Great little Irish pub! Tuesday is open mic night for Irish music. About 10 people showed up with everything from fiddles to flutes to a harp. Great times!

I cannot drive 6 hours from Montréal to eat there and come back (!), and say the good isn't good, right ? Menu has completely change since my last visit (2019), and they sort out my favorite meal (Irish stew in a bread bowl), but that's ok, because EVERYTHING is good !

This place is a jewel! Abby was such a great server. She was both knowledgeable about the food and got extremely excited talking about her recommendations. We got the poutine, fish & chips, and a cup of French onion soup. It was all good, but the French onion soup was the best I've eaten anywhere. Additionally, they actually played Irish pub music in an authentic Irish pub atmosphere. Highly recommend!!

True pub atmosphere, good food. A plus is that you are able to sample the different craft beers before deciding which to have. Lots of choices. We had fish and chips and cottage pie, both very good. My husband asked for some bread or rolls to go with his cottage pie but all they had was oysterette crackers, which was a bit disappointing. We shared a wonderful dessert! Service was excellent! We would have liked to have been seated outside but those tables were all taken. Inside was very comfortable.

Disappointed. I Got bangers and mash. They came out fast. Too fast. Everything on the plate was cold. Good flavors, but cold. Greenbeans were raw and cold. Crisp is good, but these were raw or nearly raw. Bangers were charred, yet still cold. Cooked beforehand. Should have gotten the corned beef. I didn't complain as the place was a bit busy and I was hungry and in a hurry. Beer was a little overpriced, but the food was reasonable.

Patty Murphy's Pub is a hidden gem that effortlessly marries the charm of a traditional Irish pub with the allure of exceptional, home-crafted beverages and distinctive snacks. A standout experience for visitors is undoubtedly their amazing home cider. This isn't your run-of-the-mill cider; it's a masterful creation that captures the essence of expertly curated apples, resulting in a drink that's both refreshing and complex, with a depth of flavor that's absolutely to die for. It's the kind of drink that not only quenches your thirst but also leaves a lasting impression, making you yearn for just one more sip. But what truly sets Patty Murphy's apart is their iconic gigantic pretzel. This isn't just any pretzel; it's an epicurean marvel that redefines what you thought possible in the world of baked dough. Its sheer size is a spectacle in itself, but it's the taste and texture that steal the show. Perfectly baked to achieve a golden crust while maintaining a soft, chewy interior, it's a pretzel that elevates the humble snack to new heights. Paired with their signature dipping sauces, each bite is a delightful journey through flavors and sensations. The atmosphere at Patty Murphy's adds another layer to the experience. Stepping into the pub, you're greeted by an ambiance that's both cozy and vibrant, a place where the troubles of the outside world seem to melt away as you're immersed in good cheer and the camaraderie of fellow patrons. In conclusion, Patty Murphy's Pub is more than just a place to grab a drink; it's a sanctuary for those who appreciate the finer things in life, like a cider that dances on your palate and a pretzel that's nothing short of legendary. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to make their night out a memorable one.

three strikes - ordered takeout three different times.. tried five things on the menu... HARD pass. chicken tenders are actually chicken cutlets and are mediocre at best.. onion rings were overcooked.. then, tried the mac and cheese - safe, right? WRONG! whole cloves of garlic and absolutely disgusting! next time it was the bowl of french onion soup (a four ounce bowl, by the way) with a poor excuse for a slice of bread (not even toasted) on the side rather than actual croutons in the soup.. the bread had a thick layer of not even melted swiss cheese (isn't it supposed to be Gruyere?) .. the broth tasted like straight up beer.. onions not cooked nearly long enough or sliced correctly.. so gross! and the fried cheese curds were a sore disappointment as well.. the "marinara" that they come with needs to be eaten with a fork and just isn't good at all.. save your money or go to Geaghan's if you're set on an Irish spot. Never again..

The only negative thing about this fine establishment is location. Parking on the street is very limited, we had to park in the public garage around the block. The city of Bangor must know this isn't a great situation because the first 2 hours in the garage is free. Especially during the colder months and other times of inclement weather. The menu offers so many options you will definitely not be disappointed. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. I'll definitely come back, in the warmer months.

Just had an outstanding lunch. Atmosphere was that of a traditional Irish pub from the moment you open the front door, the hardware of the door itself is gorgeous!! The wooden tables/booths, the floors, music and bar all on point. I had the soup of the day, Butternut Squash, delicious, hearty and flavorful, perfect for a crisp fall day. For my entree, I had the Bangers served with "champ" mashed potatoes, sauteed sauerkraut with diced apples and bacon and vegetables of the day, which was green beans. EVERY SINGLE BITE was delicious!!! Sweet, salty, savory. Comfort food at its best. My father and husband had the steak and cheese sandwich and the Guinees Beef Stew, both also so flavorful and delicious. The Guinness and Local Nonesure Red Ale were crisp and tasty. Cheers to the entire staff for the service and properly prepared food. Without a doubt, we will be back and I encourage anyone passing through or new to the area to stop in and enjoy as we did!!
