Delicious Lebanese food. Labneh, hummus, and baba ganoush were all amazing.

We're visiting the area and found this place which offers halal food. To start off, they serve alcohol too which makes me uncomfortable about their halal offering claim. The service was good though. However, the food was just ok. We ordered chicken shawarma which comes with rice and salad. Salad was too sour due to unbalanced quantity of venager with lots of black pepper. It also destroyed the whole plate taste. Chicken was good and could have been better if they had not used the excessive venager. Prices are higher for the quality and portion of food.

WOW! We came here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Even though we didn’t mention this special occasion it was an amazing experience. We were a party of five and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The service was impeccable and very attentive. The food is authentic even though it came out fairly quickly. All around excellent!! Cooked Arabic food was pretty good tbh, service was really slow and not so pleasant nor friendly , getting the drinks was hard and slow as it was hard to get their attention , bare in mind the place was compeletely empty , and we the only table imagine what kinda disaster would've been if the place was busy.. it went pretty well until they served us literally a spoiled Ashta (dessert) which they charge 8 bucks for. We immediately returned it and asked for the check. I wouldn't recommend their desserts at all , but cooked food is not so bad. Service staff needs training@!!!! P.s. ppl leaving 5 stars reviews usually know nothing about food or hospitality. So their opinion is literally irrelevant.

Two weeks ago we were waiting for our order and drinking cold water then service person came and refilled my glass. He noticed a lemon seed came into my glass so he put back that glass water in the pitcher to remove the seed. That was very unhinge and unprofessional because I already drunk from that glass. My whole family noticed it but didn’t say anything. The person realized his mistake and bought the new water. But I think your people do it all the time especially behind the scenes while customers are not watching. Looks like your customers drink used water from each other mouth. I don’t know if they do this with food also so please answer and brief your staff. Thanks

Favorite place to eat in Alexandria! Always seating available, food is perfect every time. Great place to host a small celebration - , allowed us to bring in an outside cake for our party. Staff are very friendly! Amazing Lebanese dishes.

Very bad experience. My suggestion would be please no one eat here. From my personal experience eating here is wasting your money. The food prices are too high but the food is so bad that it is not worth exploiting. There is no point in wasting your money to eat at such a place😡

The place is located in nice downtown Alexandria. Very nice outside setting, like many other restaurants around. Almaza beer, Lebanese beer, is good. The food was not good at all! The salad was super salty, and I like my food salty, but that was salt plus salad. I ordered the baked kafta based on the waiter recommendation. It did not taste well at all. The potatoes were overcooked and meat tasted funny. However, when I told him that, he replaced my meal with real kafta (grilled minced meat)! This one was a lot better, but small portion. Anyway, I appreciate that they got good service by replacing my meal.

They just never served me so I left. Didn't welcome but I went and found someone and he said to grab a seat but then they just never attended to my table at all so I eventually just left

Food was amazing, best baba ghanouj and falafel I’ve ever had!

Mideterranean cusine, pure and simple. You step in the restaurant and the first thing that hits you is the warm smell of a home cooked meal. We ordered the appetizers platter, which is good for two people. Everything tasted like it should be. The beef shawarma, the salmon salad, and the falafel platter all tasted good. As for the atmosphere, it's clean, chic and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable, not as crazy as Lebanese Taverna or other high-end Mediterranean spots. Service was excellent and the food came out quickly. I am definitely coming back for other other specialties and the amazing dining atmosphere. 5 star rating it is.

Meh...it was ok. Food was mediocre. Had the falafel patties and chicken shawarma. Service was fast and prompt, but it was a slow night and the cook staff must've been holding a laughing hour. I heard nonstop carrying on the entire time. Shawarma was cooked well but just didn't have good flavor. Falafel was brown inside instead of green. I'd eat this again if I was super hungry, but it wouldn't be my first choice. The restaurant was clean but empty. Again..meh...

Super cute, unassuming Lebanese restaurant with friendly staff and great food. The menu is pretty big, with both meat and vegetarian options, so there are a lot of options for everyone. We shared the hummus (which came with complementary pita) and the Fatteh Blahmeh (an entree with stewed lamb, rice, almonds, and toasted pita). Our entree was big enough for two people to share and was really good; it was a unique combination of flavors that made for a wonderful whole. My mint tea was heavenly, and their baklava was super good. This place was pretty quiet, which only meant faster service for us. Out waiter was very friendly and answered all of our questions patiently. Prices are reasonable.

The BEST Lebanese food I've ever had!

FANTASTIC food. The gyro meat, rice, and taxiki were all A+. I will say the hummus was kind of average to me, but that doesn’t bother me so much because I go for the meat. The entire experience was very positive and service was fairly quick even on a busy weekend evening. Highly recommend!

THEE ABSOLUTE BEST LEBANESE FOOD YOU CAN GET IN THE DMV!! Restaurant owner/manager was so nice and everyone was helping everyone. I went at a busy time and they seemed to be a little short staffed, but we still received exceptional service. Will go back any chance I get and have recommended to so many of my friends!!!! I feel compelled to revise my review based on my recent visit to the restaurant. Unfortunately, I’m quite disappointed as the chicken Shawarma sandwich was served cold and lacked flavor. Even the fries were chilly. Upon closer inspection, I noticed cleanliness issues with the seeds both inside and outside the restaurant, and the restroom and floor were not well-maintained. The overall customer service left much to be desired. While I used to enthusiastically recommend this place to friends and family due to my love for Lebanese food, my recent experience has prompted me to seek an alternative dining spot.

Called in an order for lunch today, Beef Sharma platter. I did not receive any pita with my meal and no onions. The Beef was very overcooked, dry and lacking seasoning.

Was here a few weeks ago and had their Shish Ta Wouk, which is basically grilled chicken with rice and garlic sauce. The chicken was amazing; it was tender and juicy. Well grilled, although I prefer it with a little more intense flavoring. The rice was nice, nothing much to talk about that, anyways. The garlic sauce needs a special mention! Typically, garlic sauces don’t fit my palate, but this one just hits the right spot! The chicken and the garlic sauce is the perfect combo, and I practically licked the whole sauce off the bowl. Finally, I had the baklava. It was disappointing. It did not look fresh. Even the Costco baklava was way better than theirs.

Best restaurant and dining experience in the DMV area! Service was excellent, the Combination Platter (especially the falafel, stuffed grape leaves and baba ghanouj) were phenomenal, as was the sujuk. The desserts, particularly knafeh and rice pudding were heavenly. Everything pairs perfectly with the Lebanese wines as well. Cannot recommend this place enough.

With so many choices on the menu, I decided to get the Shawarma Combination Platter ($17.50) and Ayran ($3.95) to drink. The chicken was good, but the beef was dry and I wouldn't get it again. There was no pita bread, which was supposed to be included. For me, the best part of the lunch was the rice.

My family and I were originally going to go an Egyptian restaurant but it was closed, so we looked for another Middle Eastern style restaurant and the Pita House did not disappoint! My mother and I both took sandwiches with a side of fries and tabouleh and it was delicious. The server confused my order of chicken shawarma for falafel, because I had asked my mother if she wanted falafel, but it was actually a delicious sandwich, but then he returned with a complimentary chicken sandwich free of charge! I also ordered a mango juice which I think was squeezed? but it was delicious and refreshing. Overall a comfortable restaurant with delicious food and great ambiance and hospitality. Shukran! :)

Definite hidden gem here. We went on Labor Day, say mid-afternoon. Not crowded at all, which was surprising because the prices were extremely reasonable for Old Town! Service was excellent, and then the food was marvelous! Highly recommend the veggie sampler appetizer - lots to try and all of it fantastic! Will come back!

Wonderful service and delicious! We ordered a platter of appetizers, the best was the Baba Ghanjou and Avocado Salad. We also tried the homemade lemonade with Rose water and that was so refreshing. Also the Gyro salad was excellent.

The Pita House is one of the most authentic Lebanese restaurants that I have eaten at. Our table was the only one where Arabic was not spoken. We had Baba Ghanouj as an appetizer and it was excellent. I ordered the Mixed Grill - grilled Kafta, Shish Kabob and Shish Ta Wouk served with grilled tomatoes, onions, rice and yogurt sauce. The Kofta (sausage) was the best I've had. The others created their own vegetarian plates - hummus, grape leaves, spinach pie, and moujadra. All very good.

Excellent Lebanese food. Very few patrons, Which made us nervous initially, but the food, and friendly service made up for it. Plenty of outdoor seating if desired.
