I enjoyed what I had but my husband thought that they should have more choices on the food selections

I think the food is your typical Chinese buffet quality. It's never considered good Chinese food. I thought the coconut chicken was fantastic though. My husband's opinion is, "I'd come back. Over all, I like it. My favorite thing teriyaki chicken" The desserts were absolutely terrible though

The food was delicious, with lots of variety, and it is one of the best priced buffets I've ate at in a long time.

Won’t take accountability for them using an order web page saying their pictures are incorrect!!!! So don’t order the picture below because they give you junk that isn’t even close to this!!!!

Food is usually great and service is always good too and wish I could in good conscience give 5 stars. The thing is, I am Greatly disappointed that every time I am there I am reminded of the disrespect that the staff(maybe even owners, I don't know) show to their patrons by always parking in the first two spots. I've seen them coming and going from their grey SUVs so I know whose vehicles they are. I've just never had the nerve I guess to confront them on the fact that anywhere else the owners/workers park in the farthest spots to let their customers use the close ones. Am I the only one who feels this is selfish/disrespectful?

This was our first time eating at Panda Garden (pickup order). Not only did they call to confirm the special order request we asked for online but they were so nice and accommodating. The pickup was fast and the service was super friendly. The food was wonderful and we cannot wait to eat here again. 10/10

Hands down the best Chinese restaurant within a 100 mile radius. If I’m wrong please correct me only after u have been here 1st. If u have not been, you’re missing out!

Was on Christmas Vacation and ate here with my relatives. The place has been around for a long time. I remember it has been around since 2010. First time I have eaten here (but not my folks). Even had some Ice cream ! Enjoyed my time there.

Actually one of the best places I have ever seen in my entire life. Cannot recommend enough.

They weigh the sauce also. Imagen paying 7 dollars a pound for sweet and sour sauce. It's a little scummy and just rubbed me the wrong way. Never had sauce weighed at China buffets before for takeout. Food is ok

Absolutely lovely Chinese buffet restaurant! The food is always delicious and warm, the servers are fast, efficient and very polite. I love the sense of style overall with the stickerbombed walls amongst the comfortable and clean booths and tables. The food is cheap (Me and my grandmother go to eat quite often and it's $20 total for both of us!) Very wide selection with clean and well cooked food. I haven't yet tried out the hibachi but I would love to see how good he is! 10/10 I would sincerely suggest this restaurant to anyone looking for a good Chinese buffet experience. As a side note, I am a huge fan of the rice noodles and Korean Chicken. :)

Never had the buffet, we always order to go and pick it up and it is so worth the drive! Lovely, friendly, wonderful people always there. I get a few meals out of one order, big portions!

Mountain City is a very small, remote town with amazing views and nature, and isn't necessarily known for its Chinese food... Needless to say, I wasn't expecting much. But... Panda Garden is a surprisingly complete Chinese buffet, complete with hibachi bar. One bar has a bunch of different hot foods, another bar has sushi, vegetables, and fruit, but it didn't occur to me that the front bar of raw vegetables is for the custom hibachi--load up your plate with whatever you want and give it to the guy to fry it up for you. And don't miss the ice cream in the back. Staff was attentive and helpful, the cost is average for a full Chinese buffet, and judging by the large number of four wheelers and off-road vehicles coming down from Doe Mountain, it's a great place to stop and have lunch while you explore the trails.

Although this place is small and there isn't much of a selection, the food was delicious.

Great, fresh food. Buffet is not huge but has all the best items. Resturant was well decorated and clean. Service was quick & foods were filled quickly. Far exceeded our expectations.

We went there one night because Subway was closed for cleaning and it was a wonderful surprise. They keep the food fresh on the bar and everything I eat always tastes good. Plus the staff has always been nice to my family. Weve started eating there at least once every 2 weeks. The lo mein and chicken with broccoli is some of the best I've had anywhere.

Was ok , no shrimp and some of the chicken dishes were tough to eat not sure from over cooking or from being on the bar too long . Food variety and selection was very limited and the foods on the bar were mislabeled , for example, the stuffed shrimp label was actually fried broccoli and was so hard I couldn’t eat it Definitely not my favorite Chinese restaurant to eat buffet !

Out of the few options available in Mountain City (that stays open on a regular basis) this is one of the better ones.

Good food. Staff seems to be very nice to customers! Particularly there is a younger server and he is always very polite and quick to bring drinks out when you first go in. Had him for a server a few times now and he’s always that way! This place is a go-to for a quick but filling bite with friends. Hope it sticks around for a long time. Also relatively cheap for all-you-can-eat.

Absolutely enjoyed our first experience! The waiters and waitresses were absolutely respectful, the food was excellent. Every other month after payday, we would go out to eat at the China Buffet in Boone, ever since it closed down we've been looking for another good place to dine on some Asian themed food. Thankfully, this place was our answer. Absolutely enjoyed ourselves, nothing out of place.

Not nearly as good as in the past. Teriki chicken was more fat than chicken. Needs an improvement in quality of the food

Given 3x shots and sadly just going to give up here with getting fresh food. All 3 times have been during lunch hours for higher chance of fresh food - all 3 shots I took a few bites of my tray and then ended up throwing it away. Breaks me because I so badly miss Chinese food as it is one of my favorites! Staff was friendly, and the environment was clean. However food wasn't up to par when tried sadly for me.

This buffet has gone through some changes over the years, but now it’s at the best it’s been. Hot, fresh buffet and Hibachi grill ready to cook to order. Give it a try, you’ll be glad you did.

Food didn’t seem fresh. The egg roll seemed too dark and didn’t feel well after eating. If it’s for small eats, meh it’s ok.

The food is great for a small place, the staff is not friendly at all, been there a few times lately and the staff from the hibachi chef to the waitress won't hardly speak even if u talk to them, even the guy that brings out the food to refill the bar is rude, I know I'm not the only one that feels this way I watched their interactions with other guest , very unfriendly makes for a bad experience. Sorry I do recommend for the food but don't expect a warm greeting

The food is great and they've managed to keep the prices down as much as I can. They have a small hibachi in the shift does really well if you're not careful he will give you the wrong plate though so be mindful of which plate is yours. It's very rare that I see crawfish anywhere but they have it on Sundays.

We drive 45 mins to go eat at panda garden. We enjoy it very much.

The best Chinese food around the tri cities. Just wish the buffet bar was a little bigger so they could bring back some family favorites.

The carry out food is really great! I have not tried the buffet since the new management. If it's anything like the carry out, it should be good.

I absolutely LOVE this place!!! "Will travel for food" definitely sums it up! We live in Meadowview Va. and I have got to eat here ever so often! The addition of the hibachi grill is a major PLUS!....If they could offer anything that I wish I could get, but can't....It would be frog legs and crab legs!!!! I'd move to Mountain City after that!!! lol

Restaurant clean and wait staff attentive. Buffet very good and kept filled. The Hibachi grill was outstanding. The cook that does the Hibachi grill knows how to cook the food the way you want it. Will return to restaurant and recommend it to everyone.

Went today (11/10/2019) Tried buffet on Sunday it's dinner all day $10.85 with drink. The buffet had crawfish, salmon, sushi, fried shrimp. The hibachi grill included beef, chicken, shrimp, crab and assorted veggies very good! Well worth the money. The panda garden is run well, it's clean and food is fresh.

Buffet bar adequately stocked. Usually hot and fresh. Has changed ownership but has maintained consistent food quality. The Hibachi Bar is very good and has a good variety and restaurant is clean. Is a good place to eat reasonably (drink is included in price). recommend to all.
