Ordered this to go and when I pulled up to the restaurant they were closed. Their closing time on google says 11:00pm and it is 10:45 pm. Took my money and everything. I’m not sure how this happened but am super bummed.

Sam is the best! Every time I come in he takes care of me and cooks whatever I'm on the mood for. I just moved to Tampa a few weeks ago from Kansas City and he's helped make me feel right at home. And don't forget to ask for the Turkish hot sauce if you like it extra spicy ;-)

This place is horrible and way over priced for the food. The chicken in my shawarma was heated in the microwave so don’t expect anything fresh. All I could taste in it was salt. Greasy pita. Soggy fries; and I was there when they came out of the fryer. The cook had grease all over his gloves and got it all over every container and the bag. Spent way too much money to throw the food in the trash. I will not eat here again

Food is fresh and delicious. The restaurant itself is no frills, but it is still well worth the visit. Best Mediterranean I’ve found in Tampa!

The service was great, they were very friendly. The food was delicious. Portion sizes were for large. I did not finish my food and I usually always finish. Price was reasonable. A few things were out of order and a few menus items were not available. However it was explained that they are revamping their menu. Brand new ownership so they are doing a great job as they fix up the place. We would eat here again for sure!

The food here is very good. Everything tastes fresh and homemade. Very nice people too. While it did take some time to receive our food, it was well worth it. They were very accommodating and made us feel welcomed. I am very happy I came here to try something different. Will definitely return and recommend!

Our first time at Turkuaz, but will definitely come back. The chicken gyros are delicious!!!! The portions are nice and the price is just right. Excellent service too. Highly recommended!!

The best gyro I’ve ever had. Delicious!!

Took over the old pita Republic spot. Everything is $10 or more. They put lettuce on their gyros FYI. The experience wasn't bad nor great. Average taste and size gyro. Kinda pricey for what you get. Coke machine was out of order. They have cool Turkish sweets in boxes for $12 a piece. I went back. They have some pretty good combos now with a good quality, quantity and cost ratio. Food quality is good and their people are great.

This is the BEST tasting Mediterranean food in the Bay area. I have tried them all this past year. We had lamb medallions, chicken medallions, lamb gyro and omg the hummus and babaganoush are out of this world. All were so flavorful. I will go every time I am in Tampa.

Update - 2023: New owner/operators again, under a different name - but true Turkish/Mediterranean taste if you ask me. Excellent food - made me return to the store. Gyros are awesome, and the lamb kefta - glad I tried it. The place has improved dramatically under new management and staff. The food tastes not just great, but awesome. The staff are swift and very nice. Love the platters, especially the hummus platter. Their gyro meat tastes authentic. The chicken pita and the vegetarian pitas are equally delicious.

Food was super good and fresh! I had the Turkuaz chicken rice bowl and hubby had the Turkuaz chicken wrap with garlic sauce.

It was fantastic and fresh. Definitely my kind of place. I’m already craving the Turkish gyro again. I hope this place gets a lot of attention, because it’s really yummy.

Please don't take it so seriously, I'm vegan, so I ordered the falafel sandwich ، it was very good. So, they said they specialize in chicken..

I ordered the rice bowl through Uber eats and it was mouth watering. The cucumber onion and tomato was so fresh the chicken is seasoned deliciously and absolutely perfect portion size for everything. I will probably be ordering this once a week now. Tzakiki sauce was good as well and didn’t drown out the rice bowl

My husband & I loved Turkuaz Mediterranean Grill . It's a very friendly place. We had a big portion of a yummy Greek salad 🥗 with lamb kofte homemade tzatziki. We also had a cheese desert called kunefe😋 Prices are low & the food is delicious. We will definitely come back.

Food was super good and fresh! I had the Turkuaz chicken rice bowl and hubby had the Turkuaz chicken wrap with garlic sauce. The front and eating areas were nice and clean. It was kinda quite in there but that wasn’t horrible. The guys working were super nice and helpful! We will definitely be coming back for more!

So nice to have fantastic Mediterranean food in Carrollwood. This is not a chain which is great! Delicious & reasonably priced with some neat Turkish groceries & goods available. I loved it. Gentleman working were very nice.

We ordered the lamb gyro and falafel to go (with extra tzatziki). The lamb gyro was a good-sized portion, though the tzatziki was a bit thinner sauce than I expected. The falafel was fresh but could have used a bit more seasoning. We will visit Turkuaz again, as it is relatively new to the area and we would like to try some of its other dishes as well.

Let me just tell y’all best I’ve ever had, my best friend does like not hummus she tried and loved it. Went there yesterday and came back today to try other items on their menu, have not been disappointed. It’s the best ever short of going to the Middle East. I’ll keep going because the hospitality and food was amazing!!! Would totally recommend trying.

Came here first time and was not disappointed, had the chicken ceaser pita and thought it would taste like a ceaser salad and it tasted wayy better, I dont even care for ceaser salad. Definitely will be a regular

Been there 3 times. I have had salads, gyro, and kebabs there. All delish! Great quality lamb gyro meat.

A bit different taste and presentation from the Turkish food I know, from Europe. It’s good but not as great as the doner kebab from Europe. Prices are decent and the portion is good too. I’ll do it again.

I'm giving it a 3. Not because the food wasn't good, but because they were out of everything. I ordered chicken bowl. Sorry, we're out of both kinds of chicken. So I ordered it with beef. Ordered fountain drink. Sorry our soda machine isn't working. So I ordered water. Paid and sat down. Then he comes over and says sorry, we're out of rice. Offered a Shwarma. They also went to the only other table and told them they were out of something. Not good for business! The food was good but I won't be back

Everything about this place is Amazing! The food is so Amazing and the Kunefe was absolutely delicious! I will for sure be coming back to eat again very soon!

Very kind and friendly staff. The gyros were fresh and tasty. The Turkish tea was wonderful and they have a wide selection of dried teas to purchase. We had a very nice lunch!

The food is excellent. You order at the cash and your food is brought to you. Knifes and forks are plastic. The atmosphere is fast food, but the food itself is very tasty.

During our visit to see a friend, we stumbled upon this new Mediterranean restaurant and were immediately intrigued to give it a try. I ordered the power wrap, a meatless gyro, which was absolutely fantastic but a little messy. My wife opted for the Tabalu salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Wonderful selection of Pita, Shawrma and Kebabs. Cute seating and ambiance. Customize everything to your liking. Also has a small market of teas and Turkish delights and candies. An excellent addition to the neighborhood!

Amazing place, very clean, location is great. Amazing staff. Food is incredible. My kids said that it was the most delicious food they have ever had 😍. That means a lot for me. The very nice cashier gave a book to my 4-year old daughter. It is so sweet. I couldn’t make photo of food, because it disappeared in seconds… Only photo of book 😂.

NOTE: Any other review that is older than 5 months DOES NOT REFER TO TURKUAZ! They've taken over from Pita's Republic and have been open for a couple of months only (by the time of this review) so please, keep that in mind. I absolutely respect, admire and enjoy this place. Started out as a spin-off from Pita's Republic and it became a name of its own. I've traveled around the world and have enjoyed -in person- the flavorful palate of the mediterranean cuisine in many occasions (Greece, Italy, Turkey, Morocco). Now I have that here at home! Boutan brings the original, indigenous, bona-fide flavors directly from Turkey. Spices, ingredients and so on. It is absolutely fantastic and if that wasn't enough, the deserts are to die for (Backlava, Kadayif, etc.) This may not be for your average dining crowd, this is more sophisticated than it looks. In addition, Aitach and Boutan (hope I spelled their names right) are fantastic hosts. If you are looking for an alternative in Mediterranean food, try this with eyes closed.

I liked!! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We tried chicken pita, lamb gyro, beef gyro plate, Keabe and everything was spectacular, the flavor was amazing, and what I liked most about the place is that it is close to where I live and very clean. Recommended

We are so happy to have found this place! For anyone who lives in this area, it's where pita republic used to be. The service at Turkuaz Mediterranean was so exceptional. They were so friendly and prompt! The food is AMAZING and reasonably priced. They also have an adorable selection of loose leaf teas, baklava, and Turkish delight. Lastly, they are open until 10 pm which is hard to find in my neighborhood. So thank you and bravo!

The food was delicious, the service was friendly and informative. We ordered the Turkish doner sandwich, which is a Mediterranean-style burrito filled with well-seasoned chicken, vegetables, and French fries! The Kofte platter had nicely seasoned beef patties on a bed of some of the tastiest rice we've ever eaten and was accompanied by a shepherd salad, which is finely chopped garden vegetables topped with parsley and mint. Also accompanying the platter was a tangy pickle assortment. We started the whole meal with an order of stuffed grape leaves and an Ayran, which is a traditional yogurt based drink similar to Persian doogh - creamy and salty. We're going to make Turkuaz one of our regular stops for fine food.

First time here, and definitely not the last. Turkish dumplings were amazing, the beef pide was great, and the tabouli was good, not used to eat it with onions tho. Great choice!

First but not the last time! We were long time fans of a greek place that recently shutbdown-so we gave this a try. I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh and flavorful everything tasted-especially being delivered. The delivery driver was super nice, food was hot, order was correct! All around, we were satisfied with the order.

The Greek salad with chicken and the hummas was sooooo good. I will be back. I love this place.

Chicken Salad Pocket was freaking delicious! Their potato salad is as well. My husband also really liked the Strawberry Banana smoothie ! Their menu is more extensive than I thought - definitely recommend for a quick bite!

I've been going to Pita's for 15 years. First the one on Hillsborough Ave and then now this one in Carrollwood. I always make a custom pita and it's always delicious! My husband typically gets the gyro which he also loves and we come a couple times a month because we like it that much. Quality and fresh ingredients and a friendly staff. It's a locally owned place as well so it's nice to support a community member as well.

The best food. Always fresh, delicious, and fast service. The staff is great, very respectful, everything is clean. They care and value there customers, 5 star service. My favorite is the tex-mex simple but delicious. One of my favorite place to eat.

Nothing here to write home about. Food all around was ok to good. After ringing me up they asked me 6 times, what did I order. Gyro was ok, chicken pita was good, hummus not and the salad was a very basic greek salad.

My first visit.. I had the hummus/falafel pita and it was amazing. Only gave 4 stars b/c it'll take another visit or two to confirm consistency/quality of food. I'm a vegetarian so can't comment on menu items containing meat.

I have an absolute great experience every time I come to this location. The food is always fresh made with love and taste amazing. The customer service is the best Ive come across in any industry. Also if your reading this and you like potatoe salad, its a must to taste.

Went to this location today. First time here. Order a Chicken Pita with Garlic sauce and it was delicious! Employee behind the counter was very nice to me! Will definitely be visiting again soon!

Went today with my son after ordering online couple of months ago. We really enjoyed the food so went to the restaurant this time to eat it fresh and hot. Was not disappointed. I was welcomed in and the service was really great, quick and friendly. These are new owners since perhaps the last 6 months or so so don't look back at the much older reviews. This place has changed. Very clean and organized.
