Great "Godfather" sub. Perfect. Friendly staff. Bench to sit on to wait no tables so we got it to go. Slice of pepperoni pizza was good. Big slice and hot

I'll be back every week if this heat keeps up. Roast beef with Swiss, heavy pickles, no mayo, all the veggies and homemade pepper relish. Get one from gambinos.

Pizza was awesome. Plenty of cheese and toppings. Loved the bread sticks however my partner didn't care for them.

Don't get more than two toppings because the pizza don't taste right if u do.. some reason the pizzas with alot of toppings taste very bland

The FOOD WAS DELICIOUS, THE SERVICE WAS TOP NOTCH VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL, AND THE ATMOSPHERE WAS VERY WELCOMING, THEY MADE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU BELONGED AND FAMILY ATMOSPHERE WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO STOP BY AND PICK UP SOME FOOD, I DON'T THINK YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED AT ALL

I was looking for a pizza joint for dine in. Not this place. But I ordered me a pizza. I travel the country for work. I just finished a trip from Milwaukee, wi to San Diego, CA. Then came to Bangor from there. After not eating real food for a few days (6), it was time to try a new pizza joint. I got a pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, garlic pizza. It was decent. It's the only pizza I've had in this area, so I can't compare it to local. But on the scale I can compare it to, it's a little above average. It's not like Pizzeria Uno in chicago, where I will drive for 2 hrs for pizza and go back home. It's also not like 5 star pizza in Michigan, where I won't step foot back in the that place again. This pizza is at least worth the try. I also got the godfather sandwich, but that's for a little later.

Disgusting, mushy pizza. Honestly. The worst I've ever had! I recently moved back to Maine after living here for 51 years. Never had it. Everyone said it's a must try. It's NASTY!!! Soggy. Floppy. Just plain gross pizza. Please close and go away so that no one ever has to east that vomit worthy mess again. Please. Have some decency. Tri City and Pats have the publics back. Even a nasty Tony's frozen is better.

The pizza is fine. I can make pizza just a good at home though. As it happens I should have made it at home because it wouldn't have cost me so much. I ordered 3 medium one topping pizzas. I was, mistakenly, under the impression their prices were on par with dominoes $7 pizzas. I was wrong. It cost $45 for those 3 pizzas. Four years ago a medium pizza was bigger than what I received and cost much less. I WILL NOT be ordering from Gambino again.

My family wants Papa Gambino's once a month. We have been around in life for a long time and believe me, their pizza is the best!!!!

Just called for delivery from State Street. They do not deliver any more, as of 7/1/2023......

The food here is good, solidly good, every time. The service is surprisingly good for a small take-out pizza joint. I'm impressed that my husband and I can still have a decent meal for just about twenty bucks. In this day and age, after the prices have sky-rocketed everywhere, getting a good meal for two for $20 is not easy to do. Keep up the good work!

My go-to place for a delicious steak and cheese sandwich.

Gluten free pizza was good, and the sub was a good size. Lady at the corner was nice and helpful.

So I gave it 3 stars for service for a couple of reasons. I ordered a small meatball sub and got a large instead. I wanted it toasted and it was maybe warmed but not toasted, and I don't think a small sub and soda and a bag of chips should cost $15. I ate better a Ruby's for 5 dollars more.

Please, please, don’t stop delivery . Your food is so good. And so many of us are either disabled or unable to get out of our homes. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤞🏼🍀🤞🏼

Call order in went to get it,15 minutes later, they forgot to make it, and the bread sticks and sauce needs alot of improvement,

Good pizza, skip the breadsticks. The Godfather is an average sandwich.

UPDATE: See my recently posted burned Papa's Pepperoni Cheese Sticks. Not what it used to be. Stars stay because once upon a time they deserved them. Can't take that away... ABSOLUTELY SUPERIOR! The staff always provides me with the best service. Regardless of the time of day, it can be the thick of lunch rush or slightly after when things quiet down a bit, I always am treated like a valued customer! The food is always fresh and delicious, put together well and delivered with utmost care. The one time my order was not correct in the past YEAR I called and the manager Ben, first apologized for my order not being correct and promptly had the correct version delivered quickly. I will always choose my local store over national chains because of the reasons listed above. They APPRECIATE their customers and it shows by the work they do and quality of the food they deliver! Thank you to the crew at Papa G's, I appreciate all you do!

Superb! Best subs in town, made with fresh oven baked sub rolls. Steakbomb is good. Combo pizza is excellent. Ham and cheese sticks very good. Excellent salads as well. This place is a gem. Staff is hard working ready to serve.

The one on State Street is the BEST!!! Always had good service on Hammond St also, called to place an order 1 day and the girl was so messed up you couldn't understand her, so told her I was all set and have gone to State St since!! Best pizza & subs in my opinion, love the flavoring of LG pizza crust, and sub rolls are delish as well♡♡♡

Arrived in Bangor after flying all day with no food on the airplanes. We looked for a place near the Bangor Airport, and this one came up. We were very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Especially since we arrived shortly before closing!

This place has been around for years and the building shows it! Don't let that deter you though. The food is delicious, both sandwiches and pizzas.

The pizza here is always good. The crust is crisp and delicious. Different toppings, all very tasty. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice place to order from. Deliver as well as take out.

The ONLY thing I will miss about Bangor, ME will be this place it’s food. THANK YOU GUYS!!! You keep me alive by keeping me fed on assignment from NOV- FEB. The only good food in Bangor. Tried pretty much everything w/o tomatoes and it was GREAT. Even ordered my last night because I was going their food- it’s that great. Delivered to me in snow, in rain, and when it was a busy night. And it wasn’t a long wait time- normally quicker than than the time given. Food ALWAYS fresh and/warm. Great price. Huge portions. Can’t sing their praises enough. Even healthy for when I wanted healthy.

I've gone to Papa Gambino's many times over the last few years. To be honest they have slipped a bit in last year or so. It depends on who is cooking. We went twice in one week first time was excellent no complaints a few days after on same items they was just soso and wasn't that great. The building itself is in major needing to have a face lift. Nothing has been done to it in years. They have potential to be great again. Time will tell. I will try again but not giving many more chances.

Ordered two of the $14.99 XL 3-topping pizzas for a family of 5. Pizza was pretty good. I would have like a thicker crust, but the real bacon AND sausage on the pizza was impressive. Price was reasonable and the delivery time was reasonable. I would eat this again. :)

We got two different pizza both very good. The kids loved it. Gave us plates and napkins because we were at a hotel didn’t have any. Would definitely eat there again!

We travelled again to BAngor in Aug 2017 for a shopping trip and had to try Papa Gambinos again to see if the pizza would match the one we had a year earlier. Well, they past the test and the quality and taste is still exceptional in our opinion..one of the best pizza we have eaten. You must give it a try ! Highly recommend.

Good pizza, even better reheated as leftovers the next day. I really liked the pizza but they do cook it so the pizza crust is crispy which I know all people don't like. I did ( which I usually don't). I plan on trying to order from there again.

I've lived in the Bangor area for a couple of years and had never tried this place. I've heard about it, but I've always gone with the chains. I decided to change it up a bit and placed an order, and WOW was I impressed. The food only took about 30 minutes to arrive, which is a definite plus in my book. The delivery driver was very friendly as well. The food smelled so delicious and tasted just as good. I ordered a small Hawaiian and a side of their cheese sticks. Hands down, some of the best pizza and cheese sticks I've ever had. The cheese sticks were so overfilled, it was a jump for joy. You really do get your money's worth. The pizza was cooked to perfection. It had just the right amount of crunch, and the perfect amount of softness that I look for in a pizza dough. The toppings tasted extremely fresh and didn't have that "imitation" or "fake" flavor. The prices are very competitive too! For what I got, I paid about 20 bucks tip included. This is now my go to pizza place here in town. Definitely worth giving them a try!!

After nine years of doing business with this restaurant, I'm appalled by the customer service. My order was written down wrong. When the delivery person came and left I noticed one sub was cold. The other was loaded with red pepper sauce. It tasted terrible. I was so upset that I threw the sub in the trash. I called the shift manager and told him what was wrong. He told me the only way to replace my sub was to go in the trash and send him back the sub. I told him thay it was covered in coffee grinds and so much more trash. I told him it was a health concern to send my trash back to him. Long story short they refused to resend a correctly made sub unless I sent back the one in the garbage which was very nasty. I will never recommend them to anyone.

I'm not quite sure why this is classed as a restaurant as it has no eat-in facilities, though possibly other branches of Gambino's do. It's strictly takeout My husband isn't a big pizza fan (at least pizza as a main meal), but I am. When I do get to order a pizza, it's always from Gambino's--excellent crust, generous toppings, nice amounts of sauce and cheese. Cost is very reasonable for the area. What we mainly get from Gambino's is their sandwiches. They are big enough that one is usually enough for both of us to share for lunch. I will say, however, that the amount of veggies is not always consistent, and seems to depend on who's making the sandwich. Onions are sometimes overly generous and are cut in quite large pieces; I generally ask for very light onions and extra tomato and peppers. One thing that's especially good is the quality of their bread and pizza dough, which is made in-house, and the fact that you can have sandwiches on wheat bread. They have gluten free pizza dough as well.

Gambino's has been a staple in Bangor since I was a kid, and they have always been a solid performer. Great selection of subs and pizza, try the Godfather if you want a sandwich that will satisfy your hunger for a day or two. They deliver and are very quick. I have never had a complaint about the food or the service.

There was nothing wrong with the food, it was warm and OK. But that's all, just OK. I'll stick to Angelo's when I make my trips to Bangor.

We ordered a pizza from here after a recommendation from the staff at the Hampton Inn. We were not disappointed. This is easily the best pizza in Bangor.
