I absolutely love this place. It may look like a little hole in the wall, Waffel House replacement, but it's really a family owned (I think the owner is the cook) restaurant. The souvlaki (no mushrooms, please) is the best. Best sweet tea I've had since my aunt Barbara Jean's. You won't be disappointed. I've never been.

This place will be closed during July so that the owner can get in a vacation but when they reopen August 1st it is a must try! Excellent Greek food!!

Was in town for a training and came upon this place. Good gyro great looking menu. The cook is very old country... with accent and cooking to boot and man he knocks it out of the park! Seems to have a good following of regulars too... as the lunch crowd came in it was " your usual?" Or "same as alway".... look forward to going back!

So, the atmosphere isn’t anything great, but the food is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable by any standard. Service is a little slow, as it is a 1-man operation, but that also assured the food is consistently great.

It was so delightful to have an authentic gyro. The owners were so sweet too and told me where to buy the feta they used. We will be back again soon!

First time here. I was helped with my order which I appreciated. I got what I wanted. It was quickly prepared and was good. Had the lamb gyro and hummus with pita. Loved the hummus. I would say I would've liked the tatziki to taste more cucumber like. But really no complaints. I'd eat here again.

I love Gyros, they are one of my favorite foods to eat and Pita Way doesn't disappoint. I especially enjoy that they give you seasoning for the fries on the side as some places in my opinion put too much on. My husband and I have been twice and we will definitely be back.

My favorite place to eat in Anderson!

Everything was delicious! My husband's picky about Mediterranean food because he lived in Greece for 3 years. He was super pleased! We had the beef slovaki and chicken shawarma, both on pita and served with French fries. Loved the tzatziki! Another customer ordered onion rings while we were there and they looked amazing. Definitely trying those next time, which we hope is soon! The man and woman working there were very nice, got our food out quickly, and checked on us often. The prices were good too.

I have always been nothing less than impressed when eating at Pita Way! Their grilled chicken sub with all the fixin’s is top tier. There is nothing better than fresh ingredients prepared right in front of you, as they have an open atmosphere that allows you to do so! Pita Way will always be my go-to when in Anderson!

Marvelous gyros! It was a one man show when we arrived for a late lunch; but the service was quick, and we enjoyed some conversation with the chef! We will return.

I grew up in SLC where Greek food is found all over the city and I have to say that this cute little diner has authentic yummy food! The owner makes delicious food! I love the vegetarian options such as the falafel sandwich, hummus, and wraps. I do miss the vegetarian stuffed grape leaf dish and hope they can come back please? I hope this place stays for years to come! Variety is the spice of life. I appreciate this place because it offers variety in a place where ethnic food is hard to find! Thank you Pita Way!

I wasn’t sure about a dish and they so nicely explained it to me. I ordered and I loved it! Absolutely delicious, and nice large portions. Will definitely be returning. Very nice people.

This place is great its in what seems to be an old waffle or huddle house the food was fresh and hand made! I find It hard to find really good food in Anderson but this place exceeded my expectations!!

Take the time and save your money on fast food. This is one of the best places to go. Their gyros are outstanding .Everything is hot and fresh prepared in front of you. It takes about the same amount of time as sitting at a drive-through at rush hour, much better value, fantastic experience!

Good food, good service good price

Delicious food prepared fresh in front of you. The owner/cook gives good service and the price is very reasonable. $23 for two meals with a drink. Much better than fast food.

The several times my family and I have come here, the gentleman managing the store has been very polite, prompt and has made excellent quality food. My wife loves his sweet tea to boot. The restaurant is always clean and orderly. We are grateful for Pita Way and hope it will be a mainstay in Anderson.

Great food. Don't let the old Waffle House building fool you. This is authentic Mediterranean food. There's a language barrier. But be patient, it's worth it. I didn't get exactly what I ordered but I didn't care 😂. Food was excellent. I will definitely eat there again

Me and my boyfriend ate here for the first time today and absolutely everything on our plates was delicious!! I got the falafel and he got the Philly cheesesteak. It is hard to find food that good and also that fresh. Even the sweet tea was out of this world. We can’t wait to go back!

Not vegan, beware they cook their falafel in the same oil as their animal product. Owner was honest with me about it though.

I ordered the beef souvlaki for takeout tonight and it was delicious! Filled to bursting with meat, peppers and onion. It was perfectly cooked and the sauce was also very good. It was a bargain at under $10. A pleasant surprise. I'll be back!

Food is absolutely delicious and fresh every time I eat there. It is hard to find a restaurant that has the ability to keep consistency in the quality of their food, Pita Way definitely does. You can tell that the Chef cares about the people and the food he serves them. As we say in the South, you can “taste the love,” which is the most important ingredient. The Gyro is my favorite.

Great place for lunch. The couple that runs it are kind and welcoming. One time I forgot my wallet, and didn't realize it until I'd already eaten. The owner was just going to let it go. Of course I immediately came back and settled up, but that could have gotten awkward and he kept it very courteous and friendly.

Been coming back for years. Everything is made fresh for each order. It's not the fanciest place but always clean.

Great place and I'm glad that I stumbled upon it. Awesome customer service and the food was very fresh. In fact, he literally cut everything as soon as I ordered, including the makings for the salad. This meal was the Gyro Pita Way Specialty; however, if I ever find myself in Anderson again, I'm going to try every dish.

Nice owner a one man shop. Food is tasty good. Fresh. Souvlaki was more stir fry beef not kebab meat at all but tasted fine VERY SMALL AMT IF RICE. Would been much better more rice. Hummus good tabouli good. Falafel was little under cooked but ok. I prefer crunchy outside

I really wanted to like this place. With high hopes I was greeted by a kind Greek gentleman who took my order. Then prepared my gyro combo. When I ate my meal it was very sub par. I will perhaps try it again. Maybe it was an off day. (The fries were excellent!)

my wife is OBSESSED with Pita Way! We visited like a week ago, we almost always call in a take-out order. but we've been like four or five times now, I think. we normally get the shwarma rice specialty, extra meat, that or get the shwarma sandwich and a few pieces of baklava. literally have never had a bad meal from here, it is always excellent!

The best gyro I've had in a long time. If you're hungry you won't be when you leave. Must eat there again

Extremely tasty!! Very unique dinner which allows you to see the nice gentlemen cooking your food fresh. Recently moved into town and we have now found one of our new favorite places to eat! Will not be disappointed here. :)

We love Pita Way We have been coming here for several years. Even after moving away from Anderson, we always make sure to go to Pita Way whenever we are in town. We are vegetarian, and in a small town dominated by Barbecue and fast food/chain restaurants, Pita Way is a breath of fresh air. The food is always hot and prepared just the way we like it. I love the hummus, and if you've never tried the cauliflower wrap I recommend it. The cauliflower is fried but not breaded, and is deliciously savory. The veggie wrap is also a regular favorite. The building itself is a little unusual looking, but it's an open kitchen and you can see your food being prepared from start to finish in small, fresh batches. The owner is such a nice person. He's there most days by himself taking the orders, cleaning the tables, AND cooking all the food. He does everything. He's not the most talkative person, but you can tell this restaurant and his customers mean a lot to him.

I use to eat daily at their location across from the hospital so it's been a while since I've had their food but was not disappointed, so good, again so good. Going back this week.

Absolutely loved the Philly cheesesteak!

This is by far the BEST Greek place in town!!! It's owned by a Greek man himself, and I swear he absolutely makes the best gyros I've ever tasted. I usually get fries on the side (which he seasons very well), however you can also get a Greek salad on the side which is banging as well. I haven't had much else on the menu, but this little place is definitely worth the visit!! You'd be surprised by the quality of the food! And the Greek man is always there! Very quiet, but also very kind as well and giving. English isn't his first language but he does a very good job at taking orders and doing special requests, stuff like that. His food speaks for himself mostly. Like seriously. I am not joking. 10/10 would recommend to ANYONE wanting some authentic, down-to-earth, absolutely top tier Greek food. (Get the gyro, I promise you won't regret it. At first I got the chicken because I was hesitant to eat the lamb, but the lamb is so so much better I swear.) And don't be intimidated by the fact it's an old Waffle House or anything. I saw some reviews where people said it was a little "scary" at first, but it's literally just an old Waffle House lol. Trust me, the food is worth it. I've been going here for about a year now, and I've never had a bad meal.

I had the chicken gyro in a pita. It was sooo good. The tzatziki could use some cucumbers, but I like cucumbers so that's just my personal preference. It was all really good.

I have been visiting Sam for many years. His food is simple yet delicious. Sam has a hard time hearing people so you should speak up when ordering. His dialect can also be difficult to understand for some people. He prepares excellent salads,sandwiches and gyros. Great choice if you are looking for something new in Anderson.

I don't understand why this place isn't always packed! The food is fresh, quick and delicious!

The reasturant seemed to be a converted huddle house. It generally had some ok food, the lamb wasn't to my liking. I feel like it needed more flavor,but that's not gonna stop me from getting chicken! Also the baklava was delicious. I wish that it was a bit brighter and up to date.. there were saint patty decorations in July.
