Food and staff were excellent. Highly recommend.

Phoenician Restaurant is a great restaurant it provides excel home cooked meals, great customer service, and atmosphere. That service is the same in Michaels Function hall. Attended many functions excellent service, and excellent prices/portions. I highly recommend the Phoenician Restaurant, and Michaels Function Hall.

The hostess needs to loose the gum. Also customer came in for pick-up and said thank you ..she said ya. Not a good first impression. Food was ok.

The restaurant looked professional online and the inside did have nice decor, but that is sadly where the positives ended. The quality of our meal was very poor. We were served frozen mixed vegetables, the lamb and steak appeared to have not been seasoned at all and tasted very bland, the haddock was over salted in parts to the level that it wasn’t edible. My son ordered clam chowder and it appeared to me that it had been microwaved because there was a circle of soup raised above the soup line all the way around the bowl from what I believe was the soup bubbling up in the microwave. Perhaps the chef was out sick the day we were there because the quality of the cooking was not restaurant level. The service was also a disappointment. Although there was only one other party and two servers present, we waited a very long time to be able to order. The waitress was friendly but appeared to be unaware of time. After taking our drink order she left for about 30 minutes before bringing our drinks. She and the other server were preoccupied with the other party who seemed to want to pay on multiple checks. It took a very long time for them to complete this task together, and I began wondering if she had forgotten that she had never taken our order. I tried to catch her eye serval times but she didn’t seem aware of us. When she finally took our order, she didn’t apologize for the long wait or give any reason. She appeared blissfully unaware of how much time we had been waiting for our drinks or that we might want to complete our dinner at a decent hour. We had to request water refills. In the end our dinner from arrival to finish took 2 hours, which wasn’t what we wanted or expected and we paid $20-$30 per person for meals that were unreasonably low quality for a restaurant. We won’t be returning.

The Lamb Kabob was so tough with gristle the steak knife would not cut it and it was not possible to chew it. A waste of $29. The au jus around the Prime Rib was So salty that it made eating the meat a wasted experience. Spent $100 for nothing. It was our first time to this restaurant but will be our last. Server Brook was nice and left her a large tip as the food was not her fault.

We’ve been a few times over the last 20-ish years. We’ve had my grandparents 50th and 60th wedding anniversary dinner there where there’s 40-ish of us. The service is always amazing, everyone is so nice and the food is phenomenal! The prime rib is the best but the seafood is also amazing! It’s a real treat every time we go!

Where’s the walnut stuffing and French fries not the same. No lamb chops or prime rib. Had the lobster pie,plenty of lobster but stuffing very pasty. Kind of dissapointed. Waiter was very attentive. Will get back on Mediterranean platter for takeout.

Just threw a surprise party there with 65 people. Food and staff were absolutely phenomenal! We definitely picked the right venue. All our guests raved about “The Phoenician.” So grateful to this restaurant, for pulling off an amazing, unforgettable day.

Maybe the best blackened chicken I’ve ever had! This place is a hidden gem.

Staff is great and food is delicious! What more can I say, love this place! The proprietor of the establishment, Bassam, is a class Act. Friendly and professional, He often makes the rounds in the dining room to check in on his customers.

Great prime rib, as usual. This place has always had great food. It has been a few years since I updated my review. My wife and I go monthly and we have not been disappointed yet. The consistency and quality is just a norm for the Phoenician Restaurant. Wait staff is great and then there is Bassam (the owner) he never passes by without stopping to say hello snd welcome us back and thank us for coming in. You can’t go wrong.

The food was delicious and authentic Mediterranean dishes. We got both the large and medium assortment platters. Everything was good. The only negative comment would be the lamb skewers were too tough to cut or chew. I’d go back in a heartbeat but not order the lamb. Grape leaves and Cousa were perfect.

Amazing prime rib, cooked pink and perfect just the way I like it. Love that the restaurant owner Bassam works the room saying hello to guests like Abe and Joey did at Bishops. Very old fashioned and fun. I don’t get out to eat much but when I do I go here, for the classic experience.

Ok so still here. If I base my visit on first Impression I have to give a -0. For the bar tender. Scary !!! No personality . Was afraid to ask about the menu items. I don’t get the impression she is happy to be here or actually anywhere . 5pm 01/26

Good food! Friendly staff! Felt a bit rushed though...it was Christmas Eve to clarify. Maybe it was the calm before the storm. Overall I would go again on a random weekend.

Heaping portions of authentic food. Found my favorite libation in an atmosphere that was warm and welcoming! My new favorite go-to for amazing food.

Overall the meals we had were spectacular. The lamb however was disappointing. Waiter and staff excellent as always

Highly recommend using the Phoenician for catering desserts! I ordered baklava, date cookies and sesame cookies for my wedding and they were DELICIOUS! There was not one leftover and everyone loved them. I ordered through Micheline and the process was very smooth. The family is extremely kind and accommodating! 10/10!

Went exclusively for the prime rib. Had the king cut and was so.juicy and tender. Went with wife son and daughter in law. Will travel 1 hr for such a Great cut of beef

Just went over the weekend, November 7th food was AWEFUL, Not cooked properly, sent a rare piece of filet back , then came back blackened , Cold food , waitress made us feel uncomfortable and rushed, second time this year bad meal sorry to say , And still spent $600

Food was served buffet style and beef and fish and mashed potatoes were cold not even warm.

Not being able to get wraps at dinner is ridiculous. What's the difference if it's 3pm or 6pm. Put it on the dinner menu and increase the price like other restaurants. People expect to pay more at dinner. I feel like all the Mediterranean restaurants are doing this silly thing. 😡. Very frustrating! I still like it there but now I don't go as often since I can't get a wrap at 630pm.

Family has been coming here for a long time but my first return since the update. The service was on another level with Ryan being so ontop of everything. The food portions were plentiful and delicious. Get the baked Alaska to end the meal its worth it !

This is a good restaurant for genuine Middle Eastern (Lebanese) food. The portions are generous. For the American food, the quality is good and the quantity is adequate.

My steak was rare and I asked for med well also fr fr tasted like they were sitting under a heating lamp. I was not pleased with my meal.

Reviews and menu looked good. Actually experience was a dud. Started off with a waiter who proved to be totally incompetent: no memory, wrote down the wrong orders, brought the wrong orders, etc. Menu proved confusing---'mid-East Specialties' looked like appetizers---then came as a meal for 2 or 3. And not that good (lots of Lima beans). Out of the clams. I tried the mushrooms stuffed with their 'famous walnut stuffing'. Stuffing not so good or famous. Guess it's an acquired taste. Stopped after eating 2 of the 8. My son tried the raw Kibbee--he's an ultimate carnivore so likes raw meat. Said it was good but there was way too much (and he had the 'small' plate). My wife had ordered the Phoenician Shrimp as an appetizer---instead was served the main dish Baked Stuffed Shrimp with the Walnut Stuffing again. My son played it safe after he was told there was no Salmon Princess available and opted for three lamb chops. Hard to ruin. I ordered the Surf & Turf Shrimp (yeah, with that Walnut Stuffinf again) and prime rib. Waiter screwed up again and just brought the Prime Rib (not sure he ever read the menu). Way too much food for each course---with matching prices. Fair wine list. Good beer selection, bottles only, no draft. Had to beg waiter for water. High noise level, not a place for a quiet dinner. This place is off our list. There are many better in this area.

We walked in around 6 PM and sat right down. There were too many issues to list here. It started right off the bat with lukewarm tea. The lamb and tenderloin were both tough. The meals were not hot from the rice to the meats , terrible. Even the salad dressing tasted like salad oil and nothing else. The carrots were waterlogged, and had no seasoning or butter on them, they tasted like frozen vegetables. I would’ve sent everything back but my dinner companion did not want to be embarrassed. We chose The Phoenician for our mercy meal and had about 150 people. The room was set up beautifully. I’ve been dining at the Phoenician since 2002 and have known the family who runs the place for quite some time. They genuinely care about the quality of their food and service. We usually are very pleased with the friendly staff here. We looked on internet to find it would open at 12:00 for Mother’s Day. I have been going to this restaurant for years (all the way back to childhood when it was Bishops in Lawrence). I was surprised to read some of the poor reviews because I've probably eaten here a hundred times and had only one meal I was disappointed in (overcooked prime rib - once). Went last Saturday night. Started with the baked stuffed clams - as good as ever. Everyone I was with had either Prime Rib or Prime Rib Surf and Turf. This place has the best prime rib - always a huge cut. Comes with a nice house salad and I always get the french fries - they are the best. Service was good too. I'll keep coming back.

The Arabic special plate is the best anywhere. Purchased 2 large tins to go with stuffed squash instead of peppers. Got home and found 6 stuffed peppers, no squash. They opened at 4:00 pm. Told to pick up at 4:30. Order wasn't ready until 5:00. 4 stars is being very generous since it wasn't ready on time. No butter for the bread and they screwed up the order. Stuffed cabbage trays are awesome!! At least 18 large pieces for like $18. Delicious and it comes with fresh pita bread and lemon. Love it!
