We’ve been coming here for years— I love dining locally, and this hidden gem is the perfect spot! The food is very consistent, and so many items I’ve tried here have been better than anywhere else. We always end up coming close to closing time, when the restaurant is usually empty. But they never rush us or make us feel unwelcome. We’ve tried to come during the day a few times, but service tends to a little slower (the last time we waited for 40 minutes for someone to take our order, had to ask someone, and then an additional 8 minutes for someone to come by. And there are at max 12 tables in the restaurant, and usually always two servers.) So I feel like it’s better to just take the hit and tip very well to come at a slower/inconvenient time. As a server, I can understand why Americans feel the servers here are rude. It’s unfortunately just a culture difference in the way they speak. But people who love the eclectic feel of the restaurant love it because it does not cater to American standards. So I don’t think it’s something they need to change.

Went last night finally after being highly recommended. I had the haddock francese over angel hair and my husband had a beautiful salad with a good size piece of salmon. Delicious and great service . Definitely go back .

When I ate here (dine-in), service is decent because they want a good tip. When I get takeout, they're rude and somethings always wrong with my order... the food is mediocre- not good enough for me to be upset when I stopped eating here.

We typically come here on Saturdays ..We sit at the bar and Kelvin is the best bartender around !! I ordered the special Pork Ossobuco slow cooked Pork Shank, over Rosotto in a delicious vegetable sauce ..my hubbie got Maple Glazed Pork Chop with mashed and veggies ..he cleaned the plate …you should come and check it out ..great staff and atmosphere , of course the food is amazing !!

Just went for the first time. Food was excellent. Came out fast and hot. Big menu lots to choose from. Waitstaff was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be going back.

Had dinner there last night. Parking very limited, had to park at the bike shop. The restaurant is small, eclectic. Food was reasonable for the markup that they charge on it. Waiter however from the start was really rude and dismissive. I was afraid to even joke with him. Made it very uncomfortable thru out the dinner. He acted like it was beneath him to serve on us. I left a 10% tip which he didn’t deserve. Later I found out he is one of the partners that own that restaurant. Little advice from us humble beings, you will lose many customers with your attitude. People work hard and would like to have a pleasant experience while dining out. Whatever chip you have on your shoulder, leave it at home. Will not recommend or go there again.

Had a great time with family 22 of us got together ordered whole variety. One table was NOT happy with their order. 3 orders at my table came very late while the others at my table were pleasantly eating. Service wasn't impressive. Could of been the new guy but why place him at a large group order of 22? Lots of delays, lot of disappointed family. May try again in several months with 2 people to give them another chance. My food was great 👍

I've been before and I've enjoyed it. I had a large group for my birthday and it was horrible. We called ahead and if they were unable to accommodate they should of said that. The food came out sporadically amongst the tables. Some of my party received their food right before we were leaving. They had to take it to go. Some of the dishes were undercooked, Sent back and came back very overcooked. The porkchop dinners were salty and hard to chew. Then after the long wait for the food the manager asked when were we leaving because they need our tables. Very disappointed.

A jewel of Attleboro. My husband and I love going here. The food is fresh and delicious. We feel welcomed every visit and highly recommend you experience it for yourself. A great night out for dinner and drinks.

It's still the best place in the area to get something different. Highly recommend mofongo.

Went tonight for a family dinner. We where a party of 15. Very disappointed that we got our dinner two at a time, by the time I got mine everyone else was done with there's. A guy name Francisco came to our table and made a big deal about one of our family members leaving early and that they charge $150 if we are less than 15 to use the room we where put on. Mind you the place is so small you could not fit a table of 15 anywhere else for that matter. We spend over $500 on less than 2 hour period and this guy Francisco was so rude and uninviting infront of everyone. Too bad cause this was my first time here and it will be my last. If I could give a ZERO I would.

The ownership is very rude and uninviding. They don't know how to run a restaurant. Kitchen serves 2 plates at a time so if you have a large party like we did tonight, you won't have your dinner at the same time. Francisco needs to take a course on customer service and have a better presentable appearance and demeanor. Food was mediocre for the price.

This is the best restaurant in Attleboro hands down. The food is amazing and the people are even better!

Excellent service and food!! Our favorite place!

Walking in was initially confusing with two doors upon entering but self explanatory which is correct. The host booth was small and could easily been walked by. The paintings and bar were nice with a tv. The bathrooms were single person and big and smelled nice. Our server Erika was nice and upon the second visit to the table she let us know she spoke Spanish, which with the cuisine served is to be expected. But this was ideal for my dining partner. We had their fried plantains for appetizer and they were not what we expected at all. They were not bad but they were whole shaved plantain slices fried and served with mayo ketchup sorry i didnt take a photo of that. Bread was brought to the table after the appetizer and it was mediocre. We had mofongo relleno with chicken for our entree and it was surprisingly delicious. The texture was soft similar to a thick oatmeal, the sweetness mixed with the savory and they had an interesting twist by filling the mofongo with peppers and onions. We had the coconut flan for dessert and i have to say we could not taste the coconut at all but the flan itself was very good, authentic and legit. The atmosphere was more of a bar although that was its own section it didnt feel kid friendly so to speak. Overall i thoroughly enjoyed their menu physically they were beautiful and pleasant to look at but their take on worldwide cuisine was refreshing. The price for the mofongo and appetizer was reasonable for the quality. 4 stars!

Delicious food. Tables are nice and spaced out. Food was nice and hot, perfect portions with great prices. All of the sauces were awesome and I want more!!

Hair on tables. Menus are dirty. Premium prices for frozen food. Burger had no flavor. (Frozen) Shrimp Mozambique was bland. (Frozen) Rice was clumpy. Overall, the food was absolutely disgusting. DO BETTER! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

There are too many things on the menu. Like someone else said, "Jack of all trades master of none!" Had chicken marsala tasted more like a brown sauce than a marsala sauce. My wife had the stir fry the gravy looked the same as my sauce but had some teriyaki sauce in it! My chicken was also a little tough to cut and chew. Might try them again, just not for italian. Many other things to choose from.

Small, clean restaurant that isn't cramped and has a modern vibe. Menu features food from everywhere; American, Italian, Salvadoran styles to name a few. Food was very good, and portions were perfect for one meal. Price was reasonable. Parking lot isn't huge, but looks like it can handle the traffic there. Waiter was not exactly warm but was attentive and did his job without making us feel neglected.

This is one of the best most underrated restaurants you will ever go to. Everything they make, tastes fenomenal AND IT IS CONSISTENT. All the servers and employees are so kind. If you are into Latin food or sea food, GO HERE I CANNOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH!!!

I brought my aunt and uncle to celebrate mother's day and his birthday. At 1st the waitress seemed like a gistapo and eventually loosened up. I was very impressed with the food as it is fresh and made to order. Was not a Wow! Experience as I felt like wanting an app for a meal was not liked by the server and she did not hide her feelings. I give service a 2 out of 5 stars. Service with a smile.

The waiter with the tattoos at Papa Gallos was rude. He was probably having a bad day but he didn't need to transfer that nasty attitude to my dining experiene. BTW I am tatted myself.

Fantastic restaurant. Went there for the first time tonight and the food was just terrific from the appetizer to the meal and even the desert. I definitely recommend the calamari and the Portuguese steak. But everything was wonderful. Home made tres lete cake was great and the service was awesome. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Probably one of the best restaurants in the area. Will definitely go again.

In an unlikely location in a strip mall. We enjoyed fried zuccini blossoms and taco soup as appetizers. Fajita salad ebtree and a mixed grill fajita entree. Churros with ice cream for dessert . Service excellent. Food was very good with nice presentation . Reasonable prices. Menu thoughtfully done. It can be a bit noisy (small restaurant) , patking can be tricky , but I recommend this restaurant .

Very delicious and flavorful food! I love the Pollo Asado and the steak dishes. Everything tastes very fresh. The mixed drinks are so good especially the Sangria. Everyone is very nice there as well.

Best mofongo ever! Makes me feel like home

We went here for lunch on a Friday and it was pretty empty, however once we sat down people started filtering in. We got our food pretty quickly. There are a lot of menu items to choose from, which took me a while to pick from. We all got something different and had no complaints. The service was good, our waiter was helpful and attentive. Definitely a hidden gem, I’ve passed by this place for a while and never noticed it.

good food, but horrible service! The waitress and owner in this location needs to learn more ethics and learn to be polite!....learn to smile more and stop being so darn rude!!! We were a party of 10, placed our reservation online and got there10 minutes before. Once we arrived the host asked us if we had a reservation and I showed him the email confirmation. The owner came to him and told him if they don’t have a reservation we can’t help them. Once they finally got our tables ready, the waitress started taking orders, never smile, never offered the different options you can have with the plate you order and not once came to ask if we needed anything else. My daughter order a plate that came with different types of beans and waitress didn’t even let my daughter know that the beans that came with that plate were cold. When she requested another dish the waitress once again with a pitbull face just turned around and called the owner, and let me tell you he is something else. He even dare to tell us that only latinos complaint in his restaurant!!! Daaahhhh we latinos know our food, our service and specially how to treat others!!! He was not only racist but his attitude and disrespectful way of treating the customers is enough TO NOT RETURN!!!

Wao! How to start!… since the beginning the waitress was being very rude! Every time we try to request something to her she didn’t even let you finish with the request when she was already waking away! She constantly take plates out of our way without asking if we finished, and also didn’t had the ability of taking more than one request… cause she will run away after that! We were a crew of 9 people and we all agree that the customer service was really bad. After that my daughter ask for something different cause she didn’t like her main dish and the waitress went to look for the owner of the restaurant who also came with an even worst attitude than the waitress! He was DEMANDING her to tell him why she didn’t like the food!?… really!? He was really rude to my daughter in front of me and hole family. Of course everybody was really uncomfortable with his even worst attitude, he got to the point of raising his voice to me when I told him that his customer service was really bad! He dared to say that only “latinos” are the ones that have complained about his food!… but isn’t this a “latino” food restaurant?… maybe latinos complaint cause latinos know their food!, I don’t know.. just saying. It’s sad to me when I had to ask for SALT to put on my mofongo (which is the first time that I had to do that cause it didn’t had no flavor, and I didn’t complaint about that). Everything aside, bad service, lots of bad attitude from the waitress and also the owner. Too bad cause we were looking to have a nice good time, we have never gone through so much on one night on any other restaurant. Definitely not going back. One star because I don’t have the option to put -5 stars. 👎🏼

This is a hybrid Mexican & Italian food, small but nice place with a bar, food was terrific!

Great food, great atmosphere, terrible service. Waiter actually slammed soup and salt/pepper on the table. Waiter then argued about using an Entertainment coupon on our meal. Followed us to parking lot to throw our tip at us. Very sad as we would love to go back but not while he works there.

We've always enjoyed Papagallo every time we've gone. Prompt and friendly service every time. Excellent, decently sized drinks, and great food! My only complaint is that the small space gets extremely loud sometimes and it can be tough to have a conversation.

Wow, can’t praise Papagallo enough. Absolutely fantastic food and service. Rare to do multiple cultural dishes all so well. We had Mexican Fajitas and Nachos, Tuna Tartare, Salvadoran Pupusas. We’ll definitely be back.

Great food, Great Service, Great Restaurant

My husband and I have been hesitating about this place for a while now. A good friend highly recommended it but my husband feared that with soooo many menu options they wouldn’t be good at perfecting a smaller amount of dishes. I hate saying this but he was right. I’ll start with my dish, which was supposed to be a mofongo. It was definitely not authentic. It was a good mangú (mashed green plantains) at best but none of the fried texture a true mofongo has and although the menu said it’d include chicharrones (fried pork skin) it didn’t. The mangú however did include a ton of steak strips that were pretty good. My husband had the fajitas. The beans looked blended and dry and the guacamole was brown like if it had been sitting out for a while before serving it. The chicken however did have good flavor. The tres leches was waaaay too sweet. I never thought I’d say that about tres leches but it was. The layer of merengue was thicker than the cake layer and it was crunchy like it we were chewing sugar. Service was ok. She was nice when she was there but it seemed she was spread thin and it took a while to get my drink and then the check.

Only reason for the 2 star is due to how good the food is. The service however was horrid. The waitress came up to my husband and said “you didn’t include my tip in the bill”. How rude. Drinks were sitting at the bar for ten mins before our waitress even picked them up. We complained to the manager and he just stared at us. Ugh oh well

This place is a hidden gem. Walking in, the smell was wonderful. The meal was prepared fresh, and was delicious. It was clean, nicely decorated and the service was excellent. The menu offered so much variety, it was hard to decide. I cannot wait to go again. It’s about a 40 minute drive for me, but it was well worth the time it took to get there.

The menu at this restaurant has someone to satisfy most anyone's palate as it has a wide variety of cuisines from the Caribbean and Central America to Italy to American and many more. We started with the Fried Plantains along with the Eggplant stack. The stack was just a pile of eggplants that would typically go on a pile of noodles for an Eggplant Parmesan. For dinner, I had the Mofongo Relleno with steak which was okay, but I have had better as this one had corn blended in. My husband had the Fried Shrimp Platter which was average. For dessert, we shared the Tres Leche Cake which was much more cake than the 'tres leche'. All dishes were presented nicely. The flavors of each dish were decent but did not jump on your palate. Decent meal.

Came here with my family and enjoyed everything, from the crispy scallops wrapped in bacon, to the coconut shrimp, and the thres leches to the main dishes below, including the steak mofongo relents which my husband thoroughly enjoyed, everything was delicious and savory. Our server gave me good recommendations, and we will definitely be back.
