Got the Volcano Roll without cream cheese and a miso soup. Was super beautiful and delicious! The staff were very kind and the whole dining experience was exceptional.

Tried 3 different types of rolls. Taste was good and fresh. Only thing is wasabi doesn't have the kick to it. Could get some Fred powder wasabi and mix and serve. Ordered the salmon avocado roll and pad siew for takeaway for the kid.

Extremely tasty food with tons of options.

Some of the best drunken noodles I ever had it really had that authentic Thai flavor. Got the sushi as well which was really fresh and flavorful. Staff were really friendly gave me mochi ice cream on them for my birthday.

I ordered pad thai with no peanuts, as I have a serious allergy. The sent me a pad thai covered with peanuts. When I called, they refused to help me in any way. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I could even get through one piece of sushi! This place wasn’t very good and the rolls I bought stayed cooked on the menu and were definitely not cooked! Felt sick 30 minutes later, would not recommend this place…..

I would have liked to continue to eat and order here. However they won’t deliver even though I’m 4 minutes away. Directs me to Uber eats so I can pay more.

Really sweet people, and fantastic food, particularly the noodle and curry dishes. Speed of service was a little clunky, but we have a lovely time whenever we go.

Food is always great here. Super nice atmosphere too especially with the music. The workers were really nice there. We ordered many rolls, and the new “Jupiter Roll” was especially amazing. (second picture) Definitely will be coming back for more! 🍣🍱🔥🔥🍤🎏

My wife and I love to go here for a lunch date. The food is great and the atmosphere is always very Zen and calming. The service is very attentive and prompt. It's one of our go-tos. My one nit would be some of the spicy labels on the menu are not really. Last time my wife got the drunken noodle, we asked very specifically if it's truly spicy and were assured it was. Cue Morgan Freeman voiceover, "the drunken noodle was not, in fact, spicy". The bento boxes are a hit though, as are the other lunch specials.

Enjoyed my dinner there recently. The staff was very friendly. The spider roll and the Norway roll were both very good. I will definitely return to Pandang.

Honestly pissed about my experience. We arrived for dinner expecting it to be somewhat busy however, there were a few empty tables and figured we understood the wait if anything. Nearly after sitting down at approx 730pm, it is now 910pm and no entrees. Appetizers were literally a sushi roll that came out at 815, nearly 30 min to wait for it. Entrees….We kept being told “it’s coming in 5 min” “I’m gonna check for you” and then another server saying “it’s coming out now” and here we go another 30 minutes and nothing. There were literally 4 tables asking for food and we all sat there confused and in disbelief. 2 tables ended up leaving. We heard their complaints. MEANWHILE, a table that walked in 30 min after some of us and sat closest to the front had their entire entree. The excuse? It’s busy….again, with empty tables and literally no water refills, no follow ups, no nothing. meanwhile they are filling orders for everyone at the lobby for Uber and tables waiting. When we decided to leave, the cashier tried making it seem like our order was ready and on its way? How? The servers told us so many different times. There communication was horrible. They also tried to tell me that the couple eating got sushi when it was clearly chicken and rice. I can visibly see their order. We ordered noodles. We waited nearly over an hour for an entire entree and never got to eat. Will never come back here.

I arrived grumpy and hungry. Not only did I leave happy and satisfied I was also a little bit in love. The Pad Thai was *chef's kiss* and the sushi was fresh. They also were able to make the pad thai gluten free and they also had GF soy sauce. I highly recommend that you check them out.

Great Thai and Japanese fusion place Got the green Thai curry, tomyum noodles soup and the yellowtail jalapeno roll. It was all very good, service was great too. Exceeded expectations, hidden gem.

Sushi pizza was tasty, would recommend. Had the crispy chicken 🐔 n rice, pretty tasty for a simple dish. Been coming here for years and and have yet to have any complaints. Check it out if you're in the neighborhood.

Their food is overpriced and overrated. I'm a big Thai food eater, and their food was not good at all. I ordered Basil Spicy rice with chicken. The chicken was like rubber and the portion wasn't enough for the price. The service was horrible. I got up from the table to use the bathroom, an employee stopped and asked where was I going. Like I was doing something wrong. Never again.

One of my favorite restaurants. The food is delicious and the staff and owner is so incredibly kind. I've been going to Pangdang for years and have never had a bad experience. Couldn't rate this place any higher!

All of the food was tasty and fresh. Pineapple, fried rice and shrimp pad Thai are really good. Tom Yan soup is the best hands down. Try the mango tango roll. You won't be sorry.

Amazing!! So many veggie options and everything tastes so good. We left feeling very satisfied. Tempura oreos were a nice surprise and the service is great. Lovely employees :)

I go in for takeout lunch special of spicy tuna or salmon rolls which are terrific! I order them once a week. Highly recommend them.

The food is still good but I feel like the quality has dropped particularly the meat has been rubbery the last few times I ordered. Perhaps they are just focusing more on sushi these days

I found the Panang curry charged at $22 to be disappointingly diluted in flavor, with the chicken seeming inauthentic. Despite the high price of $9, the spring rolls were nothing exceptional, resembling the typical Chinese variety accompanied by duck sauce, rather than the more unique Thai version.

Excellent sushi! The quality is all there. The food is super fresh and simply delicious. The staff is also very kind. Overall 5/5 experience. Truly a hidden gem!

I had avoided going into this restaurant as it looked a bit shoddy from the outside. Ordering takeout however, has been a delight. Sushi is great and arrives in perfect shape. I like the Currys as well. Sooner or later I will venture inside.

Sooooo good and amazing customer service

Kind of a hole-in-the-wall place, probably about 35 seats, food was tasty and fresh, service was very good.

This place always has consistent sushi quality. I have never ate their food and felt gross or got sick after. They have the best spicy crab, other places use lower quality crab and sauce. Pandang is family owned and you always see their kids coming around. They connect really well with the locals in the area and are always warm and welcoming. The parking is extremally difficult, keep in mind.

I've been going here for a few years now and still have yet to be disappointed with the food.

I usually doordash from here a few times per month. Sweet potatoe and Advocado rolls are so good.

Food is super bland lightly flavored. No napkins utensils or sauces in bag.

I’m very sad because a few years ago this place used to be amazing and the food had a ton of flavor and spice. Now the food is literally so bland :/. I’m unsure if they underwent new management but the food is not good anymore. My most recent experience there towards the end we put down tip but the server demanded 20%. There was a couple of us and some tipped over 20% but my one friend who did not, the server singled them out and pointed to the bottom of the receipt saying 20% is minimum. Please do better!!!

I’ve been dining at Pandang since this place opened, food is still tasting good, but portions got smaller, and it seems that they want to save on wasabi and ginger, fits only for one tooth.

So I went here for lunch and I got the curry. Literally the Curry wasn’t even closer to the half way point of my bowl. They say curry is expensive and the can’t do a return.If you want good curry that actually worth the money go to 9 Thai in Newark New Jersey

Solid food, not the absolute best but pretty decent

The food is delicious. I order tofu entrees from the Thai specials since I'm vegetarian. The food never disappoints. It's perfect.

They order General Tso chicken from next door and tried to pass it off as their crispy chicken they are absolutely disgusting. If you don’t have it then cancel the order.

They service was good. They were really nice. However, I ordered Thai basil and it did not taste like Thai basil. It just tasted like fried rice with chicken. There was 3 tiny basil leaves. The rest of the rice was pretty basic and not much flavor which was unfortunate. The habachi order was fine but Thai basil was so bad, I don’t think I will be coming back.

Highly disappointed, I spent $75 for dry food. The fried rice and drunken noodles all severely dry with minimal to no flavor. I had to use a lot of sauce from home to combat the lack of taste. My friend laughed that I paid $75 when we could have went elsewhere for better food for a fraction of the cost.

This place has delicious food & decent prices for lunch specials. The problem is the service. The service is simply not good. When we got there, the waitress rushed us to order. Then, before I had taken the last bite of my food another person that was not the waitress slams the check on our table. I said thank you and she replied with, "Mhmm". Pad thai did not taste fresh or as good as I get at other places. Certainly not worth $16.

Very lovely owners. Establishment is very clean. Atmosphere is peaceful. My friend and I started with some gyoza pork dumplings, followed by the hibachi fried rice. The meal was soooo delectable, delicious and delightful! An experience we didn't want to end. Worth every dollar! Make sure you don't go to the Chinese food place next door🤢, visit them instead 😀You won't be disappointed😌

The Chicken Coconut soup is quite possibly the best Thai coconut soup I have ever tasted. Delicious.

Pretty nice place for a lunch - got myself beef pad Thai there , it came out cooked well. Prices are little steep for the size of the portion (medium size plate is over 11$). On the other hand , selection is huge and take out order were ready in about 10-15 minutes

Too expensive for what it is. The sushi is good although the noodle dishes are subpar. You can get cheaper and better quality sushi and Thai food from other restaurants in the area

Chef Z here again. So I don't quite know how to put this. I was sold at the peanut sauce. Being someone in the industry for over 20 years, it is nearly impossible to find good eats outside of your own kitchen. I was proven wrong. Thanks to pandemic and a broken foot I am forced to try what can be delivered. It's a real Pad Thai....I made alterations to mine...their Pad Thai sauce is on point. Their summer rolls, pretty as ever. Thanks guys for the best meal I've had to outside of my own cooking, in a very long time. Keep up the good work!!!

The Pad Thai was very underwhelming and lacking flavor. It was also somehow burnt. I’d stick to the Japanese portion of the menu.

This sushi location is fresh! Never disappointed so flavorful and the staff is courteous always. If you are in the South Orange area they deliver, if not Door Dash. Its always my go to

The place does an excellent job of contactless delivery. It was very impressive and made me feel very safe. The food was good, however I expected the chicken Katsu to have more of the curry sauce. My ordered the spring rolls, which were tasty but few in number. Overall good, not great

My go to spot.in South Orange. Staff is always nice and food is always great. Will continue to go and advise others to try as well. Have had from sushi, to noodles, hibachi etc.

Decent place. Good variety of sushi, bento boxes, hibachi and some other items. I had the drunken noodles which was a bit gummy and while spiced nicely, was overall not something I would order again. The miso soup was wonderful, the tea was a good Hōjicha that was probably the best part of the meal. The tiger roll looked amazing. The bento boxes were a great deal and tasty.

Fresh food. Great sushi and other options such as hibachi and bento boxes for lunch.

My granddaughter loves Asian foods. We went up to visit during parents weekend and she chose this restaurant as a treat. The service was great, but the food was amazing. So much on a plate! She took home leftovers for the next day. The chicken teriaki was out of this world!

Good service, Fresh tastey food

Order to go here, and picked up a beef Pad See Ew, which is actually pretty good. One of the better balanced versions of the dish that I've ever had. The green curry was disappointing with too many filler bell pepper and onion pieces and not strong curry, though it was spicy.

This restaurant is wonderful. The food and service are terrific. South Orange is lucky to have such a great restaurant. Something for everyone.

Best sushi place in the tri-state!

Just tried this restaurant for the first time today. I was skeptical at first cause I don't remember I have ever tried a Thai slash Japanese restaurant before. Usually the two don't go together. I ordered Pad See Ew with Beef and Shrimp. The quality of the food is not bad. Customer service is friendly and polite. Price is reasonable. Decoration is in my opinion typical of Asian restaurants. The portion is just right. I'll definitely come back to check the Japanese side of this restaurant.

It was Labor Day and we had just arrived in South Orange where we will spend the next week. Looks like lots of choices to eat but not much open on a holiday. This looked good and it was crowded. I ordered the drunken noodles which were tasty and spiced perfectly. Hubby ordered the chicken fried rice which he found to be too soft and soggy and tasteless. It was ok but nothing special. Service was slow.

Pandang has really great food! Everything that we've tasted is fresh and flavorful. I have definitely recommended this location to my friends and family.

We came in for a graduation celebration. My mother in law needs to be in cool areas due to a risk of heat exhaustion. When we asked for a fan they put it the furthest area way from her🤔. The AC was out. Or not on as my nephew found it was completely off. It was truly unbearable to sit there. Most of our party went outside since it was cooler outdoors than inside. It was a shame because the food was really good. I know they tried to make it better with good service. But the AC situation was really a hindrance on our experience here.
