Food is always good and everyone is very nice. Intimate seating and a nice, cozy place to have a nice dinner.

This is a review of the dinner side of this restaurant- there is a breakfast/coffee shop next door that I have enjoyed as well! I wasn't expecting such a great dinner in such a small town! After moving here with my family and newborn we met friends for dinner. While I don't recommend bringing your 3 month old to dinner 😂, We didn't have much of an option Since we didn't know anyone in the area yet to baby sit. The staff here was incredibly accommodating and kind, and I was surprised to find one of the best cocktails I had had in a little while (very important to me since it was my first in about a year!) we had A delicious appetizer before my husband and I had to make a swift exit due to a screaming babe. The restaurant shifted us easily to a to go situation and we ate our delicious meals at home! The flavors were unique, and the quality was excellent.

A wonderful place to share a romantic meal with the one you love. Food was excellent. Great atmosphere. Had a wonderful time.

The music was dreadful. The food was poor, but the young server was a nice guy. The ginger carrot soup was the best part of the meal. The stir-fried noodles with chicken was way too hot (and I like spicy foods). The salad was a small pile of lettuce. The salmon was very well done and dry.

I ate in the coffee house. My meal (egg sandwich) was hot, delicious, well-presented, and it came out quickly. I love the atmosphere: relaxed, quit, friendly, creative. I will return.

Really disappointing-I have eaten here before and it was great. Tonight the restaurant was not half full and we were told without a reservation we had to squeeze in at the bar. It was a long wait for our food and when it arrived, it was cold. The short rib was delicious, the smash burger cold and hard. After asking for mayonnaise and ketchup for a hamburger it arrived way late everything else at the table was eaten. We had two entrées, one glass of wine one diet soda, and the bill was almost $60. The wait staff was friendly, atmosphere was nice, but as I said, very disappointing.

This place is AMAZING. the environment is so cozy and welcoming, the space holds well for multiple small groups/pairs, and the service is wonderful. All food options are delicious, I’ve honestly never been so amazed by cafe food. Their vegetarian options are so good! The coffee and drinks made are good, granted, as a barista, my standards are high.

A wonderful coffee shop adjacent to Pangea, the excellent foodie restaurant in North Bennington. Great for getting writing or computer work done in a friendly, relaxed setting. Also good for meeting up wit friends. Small but satisfactory breakfast and lunch menus and an attentive, warm staff.

Food was delicious, service was great, and the space was cute and cozy. We dined out on the patio, the ambiance was great, the space was beautiful, and the noise level was perfect. There are a handful of tasty crafted non-alcoholic beverages along with an extensive list of creative cocktails, wine, and beer. We enjoyed the Soft Pretzel Bites with Spicy Maple Mustard as an appetizer, and then my partner ordered the Moss Burger, which was also delicious - but both of us agreed the Wild Mushroom Risotto I ordered was superb. Overall, I highly recommend - this is a great date night spot.

We had just arrived in town and found this restaurant on Trip Advisor - were so glad we did! The restaurant was lovely, the waiter was extremely helpful and nice, and the food was delicious! We were so glad we found it!

We have been coming to this restaurant for approximately 10 years. Craving a burger, this was my place. Disappointed as sometimes we visit and they ask how we would like the burger cooked. We ordered our usual and waitress did not ask how we wanted it cooked. It was well done and tasted like a sausage patty. So disappointed. We were just here a couple of weeks ago and burger was better and was asked how we wanted it cooked. They need to be consistent.

Love sitting outside on the patio, drinks were good! I feel I need to go back and try a different menu item next time. I had a burger and it wasn't anything special but I feel I need to give them another shot. My gf loved her hummus platter. I will be back!

Omg if you haven't been to Pangaea its a must go. Fantastic! Everything and I mean everything was perfect.

I had not eaten at Pangea for a few years and was pleasantly surprised to discover all the improvements that have been made. To begin with, the staff was the best I've experienced anywhere in a very long time. We chose a special dinner option offered by Chef Nick called "Around the World" that included a variety of dishes from all over the globe. It was four very creatively planned courses plus dessert. Wine pairing was also offered. I am a Pescatarian and thoroughly enjoyed it. All the wait-staff (including bartender) were smiling and genuinely appeared happy to be there! A huge PLUS in any eatery. Amy, our flight attendant/server, was especially delightful, attentive, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend a stop your next trip to the area!

I took too long to try this North Bennington gem. Everything was welcoming, quality, and comfortable. Food deliciousness! We will be putting this restaurant in our regular dinner rotation. 5 stars all around!

We have been here several times and never disappointed. The food is outstanding. Last week I ordered Lamb Cassoulet and it was perfect. Flavors were just right. Hubby ordered Braised Beef Short ribs and declared them excellent. He also ordered Corn Chowder and thought it was too spicy so I got to finish it. It was perfect for my taste. Best corn chowder I've ever eaten. Prices were reasonable for such quality of food.

My daughter, Fiona, was married at Hildene in Manchester, Vermont on Sept 30, 2022. Our tasting for the wedding was in March 2022 at the Pangaea restaurant in Bennington, Vt. Pangaea is the vendor Hildene uses for the food at the wedding. We were all blown away at how good the food was at the tasting. I asked, are you going to be able to duplicate this for over two hundred people at the wedding? Nick, the owner of Pangaea, confidently said yes. Not only were they able to duplicate it, but they also hit it out of the park. Our guests said, it was the best food that they ever had at a wedding. Thank you to Nick and his team for helping to make my daughter’s wedding so spectacular. We will be heading to Pangaea again in the future for dinner!

Beautiful space, great service and super tasty food! I had the shortrib and it was tender and seasoned perfectly. Also, the strawberry stinger drink was delicious

We recently attended a wedding reception at Pangea/The Lounge and it was exceptional. The service was warm and welcoming and the food was outstanding! We dined al fresco and enjoyed maple-glazed salmon and short ribs. Both to die for. Don't miss this spot in North Bennington!

We have dined at Pangaea in the past and will definitely return! The staff are warm and welcoming. The menu is interesting and varied. The meals are well prepared and nicely presented. The noise level is low so one can have quiet conversation. There's no TV at the bar which is very refreshing plus! The crab cake entree was superb!

Pangaea is a black tie, fine dining affair but without the black tie. Everything from the cocktails thru the entrees to the desserts are carefully crafted, expertly prepared but still have a fun and casual vibe to them. The menu changes seasonally, has a select number of curated choices but lacks any type of theme, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it's a bit strange to see a burrito and nachos next to pasta bolognese. The same limited choice applies to the wine list but, again, the selections available should satisfy most diners. The traditional decor is adorned with artwork on display, and the staff are attentive, inviting and complete the experience.

The hostess and waitress were so kind when we showed up for our reservation only to find that we had no reservation! (Second time that I’ve had problems with Open Table) And I was beside myself with embarrassment and fear we couldn’t be accommodated. They we’re able to seat us right away and the service continued to be excellent. The menu has many choices with very affordable prices. We had the short ribs and chicken piccata. Both were generous amounts and very flavorful. We also sampled two of their desserts-cannolis and the flourless chocolate torte. Absolutely delicious. We could not be happier with our meals and service and will definitely return.

For a small town, claiming that this is fine dining is a stretch however.... A lot of people are ignorant to the fact that there's better food and at this cost in more metropolitan areas it is cheaper and more delicious. It is what it is and this place for what it is is phenomenal.

Cozy, comfortable, great friendly service and wonderful salmon dinner.

From the outside the establishment may not appeal to most but once you’re inside it’s inviting and a wonderful experience. We were seated in the back room which was quaint and cozy. The restaurant staff were wonderful and very attentive and not on the pushy side. The drink menu was full of a variety of choices, one being several non-alcoholic drinks to choose from, very fun! We started with the charcuterie board which had many cheeses and meats to choose from, such a great way to start! I had the stir fry, and when they describe it on the menu as spicy, you better believe it! So good! I finished my meal with the signature chocolate cake, oh boy that hit the spot! I recommend a visit to anyone looking for a great suggestion. Enjoy!

We were in Bennington earlier this month. We ate breakfast at Pangaea 4 times! What I hated about leaving Vermont to return to California was that I wouldn't be going to Pangaea anymore! Absolutely loved the egg, sausage, and cheese breakfast sandwich on Portuguese muffin. And the Cortado coffee was fabulous!

We booked a fine dining restaurant and instead got a high top at a pub. Everything else was average. "Martini" drink was served in a wine glass which was really hilarious

Delicious meals, fun and entertaining cocktails!

Service was amazing though. They were very nice and the staff was very hospitable and attentive. Food was bland. We ordered Linguini with Meatballs. The meatball was overcooked. The pasta was decent. The salmon was also decent however the rice was bland and unseasoned. Everything else was not up to par. We ordered Spicy Thai Noodles which was also bland and the shrimp tasted a bit off. Nachos were good but the cheese sauce tasted like there was a lot of flour in it. The fries were good. Cocktails and drinks were good too.

We dined last night on the deck in the back. It was just perfect -- the service, the food, the ambience! We had enjoyed a meal in your dining room several years ago and I was unaware of the outdoor deck and attractive tables in the back complemented by the bucolic scenery. Just wonderful. I enjoyed Thai chicken stri-fry and Constant Companion enjoyed the Thai shrimp stir-fr Delicious Terrific Cannolis for dessert. We'll be back soon!

We recently catered our daughter’s birthday from Pangaea and were beyond impressed. The crab cakes and chicken and waffle skewers were amazing! The Caprese Salad was refreshing and the cheddar and ale soup warmed us on a cool night. Following that with Filet Mignon was simply perfect. To end the night with their Chocolate ganache cake could not have been sweeter. This is a restaurant that must not be missed on your next trip to Bennington.

Pangaea offers a wonderful option to bring fine dining home. We miss going to restaurants, however the Pangaea "take away" menu is a fine alternative. The food is well prepared and delicious. The menu changes periodically. Our Pangaea dinners brought home was a cause to celebrate.

Delicious, fresh food that you haven't seen on every worn-out menu for the last 30 years. A lovely dining experience. Among other things, I had a salad as an appetizer. I have never had a dressing like that! It was so good, I still think about it. A pricey dinner, but worth it. This is fine food.

Very impressed with this little gem in North Bennington. Very comfortable, low noise level, nice and cozy without being pretentious. I started with the Kale salad which was delicious and only $10--extremely reasonable for the quality of ingredients. My husband and I both had the Diver Scallops and we both loved every bite. Best sorbet I have ever had. Such a wonderful night out. We will be back

Dining at Pangaea is a wonderful experience. The restaurant is small with a low noise level that allows for conversation. The meals are exceptional and beautifully presented. The wine list is very good. Pangaea is the best restaurant option in the Bennington/Southern Vermont area. Original art work on the walls adds to the lovely ambiance.

Fine dining in Bennington! Lovely dining room in historic building. Very small menu, perhaps five appetizers and five entrees. Roasted quail and rabbit terrine appetizers were superb. Veal loin and duck breast entrees equally impressive. Professional yet warm service. Signature chocolate cake was outrageously good. Highly recommend!

The veggie burgers are huge 2 patties home made. Fries are some of the best I have had. They have some vegan options but are vary acomaditing to your food needs. Will make it vegan or vegetarian if they can. Drinks are great. Also a huge list of scotch bourbons ect. If you can think of it they have it

We had an outstanding dinner. This place is now on our list of 'musts' whenever we're in the area. Appetizers, breads, cocktails, entrées, and service were all exceptional!

Delicious meal. I made the best choices of our group. Fig and ricotta ravioli and veggie "strudel" (think lasagna made with puff pastry) were fabulous. Setting is quaint old building on tiny square in old town. Pleasant young servers were very helpful. Excellent cocktails as well. I would happily return to this place.

SET ON A MODEST CLASSIC CIVIC SQUARE, like so many others in New England, Pangaea occupies an old building but serves a small menu of meals resolutely 21st century. Flavors have American, European and Asian roots and the sides complement the proteins. The service was charming and efficient.

We loved the place, the food and the service. We had a boar filled pastry and the lamb rack which were both delicious and fresh! The staff was great and the chef also gave us some treats (tomato soup, Vietnamese salad roll, cheese topped with jam). Absolutely recommended!

The best fine dining experience in Vermont.

Food and service were very good. I had the salmon with coconut rice, which I thought was excellent and my husband had the halibut, good but fish a little too dry he said. The inside atmosphere is attractive, however the front door area is shabby looking in general...windows and front door were dirty and curtains need replacing.

There are two restaurants at this location, the original restaurant established many years ago is for “Fine Dining” and next door is the “Lounge”. We used to frequent this establishment fairly often but have not been back until recently to try the fine dining section....

My husband and I were in North Bennington and he had never been to the lounge section of the restaurant. We were both so satisfied with our selections. For a Monday night it was wonderful to see the place hopping! The staff was so accommodating...

I ate in the pub area and had a delicious steak. It took ten minutes to order a beverage and then ten more to get the beverage. After ordering, we sat for 55 minutes waiting for dinner. While waiting we asked if they gave bread....
