I recently dined at Peru’s Chicken located at 12106 Central Ave, Mitchellville, MD 20721, and had an overall great experience. I ordered the Pollo Saltado, and the flavors were fantastic—truly authentic Peruvian cuisine. The service was good; the staff was friendly and attentive, though the wait time was a bit longer than expected. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were generous, making it a great value for money. If you enjoy Peruvian food and are looking for a delicious meal without breaking the bank, I would definitely recommend Peru’s Chicken. Four stars!

The chicken was dry. They don’t try to stir the sides to make them look presentable. When they cook food they don’t wear gloves. The staff was playing on there phones and then serving food with no gloves nor did he wash his hands. I will never come back to this place.

I got the lamb bombing chops, says Peru’s I was shocked to see an Asian with Latino crew. The food was delicious ooooooo. I’m definitely coming back

Highkey drive 45-an hour to cop they food cause it's good, but I be sick when I get 2 meals + 2 large rices 🍚 and have to pay 2 bucks for extra sauces, like bro sauce me up, I just spent 50 bucks

Salmon and Chicken consistently Excellent!

The chicken was really great, affordable and I could honestly say that they almost give you twice the amount of food compared to other places, very rarely I’m not able to finish a meal, which happened today, it was a lot of food which is great because I need to eat a lot. I’ve eaten in hundreds of chicken restaurants as I work with remodeling and go to different addresses every week, this place is great and deserves your business.

A clean place, good was really good. I’ve had Peruvian food in many places but the chicken was seasoned really well and the chicken was moist. Ordered a lomo saltado and it was also great. Great little gem here to eat at

Prices are a bit higher than other Peruvian chicken places. The employees were very nice. My husband got tacos and he enjoyed them I got chicken with green beans and rice. It was pretty good. Chicken was a little drier than other Peruvian chicken places but still very tasty. The sides were amazing. We split a tres leches that was great.

Got food to go. Food was ready when we arrived but portion size was skimpy with my chicken as compared to other times ordering the same meal.

My friend who lives in the area suggested this restaurant for our dinner. This was my first Peruvian meal. I had the white meat chicken, creamed spinach, and plantains. The portions were really good. There were enough plantains for 2 or 3 meals. They were delicious!! The same goes for the creamed spinach. I started to get dark meat because I thought the white meat would be too dry. To my delight, the chicken was moist and tender. The seasoning was so good I could have just eaten a plate of skin. I love spicy food, but I must say, that green sauce caught me off guard...it was really spicy! After the first bite and after cooling my mouth, I tried it again. This time, it was better because I expected the heat. I think the chicken is good without the sauce.

Very unwelcoming environment. Cloudy, hard plastic, counter-to-ceiling security shied is the front-facing barrier at the counter for ordering; very unwelcoming undertones. While there are tables and chairs - the chairs are upside down on the table - not down on the floor for seating. The atmosphere and temperature were very unappealing, unwelcoming and disappointing - the building is cold. The cooked part of the chicken (see picture - "salmonella city") is dry and salty - not "seasoned" however salty. The rice is bland and soft and the vegetables are mushy also not seasoned nor is either appetizing. 1/2 white chicken, fried rice and mixed vegetables - $19.19. If zero stars were an option - that would have been my rating for food and atmosphere. I do not recommend "giving it a try".

Food tastes good! Surprisingly so bc the workers weren’t Peruvian but the plantains was cooked well and tasted good like other Peruvian chicken spots. The chicken itself was juicy and roasted really well! The sauces are 🔥 overall, very good and prices are affordable for a ton of food! The staff was also very friendly (gave smiles 😊)!

Friendly staff, clean and the chicken is not dry. Whenever I just cannot bring myself to prepare a meal, I call in an order at Peru's. It's never crowded, never out of items and a staple on our community.

Great service, good food. But there is no reason for it to be pricier than all the other peruvian chicken places in the region. It's definitely not the tastiest and free unhealthy soda do not make up for the extra $7 charges on a whole chicken order.

This Peruvian restaurant offers well prepared and very tasty foods. The staff is friendly and helpful with suggestions, they offer family sized meals with 4 sides of your choice. The menu prices is very affordable, restaurant is spacious and clean. We bought food twice from this location, my family enjoyed every bit and had zero complaints. If you're in the area stop in or call ahead for pickup, the food is usually ready in 5 minutes. I definitely recommend this spot of authentic Peruvian cuisine.

I drive all over the DMV for work and eat a lot of Peruvian chicken. This place is one of the best I’ve ever had. The fish, yucca, and rice are especially good.

Question: is this the same owner as the one located on Annapolis Rd? That place was the best chicken place I have visited in my 10 years in this area. After the tragic accident that happened to the store I had the need to go back to Virginia, the pollo Rico, which is also a great place but far. This 5 start is for the Annapolis rd location: great customer service, delicious chicken, and clean place. Hope to see the store some day again on this area, Landover hills 😊

I love the food from Peru chicken, but they are a little heavy on the salt. If I could have my salmon and chicken less salty I would be happy. I love the salad and all of the sides. And the Ceasar salad dressing is really good.

This is a sleeper restaurant. You don't expect much then #bam. Full of flavor. Get the chicken or splurge on the lamb. The lamb here is better than several so called expensive restaurants at a very reasonable price.

It's okay. The Chicken was on the dry and salty side. Also the staff was a bit rude.

EXCELLENT PLACE TO GO FOR GRILLED CHICKEN AND VEGETABLES

It's ok. The veggies are overcooked and the chicken wasn't all the way cooked it had blood on the inside so I had to finish cooking it at home. I have to admit that the girls that work there have GREAT customer service.

The food was cold and I asked to wait for fresh food and was told this is it "we are not making anything new, you have to get what is here. There was warming trays but I guess they weren't working. The chicken looked good but it was hard. Will try again and go early and maybe get hot food.

I tried half chicken today and was positively surprised. Place was not crowded so I feared it was poor, but it was really juicy and tasty. Service was also good.

So the place looks a little iffy from outside, but once you get inside it feels warm and cozy. Their place is a little small, but there is ample room for the traffic level. The employees are friendly and multilingual. You can see the Chicken roasting in the back, and the service is fairly quick - not too fast and not too slow. The bathroom is clean, and they keep spare drinks in a corner of the back of the dining room due to a lack of storage. The first night, 4 of us went. 'V' got a salad - which was fresh. He didn't usually like salads, but he thought it was fantastic. 'E' got a 1/2 a chicken with green beans and French fries. 'B' got the same thing with fried rice instead of fries. I got Chicken Tacos, which were quite good. None of us had any complaints with the taste, so we went back again the next night. 'V' was tired, so he stayed back at the room, 'E' and 'B' stuck to their 1/2 a chicken, and I ordered the Grilled Salmon with fried rice and mixed vegetables. All of it was great, and the salmon was bloody brilliant. I highly encourage you to come and try something - I'm not actually a fan of Chicken, but they did a fantastic job. They only thing I have to say in warning is they pack a lot of food in for the price, so be prepared to take it home. Fear not, they will eagerly give you go-boxes at the counter.

This place isn't fancy or even appealing from the outside but the food was delicious! We happened around here on our way down to FL and even though I initially was going to a different place, this one caught my eye. We had rotisserie chicken which was perfectly seasoned and cooked, along with fried yuca, rice, beans and plantains, all of which were delicious. The price was also great, we got a family meal (enough to feed about 8 people) for $40, drinks included... you can't beat that... Also, I'd like to thank the staff for being so incredibly kind and attentive, they made the experience even better.

The restaurant area is clean and contains a number of tables for seating. There is available almost unlimited parking a short distance from the entrance. Service is quick, the food is very good. There's a wide range of sides. Good value for the money.

I love everything about this plate. The veggie tray ( string beans, plantain, and black beans) are delicious! The roasted chicken was spectacular. It was very flavorful. I enjoy the carrying dipping sauces, yummy!!

This place wasn't knocking down any doors. It was simply okay, I ordered a small plantains which tasted ordinar.

Wonderfully flavored chicken, very tender and juicy. We got carryout on a Saturday afternoon at the Mitchellville location. I ordered the two piece meal with sides of white rice and plaintains. The chicken smelled so good in the car. It was a bargain for the large portions we got. The plaintains were mostly good. There were a few firmer, less sweet pieces but still good. Next time, it's going to be a whole chicken! I can't wait until I'm in the area again.

Recently picked up dinner on the go. The customer service was great and the food tasted great as well. One order of a half chicken and two sides were plenty enough for 2 people. I will go there before KFC any day.

First of all this place is NOT located on Central Avenue in Mitchellville. Well at least not the one I visited. It's actually just off of 495 North on HWY 450 Annapolis Rd Right next door to McDonalds and Red lobster. This place had some of the best chicken I ever tasted! Perfectly seasoned, tender and juicy. Nothing Fancy about this place. Great Hispanic owned and operated establishment. Eat in or carry out. Great choice of sides also. Everything seemed fresh and well prepared. Very reasonably priced. A must try if you happen to be in the area!

Stopped by on way to Six Flags America. It is located in a strip mall and it pretty big. The Peruvian style chicken I ordered came with two sides (Rice and Yuca). The food was tasty. My friend ordered the Lomo Soltado and she liked the taste. Should be good for a quick lunch or dinner.

The wonderful aromas hit you before you even enter the restaurant, so you know you're in for a treat. There's plenty of seating if you want to dine in, but they also do carry out. They have a great menu with many different Peruvian dishes. You can't go wrong with the charbroiled chicken selections, but my favorite is one of their specialties, the Churrasco de Pollo. It is delicious! They also have yummy sides, and the plantains are prepared perfectly. Service is good too. This restaurant is a nice addition to the area, and I will definitely keep going back.
