We tried Opa! for the 1st time on Friday 8/30, for my birthday and had an absolutely fantastic experience from the moment we walked in the door, to when we left! Layla greeted us and was also our server. She's incredibly kind, very accommodating, and excellent at her job! She checked on us throughout and made sure we always had what we needed. The food was amazing! We had the mini cheese pies for an appetizer, the gyro platters for our main course and then baklava for dessert! They sang happy birthday to me which was really cool - and broke a plate! We loved the atmosphere, comfortable, and designed beautifully. We already can't wait to go back!!

Very solid choice for Greek food! Saganaki was yummy. Potatoes & green beans were solid. Pastitsio was a little too tomato saucy for me, but still satisfied my craving.

Walked in for carry out.. ALL the food was incredibly delicious . The Greek salad was so crisp and fresh, gyros, potatoes and pita were also delicious! Our new favorite for this area. Thank you for your service

Great atmosphere and the food was delicious

Food is ok-good but my experience getting carry out on a regular basis has not been great! A $20 tip was added (not by me) and thankfully my bank caught it. Also I have been shorted items I’ve ordered and had to go back for more than once. Last Gyro meat in my carry out looked like the last of it (dry and not what they’ve served in the past). Will be taking an indefinite break from Opa. Coworker says a Greek Restaurant on 86th St. is with the drive. Will be looking into that.

I had an absolutely great time there. I have had take out food there many many times, but this is the first time in nearly 5 years living in Plainfield, that I went to eat at their restaurant and it was amazing. Food was great, the environment is welcoming, clean and spacious. The service was spot on and my rose marguerita was absolutely the best! I would recommend trying!

One of our favorite places!! We had a nice relaxing evening on the patio even though it was raining. Brady was very busy, but made sure everything was great. Fabulous food as always. The best french fries ever!! We have to enjoy the baklava even if you have to take it to go!!! Another fabulous meal today. So nice to sit outside and Charm was very pleasant as well!! WOW, great food and service today. Charmylia was pleasant and very attentive!! Fantastic food and Colleen made it fun. New favorite place!! Visited again today and were lucky to have Colleen take care of us. Super friendly as always. Our meal was awesome and the carrot cheesecake was to die for!! Highly recommended!!

I order every time I’m in the area. I’ve never been in the restaurant but order through DoorDash. Food is so amazing. My favorites are the Garlic Feta Pasta and the Pan Fried Skordalia. I just love it!

The food is absolutely to die for, perfectly braised lamb, the portions are excellent. It feels healthy and nurtures the soul. The Greek wines and beer are of top quality. I cannot recommend this place enough.

There are not a lot of quality choices for Greek food in the Indianapolis area. We live an hour away and will travel to eat here. There is something for everyone on the menu and all well prepared. The only drawback to me is the noise level, it is hard to hear your fellow diners due to no soft surfaces to absorb sound. However the noise does add to the lively Greek atmosphere!

Meh, not worth the hype. The food was cold. The spaghetti was tasteless. Definitely will not be running back for more.

My second time eating greek food, I ordered the pork shiskabah it tasted delicious. The next day around 3 am I was feeling weak and tired, I threw up and I think I got food poison.

Sadly I must change my review from 5 stars to 1. I went with my girl on my birthday because their ad in the Avon Magazine offers a FREE meal & desert! The waiter did not know of this so he sent over a Guido looking muscle dude who claimed to be the owner but is not the one I had always seen there before for the last decade. He also claimed ignorance to this promotion and suggested I run home and get it. I was dismayed by his combative tone and told him so. That's when he browbeat me & my girl until we lost our appetites so we paid for our wine and left. I doubt I will return unless I hear from the kind older gentleman I always knew to be the owner.

A group of us were coming in, however one of the girl employees were sitting by the front door outside on their cell phones, and Smoking! Killed our appetite there.

Food was delicious, a little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. The staff was friendly and I loved the outdoor seating and bar options.

The food at Opa is always good. The service is always slow. But the food makes up for that. Just be sure to go when you are not in a hurry and you'll be fine

My wife and I had an Awwwssummmmmm experience in OPA's Greek restaurant. The people there are very friendly, courteous and through they take care of allergy sensitive orders. My wife has a serious gluten allergy problem and they're always mindful of that. May 12, 2024 Mother's Day. I took my wife, my son and my Mother inlaw to OPA's, we had a very enjoyable lunch. OPA's has a very nice ambience and their people take care of their customers. My wife had grilled pork kabobs with rice pilaf, stewed green beans and tomatoes a greek salad and raspberry tea. My mother inlaw had grilled porkchops with rice pilaf, stewed green beans and tomatoes a greek salad and unsweetened tea. My son had grilled shrimp kabobs with rice pilaf, stewed green beans and tomatoes, a greek salad and a Pepsi. I had the grilled shrimps, rice pilaf, stewed green beans and tomatoes a greek salad a side of Gyro meat and a diet Pepsi. We had a great time, the service was very good and the food was very tasty. We're looking forward to having lunch and/or dinner at OPA's real soon!!! Thank you OPA Greek and American Restaurant. 👍

Upon peeking it, the place looked very fancy and we were worried it would be a problem to have our kids (4 and 1) eat at Opa. Instead, the food was EXCELLENT, the staff were warm and friendly, and they even modified the kids menu for our picky eater. 10/10

Didn't like the green bean mix or potatoes and its the same sides for everyone so not much on the side choices.

Worst experience ever ! Waitress never checked on us , we waited so long for her to even come to get our check, i told her i don't like the green beans and she is like " oh oke" still didn't take them off the bill ( it was visible that i didn't even eat from them ) didn't even offer to exchange them for something else because by the time she comed we where done with our meal . Gyro meat wasn't even worm , but it was tasty . the Hot dolmades where really tasty .. End of story we would never be going back again , i do not recommend it .

Just a Heads Up Food was inconsistent. Calamari is overcooked gyro meat seemed cold and leftover without proper re-preparation, rice and green beans were also cold. Potatoes were the only item that was actually hot. Not sure if there is new ownership, but Opa used to be one of the best spots in all of Avon/ West Indy, now other options seem to be better. For the price, your experience would be better suited somewhere else.

If you ever want quality Greek food, look no further than Opa! I've never had a bad meal from them, and Art is always so hospitable! Today I had the absolute best herb covered chicken and I can't wait to have more!!

The food is very good. The service was not bad. The waiters and the place need a little more cleaning. The floors are too dirty and the tables are also dirty.

Tried this place for the first time after multiple recommendations from friends, and we loved it! My partner and I have been looking for some place near us with good gyros and Opa! did not disappoint. We also had the spinach spanakopita appetizers, and they were perfect, highly recommend. Side salad was also good, can't go wrong with a classic greek salad, my only wish is that there were more olives - they were light on the olives and heavy with the feta. But that is entirely a personal preference. Next time we go, there are definitely several other dishes (Musakas and the Pork Shish Kebabs) that stood out as sounding particularly good and will be trying. The atmosphere was lovely. There were a few TV's, but no sound, which was nice, it made for a much calmer atmosphere in which to talk and have a good time, there were tons of tables, and the decor was pretty and very atmospheric. We went on a Wednesday around 6:30 and were seated right away, no wait at all, and our server was extremely friendly and attentive to us. We were in, orders placed, and done eating within 30 minutes or less, but also did not feel the need to rush to free up our table as it was not busy. They also have a full bar, though we skipped out on the drinks this time.

Opa!! 🇬🇷🏛️🏺🇬🇷🏛️🏺🏺🏛️🇬🇷After an amazing evening watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding (best movie of all time) we decided to visit our local greek restaurant that 30 mins away coincidentally. LOL. 🤣🤣 After made our trek (in a manual electric blue honda) we were so graciously welcomed by Elias of Athens, Greece. We enjoyed our authentic greek version of pierogi and many classic greek entrees. Their display of 2 different locations for bathrooms is very efficient and accessible for those of us with disabilities (1/4 of our party) LOL . But beware, the door handle turns the opposite way that you are expecting (yes…. counterclockwise !!) Anyway our server was great and we had a spectacular night out of the country. Reminds me exactly of EPCOT.

Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy my meal. From the calamari to the lamb chops all tasted like it was saturated in lemons🥹🥹. I was here first in 2021 and the food was awesome. The staff was amazing. Our server was quick and kind. The bathroom was dirty. Overall not a good experience. I might try one more time before I decide if it’s no longer worth it.

Could be a great experience but definitely missed the mark. Food was room temperature at best and our waiter never checked on our table and I had to go to the bar to get an ice tea for one of our party. Most all the wait staff were sitting around by the bar talking to each other. One and done unfortunately.

My husband and i had a date night here at Opa's. The ambience was great, the service was amazing! Dinner portions are very generous and you will go home with leftovers. Everything tasted delicious. Now one of my favorites to go to.

I picked OPA for my birthday dinner, and it did not disappoint. Seated immediately, friendly server, meal was excellent. I ordered more than I could eat to make sure I had leftovers.

Gyros are always great, and their feta is the best around! Our service was fantastic because our waitress was personable and took great care of us.

Food felt like my mother cooked it. If you want to try amazing authentic food, I would highly recommend to go there. Don’t even think about it, no food in Indiana can top this place. Trust me!!! Did I mention how polite and nice the staff are? Or the food 😍. Don’t get me started again. Fr Fr HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO GO THERE!!

I haven't been that wild about Greek food, so I was hesitant when my boss took us to lunch here. I am now somewhat of a convert! Their green beans were especially awesome, and I really liked the meatball dish I ordered. The staff was very gracious as well in accommodating our needs.

The service was good, the food was delicious and it didn't take very long to get either.

This was my 2nd visit and unfortunately it was not as good as my 1st. The waiter was new and young and inexperienced. He checked on us often but he did not make the dining experience a pleasure. He seemed too worried to be himself and just focus on providing us with good service and thanking us for dining with them. The food was good but not great. My wife's chicken was over cooked and dried out.

Wonderful service for a large group. I don't eat meat so had the spinach and feta cheese quesadilla. Not very good. Spinach was soggy and quesadilla was not very full. Came with chips, which were small broken pieces. Should have tried spinach pie instead.

Had an excellent experience savoring authentic Greek cuisine. The service was remarkable—friendly and attentive. The waiter let us to sit in patio, and turned on the heater for us. The only drawback was the presence of some burnt bits from the grill in the dishes. Nevertheless, our order of four meals, including the Gyro platter, Chicken Gyro platter, Beef Skewer platter, and Lemon Grilled Chicken platter, along with a delightful Baklava Cheesecake, offered a delicious and health-conscious dining option. I'd certainly revisit for another round.

It is not the first time I visit this restaurant! The atmosphere created with details of the Hellenic Mediterranean culture and tradition pleases the eye every time you go. The first thing that catches your eye is a Mediterranin welcome from the restaurant staff, whoever is on duty. As I said above, the decoration with aesthetic taste, relaxes you very pleasantly. Traditional Greek food is definitely the icing on the cake for this restaurant. Our favorite place. It's almost like eating with family. We actually love it so much, we got married there!

The Atmosphere is just fun! As you sit and enjoy your meal you can look at all lovely scenery and breathtaking views and along with the smells and aromas, with the laughter and shattering plates and Shouts of "OPA" your gonna be Quickly transported to A Whole New Place! It's Relaxing even with the passing trays that may Catch a Blaze and get Oohhs and Aahhhs from All! It's just the Best tasting Food too, isn't that why we came? I was so happy to indulge in the Pork Gyro and the sauce was perfect! The Fries were By Far thee Best Ever! Have you dreamed of a golden brown, crisp, perfectly tender inside french fry? These were those! Total Bliss! The Pork Loin burger with feta and olives was a home run! Round the meal Out with some of the best Service! The bar is Fantastic and there's no reason not to Sit our on the Patio with the Heaters they have out there! The whole place sets the Mood for Thee Perfect Night!

The boss apparently likes a good slice of pizza. Ive delivered twice. He is kind and generous, feeding me both times. The food is excellent, the restaurant beautiful, and staff very friendly! Impressed on many levels!!!
