Rude employees pretty much threw my food at me and walked away food wasn’t even good for the price

Delicious food and wonderful service!

I eat here chicken on store open hours and it was taste old I am pretty sure chicken left over from previous day.

My experience was amazing as well as the food! Joselyn, Jose & Sandra made my visit AWESOME!

Omg! I order a ceviche no spicy and the woman told me it is just medium spice or spicy 🌶️ DAMMMMM I order medium spicy 🌶️ It is sooooo spicy 🌶️ Terrible 😢 They passed! Too spicy 🔥 you can't eat no more than 2 tablespoons Disappointed and ordered as little spicy as possible But I have never had a ceviche so spicy.

I came back after a while and ordered a lomo saltado for me and a quarter of a chicken for my 4-year-old boy. The lomo saltado was very salty, the tomato was cold and the meat was very bad. I let the waitress know whose fault it is not, but I wouldn't go back.

Not impressed. I'm giving it 2 stars because the yuca fries and chicken were a solid 3 1/2. The anticuchos tasted like beef liver, too well done (dry) and under seasoned- nothing like Lima. Papa rellena was descent, but a bit watery- otherwise tasty. Lomo saltado, meat was dry- gave it to my dog and was left with fries, tomato and rice. If i'm ever in the area, i'll just stick to the chicken and yuca fries.

Warning ⚠️⚠️ my wife order a leche de tigre and she found a piece of glass in her plate and she cut her cheeks by chewing the piece of glass.... The manager Oscar Janssen at that moment looked like he was worried about my wife's condition ( but not really ) he gave me an incident report letter I took her to the emergency room at a nearby hospital so bills came in about a month... so called picca for the reimbursement of the bills only but OMG Oscar had a completely different attitude and rude( totally different person ) the we call the insurance but they said that was not active or the manager gave me the wrong one ... I called them back and a lady from picca HR ( human resource ) didn't want to give a new insurance be careful with this restaurant they care less....and DOUBLE CHECK THE FOOD BEFORE EATING... absolutely I'm going forward with this issue...

My friend ordered a Leche de Tigre and it came with a large glass that almost died. This restaurant is so negligent that it doesn't even have insurance, and they don't want to pay for medical expenses and other expenses. Be careful, this restaurant doesn't handle food well.

Went here on Sunday at 5 PM with my husband and daughter. Husband had pollo saltado. He ate nothing after our dinner. At 3 AM he woke up with excruciating stomach pain, diarrhea, nausea, fever, and chills. It has not stopped yet. He had to go to urgent care and they said it was food poisoning. He has missed two days of work so far because he is so sick and hasn’t been able to keep anything down. We paid $80 for my husband to be extremely sick and miss two days of work because of food poisoning from this establishment. We are NEVER coming back here ever and I would urge everyone else to do the same!

Nice place to eat, however the plating for the Lomo Saltado was a huge pile of rice and fries and handfull of meat also the ceviche mix with water and lime l, the amount of ceviche was small. They charged for each plate over 20 bucks, so I was expecting more meat and fish.

The food is good worth your money. Try the chicken fried rice and the Brussels sprouts. The indoor atmosphere was a turn-off, and the outdoor seating area is okay. However, the food is good. Went with friends and again with family. We got takeout both times.

We used to love this place, but last couple of times they served the yucca cold. The server apologized and promised to bring it hot but never did. The chicken was good. The saltado tasted, well, salty, the flavor mostly like soy sauce, and the meat was overdone. The manager said that's how they always do it, unless you tell them not to. Didn't offer to make it right. Thanks, man! This was a few months ago, maybe it's improved, but we haven't been back since.

This week was my first time visiting this place. I just went there to treat myself to Salchipapas (I haven't had one since I was in High School in Peru). Food wise, they didn't disappoint. The Salchipapas, although an easy thing to make, was delicious. The potatoes and hot dogs tasted just the way they tasted in Peru 20 years ago. The atmosphere felt great with Juan Luis Guerra music playing in the background at just the right volume for you to enjoy it and still be able to have a conversation. The place feels nice and cozy with plenty of tables from 2 to 4 and bigger groups to sit together. The employees were great as well, with each one doing their job, and trying their best. The first person in line welcoming you and helping you find a seat was polite, graceful, and accommodating. The manager, whose name I forgot to ask, was on task (unlike most other managers). He jumped from the register, to serving, to preparing, etc., confident, attentive and welcoming to the customer. I could see that he is a hard working man and you can tell the place runs good because they have good people running the business, or at least I hope that is the case. Really, everyone there was on task. One thing that surprised me was to receive my order in a Sardis bag. When I asked why, I was told that they belonged to the same owner or something like that. And that makes sense because Sardis is another great place to get for from. What I would like to see is to have the option to tip when paying with card. Out of all places to eat, Picca and Sardis (specially Sardis because cause I go there more often due to the proximity) are places were I actually voluntarily want to tip because you get great customer service and/or quick, fresh, and delicious food. I wil definitely be coming back here the next time I'm around.

I have been coming to Pica since you opened. I make it a point to come eat your food everytime I come back to Germantown and I generally have a pleasant experience. I ordered a ceviche, papa rellena, and anticucho to go today which did not meet what I know Pica food should be. The anticucho meat tasted old, like liver. It was cooked well, with a little pink and seasoned well. But the meat itself tasted off. The ceviche was also poorly packaged and even though it was held upright the entire ride home all of the time juice spilled in the bag. The fish also seemed to be of poor quality. It was tough and chewy. The papa rellena was good. The man who took my order informed me that none of the dishes come with aji anymore. I've ordered all these things many times before and have always received aji. The man tried to tell me that since COVID none of the dishes come with aji when I have ordered takeout many times since COVID and received multiple containers of aji regardless of what I ordered. To the point that I always let them know I don't need the green one. I understand that cost and various other things can change but my receipt shows that he put "no sauce" on all of my items when I have never seen that before. My parents were also at Pica just last week and always get the same thing and receive multiple containers of aji. I love having good authentic Peruvian food nearby but this is not the quality of food and service that I have come to appreciate from Pica over the many years I have dined with you.

Best Peruvian food in the area. You have to try the amazing ceviche, causa and lomo saltado; my favorites! The Peruvian chicken is outstanding. They make you feel special as a customer. Kudos to the manager Oscar who is always attentive to make you have the best experience when you visit Picca.

Had a school happy hour with 15 people plus 3 teens (at their own table and no complaints) with the best service ever! The food was amazing and the drinks were strong. Had to drink lots of water before we hit the road! I would highly recommend! Pleasant environment for small group and fantastic food!

Before i started coming to Picca, i was at Sardis all the time with my family! Ever since Picca opened in germantown its been so convenient so its only 2 mins from my house! My family knows the owner and the manager! This place is a great place to dine in with your family, the service is amazing food is even better! 10/10 recommended, always leave happy!

Got horrible service from the staff tonight. I arrived 15 minutes before closing and ordered a chicken and 3 sides to go. I also wanted to get a second order of 1/2 chicken and 2 sides, but they claimed they couldn’t fulfill it because they were out of chicken. As I was waiting to get my sides, I noticed customers kept coming into the store and chicken surprisingly kept appearing from the undercounter warmer. Lying to me or any customer is completely unprofessional and unacceptable, and I won’t be going back to this location. Stealing glances at me and snickering amongst themselves did not help either.😡

We had the half chicken and rice and the chalaca ceviche which is a 10/10

I am annoyed with this place because they do not follow specific instructions on an order. I ordered 1 whole chicken with 2 large sides. I asked to put the beans on the side. This manager female that is working 03-27-2024 at 7:07 is the disrespectful and rude. She did not listen to my issue and wanted to have a yelling match with me so I contacted UberEats and they refunded my entire order. Some people are not fit to be the title they are. I will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!!

My husband and I are peruvian. This is literally no exaggeration the most disgusting Peruvian food we have ever eaten. We have eaten peruvian food in Peru, Florida, Virginia and throughout Maryland. This is literally no joke the most disgusting Peruvian food ever. Our lomo saltado de carne had no flavor not even salt. Our calamari tasted like soggy bread. And our yucca tasted liked wet dirty towels no joke literally. -Terrible food -Nice servers and employees terrible manager -Manager tried sneakily charging us and adding something to our bill we didn’t buy -Never eating here again thanks to manager not the employees. He took our order wrong and tried scamming us.

I placed a large order for a birthday celebration and the woman I spoke to on the phone was very attentive and confirmed my order! When I came to pick it up and went to the pick up area, the woman was also very nice! They got our order all correct, included sauces and was on time! Definitely ordering again for another event.

The best Peruvian chicken around. I also enjoy the many other main dishes. The sides are delicious especially the rice and beans and the plantains . The place is full of Hispanics and that is a testament to the authenticity of the cuisine.

We love Picca! The chicken is perfect for a fast, tasty family take out meal. When we want something extra good we dine in and pick something non-chicken from the menu. Are you craving Peruvian food?! Craving chicken and somewhat healthy food?! This place is for you! I don’t eat Peruvian food often but when I took my first bite into the chicken and Seco de carne. I would give this place a 4.5 but I can’t do 4 stars, it’s too good to be a 4. This place is owned by Sardis but feels more like a dine in versus take out. 5 stars for 5 reasons 1. The best thing i had was the Seco de carne which Beef short ribs simmered in a cilantro/beer sauce. Served with white rice and canary beans. THIS IS SO GOOD! It’s so tender, flavorful and just melts in your mouth. Kinda pricey but worth it! Give you 4 pieces and it’s enough to share. $28 dollars. The chicken is your typical Peruvian chicken! This is exactly the same as SARDIS! 2. The appetizer we got was papa rellena and it’s so good when it’s fresh! $13 dollars and the dessert tres leche is perfect! Not too sweet or overwhelming like most tres leche I typically have. 3. This place is very similar to Sardis but it’s feel more homie. The decor and the lighting feels welcoming and inviting. 4. The service is ok! Not the best and we still tipped 20 percent because our waitress was busy! Nice folks and provided fast service when we requested more sauces and to-go boxes. 5. The prices is kinda pricey but I think it’s fairly price for what you get! What you will get is fresh and super yummy food! Give it a try and you will not regret it!

Prices have increased and the quantity and quality of food has fallen. Very sad as we used to love Picca. The empanadas were not eatable, we threw them out after a bite. The yucas were good but they give you a handful with the family pack. We used to get a large white box full of yucas. I have no problem with higher prices but don’t cut portions and quality…

One of, if not the most, incredible Peruvian restaurant I have been to in all of Maryland. Upon entering, the ambiance and decor in the restaurant is colorful and modern, with an absolutely Latin American flair and beautiful mural celebrating Perú in rainbow colors along the back wall by the bar. Our server Enrique was incredibly kind, very knowledgeable about the menu, and just a great guy in general. He was always very attentive to our table and we barely waited what felt like three minutes before food came out! The Papá a la Huancaína and Chicharrones de Cerdo came out first, both were phenomenal and the presentation was beautiful. Then came the most delicious Arroz con Pollo you could ever have (which is oddly hard to find in Maryland in the first place), as well as an absolutely mouthwatering Seco de Carne. Although the price per plate was $20 and up, the amount of food we received was enough to take home almost half of what we were served. Combined with the quality of the food, it was more than worth every penny spent. We loved the Chicha Morada and their Maracuyá Sours, but unfortunately didn't have a chance to try any of the delicious desserts. All the more reason to return very soon!

The food really disappointed us. We had the calamari, lomo saltado, tacu tacu a lo pobre and carne asada. Calamari was the only food that was good. The rest was below average. The steaks had a raw smell in it - no seasoning, tasted bland and dry.

I come here all the time and I love the customer service. The ladies at the front are always friendly. The food is never bad and the portions are plenty. Sandra always takes good care of me.

Picca is more of a 3.5 star rating. They have updated their menu and have a option for everyone. My meal was enjoyable but some of my family members seemed to think they fall off. One thing we noticed before the update, the server would bring you a couple sauces with your meal. Now you have to request each sauce. They will only provide one sauce per table. I don't know about you but I like to have my own dipping sauce. Picca has put a good amount of money renovating the restaurant but FAILED completely to put a baby changing station in their restrooms! They have plenty of room, they have absolutely no excuse.
