large group. He was friendly, attentive, and accurate. Their menu has lots of options, including all-day breakfast. They also have a good selection of alcoholic drinks. Prices are higher than what they used to be, but at this point that's expected at most places.

Service and food quality have declined over the last years. Coffee refills are slow ($3.49 for a cup of coffee). Overall quality of food and pride in the product presented to the customer is abysmal. They're also now charging a flat fee to use your credit card, which is tacked onto your bill without an explanation. Olympic Star used to be a place where you got a hearty helping of food at a reasonable price and a staff who genuinely cared about your dining experience. Unfortunately, that is no longer the norm.

There are many good dishes to choose from but OMG the barbecue ribs are delicious!

Everything and everyone here is frozen in time. I've been coming here for years with my Dad now, and nothing seems to change. But it's been great to come in and calm down and talk. A very comfortable welcoming place with good breakfast and coffee!

Pork tenderloin burnt Sent it back, very disappointed to see the extra charge for salad dressing when there cream garlic was terrible. Rice pudding the grains hard. Never again new owners good luck.

Great place for latenight breakfast craving... or anytime during the day... So bummed it's not open 24 hours anymore. It was a great place to go for a BIG breakfast after working late. The menu at Olympic Star is HUGE. Get a diner vibe when you sit at the counter & can see the cooks...

I've been going here with my family ever since I was a child. I no longer live in Tinley Park, but I make sure to visit OS every time I'm in town. They have a friendly staff and the food is consistently good. Make sure to get their famous cream of chicken soup!

We have been here for almost 35 years. Actually went here on our first date. Food and staff are always great. This last time I ordered something I used to get all the time, but haven't in almost 5 years due a surgery I had. Ate a few bites and just couldn't handle it. I asked for a bowl of soup. I never asked for it to be taken off the bill because I ordered it, ate some and it was fine, just not something my stomach could handle. But she removed it without being asked. Great service as always!

We live 6 hours away. When in town this is a must. Quartz of chicken and rice everytime.

Ordered over the phone and never received bacon for my omelette and when I ordered a quart of chicken noodle soup it had to tiny pieces of chicken in it for almost $12
