Impressive flavor, enjoyable experience, pho was full of meat and everything I like. Perfect date spot or Lunch / Dinner

The food was excellent. My wife and I ordered a couple different appetizers, a red curry, and a yellow curry. We will definitely be going back for more Thai food.

Best Thai and Lao food in the Valley I’ve had. There Pho would rival the best restaurants in the big cities. I’d like to eventually try everything on the menu so I can narrow down my favorites. The restaurants Mascot Scooby is awesome and my daughter absolutely loves him. He’s a small and clean wiener dog so I’m not sure why the occasional person has an issue but anyway yah he’s great. The owners are very friendly and value their customers 5 ⭐️

UPDATE: I bought this food yesterday for lunch. I put the uneaten portion in the fridge. I went to see if could do something with it for dinner, cuz I hate to waste food, but I took a sniff and it was already starting to go bad. I think the reason the vegetables and noodles were overcooked was because they re-heated previously cooked food. I've NEVER had restaurant food start to go bad the next day. Changing my food rating from 2 stars to 1. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was very disappointed with the food I purchased from Pho Vatsana. I last tried it about 3 years ago so my memories of the food then are no longer clear, but I have tried various other Thai restaurants since. I got the Fresh Spring Rolls, Fried Rice w/ chicken, and Drunken Noodles with beef. The Fresh Spring Rolls were the best of the 3. They were thin compared to other spring rolls I have had, but the ingredients were fresh and the sweet sauce gave them flavor. The other dishes smelled great in the car, but were oddly flavorless when we ate them at home. My roommate had the Rice and said it had no flavor. I had the Drunken Noodles and the dish was bland. I've never had Thai food be bland before. The vegetables were over cooked and mushy and the noodles were also overcooked. You pay extra for the beef and they give you plenty but while it was tender, it was not flavorful. I pulled the leftovers from the fridge that evening and tasted the beef. It tasted odd, like it was old meat. It did not taste that way when the dish was hot. I've cooked beef plenty and I've never had it taste bad when it cooled off before. Don't know what cut of beef they used or how old it was, but it doesn't matter, I will not be going back.

This family - just the hardest working family & best food in town. It is real and authentic and fair price. I now go monthly as part of our budget to support them & thank them for being so much more than just a food place.

First time coming here and i absolutely loved it!! I got the Pho Thai and the broth was so flavorful, my boyfriend ordered the “Two golden girls” and that was amazing too. Really big portions and affordable prices. The owner was really friendly and fun to talk to :) definitely recommend this place but DO NOT TAKE THE SPICE LEVELS LIGHTLY. We ordered a level 3/5 and honestly I don’t even want to think about what a 5 would be..

So the guy up front fighting with my husband about how we didn't order correctly even tho when I was on the phone with him seemed to have everything just fine. Arriving, the dog started barking at my husband, and the staff seemed to be very rude. It was a total of $83, and sadly, my husband didn't ask for the receipt, but I had ordered a noodle soup for my child, and on the phone, he never asked if I wanted any meat on it and when the food was picked up we only got 2 out of the 3. When paying, they are forcing a 15-20% tip, which i dont think is nice, and I'll give it if only I had received everything I ordered. Springrolls lettuce was brown like of it was left out for too long with kind of a dish water flavor. Asked for duck noodles, and whatever meat was in there had more not eatable parts than actual meat. Thai Iced tea is the only thing that was delicious:/

Had lunch here today , it was so good! I had the beef pho and my friend had the yellow curry . We shared both our plates which were great portion sizes. The customer service was welcoming and their little dog scooby was so cute. We left full and happy.

Our waiter was the young gentlemen that was very soft spoken (I believe his name was Sam?) but very excellent customer service. We sat at the booth in front of the front desk and listened to the man owner speak disrespectfully and degrading to the young waiter like he was an idiot and didn’t know how to do anything. He was very rude and it was very disappointing to listen to. He snapped his fingers and clapped his hands at the waiter and said “come on! Use your head! Come on spit out what you saying!” That waiter did not deserve that kind of disrespect. The Pho was very good but very salty (I happen to love salt so no complaints) but the chicken fried rice was DISGUSTINGLY mushy. So I have one star just based on that.

Pho hit the spot but I don’t think is their main thing. Thai food was money though

Our waiter was friendly and funny, very enjoyable experience. Their other employee working the tables, Scooby, was a very friendly and enjoyable guy. The food was great, we had the red curry, pho and vegetarian golden egg rolls. All food was served quickly, hot and delicious. Definitely will be back to try more from their menu!!! 10/10 would recommend.

My go to for Thai in Wasilla! Consistent and excellent.

I absolutely loved this place! The food was so good i got the Pho and my husband got pad thai and we loved it, worth the price. The waiter was super friendly and funny and he had the sweetest dog who did really well with my 2 year old. We will definitely be coming back

I am not sure where all the good reviews came from, our experience was far from excellent. However, this is just my experience. The food was not good at all. I got the chicken friend rice and for the first time (at a Thai restaurant ) I was served gooey rice. Our waiter never returned to the table while we were eating to check on us, nor was he pleasant. One word responses. My husband got the beef Pho and he said it was SUPER salty and very sub par. My husband is Filipino and avidly eats pho as it’s one of his favorites, so for him to say it’s salty takes a lot. When we went to pay for our food the waiter asked how everything was and I told him the rice was very gooey and he never responded, not a word. Just charged us 54 bucks for a meal that was not good. I do not recommend this restaurant. The restaurant itself is also very outdated, which isn’t off putting because we love hole in the wall places, however, that combined with the food was disappointing.

Dog is not trained it was growling and barking when we first walked in, so if you have allergy, be weary. The egg roles were like any other Thai place. The yellow curry was good, but the pad Thai wasn't

Nothing like a huge bowl of delicious soup and noodles on a cold day or pickup appetizers for family party.. This place is always a winner!

Rediscovered this place and am very happy to! Used to go here with my family years ago, but I don't frequent it as often because the location is a little out of my way compared to previous living locations. The other reason why I think I hadn't tried it in a while is because on their menu, it doesn't openly say that tofu is an option for curry, it just says choose chicken, pork, beef, or shrimp. But tofu is an option on another menu item so I asked and they were happy to replace it on their Mama's Chicken Curry that I ordered. In the past when I had looked up menus I thought they didn't have tofu as an option so then decided to go somewhere else, but they definitely do have it so anyone that doesn't eat meat or prefers tofu don't skip on this place! They can replace tofu for other dishes as well. We got spring rolls for an appetizer and their spring rolls are some of the better in the valley I think. Their presentation is really nice and the sauce is very good, more on the vinegary tangy side which I prefer over a peanut-y sauce. They also include 8 spring rolls instead of 6 which is nice. They are a little thinner but sometimes that's nice because they're easier to eat. I ordered the Mama's Chicken Curry and replaced chicken with tofu. The flavor of the curry was really good. Rivals my other favorite thai curry in the valley (Pho Lucky). I really need to try their red and green varieties. Plenty of veggies and a big portion enough for 2 meals. My husband got their pad thai and thai tea and really enjoyed it. Their service is really good here too, they are very friendly and prompt. Also they are open on Sunday! I always find myself craving thai food on Sundays but most of the places in the valley aren't open. Highly recommend!

I wasn’t very happy with the payment system as their system couldn’t read my card and they didn’t have a way to manually enter in my cc information. The feeling of the inside was out dated and the pho was a bit bland. I gave 2 stars for their customer friendly greeting but they need to update some things.

The chicken Satay was juicy. The Pho was deep and filling. The (what I'm guessing was) owner was super friendly and very attentive to everyone's needs. I will definitely be going back and checking more of their menu out. Not too bad of a price for Pho. If you're looking for something different, check em out.

Very clean, fast and friendly service!

Finally tried this gem of a restaurant because my daughter wanted to try pho. We had the seafood and traditional, and wow they were great. The seafood pho had a lot of meat, though the scallops were a bit small. The beef pho was very savory. Just a half spoon of the chili sauce was all the bowl needed to get my nose runny and I like like it spicy. Price was a little high, but in 2022 not much to do about that. Service was excellent and personal. The dog, Scooby, was super cool, just don't try to pet him and he'll come to you.

I had the Pad Thai and my friend had the drunken noodle. I enjoyed the flavor of the Pad Thai but the shrimp still had shell tails on them and that's a pet peeve. The drunken noodle wasn't very flavourful but may that dish is supposed to be lighter in taste.

Went with my son. We both ordered the same dish. I had 2 shrimp. He had 4. Count your shrimp.

Stopped by this place on accident and didn’t expect much but the food was delicious. Expect some heat! 🌶 The curries we had were large portions for the size and had tons of flavor. Also the interior was beautifully decorated :) !

Located in a small strip mall, they offer a wide variety of Vietnamese, Thai and other Asian inspired entrees. The food is fresh and flavorful and the serving sizes are reasonable. They serve lunch and dinner however they are closed between 3:00-5:00 pm.

Best pho in town the owners really care about there customers and food is consistent. I won’t get my pho anywhere else. Great job pho vastana

The food and service is amazing. I took my mom there for dinner. She was in town for a few days. It was one of the most wonderful dinners i have had. Noy makes you feel like family.

Best curry I've ever had. Our server was nice and upbeat, the portions were just right for dinner and enough left over for tomorrow's lunch. Good prices. I will be going there again.

This restaurant provides excellent food and service in a pleasant atmosphere. We ordered the Pho Vatsana and Drunken Noodles and both were top notch. This is a place I definitely plan to visit again.

We ate here a few days ago. My husband ordered the Pad Thai and was able to specify the level of spice. It seemed to have a funky flavor..more like a ketchup based flavor. He still ate it and didn’t complain. The quantity was reasonable for the price. Just the flavor was a bit off. I ordered the beef pho. I felt there should have been more meat in the bowl. But it tasted good. The facility was clean and the staff was friendly.

This place has got a traditional Thai vibe. The food was quite tasty. We ordered Fresh veggie spring roll and Khoa pad fried rice. The roll was crispy crunchy, tasty and most importantly less oil. And the fried rice is really tasty with right amount of flavors. They were the right amount for a person. Didn't feel full nor not enough.

Best phó in the valley. The springs rolls were excellent too! My husband got the broccoli beef and that was even good. I would hands down recommend this restaurant if your looking for tasty Asian food.

I specifically have been dragged around to different Pho places with promised expectation, that a place has the best Pho around, all to my dissatisfaction. Until today! My wife and I got their Pho to go and asked for some extra sides and it was actually the best Pho I have ever had! Do it, go here! Mmmhhmmmhhmmmm!

First timer to Pho Vatsana’s but won’t be our last! Casual dinning with great service & excellent food. Tried the Red Curry Chicken & House Pad Thai, both were delicious! Can’t wait to go back & try one of their Duck dishes. Very very good!

Always has great food that is prepared correctly. Always go with friends. They will make it as spicy as you want, but they will warn you if they think you may misunderstand what spicy really means.

I had green bean chicken and egg rolls the beans were cooked al dente and it was flavorful the egg rolls were crisp and I would definitely go there again they have a nice selection of drinks including Thai tea. Family atmisphere.

Ive eaten a lot of pho in my life.. mostly from big city china towns. And this restaurant’s pho broth has to be the most flavorful I’ve ever had. Wow! The meat was a bit lacking (usually you get a pound of meat :) ) but I would still absolutely recommend this place. The Thai ice tea was sooo good!

Quiet place for dinner with consistently yummy curries and appetizers.

Excellent food and the owner is a great host! My personal favorite dish is “mama’s special curry” followed closely by Gang Gai chicken (or coconut chicken soup) which is not on the menu, but they will make it if you ask.
