Best Greek food I’ve had outside of Greece! And the service is amazing. 10 out of 10.

I’ve been coming here the past few months since I was told about this place by my aunt. I get the grilled chicken gyro. It’s such a generous portion and so delicious. Always fast service. The ladies that work there are always so nice but the gentleman that works there I’m assuming the owner, is even more amazing very kind man.

I would really like to say I’ve had their food but I’ve tried twice now and they have been closed when I showed up. Don’t trust the hours posted on Google.

We always like to go here Friendly atmosphere and good food. Excellent service. Did not like the young man behind the counter cooking wearing shorts. It felt unsanitary.

This is one of the best meals I've ever had. The dips are incredible, the gyro is overflowing and delicious, this is now our family's favorite place to eat!

Lovely place and great food with belt-loosening portions. Their traditional gyro with garlic sauce had incredible flavor with every bite, and was very packed for the cost. Their baklava was very tasty, but a bit hard to cut with my fork and eat due to the pastry being a bit tough. Overall great experience, wish it was closer

My wife and I visited Greece for our honeymoon, and eating here reminded us of the great time we had there. If you like Greek/Mediterranean food, this is your go-to place.

The restaurant was clean, the service excellent and everything reasonably priced. The total price for two gyros and appetizer was $33.

Talk about amazing food and even better customer service! I was welcomed at the door as soon as I walked in and conversated with the guy while they finished my food. All in all very satisfied!

This is my favorite Greek restaurant. Dishes are great and big. Suggest to share. Love the Chicken Argo’s and Calamari Mikonos

What an awesome experience! The food (I had the spicy chicken) was a new type of dish for me, and it surpassed my expectations. It was simy unique and delicious to my taste buds. Our server was super attentive and friendly, and the cook (which I assume is the owner) came out to thank everyone for our business. If you care for support local business, I would suggest going out of your way to find this amazing place. They make you feel like you are part of their family.

Everything you would expect from a plave that serves great Greek food, i've had Gyros on the island of Crete and this was identical. The staff was super friendly! Great food, Great portions, feels like eating over at family.

You’ve absolutely got to try Opa Vera’s! The food was a 10 out of 10 - and for a great price, too. If you get a platter, no doubt you’ll get two meals out of it. The owner and staff were also super welcoming. We will definitely be back again and again.

I bought 2 platters ( Vegetarian Platter and Marinated Chicken Platter) the Opa Vera dips and extra falafel. All of it was fantastic. We split between 3 people and had leftovers. Great portion sizes and the staff was extremely friendly. Will definitely go again soon!

Best Mediterranean food I've ever had!

Live right down the street my whole life, always wanted to try this place, not sure why I waited so long! Food was great. 2 gyros, fries, and the dip spread. Very very good 100% would recommend. Saw these guys on Doordash and figured I'd give them a try. Food was ready rather quickly. Opted to go in to pick the food up. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Found my new favorite place! Thanks again, guys. Will be coming to dine in next!

Spicy gyro platter is a favorite

Ordered a salad with falafel and pita online to pick up. The salad was SO good!! Huge portion, fresh vegetables, excellent falafel. I had the garlic dressing which I highly recommend. The pita was fresh or freshly heated at least and delicious. When I walked in to pick up my food everyone was welcoming and fun. I kind of assume the couple that own it were in the kitchen. They seemed happy, which warmed my heart to see. (I watch Kitchen Nightmares, lol) the space was a little odd, there were a few booths and table and then a dance floor with a Christmas tree. Maybe a work in progress. 12/10 would return for that salad and falafel and pita. Edited to add photos!

Got takeout several times. Always gave a tip even though it was takeout. Was NEVER given a receipt. So my 4th time in for takeout, I asked for a receipt, only to find out i was being charged a service fee each time also!!! I've never gone back and won't!!

We were the first customers to come in and man it was the best. We were welcome by possibly the owner and he was so down to earth and traditional. He played Greek island music for us and suggested a few dishes. All were 100% authentic Greek food.

My wife and I love Greek food. Went to Greece last year for two weeks and this food is spot on and you get what you pay for. Gyro was the size of my head and the spicy Greek cheese option was delicious, grape leaves were decent and the baklava is definitely a must (added coconut ice cream on the side of it at home) Will be back soon.

Really wanted to love the food. Sadly my salad did not have fully rinsed lettuce. I thought maybe it was from the olives but it’s very gritty dirt. Also had the traditional gyro but wasn’t a fan of the meat. Tasted like it had a lot of filler.

We love Opa Vera's. They are always so welcoming, food is fresh. We especially love the Greek salad and that dressing, wow. The fries too.

Food was amazing best Greek food I have ever had. The only negative part was my wife ordered alfredo and added the chicken which the menu said it was an extra 3 dollars but when I received the bill it was a extra 6.99 for the chicken and when I asked my waitress about the price difference she said oh yah we need to update the menu sorry about that. But they didn't change my bill so I left unhappy about that. The food was great.

We were in Pottstown recently, and stumbled upon this wonderful little gem of a restaurant for dinner. Starting with the food - everything was fresh & flavorful. We ordered a Horiatiki salad, along with a traditional gyros sandwich, as well as a spicy gyros (I think it was named Vera Gyros on the menu). Everything was wonderful - all fresh veggies, wonderful seasonings, sauces, & dressings. Fabulous food. Service was also wonderful - family run operation, and they take care of their customers. The owner is a very friendly & warm individual. Makes everyone feel like part of an extended family. We will definitely be back to enjoy another dinner next time we are in the area. Definitely worth the trip there.

I've been going to this place for years. I've tried many things on the menu. The traditional gyro is the best. You can't beat the portion size for gyros in this area. Owner is great as well as the staff.

We are not from around this location and we stopped here by chance. We walked in and nobody eating. It was 3pm. We wanted to walk out. But after driving for over two hours we just wanted to eat. Since this is a greek restaurant we figured eat what they should be good at. We both got gyros. My wife and I thought they had the best gyros we ever ate. What a great suprise. If they were close we would defeniley comeback! We also met the cook/owner. What a nice guy and his accent made you feel like you were in "my big fat greek weding" movie. :-)

Best Greek food in the NW burbs. Their pita sandwiches and platters are very nicely proportioned and perfectly seasoned. The family running the place is always super nice and accommodating.

We had a great appetizer and dinner tonight! The owner is super friendly, the service was great, and the food was fresh and delicious! We both got a gyro and split the spinach and feta dip with pita bread. If you want authentic delicious Greek cuisine, would for sure check out!

Ordered for takeout through Slice app. Meat Gyro with extra tzatziki sauce on side. And a falafel veggie gyro with extra tzatziki sauce on the side. Did not get the extra sauce. The gyros were very large. Will definitely go again. Great taste.

The food is phenomenal, and the service equally good. Opa Vera's is a stand-out restaurant for this area. I had the classic gyro, and it was perfect. Highly recommend the combo platter app; the spreads and pita were out of this world. The owners make us feel like family. Can't wait to go back!

Love this place! Everyone is so friendly (especially the owners) and welcoming. I crave their hummus all the time. You have to get the house favorite app and ask for extra pita. The lemon chicken soup is pretty good, but nothing better the gyros (regular and the falafel). I normally grab it as take out, but I always leave their restaurant with a smile. One of the best restaurants around!

Whenever my wife, daughter and I come down to Pottstown from our house in the Poconos, we make it a point to stop in for some amazing Greek food. The staff are always warm and welcoming, making us feel like members of the family. My 7 year old loves to visit Angela and have some chicken tenders with French fries. The traditional gyros and chicken lemonato platters are better than I have had from restaurants in Astoria, Queens! Opa!

I love Opa Vera. Consistently delicious and portions allow you to have leftovers. The owner is warm and welcoming. Shrimp Mykonos is my favorite. My family's loves this place. We've been using them as our go to take out for years.

Best Greek food around and a wonderful, friendly, family run business. Stopped by this week for pickup and everything was absolutely delicious with a good portion size. It's a been a little while since the last visit and I was glad to see they are open for eat in business again. Allthentic Greek im sure u had a gyro but not this 1. It is the best and lots of other foods love this place check them out I guarantee you'll be back at least once a week

Very friendly and delicious food! Their gyros are HUGE and filling. Currently no dine in service but normally yes. Beautiful inside and relaxing music to listen to while they prepare food. Lights are low.
