I came to visit my family and my cousin thought it was a good idea to come here and try pho soup for the first time in my life and I regret it completely, the meat taste like burnt plastic, I WAS NOT PLEASED AT ALL! Don't come here

Had the Bahn Mi (pulled pork) and it was great! Highly recommend! Service didn't refill water, but our food came out pretty quickly and they were fast to take our order. Others at my table said their food was bland (wings and vermicelli).

I had written on the uber eats order no peanuts / no nuts on the order and I ate the meal with chopped up peanuts in the meal and had to admit myself to the hospital. I called them and they did nothing. Negligence ***

Absolutely delicious. We had the chicken pho and beef pho. Fresh ingredients, broth tasted amazing. Already looking forward to visiting again soon.

When I arrived at the restaurant. I was promptly seated and thrown menus. They took about 10 minutes to come back to take my order. The woman then shouted from across the restaurant to confirm what we ordered because she didn’t write it down. They sat us next to some dirty pawn with some fish barely clinging to life, in a booth that had ripped fabric covering it. This really felt like a cafeteria. The staff help all the different tables whenever, as there is no assigned waitor, and there is no communication between them. Uber and DoorDash drivers are pouring into the restaurant and stand in the middle of the restaurant to wait for their orders. And they have bus boy carts cluttered with dishes in between all the tables as well. Just renovate this place to make it look trendy and order like fast food just with table service and I’m sure it’d be a hit. But right now, this ain’t it sweetie. Food was good though.

One of my "go-to" places. They offer rice dishes, soups & noodle dishes. 🍜 There are not many places that make good boba slushies, but they have a really good honeydew one & make really good Vietnamese coffees.

Their pho is yummy but isn't the best I've had. Still a good place to eat pho though!

We ate here so many times this fall and winter loved it, until tonight. Im so irritated now that I have wasted so much money on this place. The food was obviously decent we like their avocado shakes and special pho and the atmosphere was nice, even if it was not as well cleaned as it should be. Tonight the place was being run by three teenagers one girl and two males who talked loud, flirted non-stop and made fun of the customers including our son. The cake topper was when my boyfriend heard one of the boys use the Mexican slang word for vagina while talking to his co-worker/friend. They pretty much shooed us out the door, leaving the check with us almost right after we got our food, didn't refill water and when I walked up to the counter to get some.... the girl brought me water and asked if we wanted boxes when we obviously weren't done. They pumped up the volume of the music like it was a club. I'm all for good music but when going to a place like this you come to expect a certain atmosphere. So done with this place.

The food and service here are so wonderful! I’ve loved the tofu vermicelli bowl incredibly and our family also adores the pad thai noodles. The portions are very generous & delicious, and everyone at the restaurant has been so kind. Can’t wait to return for another meal!

I’ve been here for lunch and dinner for years. Food is great as always and the owner is super friendly. They have quick service even though it’s in the rush hours. Totally recommended!

My favorite pho spot in Vancouver. This location stays fairly busy (good sign), but the service is still quick! The quality of the food is consistently delicious and the service is great. The atmosphere here is better than any other pho place I have experienced in the PDX area.

I am obsessed with fire and have eaten at almost every pho restaurant here in Vancouver. I eat for most likely at a different restaurant at least once a week. I ordered an a P one with extra meatballs when I got it I did not receive the extra meatballs on my receipts. I was showing extra meatballs and there’s it shows something else. When I opened up my phone, I had literally three cut pieces of meatball. That was it not even a whole meatball just three little pieces of meatball in my thing. The other meat that I got was literally to thin pieces. lean brisket and that was it. I did not receive any chili sauce or anything like that except for the what I called purple sauce. When I called to let them know about the order, she argued back with me that her receipts showed something different. Normally it wouldn’t be a big deal as if I would had my other meatballs but the picture I am showing I have never received this amount of meatballs and any other fuss I have over ordered. I would recommend checking out another for venue as they have more for your bang for your buck for $17. I really am not impressed. Again I have never seen just to three tiny cut pieces no matter where I have ordered. There was no need to try to make it correct to say hey do you want to come pick up a side of meatballs real quick cause I only live a couple minutes away they were not trying to fix or come up with any type of solution. I let Uber eats know the situation, and they were willing to take and fix it right away. I almost never leave reviews but this time I felt like this was slightly crazy not to you again. I would recommend checking out some of the other pho places around this area as you’ll get more for your buck. It won’t let me add one on Yelp

Edit: There might be a new chef in the recent weeks. The vegetarian pho and stir fry noodles have become quite oily and salty. There were fewer pieces of veggies, the tofu and mushrooms were stale. We've been coming here for years, and this is very disappointing. Original --------- Vegetarian Pho and vegetable noodles were both absolutely delicious!! Will be back again!!

We enjoyed our soup and the crispy egg rolls. The spicy soup bun bo hue was very yummy. We will probably go back to try some vermicelli plates and bahn mi.

This is only a review for the Pho Thai, because that's all I ever get. This is my favorite Pho Thai in Vancouver. + Meat isn't cooked before hand. + Healthy helping of additives.

The Potstickers were excellent. The chicken curry soup was a bit bland. Very nice people, but they were a bit disorganized.

I have eaten here more times that I could count. The bun, cabbage salad, wings, and pho are all wonderful! the spring rolls are good. I will say- My mom and ordered pad Thai and yellow curry last time we went out I would recommend you get neither. Order Vietnamese food. Leave the Thai food for a Thai place lol. Bland, not a good texture for the pad Thai and the curry very well have been made from golden curry cubes. It wasn’t bad by any means but absolutely unremarkable.

They take forever! On top of that they make smart remarks to eachother about the customers and delivery drivers like we can't hear them at all! Totally disrespectful and not professional at all

I got two dishes, and this was my first time going to this restaurant. I have to say they could have it a little more together. The chicken pad thai was ok but a little lacking in flavor. The spicy soup (bun bo hue) was amazing. If i was just reviewing that soup 5 stars. The service was lacking some, and they don't have half portions. I would like to be able to order multiple items without braking the bank and having so much to take home. In the end, I'm glad I have some soup to take home because it was money. I also ordered a drink that was forgotten so again the service could be a little better. The staff was super friendly. I would come back for sure.

Simply delicious pho. The vegetarian broth is mushroom based and super tasty. Service was genuine and helpful. Order at tables and pay up front, was a seamless and delicious experience!

Consistently good food and service. It's in a mini mall, so it can be a challenge to spot. It's definitely worth the effort.

This is one of my regulars for take out for Chicken Pho. It is SO good.

Overall solid restaurant with all the staples and a couple dishes I have not seen elsewhere. Definitely nicer ambience than most of the small shops around. We had the banh mi, bun bo hue, bun dac biet, and satay soup. All good dishes. Good spice level as well on the soups. The meats all had excellent flavor, the noodles were a touch soft for our liking but not mushy. Went during peak dinner time, service was a little slow, but very friendly and food was quick.

The best Pho ever! The broth is perfect! Usually order Shrimp or Chicken Pho and the salad rolls. Very nice portions

The dine in service is hit or miss. I just look at it like there still building there team. They have a Pippen w/o Jordan. Kobe w/o Shaq. You get the idea. Otherwise there pho is delicious.

Why the pho would you go anywhere else?

Simple place with quick and efficient service and a substantial set of Vietnamese offerings in their menu. I like the flavors of their Banh Mi, especially with the lemongrass chicken inside.

Best meal I’ve had in a while! The N7 was out of this world flavorful. Perfect amount of sweet, salty and spicy. Will be ordering from here again. Great service, super friendly

I think ceramic or stainless steel bowls, spoons, and chopsticks would be better. The food is delicious!

Guy was really rude and grabbed my food because he missed places an item in my to go

I don’t know who took over but this place is so trash for customer service. Twice I’ve come here and been left seated for 20 plus minutes. No drink, no order taken nothing. Today, we came in again. Seated with tea. We asked for honey or sugar, he walked away and didn’t return. There was a chick who said she’d be with us in a minute then proceeded to argue with the young man in front of us about how she’s not gonna help us because she’s technically still on her lunch. Of course, he argued back. We left. We will never in life be back and this use to be our spot.

Food is ok but service is horrible. Servers are rude and customer service is non-existent in this place. I actually went twice willing to give them a chance but the 2nd time is much worst. A friend of mine also tried them and told me she is never coming back. No food is worth the bad treatment I got from this place. Never coming back. Taking my business somewhere else.

Unfortunately every time we come here we never get a picture of the food because it smells and tastes soooooo good that we end up devouring it before we remember. Highly recommend!!! The broth is SUPER flavorful!

Stopped for lunch. Had chicken potstickers for an appetizer and spicy beef soup for me, grilled chicken for my partner. Great service, the food was fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend.

Overall I would have to say I will be coming back this was Authentic Pho as well as there must try Pad Tai if you dare ask for it spicy but I do warn you, your insides will burn but very delicious. I recommend if it's your first time trying Pho. Service was rather great. Very attentive and accommodating. My wife highly recommended the Thai tea, a bit pricey but worth every penny.

My wife declared Pho Vi Van to be her favorite restaurant in Vancouver after our first visit. She got the grilled chicken vermicelli. So there you go.

Pho vi van has a number of vegetarian and vegan items. Both the veggie pho and veggie spicy noodle soup are delicious and large portions. The tofu bahn mi is also amazing but you need to order it without mayo to make it vegan. The tofu salad rolls are also great.

This is my second time at Pho Vi Vân and I am completely sold. We’ve had the P3 Pho (round steak), the potstickers, and the tofu yellow curry. It treats you to food that is clearly made with love. Don’t come in with white people customer service expectations. That’s not to say they don’t care, they are simply busy and focused on the food they bring to your table.

Host made sure to have the right order and had our drinks right away. Sandwiches are amazing, bread was delicious. Noodle soup was great, paired with Thai tea was a wonderful treat.

The pho was extremely bland. We were never served our eggrolls, and I had to ask for water, and when I asked for silverware and chopsticks we waited for 15mins then I asked for tea and was completely ignored. Everyone else around us was well served and not ignored. I will not recommend or return to this place.

Been here a few times since it's one of my grandma's favorite restaurants, the food is great!

It was a busy night, but the actual pho was bland and served without silverware, napkins, or toppings. Our order of egg rolls never came to the table, but it was still on the bill, and service was slow and not very good at all. I came because of the rave reviews online. I just received the opposite of what they all said was good.

It was ok, but really not a great value. The staff are all nice and pho is decent, but prices seem quite high and the portions are not as generous as one would expect at that price. The place was way cold too.... The server had a down coat on.

Zero stars is more accurate! The best thing that I ate here was the bean sprouts that were the garnish! We came as 2 families of 4 or 5 people. One of our families was finished eating before the other got their food! My daughter and I shared the short ribs and we ended up eating chipped bone pieces that were hidden in the meat. I saw one of the bones that were visible missing a chunk of the bone! The iced coffee was the only thing I would ever order there ever again!!! That's only if I were forced to go in there again!

Usually I love this place, and would typically give it 5 stars, but today their service was poor. We had a group of 9 people and half our party didn't receive their order until the other half of had already finished eating their entire meals. It felt horribly awkward to eat while our friends waited for their meal. I can understand back ups in the kitchen or maybe being short staffed but if you serve half a party, and not the other half, that's extremely inconsiderate. They were already helping new customers while we had ordered before they had even arrived. Bad service today.

Have been to this place countless time and their food quality is top notch. One of the best pho places around. Also, as a boba tea fan, their Thai boba tea is definitely the best you can find around Vancouver-Portland 🥰 food and drinks always taste fresh and the servers are rly friendly. Highly recommended.

Best vegetarian pho and best tofu I’ve had in the metro area. I am soooo happy this place exists. Edit: went downhill. Soooo salty it’s inedible.

Very rude staff. We asked for a booth and they said no and then gave it to another couple 2 minutes later and then said we could move if we wanted. Woman who checked us out was only nice when we paid

Absolutely my family’s favorite Pho place. It gets busy, but that’s an indication of how good they are. The broth is superb! One of my favorite things is their ribs bún, spring rolls, and their Thai ice tea. Simply delicious! We have been going here for years.

The three of us had a great meal. Arrived late, but they stayed open just for us! The Pad Tai was great. Yum! Service was excellent! We will be back!

I had the spicy vegetarian noodle soup and it was delicious. But my husband is a plain eater and had the order of pork rolls and asked for a side of fried rice. $10 for a side of fried rice. Just rice, egg, and seasoning. You go anywhere else to order fried rice with shrimp or chicken and you are paying less and/or getting a much larger portion. We said nothing and left a 15% tip. But that was insane to be charged $10 for such a small portion of fried rice.

Waste of money!! Utterly disappointed!!! I never leave reviews but this was NOT good. I went because of the reviews. First it was not busy, we were seated and waited over 15 minutes just for a menu. Almost walked out and went somewhere else. Wish we would have. We ordered 3 items. The wings - were over cooked / dry, not bad but not good either $12!!! for ONLY 5 tiny pieces. See pic. And two salad rolls that were filled with nothing but filler. No flavor - see pic. The house fried rice was okay, nothing memorable and bland. $40 total (no drinks) Nope …. Try any other place

No customer service at all, pricy for its portion compare to near by pho restaurants. Just need to drive extra 5 min. Never return and never would recommend.

A lot of the items on the menu are just ho hum Americanized Vietnamese dishes ... Some are really good like the satay noodle soup.... All of them lack spice and aren't nearly hot (spicy) enough, even the dishes marked as spicy. Decent food, but I was overcharged $4.50 for some reason, so check your receipts!

This is my go to spot when im craving pho! Quick, friendly service, fair priced. Worth every penny.

in my opinion one of the best pho places in the area. right across the street from fred meyer and new seasons a quick spot for good food edit 5 months later: no longer good, guess turnover rate was higher than i thought because no one that i know is there anymore. also gave the the wrong food. i asked for pork but received chicken edit about 1 week later: terrible service, waited 20 minutes to be served and waited another 20 for my food. i ordered a KIDS SIZE pho which should not take long. the restaurant was absolutely DEAD and yet it took forever for the food to come out. not only that while i was waiting for my food the manager, i assume she is, was yelling at the top of her lungs at a doordash driver

This continues to be my family's go to for Vietnamese the past several years. Very accomodating to vegans. They have let me remove egg from fried rice, etc. I love the vegetarian pho and peanut satay soup. Tofu cabbage salad was also refreshing and delicious. Gotta show some love to this place! I am just not a Pho guy. But I have tried it before and this place is just fair. They do hustle to get your food to you and there seems to be good portions. No, they weren't wearing masks, but that's their choice.

Overall good. I bought the bahn mi with tofu and a Vietnamese iced coffee, this was 14$. The older Vietnamese guy at the register was very nice and helpful. The sandwich was excellent and had plenty of sauce, which is great, because a dry sandwich is the worst. They put the sliced jalapenos on the side, so you don't have to dig them out if you don't like spicy. The iced coffee was super strong, which is great, but was too sweet for my liking, I still drank it but next time will ask for less sugar. Will come back and try the pho soup next time.

Best I've found in da couve. A favorite on my list, for sure. Excellent, fresh food and very friendly staff. Consistent high quality and reasonably priced Viet Namese cuisine. The pho is delicious of course. That soup just makes you feel good. The vermicelli bowls are nice. I like the grilled pork and egg roll version. The rice plates are also very good. Various boba teas, smoothie drinks are done well here too. They have all the good things, excellent food, pleasant and efficient staff. Thank you for the great meals, Pho Vi Van!

Original Post: Best pho in Vancouver! 4/2022 Update: Definitely no longer the best in the ‘Couve. That honor goes to Pho Tôn on 4th Plain. Has been for years.

This place normally has pretty good food. I was a little disappointed that the sweet potatoes in my chicken curry were still frozen on the inside and left me to question the quality of what I had been served. Additionally, the sliced meat in our salad roll tasted somewhat old. I am hoping this was just an off day for them and not signs of lesser quality. Their sesame balls are crazy good though.

Food was wonderful, service was attentive and friendly.

Spicy soup is something special

Very good pho, bun bo hue, and grilled chicken dish, second only to pho van in my eyes. Their egg rolls are maybe the best I've had in a restaurant.

Our food was SO delicious & fresh. The atmosphere was comfortable and the employees seemed genuinely happy to be there. The Pad Thai & the Pho were unbelievable. We're from out of town & really lucked out finding this place. 10/10, would absolutely recommend checking out this gem!

My go to pho restaurant in the east side of the couve. Always consistently good. Salad rolls were still moist instead of cracking and dry i sometimes get served at other places. Served fast and hot!

Been here multiple times throughout the years, my favorite Pho place in Vancouver hands down. Usually get the Pho but the Bun bo Hue, Com, and Bahn Mi are all top notch too.
