First time here and the atmosphere Food and service was phenomenal our waiter tre was awesome for the evening was super made sure we were taken care of at all times

Great food!! First place that I can say everything we ordered was very , very good!! However, service was very slow and never had a waiter argue with us about what we actually ordered versus what he thought he heard. Thank goodness the food is that good to give it another go! Kudos to the chef!!!

One of the best Spanish tapas I’ve ever been to! The staff was very kind, tapas portions, where very decent, food was absolutely delicious, and we happen to be there on their half off tapas Tuesday, which just added to our wonderful experience! This restaurant is two blocks away from the main drag in town, however, it’s totally worth the extra walk, if you enjoy Spanish food, this is the place to go in Delray Beach!

Carlos, our waiter was wonderful. We came here for the first time on a Tuesday. Tapas Tuesday half off. Everything was absolutely delicious! You will not be disappointed. We are local Floridians for the past 30 years. And of all the restaurants we’ve been to this is absolutely top 10.

So Fire! We stopped by on Sunday afternoon and had the Skirt steak chimichurri, spinach croquetas, sautéed Pulpo, and Chorizo al Jerez. Carlos was our amazing server. Thank you.

For a party of 19 they gave us two servers. They crossed orders, brought drinks out late, brought food out late, and when we asked other staff to help the answer was to only speak with the waiter. Worst of all when they ran my card they automatically added 20% gratuity without asking. Will not be returning ever … Shame because the food was good.

I went here with my girlfriend and we had an amazing time! All the tapas are incredible (pork belly is a must) and so fun to mix and share. Such an intimate ambiance and all the staff was extremely attentive and willing to go out of their way to make sure we were have a great time. They recently just started serving churros again, and woah!

My wife and I had lunch here the other day and the food was delicious. She had the Loco and I had the Cuban sandwich. I can’t remember our servers name but he was very friendly and helped us make our choice of meal. I would recommend.

Love this place. The food is always so good. I’ve been here three times now. Staff are very very nice. Prices are fair and I had a bottle of wine one Sunday that was delicious. And I’m picky. 😁

A friend told us about Papa's Tapas. Looking at the menu online it looked like a place we would enjoy. Three of us went there on a Tuesday about 4:00 and only a few other people were there. My mother has a glass of the Classic Red Sangria which she highly recommends. We placed an order for Tortilla Espanola and Sweet Plantains as we looked at the menu. The rest of our order included; Mini Cubanitos, Papas Bravas, Garbanzos Sauteed, Grilled Steak Quesadilla, Chicken Vegetable Soup, Black Beans, Yellow Rice. We did leave with a box of leftovers. The food was amazing. My mother said it was the best Spanish food she ever had. We went back a couple of weeks later with a group of seven. This allowed us to order more items to share. Once again everything was delicious and the service was excellent. Being in a small strip of stores gives it a parking lot which is nice in this area. If this lot is full you can find free parking heading a block or two north. It’s also a .4 mile walk from the Old School Parking Garage which is free until 4PM. A friend told us about Papa's Tapas. Food, service, atmosphere, drinks, everything was so amazing. Everyone is so friendly from the second we walked in and it's a wonderful family owned place. True hidden gem !!!!

An excellent experience at this strip center gem. We enjoyed this much more than the last few over priced yet unimpressive hot spots in town. We had the Parralada platter which was plenty for two. A light coating of olive oil, lime and garlic on roasted potato chunks and grilled Clams, mussles, lobster tail, octopus, calamari, shrimp topped off with a scallop and 2 lamb chops. For desert the pistacio flan was amazing, almost like a cake texture with chopped pistachios in a light honey like syrup. The "sangria mule" was great too.

The "el loco" sandwich was really excellent. Very good service, nice relaxing ambiance. I'll be going back soon to actually try some tapas.

Much to my surprise, this was one of the best meals I had in Delray. The table shared a selection of "small" plates and a pitcher of sangria, all delicious. There was also something for everyone. The only thing is common to all restaurants that serve small plates - no one dish is expensive, but the check adds up quickly. Definiitely go - just keep your eye on the meter.

Food was pretty average, nothing I would come back for but service was good. The hostess and Alejandra were very sweet. And they do know how to make a good Old Fashioned.

Delicious food...we had a good time♡

If you don't visit it you are missing out on a good meal. We love Spanish food and since we come from Miami we know traditional restaurants in South Florida. If you want to try good paella and tapas and you are in the area, this is the place. white and red sangria excellent. the garlic shrimp at their cooking point. The Galician-style octopus has a good balance of oil and paprika. delicious bravas potatoes. The paella marinara had excellent flavor, the rice in a perfect point and a good amount of seafood. one eats two. Side with the sweet Angels plantain. Love it. and finally dessert. We tried the yuca cake with coconut. Yes yuca and coconut cake. Cassava with coconut is more than a cake, a hard pudding, delicious, well balanced flavor. Tried with vanilla ice cream. no regrets at all. a place to visit.

Food is tasty, but some items on menue (including beers) were missing. Very loud inside. If we'd know that we'd take seat outside. Otherwise it was a good experience.

If you’re looking for a tapas place with more authentic menu items then Papa’s Tapas is the place for you! Food/drinks: The sangrias were fine but the best thing was the food because it was truly delicious. We were happy with the plantains wrapped in bacon, Olivia’s cazuelita, the pork belly, and the dulce de leche dessert. The pork belly was fatty and savory! We really enjoyed our food experience and would definitely go back. Atmosphere: The atmosphere was warm and inviting as the staff were super attentive and kind. The place had indoor, outdoor, and bar seating to choose from. Price: The prices here are fairly normal for the prices of restaurants in this location in pineapple grove! Parking: There are very few spots to park in front of the restaurant parking lot. Or there is street parking available in the area and a garage nearby and you have to pay for both when you park.

This is a mixed reactions from the 4 of us. We came to visit our cousins who recently moved to the area. Slow service on a quiet Sunday evening, my wife wanted paella, but it would take 45 minutes to 1 hour. Bread comes out after appetizers and salad. White anchovies and salad good, garlic shrimp so-so. Entrees, mango chicken was ok, pork was good and Skirt steak tough and lacking in flavor. We won't be back.

Went there with group of 12, including a couple of young children. Staff were accommodating and very helpful in providing guidance on the menu to make sure that we had the right quantity for the group. Tapas vary quite a bit in portion size. Also suggested that we order paella early since it is freshly prepared and takes 45 minutes. Everything was great! Especially the paella. Excellent food and service. Good value. Highly recommended

Dined there last night. Food was average. Service needs upgrade as waiter was overworked. Our appetizers served same time as main course.We had issue with wine that was served and instead of making it right the waiter was arguing with us.That is not proper training for an establishment that wants to preserve its good name in the community. Very rare to leave comments like this for our neighborhood restaurants but have no choice in this particular instance.

Booked a reservation through Open Table. Was sat right after checking in. Service was prompt. All the dishes were great and our family of five all sampled different dishes. Would return and highly recommend this place.

Overpriced and terrible food quality in the paella. We got food poisoning!! It was the only mean we had in common all day. Burnt rice, over cooked scallops, calamari and chicken. The peas were frozen and the flavor was not great. We expected the 45 minute to hour wait for fresh from scratch and it came out in less than 30 minutes. One of our two hot tapas was edible but nothing amazing. So disappointed. Drove hours here to celebrate an early Valentine’s, couldn’t make it home without severe symptoms. Currently in my fourth hour of suffering at almost 2am debating an urgent care. The service from staff was kind and helpful. I wish this wasn’t our experience. Will not be returning or recommending to anyone.

Fabulous every time! The paella is definitely worth the wait. Love the gambas al ajillo. I can't understand why this place isn't packed all the time, but I'm happy to keep it my secret. I've been here a few times and everything is always great. Parking in the lot too

Food cooked to perfection and our server Carlos was very courteous and very pleasant. I would recommend it to anyone that wants a taste of Spain .

Love the food at Papa's Tapa's. Started with basic Caesar Salads (party of 4). Then we had the Cabermet Cheese with warm pita pieces and a berry preserves, the steamed Pulpa and an order of bacon wrapped sweet plantains. All very good. We finished with Skirt Steak, Mango Chicken, Karen's mushrooms, and a potato option. Enjoyed a full carafe of the red sangria. Weren't rushed at all. After dinner we headed accross the street for a Whitt's ice cream.

This place was great. Every small plate we ordered was excellent. I highly recommend it. We will return when we are in Delray again.

My girlfriend and I eat here all the time; absolutely fantastic food, atmosphere, and service. Brought my parents here while they were visiting, they were blown away. I would eat Papa’s Tapas every day of the week with no hesitation!

Love this place. My favorite! It's like spending the evening in Madrid.

Out of cocktails, liquor store is literally around the corner… or maybe license but then shouldn’t be on menu. It was good tasting for dinner options although lunch menu on the dinner menu looked so good so wish they had separate menus or served it all for dinner. Empanadas and shrimp ceviche was good. Black beans were like soup.

This was my first time at Papas Tapas but I had heard that it was quite good and I heartily agree. Everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed every dish. We had the pulled pork, spinach croquetas, and mariscada. We ordered extra rice and beans for the five of us and shared. The white sangria was delicious. I will definitely return.

Everything is good here. Personal favorite is the Pollo Quijote. Arroz con Pollo and pork belly also good.

We have been there a couple of times and never wrote a review but this time I had to. Our server Carlos was fantastic all the recommendations that he made where amazing. Very polite and attentive. We had almost everything on the menu and everything came out hot and very great timimg.

Marco is my server. I could not wait.... I am writing this review while dining. Food is fresh and amazing & he is attentive & efficient. I am here with my family & my granddaughter. This is our first time eating here & we will return. ***UPDATE*** Marco was fired two days later. I was actually an employee here...until my first night on the floor. All my tables complimented me to management & tipped an average of 25% I was the last server to leave.... I am also a stand-up comedy artist.... anyway Management scheduled me on the night I was already booked & paid to perform a comedy show.. i canceled my comedy show & chose to work here at Papa's Tapas. While leaving work I was venting "the situation was unfair" or something like that. To the manager's boyfriend & a co-worker. These people told the manager what they thought they heard me say. The manager & owner chased me down the street to interrogate me about what she said, he said that I said... I laughed & assured of them I chose to work over the show & that was final. 10 minutes later I received a text message I was fired for talking behind the managers back. I feel this is unfair, mean, petty & dad. But as a professional comedian I laughed.... Lol. And, naturally I scheduled another performance & this situation will be the topic of my act. Bottom line is the management team is young and immature. Staff is underaged, inexperienced & in recovery & unable to text or deliver beer & wine to the table. I DON'T RECOMMEND EATING HERE. First time here !wanted to try it and if i can give them 10 stars i would...excellent food i felt like i was eating home....great service and friendly staff.....i highly recommend trying this place ..im def a steady customer 👌

I don't review restaurants, but I had to. This is the best meal I have had in 30 years. Sangria, olives, shreded roast pork and ceaser salad. Black beans and rice came with the meal. Nothing left over. Waiter, Marco was awesome.

My mother and I look forward to coming here, every year that we visit Delray. Tonight was everything we anticipated! Delicious food, amazing atmosphere & incredible service. Marco made amazing suggestions and we tried things we hadn't had yet (surprising)...and, of course, they were fabulous! Marco was engaging, kind and a true pleasure to meet. Can't wait until our next annual trip!

We stopped in while visiting from out of town. Our server was very friendly and made good recommendations. The tapas were excellent, and the sangria (red and white) was flavorful. We enjoyed our time and would return.

Great Spanish food with excellent choices on a variety of small dishes. Restaurant is understaffed. Need more hands on the floor. Also the atmosphere could get a bit of a refresher and the sound inside echoes through. Difficult to have a good conversation when it get busy. But the food ? Excellent !

Did papas tapas change ownership?

I am a Spanish native and this place certainly reached the bar! Folks please remember that real tapas eating style consists of plates coming out as they’re fresh from the kitchen, meaning they won’t come all out at once. Great service and nice ambiance

Classy, quaint, and underrated hidden gem in Pineapple Grove. We had the Gambas Al Ajillo (sautéed shrimp and garlic), sautéed octopus, chicken empanadas, plantains, brussels sprouts and Papas Bravas with a bottle of Argentinian Malbec. Definitely recommend ordering a bunch of tapas and sharing with the table, rather than ordering a plate for yourself. This restaurant offered a relaxed atmosphere, opposite of what you typically experience on the Ave, where your server could take a few minutes to chat with you about the menu and you didn’t feel as though they were rushing you through the meal to get your table seated with the next guest. Can’t wait to come back!

Excellent lunch today. Such great flavor. Ordered a wrap that they turned into a bowl for me to be gluten free. It was so good. Have also had their soups. Full of flavor. Highly recommend.

This is a great little spot for tapas. We enjoyed our meal, and the service was good. The menu is somewhat limited for a tapas "joint", but the offerings were terrific. The bacon wrapped bananas were amazing, and the fried Camembert was delicious. We had fun trying several of the items on the menu. But there were "traditional" items I'd like to have had available, like olives. All in all, I can see us going back. While the restaurant is a bit pricy for tapas, it's in keeping with the area, so that's forgivable. Go, Eat. You'll be happy.

Amaze balls regarding the PAELLA, Spinach croquettes, and the service. Sangria wasn’t bad either. At the end of the day the food was on point ! I’ll be back.

I love to support family business and enjoy dining at Papa Tapas. I have been there many times.The sangria is amazing! My biggest issue is I never know when I place my order if it’s going to be overloaded with sodium.That is just my personal feeling.Still a wonderful place to dine.

Papas Tapas is underrated and definitely worth a stop, and not just for the tapas. It's located in a strip mall and a little understated, but don't let that dissuade you. We tried 5 different tapas on our first visit and they were winners. For tapas, the standout was the Sweet Angels - sweet plantains wrapped in bacon and roasted. We had to order the classic shrimp in garlic and ham croquettes, they are yardsticks for tapas and they did not disappoint. Shrimp arrived sizzling with thick slices of garlic oozing their deliciousness into the shrimp and olive oil. Croquettes were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside with great ham flavor. Patatas Bravas sauce was excellent, the only knock is the potatoes could have been more crispy. But here's the kicker. I've been on a hunt for the best cuban sandwich in South Florida and I've tried most of the best rated places. Papa's happens to have a cuban on its lunch menu and mini cubanitos on the tapas menu. So we ordered the mini cubanitos. Hands down the best cuban I've found to date. The roast pork was amazing, the ration of ham to pork to cheese to mustard was perfect, they used the right bread and it was pressed to perfection. Thin, crispy, but not too dry. Definitely going back for lunch!

We ordered the skirt steak, the octopus tapas, the lamb chops, 3 paellas I mean we went all in with our dinner and all food was good in terms of flavor however I will not be returning because I paid over $330 for 5 ppl and the timing of the food was truly awful. The paellas were ordered very much in advance about 1 hr and we were fine with that however the skirt steak came out around 1hr later with lamb chops and we sat there eating while the rest of the table were missing their paellas. By the time we were done with our skirt steak then suddenly the Paellas came out and the whole point is to eat together & it was not that way. In general the server was busy but very apologetic and kind however I paid and wanted to leave right away because I felt ripped off. The price per person was nearly $70 dollars. Not happy at all. Go at your judgement that was my story from Last night. Thanks

Great food, shockingly awful service. The wait staff are overwhelmed due to the small kitchen trying to make food for far too many tables. If you like to sit for 90 minutes to wait for starters that came after the main course (that came at 89 minutes) then this is the place for you.

We have eaten Paella all around including Spain & Sardinia yours is the absolute best.. and has remained our fav for three years now. The staff is par excellence! Thank you fir remembering my birthday & my friends also Camille
