Best BBQ in southern Illinois. A little off the beaten track, but well worth an extra drive. Juicy, moist ribs are cooked to perfection. Even the sides are delicious. There is a reason why Pat won Memphis in May. Other BBQ joints might be more famous, none of them have better food.

Italian Beef Sandwich is really good. Order a side of the a ju it is cooked it to pour over sandwich. It tastes sooo good. Add banana pepper too

As much as I love how affordable this place is, I've gotta be honest. The meat tastes very odd at times. There's just something about the ribs. Either they're old, or they're from some seriously beaten down pigs. Maybe the ribs are frozen for a very, very, very long time before being cooked. Now, if you're down to drench the meat in crazy amounts of sauce, which is easy to do because it is crazy how cheap the joint is, you'll hardly notice. But I really do wonder what exactly is making the meat taste so odd.

Good was just ok. There was 6 of us and they got 3 of the orders right.

A little out of my way to get there but definitely coming back I had the beef brisket plate and the beef had great flavor and the meat was moist it was just perfect and the the sides were fantastic also I ordered the green beans and pasta salad. I’m not sure if Rodger was the owner but he was extremely helpful since it was my first time. He also gave me a sample of the ribs which again was done perfect, champion ribs . Definitely must come here it’s worth the trip.

Best barbecue in Murphysboro for sure! Everybody at this place is awesome and I loved it they always give my dog a treat in the drive-through!

Absolutely delicious! Love the nachos with brisket. The smell of the food is intoxicating. I have yet to make it on a Friday to try out the brisket tacos, but they are on my list. They have great sandwiches and sides as well. The brisket is tender, flavorful, and just pulls apart so easily. If you are local, or visiting wine country, you NEED to try Pat's. You will not be disappointed.

Had the Pulled chicken plate with green beans and Mac and cheese, everything was absolutely amazing especially the green beans they were perfectly seasoned.Pulled chicken is always gold to me but theirs was seasoned well and tender, not dry at all with that really good BBQ sauce on it. Have been here a few times am always had really go service and food, drive theough is super convenient aswell.

Decided to stop by and try out Pat's BBQ. We went though the drive thur as we had our pup with us. It was right at lunch time and they were busy. However, they were quick and the line move along nicely. We ordered the pulled pork sandwiches and Supreme nachos. Wow! The Supreme nachos were delicious and loaded up not like other joints that are skimpy with their toppings. The bbq pork sandwiches were moist and full of flavor. The price was reasonable and we will return in the future to try other items and of course more nachos 😁

BBQ didnt have any flavor, didnt look or taste fresh, will not eat here again , was really hoping for great BBQ but sincerely disappointed.

Good sides, meat was pretty small portioned for the price and wasn't the best.

We ordered 3 meals tonight. Wings, rib tips and BBQ pork steak sandwich dinners. The wing plate had only one side (missing the Mac and cheese). All 3 of the meats were so dry and tough we could barely chew it, but the worst thing was long hair embedded in 1 piece of each of the meats. All 3 dinners. Like it was cooked on it. I doubt we have the stomach to go back.

Loaded baked potatoes with pulled pork was amazing

Had the slaw dog for the first time and it was great. My son had pulled pork, delicious. We both had smoked Mac and cheese and green beans. Very very tasty. Prices are extremely reasonable and portions are large. Great choice for lunch!

A much better overall experience then the other bbq place around. Employees were attentive, fast, and cared about my order. Great brisket, very good pulled pork, ribs were on point. Pat's BBQ is a great place to go hit the drive up without the pandemic they had inside setting the food is terrific to help with always great I'm not been there that much recently but I would recommend it to anybody who likes barbecue and he has did a fabulous job throughout his lifetime and winning prizes and trophies for his barbecue just thought I'd let you know what's a great place to go he's a very good man and I like the way he runs his business. The help seems to be great also. I would suggest that you try it sometime if you like barbecue food.

The meat is smoked well, but you would think they would automatically provide BBQ sauce at the BBQ place....nope. I didn't think to ask and neither did they. Pretty dry stuff without BBQ sauce.

I went to drive-thru to order for 2 households. Waitress was very nice & helpful. I ordered Brisket, Italian beef, baked beans, potato salad & macaroni salad. I wasn't fond of the mac salad- too cheesy for me but I love their potato salad.. We were all happy & full. Will go back for sure.

I can't say enough about how delicious the food is. The menu is simple with specials that are extra special like their open-faced sandwiches. In the summer the salads are incredible. The desserts that support other local venues. And Pats involvement with the Southern Illinois Collaborative Kitchen... The staff is absolutely wonderful. There's nothing better than having food from here. It's home.

Just had some of Pat Burke’s bbq for lunch and it was amazing! I had the brisket sandwich and it was perfect, didn’t need a thing. The sides were fantastic as well. My mom also had the brisket, and my aunt had a half rack of ribs; sounds like they’re pleased as well. Highly recommend!

Brought there by a friend. This is a great little hideaway. They need to upgrade and go back into contention. It's time they step up and show the franchise's around that locals can produce better BBQ.

Went there and had a sampler - ribs, pork, brisket, pulled chicken, two sides - all for twelve bucks. That's a great deal even for mediocre food, but it's an amazing deal for food as good as Pat's. Pat, by the way, is a multiple Memphis in May Grand Champion and member of the BBQ Hall of Fame, and his food lives up to it.
