I don’t write a lot of reviews but this place served the best steak, chicken skewers, and salmon I have had in a long time. I ate here twice in two days. Absolutely fantastic restaurant.

The appetizers were delicious, I would order less next time, we didn't have room for my main course. All in all is a great place and the ambiance is fantastic. My son invited me here for my B-day.

Food was incredible, and portions were large. Expensive but definitely got our moneys worth. We sat outside (with the dog) and even though it’s on a busy street the “patio” didn’t feel like it.

Food was good. Not too crowded either.

Great little spot by the pleasant hill BART station. Relatively quiet area, with great outdoor seating. Best empanadas of all the Peruvian restaurants I've been to in California. Crust is soooo flaky and filling is tender. The mushroom empanada is especially good. The skewers were excellent as well. Ceviche is good. Fish is styled in larger chunks almost like poke. Staff is very friendly and attentive.

A bit expensive -$26- for what was a bowl of rice with vegetables and seasonings. But it was tasty and a generous serving of food. The service was good and I didn't wait very long for my takeout.

The food was good. I ordered the grilled fish and veggies. Although the fish was avery tasty and the sauce excellent, the veggies were barely seasoned. Nevertheless, the pairing of veggies used (purple and gold potatoes, purple cauliflower, mushrooms and onions) was lovely. I highly recommend the yucca chips and guacamole as an appetizer--very tasty!!

The staff is awesome! Diego and Juan the bartender are fantastic people. The food is OK. I would give it another chance.

Love this restaurant and the food - always consistent. Server was a bit off her game with a number of items (did not bring a spoon with the milk for tea, did not offer to refill water that was empty, left dirty dishes on table for a long time) - perhaps she was new?

Food was cool but one female waitress acting way too much for her tip. If I’m eating with my husband I don’t feel like being asked a million times if the food is good. Just completely overdoing it she definitely ruined my lunch. It’s almost like she did it on purpose why keep trying to bother someone after you see an upset look on their face.

First time at this place. Wife and I enjoyed our 27th wedding anniversary. Location away from the busy downtown area which was nice. Parking was very accessible. Seated right away, server Tony brought us complimentary Champagne. Cocktails were excellent and the food was very good. Tony checked on us often and was very attentive. The room is a little noisy so don't expect a quiet ambience. Overall experience was positive. We will be back again. Cheers!

Food her is great (at least the lamb shank I had 😁). I was honestly going to skip the onions but after tasting everything together it's worth the food experience. The service for me wasn't good. Didn't get a refill on the water nor did the waitress visit my table to see if I need anything. I really only interacted with her at the start and the end of my meal (waited like 10 minutes to close my check after meal). Overall I recommend going here once. It's a one and done for me.

A true treat, my favorite is the beet salad. Try the Peruvian lager in a bottle.

Service is pretty bad for an average $180 ticket for just 2 people. Tables are sticky, our waiter was clearly not wanting to be there and the food is just overpriced for the flavor/quality. This is actually my third time there, hoping I would get a different experience this time but now I least i feel comfortable rating this place so low. If you are in the area and want a better flavor/service and overall better experience, go to barranco in Lafayette

We were excited to try it. The appetizer was tasty, but small and overpriced. The chicken with aji sauce was a big disappointment. The sauce just tasted like bland yellow mayo. The salmon was delicious, but tiny for the price. The sides that come with the salmon were disappointing. We also ordered a side that was flavorless. Limon food is so much better! We did like the waitstaff--very good service there. However, we are not planning to return.

We've eaten at Parada several times in the past and had a very good experience. This time, it was good, but not outstanding. It was a Friday night, so understandably busy, and very loud in the restaurant, so we (a party of 4) had to keep repeating ourselves. The food was tasty as always, but they didn't bring out one of the dishes we ordered to go with the meal, so we had to request it again and it arrived, though later than preferable. I would definitely go back, but I will pick a different night when the weather is better so we can sit outside and on a night when there is not live music, though it was nice, just added to the noise factor.

Although the servers were nice and attentive, the food was very disappointing. We ordered 3 different plates and they all lacked flavor. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

Service was great, most of the food were good but the tables are very close to each other and not comfortable inside and it was very noisy. Maybe it’s better in the Patio. We still enjoyed it though. I will definitely comeback to try other items from their menu especially the rotisserie chicken.

Sevice was as expected. Service was excellent , all employees are great.

We went to Parada on Valentine’s Day. While the food was delicious we received the incorrect food at first and had to wait for what seemed like forever for our entrees to finally received . My suggestion is to give yourself plenty of time as the service is slow and then very slow if the need to send your order back and get you a new order

Presentation of the food is consistent, very elegant, vibrant, and exquisite! I took my girlfriend out for an early Valantines Day dinner, and it was super special. The waitress came over and added a candle to our table, checked up on us ever so often, and received service with a smile. The only thing I want to address is that the restaurant is small, and it can get a bit too noisy. If having a conversation, it can get muffled because of everyone around.

Excellent food and service. Outdoor seating is subject to sone traffic noise, indoors could use some acoustic deadening (rugs / wall coverings)

Not good: the pescado a lo macho stew had a too creamy and not tasty sauce. You cannot taste seafood flavor in the dish, so it's not worth paying a high price for it. The fried plantains and the lomo saltado were excellent. The cebiche mixto was only OK - again, I expected more freshness from the seafood - it probably would have been better with their homemade chips which we didn't order. The servers were all very friendly, so that was a highlight.

The quality of the staff service and noisy ambiance diminished the dining experience. The food was ok but not worth the cost. I won’t go again, especially when better alternatives in Limon and Lima are not too far away.

We loved this place! We sat outside on the covered patio and listened to a fantastic guitarist while it rained. We were plenty warm under the heater. The pisco sours were fantastic! We had the scallop appetizer, empanadas, and the half rotisserie chicken. Everything was great! I would ask for a sauce besides catchup for the chicken next time. Mushroom empanada was best. The salad dressing (on the chicken side salad) was very tart. It was the only thing I didn’t love.

We greatly enjoyed every bite of every dish! We recommend arriving at off-peak hours or eat outside, as the enthusiastic conversations from nearby tables echo off the walls!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the beautiful preparation...both the ceviche raw fish and the grilled salmon were delicious. PS the chips served with ceviche are house fried yucca chips, fun! Impressed.

So loud could not hear myself talk. Had reservation and ended sitting in a bar stool . Order not correct and nothing done for it .

Based on Jared's recommendation I had the fish special, which was one of the best swordfish dishes I've ever had. Tender with a flavorful but not overpowering sauce. Nice grilled veggies including remarkable mushrooms. Albarino was fine.

I'm Peruvian, and I endorse this restaurant! Of course, if you want the finest of the fine food Perú has to offer, I recommend going to Lima, the restaurant in Todos Santos Plaza, Concord (¡or Lima, the capital of Perú!)

Everyone was super nice. Service was a little slow at first, but then picked up. Flavors in food were great. I got the vegetarian lomo saltado. My comment on the dish is that is should come with a side of beans for the protein and to offer it as a complete meal. Otherwise all was well! Yum

Very good Peruvian food; friendly service, though one item was forgotten till we reminded the server (why must they try to remember the order instead of writing it down???). Indoor area is very noisy with hard surfaces. "Outdoor" seating with heaters allowed us to hear our fellow diners without straining our voices. Good pisco sours. A nice local place.

We have a nice time here to celebrate a birthday. We should ask to sit away from the group next to us and our seat felt a bit too closed to them and tight. Otherwise, we have a good time.

I have always had a great meal at Parada. If you have never been there highly suggest sitting at the counter to watch the meal preparation!

The empanadas are a definite must order. The corn is amazingly delicious the mushroom is next. ill skip the beef and chicken. the fish of the day which was swordfish was really good. ill skip the saltado as it was just okay. i would have ordered another round of empanada instead of that

The food is consistently good here. However my last 2 experiences have been less than stellar with the service. Evidently the manager has cut back on staff as he feels it is not busy enough. We waited 30 minutes for our soft drinks. When our food order was not taken after 40 minutes, I gave our order to the hostess as it was evident that our waitress was overwhelmed with trying to wait all the tables. I would reccomend Parada kitchens but only if you have a LOT of time to wait and are not bothered by very slow service. Sad as I have been frequenting this restaurant for about 13 years!

Very nice Peruvian restaurant in Walnut Creek, California. It is a simple but welcoming setting. The food offerings are delicious and quite authentic.

I believe the one star reviews to be highly incorrect. The portion sizes were perfect and the food is authentic.

Food was delicious! We went on a Friday and they had live music. It was so nice to hear. The service was good, they took a while though to hand us our drinks and food but they did check in on us periodically to see how we were doing. The food was fresh! Made me not mind the wait.

Salmon Bandido was cooked perfectly and was delicious! Purple potatoes were scrumptious. Chicken soup was flavorful with ginger and garlic. Ordered delivery, mixup on order, but Parada made it right. Thank you!!

Wow! What an amazing restaurant! First time here and will go back often! The service was great, our server was so sweet, along with the busboy. Food was delicious!!!!!! Fresh and full of flavor!

We had no been to Parada since before the pandemic, and finally went back to celebrate an anniversary. We sat outdoors, and everything was lovely, from the server (Diana Carolina) to the food. We ordered the beet salad (a little small but very flavorful), the tuna tartare (very yummy), and the wild salmon entree (delicious!). The prices were reasonable. We will definitely return soon!

This is our favorite of the half dozen Peruvian’s around here. You could blindly chose items on the menu and not be disappointed. the ceviches are excellent and varied. Love their empanadas. Lomo Saltado and Chicken stew are wonderful. Perfect Pisciotto sours. only negative is that they are a bit pricier than local competitors, but worth it.

I was so excited to go back to Parada as our last visit was a few years ago. I advocated for this reservation with family members for whom the cost of the meal was a stretch. Our Open Table rese called out "counter seating," and I called (left messages three times) and emailed the restaurant to clarify whether this was bar side-by-side seating for 5 people, or a counter-height table. I was about to cancel our rese since I could not get clarification. On the day of our dinner, someone finally answered the phone. The restaurant advised that they are having trouble with Open Table, which books everything as a counter seat, and confirmed that we had a regular table. When we got there, we had counter seats. I would've disregarded the whole thing - but our food was just OK. My daughter was so excited to order the pork belly skewers, but they were chewy/tough and COLD in the center. Truly ice cold. My Loma Saltado needed seasoning, and the meat was undercooked and chewy. Our waitress was literally too busy to answer questions about the menu or to check on the table - I had to ask the secondary servers to please find her. I know staffing is a terrible challenge at restaurants, but we just had too many problems here to ignore - service and food. It was disappointing to spend so much money to not have a reasonably good experience.

A group of work colleagues and myself, went there for dinner. Having lived in South America for multiple years, I had eaten authentic Peruvian food before. This restaurant took it up a slight notch, with a high end culinary experience but without breaking the bank. I don’t usually like seafood but it was so fresh, I found myself taking multiple bites of everything we ordered (not just seafood but that was deeeelish!). Their pisco sour, was new for my colleagues who originally were turned off by the idea of egg whites in a drink. I assured them, they’d never even realize it’s in there so they took the plunge and LOVED IT. The atmosphere inside, was welcoming and when it got dark, it was warmly lit. Great place and for those who are not adventurous foodies, I highly recommend you just give it a try because you will not be disappointed.

Delicious Peruvian food, I highly recommend you try the king salmon and blue mash potatoes. The seasonings on all the plates were amazing. The empanadas were a nice treat as well.

We had Papa la Huancaina, Aji de Gallina & Pollo a la Brasa. All of it was very tasty, the only issue I had with some of the white meat in the Pollo a la Brasa was a little dry. Other than that everything was delicious, also tried the Piqueos Sour cocktail which was very good. We would definitely come again sometime!

Celebrated a friend's birthday at this Peruvian restaurant. The food was very tasty and the cocktails were innovative. We enjoyed the experience and delicious food.

We hadn’t been here in a while and I’m have no idea why. Fernando was a spectacular server and had great advice on new dishes to try. The pisco sours were on point, the pulpito had a ton of falcon and the lomo Saltado wasn’t overly salty like it is at so many Peruvian restaurants. We will be back soon!

One of our favorite restaurants in the Diablo Valley. This was our second visit and we made a meal out of appetizers and wine and were completely satiated. The tuna ceviche is superb, as were the pork ribs and fried won tons. The mains, which we had on the previous visit, were equally delicious and memorable. Definitely recommend.

We visit the restaurant every other month. We love the food and the impeccable service.

We usually love eating here but on this particular night the door between the restaurant and patio was particularly loud as it kept slamming shut with a loud BANG everytime servers and customers went through it. We were sitting right by the door so it was very disturbing to us during our meal.

The wild salmon was very good as was the creamy purple potato. I especially appreciated the waiter and chef providing an alternative vegetable prepared without onions and garlic which I cannot digest. Very grateful for that!

Love this place. The food, service and vibe are all fantastic! Recently that had a guitarist playing Peruvian Spanish guitar music, so good. Our faves are the ceviche and empanadas, the king salmon is some of the best I’ve had!

One of the worse place I went to eat,,,I order pollo a la brasa , no flavor definitely they don't taste like real pollo a la brasa , the chicken from Costco taste better , ,seriously these place is joke and l order chicha morada , the supost to be purple, looks like kool-aid no flavor and expensive ,,I won't recommend these place to a anyone

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding! This was my first time dining at Parada and I will definitely return with friends!

So the customer service was great, no complaints there. However, the food is a bit pricey in comparison to the unusually small portions. If you know Peruvian food, portions are very generous. I would have no problem paying good money for that, but this is not the case. So I just want to put that out there. Not the Peruvian food I know and am use to.

My daughter walked into this place as a safety meassure the last month of school, while waiting for her bus, she kept telling us and her friends about the food, the staff, the ambiance. Came by to celebrate her graduation, and WOW, we tried empanadas, Pollo a la brasa, Fried Yuca, best chimichurri, If you are into trying good, delicious Peruvian food, this is the place. We forgot to get dessert, and someone told us about their desserts, now, we have a reason to go back. Great service, friendly staff members, nice patio, everything about this place is worth the 5 stars

Food was tasty. Service was good. Background music was way too loud and didn’t fit a Peruvian vibe and decor. Walked in and the music wa blasting so asked to sit outside. Thankfully that helped…but it was still way too loud with old top 40 noise— beegees Michael Jackson, etc. Only a couple of tables at 5:30 on a Wednesday. I ordered what you have to have at a Peruvian restaurant. Chino ceviche: tasty Empanadas: crust was flakey and layered- different but good Pulpito with potatoes: small grilled octopuses with a rojo and verde sauces. Food was okay, too bad the music was so loud.
