This food is so good! Great prices & large portions! Blows my mind that you can always get a table!

We made our way up to Gilbert specifically for the Hummus! We got the trio of course and got the Philly Chicken sandwich. So ultra seasoned to perfection. The hummus is soooo creamy and smooth and delicious

Hummus and falafel were outstanding. Entrees took forever because the cook apparently did not receive order. Was told by server the other cook clocked out at 2 and never came back. What really bothered us was the server was wearing rubber gloves. He was serving, cashiering, and cleaning tables and counter. That’s very unsanitary. But the worst part was him using one rag to clean tables , counter , and then wiping down the ketchup bottles. Absolutely disgusting.

I was so excited to try this place judging by the reviews. But the food they served me was old. The gyro had a really dried out texture and we all had terrible stomach aches after we went to bed. It’s the only thing we ate all day. The hummus had a bit of rancid taste. And the rice was heavy on the vinegar and very clumpy stuck together. Pita bread was stale. I’m confident that this food was made 3-4 days prior and was not fresh. Very disappointing because I had such great expectations.

Phoenicia has been one of my fave restaurants for 10 years now . I am always craving the wonderful food there. Everything there is delicious and mouthwatering. New scrumptious items have been added to menu like the yummy Hummuskingburger. All of the different flavors come together in this flavorful burger. Pair that with the flavorful Greek French fries and you got yourself a yummy meal. I always have to order a small hummus and the dolmades for my appetizers. I wish the owner Fouad would sell their hummus in stores bc it is honestly the best hummus around. I would eat Phoenicia everyday if I could bc it is healthy and fresh. The food is so amazing, but equal to that is the service. Ryan and Nick are the kindest guys who will guide you with what to order and explain the ingredients to you. They always have a smile on their faces. The owners Fouad and Sylvia are the sweetest people around. Sylvia always greets me with a hug. ♥️You definitely feel like you are stepping into their home for a delicious home cooked meal when you eat there. No other Mediterranean restaurant in town measures up to Phoenicia. Believe me, I have tried a lot of them. Go try Phoenicia!

Service is always good. The food is always excellent. The tabouli salad is The best I've had in the valley. If you love Mediterranean food, this is my go-to place.

We have been coming to Phoenicia for close to 20 years! Even after moving to another state, Phoenicia is our first stop when we come back to Gilbert. The owners are amazing people who have treated us like family from the first time we walked in the door. You absolutely must order the Greek fries and their Gyros are so delicious! And lets not forget the Hummus… its THE BEST we have ever had, and believe me, we’ve tried a lot! Everything we have ever had on the menu is so delicious and fresh. If you are a fan of Baklava you’re in luck! They have several mouth watering options to choose from and all of them are so tasty. Phoenicia is hands down our favorite local spot. Stop in and check them out, you’ll be glad you did!

My husband and I enjoyed a shareable platter intended for two people for lunch and there was enough food to feed 4 adults! It was a great way to sample the different options. We are not experienced when it comes to Mediterranean food but they made us feel welcomed and they were more than willing to answer questions and share their knowledge. Furthermore we enjoyed chatting with the kind owner and staff while receiving the best service. We cannot wait to come back to this quality family restaurant.

Let’s just start off by saying amazing amazing customer service. As soon as me and my boyfriend walked in we were greeted with a smile and seated right away. It was my first time trying Greek food and let me just say this spot was definitely the place to be! My boyfriend brought me here and it will most definitely won’t be the last. The food was truly amazing. And it came out fresh and right away. This place gives you an at home feeling and i absolutely enjoyed the overall service. Ryan was serving us and he had such great energy! As well as Sylvia!!!! The sweetest soul. I adore how sweet everyone was. I believe that customer service has a lot to do with the dine in experience, and I give them an 11/10. Will definitely be coming back. If you want good food, good company, and just an overall good time, this is the place to be. Thank you again for such a good experience! 🥹💗

I've been here a half-dozen times and I've never had a subpar item. EVERYTHING IS FRESH AND DELICIOUS. I recommend coming with a group and ordering a bunch of things to share. My favorites are the chicken shawarma, basmati rice, falafel, hummus, and I always leave room for baklava! The people working here are warm, fun and friendly to kids.

I can't say enough about this place! It's amazing! The food, the staff, the cleanliness - all amazing. I know everyone says this, but they really do treat you like family. We've been going here for a few years now, and we have honestly never had a bad experience. In fact, we've never hard just an "okay" experience. It's always been great. If you don't check it out once, you're just missing out. Literally our favorite place to eat in Arizona.

Fantastic Gyro, sauce was delicious. Fries were made fresh for the order. The soda had a proper amount of syrup to water ratio. If that is not enough to get you in, the service was great. Greeted with a smile at the door and again when leaving. We will be back for sure.

We visited this particular restaurant to compare their menu with their neighbors' options. The restaurant was clean. The products looked very good and were displayed nicely. We went with the other business for dinner just due to the options they had. If time allowed, I would've tried them.

Food is no where close to the Tempe taste. I suppose not mean the food taste was not good, but it's only or personal preference. We love the items which are served at the Tempe branch and have been going there for over 20 years. Today was the first time at the Gilbert location. People are great, and I am sure the food is perfectly according to people preferences of that location. So plz don't take me review as negative, is just that we didn't like it.

Wow, amazing middle eastern food great service

Walked into this place on a whim to support local instead of Chipotle or Pei Wei next-door. I was pleasantly surprised. Ryan was great and gave me a free garlic pita, which was so fluffy and delicious! The chicken Shawarma was so good and fresh, and the rice was so flavorful and not dry. I think the most notable part of this visit was Ryan, however. He was very kind and pleasant! I’m happy I happened upon this place and will be coming back with my husband for the rack of lamb. Update 1/7/23: came back with my husband, and we got the lamb entree a dolma to start. We met the owner, Sylvia, and now I love this place even more.

This is our favorite Greek restaurant. We drive about 75 minutes to get to it. When we go to Phoenix this is usually our go to for lunch.

I love this restaurant! I’ve eaten here several times and I have yet to be disappointed. The staff is always working hard, they’re efficient and they’re friendly. The food comes out hot and delicious. It’s a very casual place and it’s always been clean. My husband and I favor the gyro platter so we had those last night but we also ordered Greek fries to give them a shot. Glad we did! We were both impressed. We had so much left over from our gyro platters we had enough left overs for an entire meal the next day. The servings are generous!

A family favorite. We love this place and always have a good experience. They have the best Greek Fries with Gyro meat, everr! The sauce on the fries is our favorite. We also LOVE the lamb shank, Gyro plate, Shrimp dish, Greek salad, and so much more. Their baklava is spot on, as well! Thanks guys.

Run, don't walk. This has by far been my favorite place to come to, the food is spectacular and you will leave with leftovers, as you can see from my photo, I could not stuff another bite into my mouth and I barely made a dent. I ordered the Mix Shawarma Platter & the Dolmades - one Platter would have been enough for 2 people - The Hummas & Greek Fries as the two sides make the perfect pairing But what sets this restaurant apart is the staff. Silvia and her team are incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to make recommendations or answer any questions you might have. They truly go above and beyond to make sure that every guest feels welcome and well taken care of. All in all, I can't recommend this place enough. So why wait? Run, don't walk, to experience the amazing food and hospitality that this place has to offer!

Solid mediocre. Americanized mediterranean not awful just okay. My chicken shawarma wrap was enormous, I only ate half of it n tossed the rest. We'll look elsewhere for our mediterranean fix.

Went to this place not long ago while I was visiting my family in Arizona, by far the best food ever! Everyone from the staff is amazing, the food is delicious as always and the place is very clean. Now being stationed in Fort Irwin California I wish the would fly meal plans out here! I would definitely order them!

This was our first time at this location, and we came in for dinner with our family that’s visiting. It completely blew us out of the water! The food was so delicious, everything seasoned beautifully and made to perfection. Our server (name on the receipt was Sylvia B) was very knowledgeable and on top of everything for us, and was definitely a really awesome server! We had someone who has a gluten allergy and they were very helpful in those restrictions! Overall fantastic food, awesome server and very cozy atmosphere! Definitely a gem to find and will be returning :)

Busy time on a Sunday so getting a table for 3 adults 2 kids took a good long time, over 20 minutes and without somewhere to stand out of the way. After it slowed down we were seated. Food was fresh and flavorful. Checking on us having enough water didn't happen, we had to ask. All over good food though

Our 40+ friends group goes here for dinner or lunch, I like the Chicken Kabob platter with the salad and rice. We order the hummus appetizer. Yummy food no pics cause we ate it all so fast. We even take a to go for grandma and grandpa our babysitters.

We do really like the food and eat here a lot, it's one of our favorites. Although we always have to ask for more pita bread with the large hummus, since there is not enough (which is an upcharge). The service could be better, too. Little things like if you order salad as a side dish they don't ask you what type of salad, so if you want Greek salad you better specify and it's an upcharge. Extra sauce - upcharge. Last Sunday with our order the rice was plain white instead of yellow as always. We thought it was a mistake, because they did not mention it. We called back and they said they were out of Tumeric, so this was unavoidable, and sorry they did not mention it because the chef did not tell the server who took our order. The menus haven't had the correct prices for some time, just a general note about prices higher $1-$3. I also find it strange that you must pay at the counter when dining in but they don't give you a bill first. Many diners or casual places will have you pay at the counter but they give you a bill/check first so you can see what you were charged for. But here you walk up to the counter and they verbally tell you the total, and you must ask to see the bill if you want to when you are standing there at the counter being watched by the waiter, and it's just all wrong. Please change this system, it's too weird. Just give people a bill to look at.

We were excited to try the food based on the good reviews but compared to other Greek restaurants, this was a disappointment. The meat was dry and chewy. Rice and pita were also dry and seemed to be store bought or out of a box. Fries were soggy. The sauce tasted rancid. When the server checked on us, we politely let the server know about the issues. Instead of genuinely listening to the concerns and taking feedback, he basically gaslit us and tried to make it seem like we were the problem and not the food. The rest of the staff seems to dislike working there too. I’m not sure what happened that day but the experience was bad enough for us to not finish our food and not ever come back again.

Forgive me ya'll! I had actually visited here in early July, but forgot to leave a fantastic review since! 😅 My wife and I were from out of town, and we were SO excited to try the Gilbert's Pizza as we saw it on DDD, but when we got there, we saw it was closed. We were about to leave and was pretty bummed, and as we were leaving, my wife saw this place and told me she had never had Greek food before. I was starving, and wasn't really caring, so I decided to just take her to get her "first time" out of the way. Wow. I was blown away from how amazing the food was. I normally don't care for greek food, as I am a lover of BBQ and pizza, but this is the BEST greek food that I have EVER come across. If my wife and I return to AZ, we WILL return here. The service was excellent, food was terrific, and the shawarma, holy cow, that shawarma... These guys deserve MORE than 5 stars in my book! 😁
