I ordered the Monday special: Mezza Plate, served with pitta, hummus, grilled scallions, olives, garlic gloves, and a small salad. — It was lite and refreshing! Good flavors, just a smaller serving than expected. Still good tho! For dessert I tried two of their baklavas: pistachio and walnut! They came out nicely glazed with honey! Very good! The waitress I had was a very sweet woman and they also gave me a complimentary military discount which was appreciated. I’d come back to try other items! 😋

A very solid choice for good Mediterranean food. The service was excellent. The food was good at reasonable prices. Overall if you are in the area I would recommend & I will return.

Good looking spacious place in a good location, but parking is inadequate and it is very loud at peak times. Staff are very friendly. Sweet tea is average. Most of the food is pretty good, big portions but price a touch high. Had a lamb burger recently that was overcooked, and crinkle fries aren't impressive.

Pita's is always busy and noisy at lunch, But that's because they're so good. They also serve evening meals, and it's much quieter then. I Just received my order of a Kofta platter and side of falafel. The falafel are my favorite in Columbia. They are so wonderfully tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside. I'm posting a photo. I have to say, kudos to the servers as well. They work as a team and always magically show up at the right moment with drink refills, taking orders, etc.

Their lunches are great! I have their Greek salad with chicken or chicken, rice and salad combo a few times a week minimum and it’s always consistently great!

My food was bland. It was not as good as in the past. The waitresses were very kind.

This restaurant is a 10/10!! The food is so great! What makes this place so different is the staff and environment. They are always so welcoming and friendly. They don’t make you feel like just a number. Definitely my favorite place to eat in Columbia.

I love this place. Everything I’ve gotten so far has been tastefully seasoned to perfection, pricing is very reasonable, staff is kind…just wish they had weekend hours. Other than that food and atmosphere is really good.

Finally got by here and it didn't disappoint! I had the falafel wrap with a side Greek salad and then got some stuffed grape leaves to go. The wait staff was quick and friendly and the food was as good as I had been told. I will definitely be back!

Recommended from a local. Amazing food. I had the gyro platter it was amazing. Very flavorful. The tzatziki sauce was so delicious. You can tell the food was fresh. The waitress was super friendly and chill. Good came out pretty quickly which was awesome bc I was starving. Can’t wait to return so I can come back to this place.

Is it the nicest looking place? Not really. Is it the best Mediterranean you’ll have? More than likely. Affordable and insanely good. We got the Copy Cat Wrap with a side of fries and a chicken burger with a salad and both blew our minds. The waitress was kind and funny. This place is a hidden gem that should be visited more often

Automatic deduction for credit card service fee. They try to pose it as "cash discount" but this is a tax deductible business expense being passed on to customers. Will not return due to this alone. Food was fast and good, service was efficient. Parking was a bit tight, not enough spaces. IRS Publication 535 page 47

I live over an hour away. Had an appointment in Columbia and was looking for a bite before driving home. Food was great, and everyone in the place seemed to be regulars. People knew the staff and the main cashier/server was very sweet with everyone. I got there around 230p and they close at 3p I wasn't rushed, and will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

The most outstanding mediterrainian food in Cola. There are others that are good, but pitas takes it over the top. The presentation, the attention to detail, and the overall quality of the dish. I am so happy to have them in our community!

This was our first time at Pita's and my wife and I both enjoyed our meals. The lunch portion for both platters was plenty of food for the price and everything was delicious. Friendly and fast service. We will definitely be back!

Added response to owners' comments: 1. Everything I described was my impressions. I have no knowledge of the kitchen processes and that makes no difference. The food bordered on inedible. I was able to eat it which is the only reason I did not give this zero stars. 2. The abundant seating does not take away from the fact that the dining room is dismal. Get some new booths and tables at the very least. 3. "Dinning room" might actually describe the dining room's environment, as others have complained about the noise level, but I suspect this is a misspelling. 4. The pita bread was scarce and not fresh. A pita oven is not a requirement for decent pita bread. My impression is that it is not very good to start with and was reheated after being in the kitchen for some time. Chewy and dry. 5. French fries are not French. Crinkle cut is mostly an American thing. I have had better out of the freezer section of the supermarket. 6. A broth holding tank will not lead to moist chicken. The salt in the broth will dehydrate the chicken. Chicken usually is dry when the proteins coagulate and encapsulate the natural oils and moisture, in short when it is overcooked by heat and/or brining. Try switching to a no salt broth for starters, if you really need to hold it. 7. The server was fine which is why she got a 20% tip. The service includes greeting, seating, etc. We got "sit wherever you want" grunted at us. Not a nice greet and seat. 8. I mostly don't bother with 2 to 4 star reviews. So, of course, about half my reviews will be 1 star. I like to warn people away from certain restaurants with personal gastronomic impressions, and I like to lead people to other restaurants with personal gastronomic impressions. Not much sense in telling patrons that a restaurant is mediocre but acceptable. 9. Your restaurant shows a distinct need for improvement. Your attitude is off kilter. You should consider a negative review as a blessing. Original review : I cannot imagine a worse Mediterranean meal. I had the falafel platter. We had a 🎄 party at this location. I enjoy a taste of food from different countries. Tabbouleh, grape leaves, humus, tzatzki dip, lamb and chicken skewers.

So far I’ve had their baba ganoush, chicken burger, and Lebanese chicken wrap. They were all delicious, especially the chicken wrap. Ate there 2 days in a row to try different menu items. Service for take-out was lightning fast! It’s a great find near my work. Will be a regular there for sure!

The wife and I drive 45 min to eat lunch at pitas once a week. the food and staff are amazing.

Not sure how we made it 9 years in Cola without knowing about this gem. Awesome authentic Lebanese food, great service and the Toom is heavenly.

Folks are always friendly, they don't give me hard time about an ingredient I like to switch out. The food is awesome.

The gyro meat was good, veggies good. The pita was tough and chewy. The fries were crinkle cut and a bit soft. The pasta salad was delicious. The service was great, waitress very friendly and honest about menu items, service fast.

My husband and I met for a lunch date at Pita's recently. I have a severe tree nut/peanut allergy, so I called ahead to be sure there were allergy friendly options available. The customer service on the phone was excellent! The woman I spoke with told me they use nuts in their baklava & cookies, but as long as I let my server know upon arrival, they can make sure that my food is prepared safely. Our server ended up being the woman I spoke with on the phone. She took our orders quickly, and our plates were actually delivered to our table by the owner, Mark. He wanted to double-check that soy and sesame were okay for me to eat. It was so reassuring to know they took my allergy seriously, even during the Friday lunch rush! The food is amazing!!! I ordered a gyro platter, and my husband ordered a gyro with fries. We will definitely be going back for many more lunch dates. Thank you Pita's for excellent food and a wonderful experience!

August 2023 was my first time ever experience coming here. I passed them many times not knowing. I was referred by my Dr office and in one day I went twice because the food was great you can taste the freshness the ladies at the counter gave great customer service each time with a smile even while waiting for service To,-Go they will communicate with you while multi tasking and helping other and I thank you for letting me know you SEE ME!. I had the Greek salad 🥗 once😋 the lamb wrap 🌯 twice😋 and a lamb dinner that came with yellow rice and Greek salad. 😋 The price changes from lunchtime hours to dinner time yet it's still affordable. Parking 😳 especially doing lunchtime is rough I don't want my vehicle tow and paying at the meter is unnecessary unless you are sitting in. my To-Go was quick each time. Thank you for the wonderful service it's a great feeling especially since so much is changing in our world with manners. Their kindness felt real and welcoming 😊👍🏾💯 I will keep passing the word, they also stay open until 8pm too.

As a sever, this was the best experience I've had dining out in a while. Fast, clean, delicious and affordable. Servers were all over it.

We eat Greek food on a regular basis. We were invited to lunch about an hour before we arrived to the restaurant so we didn't review the menu. They didn't have some of the traditional Greek entrees that other restaurants have, but the menu options are good. We settled for the vegetarian grape leaves and the chicken platter. The seasoning for both was really good. Parking is decent but not during the lunch rush.

Their food is great and the staff are very friendly. My favorite dish is the bacon shrimp wrap.

First let me say that my opinion of the quality of a Greek/Mediterranean is based on the quality of their gyro meat and tzatziki sauce; also whether they put lettuce on a gyro (a no no). So the good first: the tzatziki sauce/dip with sliced pita bread was very good, and appeared to be homemade. A member of our party had the baba ganoush and really liked it too. The bad was the gyro meat. In my opinion, good gyro meat is sliced fresh off the spit and then tossed on the griddle for a minute to crisp up the edges. This was not that. This appeared to be the mass produced, preformed, frozen gyro meat that was re-heated on a griddle. The flavor was fine (not great), but it was overcooked and a touch dry. Not fresh, and not authentic in my opinion. I also had to ask them to remove the lettuce. I won't go back for gyros and the tzatziki was good but not enough to bring me back by itself.

Great food and the service was spot on. They don't hang on to you like a leech, but give you space to enjoy what they are offering. Great little spot to get a healthy and filling Greek meal.

I tried out Pitas on a whime...I wanted to eat somewhere I hadn't eaten before in the area. And I was very pleasantly surprised. The interior is a little dated...could use an update. But the parking lot was full so I knew that was a good sign. Once I took a bite of the food I didn't care how the place looked. The food was fresh and seasoned well. It came out very quickly (probably within 5 minutes of me ordering). And it was a huge portion, but it was also very affordable. (That is the lunch portion in the photo I've attached). There was easily enough left for a second meal after I ate what I could. This and a soda was only $15 plus tax. The staff were all super polite and attentive. And the place was clean and continually being cleaned as customers finished and left. This was by far one of the best meals I've eaten in the Columbia area. I'll definitely be back and referring customer to go there.

I ordered lunch here for myself and a co-worker. I am always slightly leary when it comes to Mediterranean food as I am a picky eater. I was pleasantly surprised! It was absolutely amazing! I ordered the gyro platter, I fell in love!!! My coworker ordered the Lebanese chicken wrap. She liked it so much, she ordered it again for dinner. I can't wait to eat here again!

PItas is one of my favorite lunch spots in Columbia. We order for our office at least once a week and if it were up to me we would order more often. The food is always very fresh and the menu has great options. The tabouleh is one of my go tos with chicken or beef. The portions are great and the quality and taste is always on point.

Some of the best Mediterranean food in town - make sure to try their specials - they always have something fresh and exciting on the menu! The tabouli is incredible and shouldn't be skipped as a side - plus the staff are always great! It isn't a fancy place, but great for a casual lunch or dinner, and they're pretty fast all things considered!

Food is always great from the standard menu! The ever changing daily specials are also pretty good too! From the normal menu, you can't go wrong with the Copycat or any of the platters. The specials tend to be so good that I don't have a favorite! Also sweet potato fries and the potato salad are really good!

I don't want to hurt this place with a mediocre rating. It's a good restaurant if you like this type of food, but there was really nothing there for me. I thrive on good quality meat, not a lot of carbs.
