Wanted to try some pho places I haven't tried and came across this page and review. Some were good and bad, especially the one that found an ant inside their pho. I was iffy about it but went anyway to try and see it myself. The broth was good. Everything was good until I saw a piece of short, black hair that looked like a man's hair in my pho 🤨. My hair is usually long and it was tied up. The service was good, but idk, the food seems to be unhygienic. Might be the last time coming here.

They gave very large portions for the price. The service was great and the attention to detail. You can tell all the food is handmade and the bone marrow is huge!

Good tasting food, but I'm disappointed today, 07/29/2024. I found an ANT floating in my pho! If that wasn't bad enough, I crunched on a pebble/rock (not bones)!!! I've been eating here my whole life. Worst experience I've had so far.

Good foods and clean restaurant!

My hubby loves this place! Because most pho places are far from us on McKinley/First, this place has been our go-to pho when we dont feel like driving all the way to McKinley. They give plenty of meat and their meat choices are the best. They don't give you the dry kind of meat that i just don't eat, and that's what I like. Their broth has been pretty consistent for all the years we've been there. They give you the right amount of pho, so you don't feel like you'll need to stuff yourself and feel bloated afterward. Of course they have that beeg bone marrow dish thats worth a try. We always get the large #1 with extra seafood. Great customer service from all family members. It used to always be more their mom that we see, but through the years, we've noticed her daughter and sons? have been stepping in while the mom takes breaks. I recommend you try this place out.

Great Pho with fast friendly service

Pho is good and prices are decent, if you want the bone marrow, you'll probably have to go early before 12pm because it runs out fast lol. Cons is the space is quite small and gets crowded easily, we waited literally over 15min to get water and get our order in due to short staff unfortunately. The Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk tastes good, although I wish that it come in a bigger cup size for the price because it have alot of ice in it. It's also a hit or miss if you ask for the sweeter side, but the server is great at fixing it. Overall I'll definitely come back for pho, bone marrow and the iced coffee. (:

You need a U haul this place is a perfect place to get one very friendly guy.

Pho broth is really good tasting even without addimg condiments. Pad thai looks and taste amazing. Overall restaurant is well air conditioned given 90 degree June day.

Could have been a 5 star, but I didn't get my full order. The guy was apologetic, but I really wanted to try one of their dish. Service here is friendly and better than most Pho places (I've been to places where it seems like your presence there is an annoyance to them). The Pho here is good; broth was flavorful, and the noodle has the right amount of chewiness yet not stiff. I will try again, and this time, hopefully, they'll give me my dish.

The best pho place around! The staff is extremely welcoming and are checking up on you throughout your meal. I got the number one (large pho). The broth is like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. It is simply perfection. Other reviews have said it and I’ll repeat it; the broth doesn’t need any salt, sauce or lemon - it is perfection just as it is! Ordered the large and felt like I ordered an extra large; you definitely get your money’s worth. I’m usually not a meatball type of guy, but even that was delicious. Best pho I’ve had in California. Y’all deserve more than a 5 star review. Can’t wait to be back in Fresno and eat here again.

This place has been a hit every time I have been here. I always get pho so I cannot speak for their other dishes. However, if their pho is spot on then I am certain all the other dishes are as well. I have been to many pho spots in my life, some good some bad, but here the pho is ALWAYS good. I’ve been places where you NEED to add something for the pho to taste food. Here, it almost feels disrespectful to add something to the broth as I love it the way it is. The amount of everything they give you is really great for the price and I will continue coming here. Definitely a recommend for anyone who wants good pho.

Amazing service and food. Came here back in 2019 and was still as good as ever! Got the combo Pho super size for $15 and the beef bone marrow (Whole Bone) for $5 more which was a super good deal! Delicious and would come back again.

Broth is flavorful without being cloudy, meat is soft and doesn't taste strong. I'm from Visalia and I've been here twice and I'd come again over any pho in Visalia or Tulare. Giant marrow bones that I took home for my dogs afterwards.

Crowded area, but still good to eat

1st time here Place was packed but service was good and fast Pho broth was delicious before adding anything! Size small is not very small so that's a bonus 👍

So far the best broth for Phò that I've tried in Fresno. Excellent flavor and getting the bone marrow on the side is a great addition and treat. I've come several times and it's always good. I will be back for more. I've already got several co-workers addicted.

After a few years absence we came back to Pho Phung and found their Pho broth VERY delicious as they cook with evidenced real bones; the service was excellent; the atmosphere very pleasant and familial. We can easily rate this location A+ or simply 9/10. We'll certainly be back again even though we live far away... One of the best places I’ve eaten Asian Food. I tried spring rolls and beef fried rice, both were GREAT! I highly recommend you pay this place a visit! I promise it will be worth it! Prices are also great!

Best Pho in Fresno! Always need at least a bowl a month to satisfy my pho fix. Always hit the spot because their broth is consistent and delicious without needing to add any additional seasoning, but I'm Hmong, so gotta always add at least some Sriracha, Hoisin, and chili oil.

Pholicious!!! The pho broth is very flavorful, the meat on it is really generous compared to other pho places. Locally Family-Owned Fresno Asian Restaurant. The Bone Marrow- Ohhhlala! Yep, I had to visit the 2nd time just to make the taste is consistent and it is! Mind-Blowing! The Price- super affordable specially with this economy of ours right now 2023. $12 for Large! Cash, I heard they also accept Venmo and Paypal- check with them.

This place is legendary and really lives up to the hype! I've been here many times and everytime the pho is on point. There are a few good pho place in fresno but maybe i might have to go with this as the top spot. The pho broth explodes in your mouth full of flavor in every spoon full. Best price around town for a large bowl of pho. Service is aways great here. Only takes around 5 minutes from ordering to get your bowl of pho. This place isn't a secret anymore but for anyone wanting to try pho or want the best pho, give this place a try, you wont go anywhere else. 😉

I've been eating here since Lao Family of Fresno was still around. I'm not sure if it's still the same old couple operating the restaurant, but this is by far one of the most consistent pho I've ever eaten in my life time.

Delicious food for a very reasonable price. Seating is pick-your-own-table style, so we didn’t have to wait at all, and our food came out quickly. They have three bowl sizes for pho, though portion sizes are pretty large in general. The pho had a lot of meat, which was great, and everything tasted amazing overall. One thing is, keep in mind that the restaurant is cash only.

We were just introduced to this place by a friend and now it's the only place we go to for Pho. It's delicious and the staff are very friendly. They only accept Cash or Cash App so be prepared if your planning a visit.

I honestly thought the broth was good. I normally don’t put anything extra in my broth . I order the seafood pho. More broth than pho noodles but overall decent taste. The only drawback I would say is they only take cash. I really like how they have crushed peanuts.

9-18-2022 My wife and I visited this place during our vacation in Fresno. My wife saw that they serve beef bone and wanted to try it out and good thing we did because it did not disappoint. The pho broth has very good flavor and doesn't need any condiments to go with it. Very few places I've been to that the broth is this good and I can eat it as is. We both had pho and 1 beef bone. Good thing we order only 1 beef bone because the bone is huge. The tendon and meat on the bone are very tender and good. Overall great pho place, broth is great, bone is great. Note: they only accept cash.

Can't believe yelp reviews with 4 1/2 star, this restaurant very dirty and smell, service no no no good, and the old lady so rude, talk bad about customers in Vietnamese (I'm Vietnamese too, I can hear and speak Vietnamese too bichhh) I think she the owner of the this restaurant. See my picture so you can tell what I'm saying I don't trust yelp reviews no more, business owner can pay, they can have good reviews from yelp.

Legit! Coming from a heavy Vietnamese community in Oregon, this is one of the better phos I've had in Fresno.

Excellent services. Pho is pretty good here (broth not water down) and pricing is cheaper than other pho place. The owner of this shop is super friendly and so are her children. Do order the beef bones lol they are fun to eat, but their limited so if you want some do go early, because they do run out.
