I recently had the misfortune of dining at Pascal and Sabine, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The service was abysmal, and the food was even worse. The ambiance was ruined by the inattentive and rude staff, particularly the manager, Jase, who was the epitome of unprofessionalism. The food was overpriced and underwhelming. My dish was cold and tasteless, and when I brought it to the attention of the staff, they were dismissive and unhelpful. Jase, the manager, was particularly rude and made no effort to rectify the situation. His attitude was condescending and disrespectful, and it's clear that he has no idea how to manage a restaurant or treat customers. Overall, my experience at Pascal and Sabine was a nightmare. I would strongly advise anyone considering dining here to think twice. Save your money and go somewhere where the staff actually cares about their customers and the food is worth the price. This place is a joke, and Jase should be ashamed of how he runs it.

Stepping into Pascal and Sabine is like entering a world where food is treated as both art and comfort. From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere enveloped us, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff exudes genuine hospitality, with our waitress Asia providing service that was not only impeccable but also filled with delightful personality. The food, oh the food! Each dish was a masterpiece. The Sweet Garlic Soup was a revelation—creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor, a must-try for any garlic lover. The cheese board was a perfect prelude to the main event, offering a selection that was both thoughtful and indulgent, ideal for sharing. As for the main course, the pork chop was nothing short of perfection. Succulent, tender, and cooked to absolute precision, it was a testament to the kitchen’s dedication to excellence. Every bite was a celebration of flavor. And then, just when we thought it couldn't get any better, dessert arrived. The Milk Chocolate Pot de Crème was pure bliss—a silky, luxurious treat that left us speechless. It's the kind of dessert you simply cannot leave without trying. In conclusion, Pascal and Sabine is a gem that shines brightly in the culinary world. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this is a dining experience that should not be missed. From the delightful dishes to the friendly, attentive service, everything about Pascal and Sabine is exceptional. Highly, highly recommended!

The food and drinks are second to the great atmosphere. The burger, French onion soup and salad were cooked properly. The service was on oar for similar establishments.

Fantastic waitress. Food to forget. Rubbery bread, frozen crab cake, wrong mussels and the meat hard as a shoe. Good cocktail, correct wine list and the best the glass of Remy Martin. Totally out of orbit price. Place so noisy we had to talk via cell phone text. I don't think we will return although the valets were lovely. In France they would be shocked.

I think I came on a bad night. Each course took an hour to come out. The table next to us sat around the same time as us and they had 3 rounds of drinks before they got an appetizer- if that gives you an idea. We got caviar, and without asking if we wanted to take the rest home, the server got rid of it. I am a server and have worked in fine dining- that’s a big no no. Also when the food is taking over an hour, you should check up on the table, see if they need drinks, or at least apologize for the wait and we got none of that. Not to mention the entrees didn’t wow me either- my fish smelt a little funky. I would try again though because I’ve heard good things and I think we might’ve come on an off night.

This is an amazing restaurant, and an experience you will not soon forget! We had brunch here a few years back just by chance walking by and being a little hungry, and we were so impressed we’ve come back every time we come to Asbury park on vacation. This is a truly ideal date spot, but also cool for an amazingly impressive high-end bar experience with friends. The booths are crazy comfortable and the dark color decor creates a super cool ambience. The service is very attentive and knowledgeable, and they always have great suggestions for parings. The food is the main star though, and I highly suggest the scallops, the fettuccine, the oysters, and the cheese plate is something to die for, but it’s hard to go wrong with anything at this place, as everything I’ve tasted here has made me melt into my chair…

Horrible! Nice decor but that’s it. The noise level kills the ambience and the music. We had the worst escargot that were smothered in a butter sauce that tasted like a cup of salt was added to it. Also the escargot were tiny. The French onion soup was terrible and have had better at local diners. Rather than bread, they used soggy croutons. The $20 salad had lettuce that was wilted. We were so disappointed because we went there to celebrate our anniversary. Such a disappointment. We told the waitress and she deducted our drinks. Nothing like throwing 100 bucks.

The oysters have been 10/10 both times I went there, the wine/champagne choices are excellent and very reasonably priced, I had a fluke crudo tonight that made me think they were michelin starred in disguise, and I've had desserts that were extremely light and perfect. In sum, when I eat there, it's an experience and I clear a few hours because I want to do multiple courses.

Let's talk about the cocktails – crafted by the masterful hands of bartender ANDREW, each drink is a work of art. The flavors are so nuanced and balanced, it's clear that he pours his heart into every creation. Whether you're into classic cocktails or prefer to explore something new, you won't be disappointed. The steak tartare is incredibly fresh and the fluke crudo is a burst of citrus and flavors with every bite, highlighting the taste of the fresh seafood thats both delicious and visually stunning. Parking is street parking which may be troublesome during weekends. Convenient Parking deck is right next door if you're willing to pay.

We had an excellent meal here. The menu was a nice combo of French/American cuisine. We had the waygu beef tartar and mushrooms for apps. For entrees I had the pork chop which was incredibly tender and my GF had duck. In hindsight she didn't realize it came with beans (I think they were white beans) and would probably have picked something else bit it was still good. The cappuccino was delish. The meal went by quickly. We were probably there for a little over an hour. The only thing I would say is it would have been nice to gone at a slower pace. Maybe we just eat fast! 🤷‍♂️

Wow, what an incredible dining experience at Pascale and Sabine! From the moment we walked in, we were transported to a charming European oasis. Our server, Katelyn, was absolutely fantastic - attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. Her suggestion of the waffle with homemade whipped cream was a game-changer - it was heavenly! The food was simply delicious, with each dish expertly prepared and presented. The French cuisine was authentic and rich, with bold flavors that left us wanting more. The ambiance was cozy and intimate, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel like we were in a Parisian bistro. Katelyn's exceptional service and the outstanding cuisine made our evening truly special. We can't wait to return to Pascale and Sabine and experience it all again! 5 stars isn't enough - we'd give it 10 stars if we could!

As soon as we asked what brand Tequila was in a drink on cocktail menu and the server responded with "Mr Boston", we had an idea. Beautiful atmosphere. Servers were EXCELLENT. Food and drinks, not worth going back for. Scallops undercooked, even after sending back to kitchen to be touched up. Drinks were way under poured. I feel like my pork chop may have been sous vide, which I understand can be a fool proof way to cook, but gets soggy when left in bath for too long. If it wasnt sous vide, my mistake. Try it for yourself. Maybe a burger and a beer..

Let me preface this comment by saying I 100% believe that food needs to be well salted to bring out flavors and taste good. That being said, the chefs were very heavy handed with the salt in multiple dishes…to the point that the food wasn’t enjoyable to eat. We had the charcuterie board…very salty (but you expect that from cured meats. No biggie). Then the romaine salad, my steak, Frites, Pork chops….all so salty that some were almost inedible. And I LOVE well salted foods. But this was excessive and ruined the food. Really a shame because otherwise the flavor of the food was great. When asked how our food was, we honestly said the flavors are wonderful but would it be possible in the future to ask the chefs to use less salt. We got a condescending reply that no one’s ever complained about that and salt is necessary. The desserts and coffees were delicious. (Thankfully not salty). The only other complaint is the live music. The singer had a lovely voice but treated this like a personal concert with the volume too loud for us to be able to have a conversation without yelling. UPDATE: Had a chat with Emily, the experience manager. She acknowledged some misses and apologized for not making things right when we were there. She also said it was the first night with the singer and they didn’t quite have the volume worked out. We chatted about the saltiness of the food and she said she would encourage us to try again and let the chef know up front that we want things less salty. Looking through previous reviews I see that there’s a least 5 other reviewers who commented on the food being too salty. Everyone has a preference level, and mine is generally pretty high which is why I was surprised by the food and commented online. Appreciate the good management for listening to their customers and making things better. I remain neutral on returning. It’s wonderful that Pascal & Sabine would make accommodations (especially given their strict no substitution policy), but I feel at the price point I should arrive at a restaurant and be able to enjoy the food as prepared, vs needing to ask for special preparations. 🤷

Delicious food. Pork chop steak and French onion soup were amazing. Horrendous service. As all nice restaurants do, they have you place your order all at once. Our appetizers came out tonight at 6:30 and the food just arrived at 7:55. Unacceptable and even though everything was delicious, enough to make me never come or recommend this place again. You need to shape up in order to maintain your reputation. Server was incredibly standoffish when after an hour I asked for a status update. Pretty disappointed all things considered Edit - you need to check your servers, given the other reviews here their silence and poor hospitality are going to be your downfall. Just an incredibly uncomfortable experience all around

BEWARE. IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES. We had a family event this past weekend. We notified the staff of an allergy in writing prior to our visit as well as verbally before each course was served. They assured us the meal was safe to eat however it was not. It caused a severe life threatening allergic reaction requiring hospital visit . Afterwards I asked to talk to the owner and was told it would be 1-2 days before I would hear back and still have not heard from anyone despite the negligence by the staff. I am extremely disappointed in how they handled this situation and would not go there is you have any allergies.

We were there for a special occasion and were told we would have a private room, it was pretty much a back corner on the way to the restrooms, not cool. They had two musicians playing live jazz at the entrance, and it created such a lovely atmosphere. The food was spectacular, and we especially loved the house made bilinis that came with the Ossetra. The sweet garlic soup was surprisingly bright green, and absolutely rich and delicious; the seared foie gras and sole meunière melted in our mouths. The fish and chips dish was as delightfully fresh as the hand cut French fries. And the slaw was a perfect accompaniment to the crab cake, which was another delight. As a middle aged carnivore, I have experienced every level of steakhouse you can think of. From Applebees to Ruths Chris to Gordon Ramsey himself.... And this might be the most disappointing steak I have ever had. $75, 16oz boneless ribeye supposedly from Niman Ranch,,,,, was basically a hunk of gristle. I assume this is supposed to be Prime Beef, but I could be wrong. And it's not even worth mentioning the steak was way under cooked. I asked for medium rare and it came out with a charred crust and a cold center. I was there for a birthday celebration so I wasn't going to raise a stink about it, so I did my best to cut a few pieces of edible meat off this thing but every single bite had gristle in it. In addition, I asked to see a wine menu and the guy just asked me what I want. Well Junior, I want to see a menu..... I don't want the house Cabernet. He ended up bringing me a glass of whatever was open behind the bar. And all the food came out way too fast. Wife ordered French onion soup (with the French bread and melted/charred cheese on top.... The full French onion soup) and he left, came back 5 seconds later with a bowl of French onion soup. Everything was pre-made and just sitting under heat lamps waiting to be ordered. I will not be going back. I originally wrote a 2 star review but I had to change it to 1 star because there was nothing redeeming about this place. The vibe was ok; it was very very loud in this place and we had dinner at 6pm on a Tuesday. The drinks were ok?? And the raw oysters were awesome, but you really can't screw up raw oysters. I will definitely not be going back. I wouldn't go back to Pascal and Sabine even if it was on the same price point as TGI Fridays!!

Disappointing. We were super excited about this place but it didn't live up to the expectations. The service was good, but the food was mediocre at best. Everything we ordered was super salty. The filet mignon, which was 65 dollars was served on a toast with margarine, 3 pieces of broccoli Rabe and 2 pieces of small potatoes. It was love at first sight! We started off at the bar. Herbie made some awesome suggestions on the menu, and a killer cocktail to boot! For dinner we shared the oysters, caviar and escargot. All were simply delicious. For our meals, we had the Dover sole, duck cassoulet and a steak special. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our server, Jenna, was a delight! My new favorite place in Asbury!

Exceptional French cuisine. Everything we had was amazing. First off, the service was excellent. Our server, Jenna, was charming and very familiar with the menu. Her recommendations were spot on. We started with the excellent wagyu beef tartare which was topped with a raw egg yolk and served with toasted french bread. It was delicious. I don’t eat liver but my husband raved about the chicken liver mousse with brandy and duck fat. I had the French onion soup which was not only delicious but looked like it could have been on the cover of a cookbook. The melted cheese on top was browned and bubbly. The soup underneath tasted just as good as it looked. For our entree, he had the pan-seared scallops with creamy polenta which was amazing. The scallops were seared to perfection and the polenta was silky smooth. The sauce, mushrooms, and crispy sweet potato shavings were also terrific. For my entree I had the cassoulet. The first time I ever had cassoulet I was sitting outside of a tiny cafe on a beautiful summer evening in Provence. It was served in a traditional crock and had rabbit, sausage, and duck confit. It was incredible and is a very memorable meal. I have had cassoulet many times since then and have always been anywhere from somewhat to very disaapointed because nothing could ever come close to being as good as that first time. Until now. This was even better. After the French Onion soup I was expecting a traditional crock but instead it was a very contemporary presentation in a shallow dark bowl on a large white plate. The dark bowl made the white beans really stand out and the duck leg confit both looked and tasted amazing. The garlic sausage, beans, and the sauce they had braised in tasted incredible as well. An added bonus was the perfectly cooked duck breast which was seasoned just right with a perfect medium rare interior. This could have easily been a separate entree if paired with different sides. It was SO good. I’ve never had duck breast served with cassoulet but it was a genius idea. The flavors and seasoning all blended so well together. Really exceptional. Finally we had the profiterole for dessert which was also perfection. The shell was delicious and the vanilla ice cream inside was smooth and creamy with just the right amount of vanilla. Even the coffee was great. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. We live 3 hours away and just had dinner here by chance while in town to visit friends. I’d be tempted to make the drive just to have dinner here again.

Four friends decided to do a quick get away to Asbury Park for Thanksgiving. We had dinner at this establishment last evening and it was absolutely amazing. From the appetizers, to the mains to the dessert it was just outstanding. On a scale from 1-10 we all four gave it a 15. The atmosphere was exactly what we were in search of, the DJ was excellent and the service impeccable. We can’t wait to return. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Better experience this time around. Prompt service with excellent dishes and cocktails. I wouldn’t use prosciutto as a comparison when describing smoked duck or “spam” for pate

I’ve been here a few times and felt compelled to review.. I shared a beautiful Sunday night dinner with my boyfriend. The ambiance was French & romantic, candle lit with flowers on each table, fantastic service, delicious food beautifully plated and simply excellent. The bar tender crafted a mocktail given my simple “seasonal” instructions that exceeded expectations. 10/10 would recommend. My only suggestion to the restaurant would be to close the curtains on chilly nights as the room gets drafty !

My husband and I had an excellent dinner at Pascal & Sabine last week. We had not been there for several years, and were worried that it had gone downhill, but it did not disappoint. I highly recommend the Hudson Valley Foie Gras.

If I could give the service 10 stars I would. It was truly magical. That being said, I was a bit disappointed with my main dish. My small plate, Brandade was fantastic. The duck cassoulet I had...the chef seemed a bit heavy handed with the salt. Seems he was also heavy handed with the salt on my MIL's pork chop too That being said the Mushroom tart was decadent AF as was the sweet garlic soup Presentation was top notch on everything.

A great place for brunch with fabulous jazz live music. I love the Eggs Benedict (one of the best ever). The jazz violinist is awesome. The moules frites and the wine selection are great too. Wonderful service (the proverbial actor as a waiter).

Perfection on every level. Foie gras, escargot, dover sole, fluke, swiss chard, fennel-cucumber salad, pots de creme, creme brulee, wine list, decor all exceptional. Culinary execution on a Michelin star level. Service knowledgeable and spot on. Poper steware! Truly one of the best dining experiences. Well worth the trip and the money! The best fine dining in all of NJ. An absolute must try.

If you love French food you will love Pascal & Sabine. We ate in a large group so got to try many of the dishes including escargot, steak tartare, little gem salad, roast duck and coq au vin. Everything had tons of flavor and was VERY well executed. We had an excellent time chatting amping at the moody ambiance and the server was super friendly. High end dining in Asbury Park!

We had a nice anniversary dinner at Pascal & Sabine. Appetizers were excellent, but the main courses weren't as great. Oysters, beef tartare and foie gras were excellent and perfectly prepared. The scallops main was good, but way too salty (and this is coming from someone who eats a ton of salt and almost always has to add salt to dishes). The duck main had breast that was flawlessly prepared and confit which was too dry. It also came with some sausage pieces, which were just plan bad. Service started out as being exceptional and super attentive. However, as the restaurant filled up, it became much less so and our server was hard to find or get his attention. We ordered the last glass of wine and that tool almost 15 min to be brought. Also, the restaurant is located in a really bad area, so we were concerned leaving our car on the street and walking back to the car after dinner.

We went into the restaurant expecting an average but good experience, but we were knocked out by the FOOD! I had a what I expected to be a standard cucumber side salad, but the sauce it was in made it something special. I followed it with a duck's breast cassoulet, which had something else in it which made it truly remarkable. The dessert was a chocolate pot du creme with a layer of salted caramel. Each dish had something I'd never had before, & all were delicious. Warning: fairly expensive. We will be going back the next time we're anywhere near Asbury Park!

The worst host I’ve ever encountered. My husband naturally talks loud. The only interation was that my husband said “we have a small dog is it possible to sit outside” and the host replied “you don’t have to raise your voice”. Absolutely rude and disgusting I lost all my appetite immediately. Will never step foot in this restaurant anymore even without having our pup with us.

They served my GF and I raw steak. We sent it back. Instead of cooking us a new steak, they cooked the raw one into leather and re-served it. We sent it back a second time. They offered no form of a refund. Never coming back. In all fairness, its really a place to order a hamburger, fries ( which are amazing) and cocktails ( very good). But I do think it's overrated.

Fantastic dinner, from start to finish! Treat yourself to a meal at this French brasserie for date night, which will make you feel like you’re in Paris. Complete with live music! Have been here a few times and the food has been consistently delicious and perfectly prepared. Recommend the fromage and charcuterie boards, as well as the oysters and French onion soup to start. We had the Porterhouse for 2 — perfection! We didn’t have any cocktails, but they looked amazing and the bar seemed so pleasant and inviting. The wine list was great — something for everyone.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Asbury. Service is great, food is great, drinks are amazing. Be ready to pay for it all as it's not cheap. A small glass, and they are small, of wine is $18. Cheese platter with 4 cheeses is $30. Fish and meat dishes over $45-70. It's a nice splurge for a special occasion. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Weekends you need a reservation. I prefer midweek since it's slower.

Hip upscale vibe with great drink and food selection. The mushroom tart was so rich in flavor and texture. Eloquently balanced with sauce and pastry dough to elevate the flavor. For dinner I had beautiful 20 oz New York Strip steak with fries. The meat was butchered in way you can truly enjoy the chew and savoriness of steak. The steak fries were generous in size just slightly over crisped at times. The side sauces really added a broad selection of flavors. Everything from slightly acidic to rich creamy texture. I highly suggest getting the materi dei butter as it really heightened the flavor profile of each bite I dipped steak into. The creme brulee was prepared perfectly with sweet rich sugar shell that sat on top of soft custard that was perfect consistency. It had the perfect balance of vanilla bean taste mixed with texture and sweetness of caramelized sugar. I would go back to this restaurant there is a level of care and high attention to detail to satisfying guests palettes. Cheers.

I wish I could leave a review about the food, however the customer service is so poor that I didn't even get that far. Here's what happened: On August 14th I went to the website to find information about planning my sister's birthday dinner. The website instructs to send an email for larger parties. At the time we were a party of 12. I sent an email requesting a table for 12 at 6 o'clock for August 26th. The next day I receive a response from Fabiola Silva stating that there wasn't a 6 o'clock available but there was a 5 o'clock opening that required a deposit and a contract for a party of 12. Attached to the email was a link to their prix fixe menu for large parties. I immediately respond that we would take the 5:00 seating with our choice of the desired prix fixe menu. I ask Fabiola to please contact me so that we can proceed with a deposit. I leave my phone number. And I wait. After no response by August 18th, I call the restaurant and I leave a detailed message for Fabiola explaining the reason for the call. No return phone call or email. Finally today, August 20th I call again. I leave another message and I follow up with another email. Several hours later, Fabiola responds by telling me that because I didn't send her a deposit she gave the 5:00 seating away. I responded that I had no idea how to make a deposit because I never heard back. She writes back claiming she sent me a "contract built just for me." I tell her to go through our email chain and she would see that she only sent me the menu. I'm patiently waiting for "oh you're right, I neglected to follow up on your request" but to no avail. She just keeps putting it back on me and now can only offer a 4:00 seating which will not work for our party, which is now a party of 15. I tell her how disappointed I am over this especially because she is refusing to take responsibility for her mistake. I'm literally feuding via email with this "hospitality leader" just stunned by how rude she is to me. Finally, I'm begging for her to go through the email chain to see clear as day she messed up! Instead she accuses me of never actually calling and leaving a message for her and then says that she "hopes my experience elsewhere is one that I deserve! (See below the actual email from Fabiola the Hospitality Leader.) Needless to say I will never step foot in this restaurant. All Fabiola had to do was own up to her mistake to make amends. Instead she just apologizes that I failed to make a deposit on a contract that was never sent to me. If this is who I have to deal with before even stepping foot in the restaurant then I can't even imagine how terrible the service is. And according to reviews the food is underwhelming.
