By far the BEST iced latte I’ve had… ever. I wish I lived closer to be able to come back more often. It was a cup of coffee perfection.

We first tried this place over a year ago passing through and it was absolutely amazing! Super sweet staff, smooth strong coffee, and very good pastries. Husband and I are back this week, so we stopped yesterday afternoon and again today we loved it so much! I collect coffee mugs on all of our trips, I bought one the owners husband had made and accidentally broke it awhile back. Attempted to purchase another mug yesterday but they were sadly all sold out. Luckily on our second visit today the owner was in while we were there and she had one mug left in their shop! She ran off to go find it and I was able to purchase another one. Thankful we went back today so I was able to keep my collection going 😂.

Wow! What a sweet spot to stop at. The employees were so kind. Would recommend this coffee shop to everyone!

iced coffee was pretty good, muffins were excellent. Service was excellent. No bathrooms just port a potty.

Great little place nestled in the Smokies. Great for a quick cup of coffee or pastry if you are out in the more mountainous/Sevierville area. Lots of options. Not the most superb coffee, but it hits the spot and the people are great!

This is hands down one of the best coffee spots in the Gatlinburg area, including Townsend. The team was incredibly friendly. I ordered an iced caramel latte, and my wife tried the blackberry vanilla hot latte. Even though she typically doesn't like fruit-flavored coffees, this one became her favorite out of all the places we visited. The latte was at the perfect temperature, the milk foam was smooth and creamy, and there was a perfect balance of espresso, milk, and flavor. We highly recommend this place and will make it a regular stop whenever we visit Gatlinburg.

painted bear is such a cute little coffee spot! the staff was very friendly, the cat honey was adorable and the coffee is great. i will be coming here a few more times before my trip ends! edit - i came back the next day and the coffee is still phenomenal but the young blonde girl at the front was a little rude after mishearing me and made it seem like it was my fault for not in her words “clarifying” iced or hot.

Unexpected gem!! Phenomenal coffee in a character rich environment with very friendly owners. His art is incredible! It’s a must visit when in town and our new Gatlinburg tradition!! Thankful we stopped in!

I actually went here a couple months ago. Service was amazing. The cafe itself was cute and sold local artwork (i'd expect as much for being in the art district). Drinks were great and I believe I got a pastry which was good. Great selection of drinks.

Anytime I’m in the area, this is my one and only coffee shop. The ladies are lovely and the coffee is amazing.

We randomly popped in this place on our way home from the smokies. I had the "signature latte" & my 2 kids got the frozen lemonade mixtures. First off, the staff was incredibly friendly, patient (2 young kids), & helpful. Second, the atmosphere was really neat with a guitar on sight that my son played & cool art work. Lastly, but most importantly the coffee was AMAZING (get the signature latte) & my kids are still talking about the frozen lemonades!!! Love this place!

We are from NH! We drove thru a couple of weeks ago with the family and stopped in ! We ended up going 3 days in a row! We all loved the food, drink and icecream. The avocado toast was the best! I loved the lemonade with coconut! I wish I had asked how they make it. My husband loved the coffee. But most of all they were all so so pleasant! It kept us coming back! If ever we go thru there again we are definitely stopping in for some of everything!!! Thanks to all of you for making us feel so comfortable !!!

I tried the one of the lavender spring drinks and it was so refreshing. There are some local businesses showcased inside as well with soaps, jewelry, and bath bombs. Lots of good coffee and tea options as well as bakery items. The cinnamon roll was delicious!! Also located in the Arts and Crafts community :)

Such a quaint little coffee shop with great coffee, food, and people. The cats were a great bonus and so sweet, we miss them already! If you have a chance to visit, take it.

Danielle and his wife were absolutely amazing and we really enjoyed their hospitality! They have amazing and interesting coffee creations. We visited with our family and everyone loved the coffee and food. We tried their spring special coffee creations, croissants, and muffins and they were the best we ever had. Would highly highly recommend this place!! Can’t wait to be back soon!!

Our Airbnb cabin was right up the hill from this coffee shop. We tried it one morning. Our coffees were fine. Nice staff and we got to see the cat too.

Painted Bear Coffee is an amazing place in the Smoky Mountains Arts & Crafts community. The manager Dawn is a friendly person glowing with kindness. The coffee is brewed fresh to order with plenty of flavor options. I got the iced Carmel late while my boyfriend got a dark chocolate mocha. We’ve been here two years in a row now multiple times during the week. For two large iced coffees only being $14 with tip! It was really a steal for the quality of coffee and for the food there. We bought mugs as well to remember our time there. We cannot wait to come back!

An absolutely lovely stop before hitting the trail! The Dirty Chai was delicious and the pastries looked really good. It was also lovely to meet Honey the Patio Cat. Highly recommend stopping in!

We came here to stay for Vacation and on our last day we found this gem. This coffee shop is amazing. The coffee was delicious probably the best I have ever tasted. The owners are great. The lady barista was super sweet. The calico cat was so sweet. We will definitely come back here.

This coffee shop was wonderful! The manager/barista was such a great tour guide and helped us answer any questions we had about where to go and things we should see on our trip! We were here for 4 days and this place was so great we stopped here everyday before heading out anywhere. I’m a huge cat person and was able to meet one of their cats named Honey, she was so sweet and honestly made my whole trip because of how cute she was! I highly recommend this coffee shop!!

Me and my bestie took a girls trip to gatlinburg and stayed close by this shop so we decided to stop in before a hike to grab some caffeine yesterday! Everyone was sooo friendly, lots of great bakery and coffee options! The owner Alisha (sorry if I spelled that wrong)took time to chat and recommend such a great hiking trail for us and the drinks were great! We came today before leaving back home and loved chatting with the barista (curly blonde hair) and petting honey the cat. Will be back if we are in the area again and highly recommend this super cute little shop!!

A wonderful place to stop and get coffee! The barista was great. There is the sweetest cat named Honey that loves pets. And the coffee and food were delicious. They have a good little selection of pastries and they also have ice cream.

The ONLY shop I know of that customizes any order. Imagination is encouraged while having engaging conversation and not feel like you're rushed. Atmosphere is cozy and inviting. It's the kinda place you get out, stretch, enjoy, look around and deep breathe. Not a quick in and out place. Everything is done with care and mindfulness of the individual order and customer.

I always love getting to visit with old friends! And getting to visit their coffee shop was such a treat!! Beautiful location and even better company!!! And as an extra bonus, the drinks are wonderful!!!!

This is my go-to coffee shop in Gatlinburg. Coffee is exceptional; pastries and muffins are excellent, and you can't beat the friendliness of the people who work there. I'm there so often I think they're going to have to claim me as a tax deduction!

This is a must-stop coffee shop if you are in the Arts and Crafts Community. The owner/baristas are so friendly. Lots of baked goodies and seasonal coffees as well as the classics.

I am an avid coffee lover and when out of town I love trying new spots. This is one of MY FAVORITE places I’ve tried. Over the several days I had blackberry, raspberry, white Mochas, and butter pecan and tiramisu. All were incredible - and the service is awesome and appreciative for your business! Can’t wait to come back next year!

We went on a 3 day vacation to Pigeon Forge and ended up going to the Painted Bear twice! Honestly one of the best coffee shops I’ve ever been too. The owner and worker were the sweetest people, and I love the shop cat, Honey!

The coffee flavors and options here are unique and so tasty. We had the blackberry vanilla latte and it was delicious. They have rocking chairs on the porch to sit and outdoor tables and chairs. It was cozy. The service was extremely friendly and we will be back during our stay. Definitely recommend.

Visited the Painted Bear Coffee Co on a recent trip to the smoky mountains. I was greeted by the friendliest staff, including the owner. They had a diverse, curated selection of local coffee and treats like pastries and noshes. Everything was delicious (especially the cinnamon roll). I really enjoyed browsing the art and other handcrafted gift items displayed around the store. Highly recommend visiting if you're in the area.

This coffee shop is a gem. When I travel I like to try local coffee shops to see what they have to offer. The Painted Bear is definitely worth a stop. We visited twice and wish I had time to stop by again before we left. The lady behind the counter was so kind in helping me decide on a flavor. I went with the pumpkin spice that uses house make sauce made with real pumpkin! We also tried the Tiramisu and Honey Be Mine Latte, both were delicious. We also got tips from the batista on where to find locally carved wood bears in the area. The shop owner also gave us tips on what to do locally.

My family and I visited this coffee shop on our trip to Gatlinburg and what a lovely stop it ended up being! 🥰 So much so, that we went multiple times during our week long stay. Immediately upon walking in, you’re greeted with warm welcomes and smiles. The place is very nicely decorated and feels so cozy and homey. The coffee and baked goods are absolutely delicious, with a yummy selection of seasonal drinks as well. We met Daniel and Alicia, the owners of the shop, who are just so kind and a joy to speak to. They truly enjoy serving their community and anyone who enters their shop and make it a pleasure to stop in for coffee. Definitely will be back next time we find ourselves in the area!! 💖

This is a destination spot! The coffee is crafted to perfection – seriously, their coffee is great, they don't miss. There's plenty of room to sit and sip your coffee, with outside tables and comfy inside chairs. The people are so friendly, you could mistake them for family. 10/10, will definitely come again.

Mountain coffee shops are special with their own uniqueness but this one surpasses any weve ever been too! Aesthetically pleasing to look at, super cool atmosphere and wow the coffee really does something to your pallete! I tried two coffees from the fall menu and was very impressed with both! The artwork displayed in the Cafe is incredible and the staff are such sweet and awesome people to talk to! I will definitely be visiting again!!!

GO HERE NOW!! On Buckhorn Rd in the Arts and Crafts District. Great local coffee, Ice cream, and baked goods. We went twice in one day. Hard to find good coffee on vacation but this place has it.

One of my new favorite coffee shops! The drinks are super good. The Painted Bear latte is one of my favorites, but the fall special caramel apple chai latte is incredible! The lady that normally takes our order is super nice and very friendly. There’s some great outdoor seating and a cat named Honey that’s really sweet and hangs around the area! I will for sure be coming back next time I’m in Gatlinburg.
