While the food here was absolutely delicious, and worth the $30+ per plate price tag, there were several aspects of our experience that left a sour taste. The $6 price tag on a small soda felt excessive, not to mention the unnecessary comment of the server to inform us gratuity was not included when we asked for the check, it makes the whole experience fell cheap to me when a person does that. Additionally, the restaurant was empty when we arrived, yet we were told a reservation was needed, despite no mention of it on their website or at the entrance. This gave the impression we weren't truly welcome, possibly due to having a child with us. Overall, the food earns five stars, ( i was just in italy last month and the pasta here tasted just like in italy) and the servers were nice and respectful, but the exorbitant soda price (just add an extra dollar or two to the food items and you’ll make more money and avoid looking like a beggar) and questionable policies detract significantly from the experience.

We had the most delicious Ossobuco at Peperoncino restaurant. It was the best we've ever had and my husband's favorite dish. The server's wine recommendation, an Italian Vino Rosso, perfectly complemented our meal.

Probably one of the most underrated italian restaurants in Orlando, yet, one of the best. Great selection of dishes from different regions and well balanced flavors. A good dining experience for those who appreciate authentic cuisine.

Everything was good food: food quality and service. The only complain will be the discrepancy on some items that was charged diferent (high price) that it's show in the menu like the sangria show $8 on the menu and we was charged $14.

I wanted to love this place but I didn’t. Heard about it on TikTok and how great it was, so finally went to try it. I usually go to Fresca on this side of town, but thought, why not make an exception. I was not impressed and almost disappointed. We ordered octopus for app Lasagna and carbonara for main Finished with tiramisu Bread arrived at the table. The bread was actually 10/10. Super fresh and tasty. Octopus was a 5.8/10. I thought it was just too drenched in the sauce. I never had red sauce with pulpo and it tasted pretty good but it was just too much sauce to pulpo ratio. Lasagna is a secret family recipe and I LOVE a good Italian secret recipe dish. Unfortunately I couldn’t properly enjoy this because this was microwaved prior to serving. I was extremely disappointed to find my plate extremely hot and one side of lasagna hot while the other side was like warm. 2/10. Carbonara was too creamy (too much sauce again) in my opinion. Tiramisu was 10/10.

One of the best plates of pasta I’ve had in a long time! Pasta con vongole (clams) with a touch of Calabrian N’duja to spice it up! Absolutely spectacular dish! If you haven’t tried Peperoncino in Dr. Philip’s on Sand Lake, Rd. You don’t know what you’re missing!

Peperoncino is by-far THE local place for authentic, quality Italian cuisine. An absolute staple for me when it comes to planning a date night. The food is incredible, the portions generous, and the staff are not only warm and friendly, but incredibly knowledgeable about the food and wine of Italy. Just ask a question about the menu or for a recommendation and you'll see exactly what I mean.

Was our first time food, service and atmosphere amazing. The music was perfect they received us with welcome anniversary greeting so nice. The recommendation of food and wine selection love it. You feel you are in Italy 🇮🇹 💯 recommend. You will not be disappointed. We definitely will be back soon.

I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a delightful dining experience with excellent service and authentic Italian flavors. As someone who enjoys exploring different eateries and cherishing quality time, it's rare for me to be impressed easily. However, I must admit, it's been a while since I've savored Italian cuisine as much as I did here. The coffee and dessert were exquisite, and Chef Barbara's attention to detail truly shone through. It's the kind of place you leave longing to return soon and sample more dishes from the menu, and I certainly intend to do just that. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to spend a pleasant time with good service and enjoy the true Italian flavor. I love exploring different restaurants and spending quality time eating, so I'm not easily impressed. However, I must admit that it has been a long time since I enjoyed good Italian food so much. The coffee and dessert were delicious, and every detail was meticulously taken care of by Chef Barbara. This is one of those restaurants that you want to return to soon to try other dishes on the menu, and I definitely will!

We took the family here for dinner. There was only one chef cooking. We waited two hours for our food. The food is average.

Nice atmosphere, waiters were good. Food was horrible. Calamari was tasteless, carbonara was over salted, could not be eaten, and the black ink linguine had so much sauce it was swimming in it. I left over half my meal.... Plus, no real flavour. Was really thinking the food was going to be good based on the reviews, a sad waste of $100. Don't go.

Legitimately one of the most authentic Italian experiences. All dishes made properly and not changed to the American version. Very happy! Slight hiccup regarding ordering and a misunderstanding but will definitely return

Orlando leans to the superficial: what you see is more than what you get. Peperoncino is an exception. The restaurant is charming and intimate, the wait staff are kind and welcoming, the food is authentic and fairly priced. It should be a staple for locals or visitors who want to experience what the city has to offer.

I am very disappointed with the restaurant… Met some friends from my country and they chose this restaurant since they wanted to eat Italian food… For the price paid ($452) for 2 couples and a kid we were expecting much more… My biggest disappointment was the carpaccio… We paid $48 for some tick steak, even difficult to eat/cut… I am not sure how/ why there are reviews praising their food, but none of us were impressed by the flavors offered in the food we ordered…

The pizza was outstanding with a perfect balance of flavors, the chicken parmesan was deliciously savory, and the fresh pasta showcased their commitment to quality ingredients. Bruschetta was the best. Extremely disappointed with chicken parmigiano & pasta with Bolognase. 1st cutlet was dry, edges burnt and tough, sent it back, 2nd cutlet still not tender enough. This item is the true telltale of a good Italian rest - not here. Disappointed with pasta & Bolognase sauce more pasta than sauce. On the other hand I had pasta with clams. Didn't care for the mound of manila clams, use to larger clams. Spinach pasta & sauce was delicious. Didn't want to see 20 manilas.

I would like to start my review by saying I’ve been there many times before today but I wouldn’t go back! We arrived at 6:57pm asked for a table of 9 people, 5 adults and 4 kids, we were told to wait for the praise table to be cleaned. We waited 25 min, they asked us to seat and they were going to clean in the meantime. Once seated, after walking through the restaurant, around 3 min later the guys came and told us that the owner called and told him that the restaurant was all reserved till 8:30pm. I can tell it was because of the kids, but if this is a kids free place it should be state everywhere, or they should’ve told us. I can’t believe how they sat us and then suddenly we are not able to seat. We noticed they were uncomfortable with the presence of the kids. So if you are planning to go to this restaurant make sure not to bring your kids, it’s not kid friendly! We were judged all the time we were there waiting for the table! I am not a mom myself, but I wouldn’t go back anymore. And I will make sure friends do not go there because the treat was unacceptable.

We had dinner at Peperoncino tonight & it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had! Our experience started off rocky, not due in any part to the restaurant or staff, but rather a very large & rude group of women accompanied by several loud children! These ladies came into a fully booked restaurant with screaming kids and no reservation. They allowed their kids to misbehave & to loudly & repeatedly play rock paper scissors. We hadn’t ordered yet and I told my husband that if they didn’t quiet down, we should just leave. They kept on with this awful behavior for about 10 minutes while the staff tried to accommodate them. We were at the first table by the door, so they were right next to us behaving this way. At that point I got up and politely asked the kids to quiet down and told them they were disturbing our meal and everyone else’s in the restaurant. The kids apologized but the moms actually glared at me! Soon after they were brought to the outside section and again caused a major fuss with the staff. These ladies were so rude, kudos to the staff for keeping their composure and remaining so professional in the face of such disrespectful and rude behavior. This is not a daycare center, nor it is Disney World, nor is it a McDonald’s playground- at these price points, guests are looking for a nice, quiet, upscale environment. We understand that kids will be kids, but parents need to be parents too! These women literally ignored their kids despite multiple guests shushing them & starring. They acted like they owed the place and were disgusted that no one would tolerate their poorly behaved children. If I behaved that way when I was a child, my mother would have smacked the taste out of my mouth! I cannot say how much I appreciated how the staff handled this situation and how pleasant the experience was once these rude folks were gone! Now, on to our dinner- Our server was Daniel and he was wonderful! Daniel is an excellent server, he has a wonderful personality & is so genuine & pleasant. Carlos was also super attentive to us. He came over from the bar several times to check on us and make sure that everything was perfect. Both were not only highly professional & respectful but also incredibly knowledgeable! Jorge was great too- he brought us the most wonderful bread we’ve ever eaten- clearly homemade! We had the risotto with bacon & chicken and it was perfectly al dente! We also had the lasagna which was absolutely delicious. My husband order the amarone but it was 86’d. Daniel recommended the Magliocco Calabria Rosso & it was so good, I got myself a glass too! For dessert we had the pistachio cake with coffee chocolate chip gelato & tiramisu. The pistachio cake was incredible & paired beautifully with the coffee gelato (great recommendation Daniel!) & the tiramisu was quite possibly the best I’ve ever had! Overall, Peperoncino is fantastic, the staff is wonderful & so incredibly patient, and of course, the food is outstanding! Daniel, Carlos, & Jorge, thank you so much for a wonderful evening & see you again soon!

Excellent! Real carbonara and real Italian.

Found this place on a whim while driving around the shopping center and decided to give it a try. First off, it is VERY small. The inside is incredibly tight and there are very few tables. We ended up sitting outside where there were about three more tables. It would have been a lovely atmosphere except there is either a cigar lounge or a smoking area very nearby and You can smell the stench very strongly while trying to enjoy your meal. The bread starter that is brought to the table is absolutely lovely! So delicious and a wonderful way to start your meal. The star for us was the appetizer we ordered, thick crunchy bread topped with diced tomatoes and a lovely blend of olive oil and Italian spices with some fresh mozzarella and prosciutto. it came on a bed of arugula and basil. We added a little bit of balsamic vinegar and it was absolutely wonderful. The flavors complemented each other so well, everything just felt like it created such a depth of flavor and nothing was competing with the other. For our main dish we decided to share a pizza. La Picantissima. Our waiter was very kind and did let us know that any of the dishes with a little chili pepper on them are more on the spicy side. We should have listened to their word of caution, and the name of this dish, because the heat/spice level was so overpowering that it really diminished the taste of the dish itself. We love spice, but the heat level on this was to the point that you couldn’t taste any of the rest of the ingredients. The cheese on the pizza was a lovely texture and consistency, but the heat level destroyed any flavor profile. There was even some type of chili baked into the dough of the pizza. So there was not any single moment where you were getting anything else other than heat. It was very disappointing because the presentation of the pizza was beautiful, it looked delicious! But in terms of the actual flavor Of the dish, there wasn’t any. It was all heat. Clearly this is a matter of preference, so if you were someone who really really loves heat, maybe give this one a try. But just keep in mind that it really does blow out your pallet for anything else that you’re trying to taste. The biggest highlight was the service. Our waiter was absolutely lovely and very attentive. For two people we spent $71 before tip. That included the appetizer (added Prosciutto for a surcharge), pizza, and One glass of wine. If we had been able to enjoy the pizza, I wouldn’t think it was too expensive. But since The pizza was pretty inedible, that was a big disappointment and made the price tag feel like it was too much.

The Norma pasta and spicy pizza were amazing! They forgot one of our kids pastas and took a very long time to bring out a plain butter noodle. We sat outside which was nice.

The food is outstanding! I recommend many dishes from this restaurant specifically the Fiocchi. The staff is very kind and professional. I recommend securing a reservation for dinner because it can get crowded quick. I feel they have many authentic Italian dishes that can accommodate many different tastes. The only problem I had was I saw the manager transfer Liquor and Prosecco from one older bottle to a newer half filled bottle. For as expensive as the drinks are at this establishment, I would not want to pay upwards of $15 for champagne or a mixed drink for it to be flat.

This place is amazing! The chef/owner is truly an artisan when it comes to flavor. The food is always delicious, full of rich, sophisticated tastes with nice portion sizes and you should try the specials because they are always unique. This is not just another Italian restaurant, it's a cut above!

I had heard good things about this place but then had a horrible experience. We walked in the rain to get there, arrived around 7pm to see open tables, but we’re told they won’t serve us because they don’t take walk ins. We were a party of 2 people and asked if there were reservations for the open tables. There were not. The guy who spoke with us was incredibly rude.

I am a big fan of Italian cuisine and peperoncino is a really distinctive place among others in Orlando. The menu offer authentic Italian dishes, and everything what I’ve tried was 10/10. My server was very polite and attentive, he answered all my questions and made a recommendation for drinks. I’ll definitely come back!

Si están buscando cocina italiana auténtica este es el lugar sin discusión en la Florida Central, mejor llamar y hacer reservación siempre están llenos. Super rude staff. We drove all the way there and walked across the parking lot in the rain, and sat at an available table. A guy behind the bar then told me we couldn’t sit there, as they weren’t taking walk ins for some reason. I explained it was pouring rain, he didn’t care. We stood outside in the rain for 10 minutes and then watched them serve the next couple who sat at that table.

Second update: Came in for lunch one day. Unpleasant odor in the dining room. Service was not attentive. Then the server applied automatic gratuity for my $40 lunch. This is the highest form of disrespect you can show a guest, let alone someone who also works in the restaurant industry. For as long as that gentleman remains employed at Peperoncino I will not return even if that means ever. Great food but the exceptionally poor service left a very bad aftertaste in my mouth. Update:I have been three times now, once at night and twice during the day. I really think it's much better than Fresco Cucina, it is a small, upscale joint in the Dellagio complex and the food and service are equally good. Authentic Italian wines/beers and a great chef with a flavor forward menu. Previous: One young server (Carlos) took care of 5 different groups of guests and did a fantastic job. I came a separate time with a group but also received great service and food. I applaud everything this place is doing. Authentic Italian cuisine that you don't have to over pay for and a very hearty and welcoming staff.

After waiting 10 minutes for a waiter, we finally got our club soda. Waiter just put them on the table and walked away never asking if we wanted to order. I decided to get calamari but only saw it on the child's menu. It took about 20 minutes to get it and it was a huge plate of the toughest rings of calamari either of us ever had. It was impossible to even bite. How a child could be given this was unbelievable. When I asked for the manager, he came and was asked to remove the plate and told why. His reply, instead of being supportive of a customer was "that's the way we make it." Well my friend finally got his salad and after sitting in this place for 30 minutes or more I got MY entree which was not hot and his never came. The explanation was that they only had one cook that evening and things were backed up. We looked at on another and decided that the 45 minutes or more in this place was too much and we got up and left. Find another place, or go there if you have lots of time to sit and wait. BTW, the chicken cutlet was so overcooked that the table knife could hardly cut it.

Ordered pasta with chicken, and it was so bad I had to send it back, spose had pasta with broccoli, and she just couldn't eat, overcooked or bad, she was sick all night. I will never ever go to this place.

My. husband and I discovered Peperoncino the first year that Chef Barbara opened. We loved it! We are from Ohio and try to plan a trip to Orlando specifically so that we can eat there. Every dish we've eaten there has been amazing. I love watching Chef Barbara cook her creative recipes. The wait staff is great, giving wine and food suggestions and descriptions. They are very attentive but not pushy.

In addition, he told me to please quickly because I arrive at 9:20 pm. THIS WAS MY WORST EXPERIENCE!!! Let me start by saying this food here is phenomenal!! When you talk about hidden gems … this is what they mean! We have been going for the last year or so and were never disappointed until our last 3 visits. First issue we experienced was we went for dinner and we’re asked to wait a ridiculous amount of time bc of a shortage of servers… we get it and we are very understanding but there were plenty of tables available with only 3 being occupied and 2 waiters. We could have at least been sat down. The next time I arrived at 12 to surprise my wife with lunch and they tell me they are closed and opening at 2. Despite the posted hours on the door and online. This last time we arrived for a quiet family dinner around 645 and are told the full menu is not available and only appetizers and pizza are available. We live about 45 mins away and our trips to Peperoncino have always been an amazing exciting time however these last few incidents have left a bad taste in our mouth (no pun intended). I hope things improve or else this location will not last much longer no matter how fantastic there food is.

This place is amazing. Food is great. The staff is lovely. We had the burrata, and pasta dishes. They were all fantastic. Este lugar es increíble, la comida es maravillosa, el staff es super atento y flexible. Pasamos un momento increíble. Nosotros comimos la burrata que estaba deliciosa, y diferentes pastas. Yo me comi la gricia y estaba riquísima.
