Cute little pizza place. Great food and beer. Very friendly staff and owner. Love the outside sitting area.

We ordered a large cheese pizza and dozen hot wings on a Friday night for takeout. After going to voicemail on the first call and waiting on hold for 5 minutes on the second call, I was able to place my order and the estimated pickup time was 1.5hours. We stuck with the wait and drove over to pick up the food 1.5hours later, and no doubt the pizza had been sitting there for some time. While the crust was tasty, overall it was at the point where it was not as fresh as it should have been. The wings were also disappointing. They were soggy and some were fatty. To their credit, the brownies were very good lol. But overall experience was definitely negative

We had the small pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and green chile. It was delicious! The service was great too. I highly recommend this place.

My wife likes to say I'm a pizza snob. Being from WNY originally, I had to stop at a place run by two guys from Utica. I'm glad we did. The pizza is excellent and the crust is that middle of the road upstate NY style, and I really like it. You can tell it's a legit pizza operation because they have Parm and red pepper flakes at the ready. Also, don't sleep on the riggies. They're terrific. Place was very busy on a Friday night, and I very much understand why.

Sat outside with a wonderful view of the mountains. Got seated instantly and the service was kind and quick. The food came out quick and hot. Had the cheese pizza and OMG it was amazing! Best pizza in Taos by far! Also tried the pesto penne with chicken and was really good as well. Will definitely be coming back!

The pizza here is just how I like my pizza! The perfect crust, not doughy or too thick or too thin. There’s not too much extra cheese or sauce or any grease. They put just the right amount of toppings on! I made my own with green and black olives, spinach, garlic, feta and my partner got the fire twirler; both were so good!!! I’m an avid breadstick and salad girl and I was impressed with both! The breadsticks have a great cheese and Mariana dipping sauce and the spinach salad was loaded with toppings. The salad plate was honestly too small for the amazing salad though so maybe a bigger plate would be nice so I can tear it up. We sat outside during a rain storm and luckily came prepared with sweaters and long pants to do so. For me, the patio is the second best part after the pizza! The unobstructed mountain views are stunning!!! We ordered pick up here once and it was a 1 hours wait at 7pm on a Saturday. It makes sense, but I wasn’t expecting 1 hour, so that’s why the 4 star service. We went back on a Thursday and were seated outside 5:15 and were leaving by 6:15. The waiting staff was super great giving refills and taking away empty plates as we finished things. Loved our orders here and we definitely plan to eat out again!

All-around NO! Worst service ever considering a handful of tables were seated simultaneously and the server just stood behind the counter looking miserable and not doing her job. We weren't the only table to walk out after 25+ minutes of not getting waited on. Also, purchasing a cooling system in this heat is necessary, people. I know the owners used to run a good establishment, but so much in this town broke during the pandemic that it seems like it's never going to recover. Please hire professional, experienced staff or get behind the counter yourselves. We were warned by other locals that service had gone downhill, but couldn't believe how bad it was.

Pizza and pasta were both great

Heard this place was good but wouldn’t know because walked in, person at the counter never looked up from counting her tips and told us to sit anywhere while twirling her finger in the air then told, I assume the.boss, they “made bank” We went to sit down “anywhere” as we were told, only to be told by the same employee the table we sat at was reserved although there were no sign. Never Again!

The day I found this place 6.6.24 The food was amazing! I will drive from Belen NM to Taos NM any day to enjoy a little slice of heaven. One of the best pizza 🍕 I ever had. Thanks guys!🙏

Their crust is perfect, as is the amount of toppings! I also like that they provide basil, oregano, pepper flakes and parmesan for those who need a little extra per slice! The rasperry/hibiscus herbal tea is super refreshing. It's a small place so go off hours

Traveling with my folks we stopped in Taos for the night. Looked for a place to eat dinner and came across Pizanos in the reviews. It's not far out of town, just not in town. We got there at about 7:30pm and they close at 8. There were 2 other tables seated and eating pizza that looked delish. Our waitress was wonderful and welcoming. We were encouraged to take our time and enjoy everything. We ordered eggplant parm, and spaghetti and meatballs to share for 3 of us. Let me tell you, it was enough for 5 people! Came with a nice salad and bread sticks too. Everything was hot, and delicious! 3 more folks came in to get takeout orders while we were there. If you're in the area don't hesitate to make the small jaunt over to Pizanos. You won't be sorry!

The crust on pizza was good but I am not sold on this pizza being worth $28. All you could taste was jalapeños. Hardly any sauce. The rigatoni in marinara cream w sausage $19 wasnt even rigatoni. It was penne and overcooked. The sauce didn't have much flavor. The sausage was scarce but flavorful. The antipasto had a good balance and was tasty.

Very tasty meal , very efficient service, very enjoyable . A short drive out of Town butwould definitely recommend if staying in Taos .

Charming pizza joint in El Prado - super close to Taos. Stopped by and enjoyed a fresh & delicious Caesar salad, and a very generously sized small Firecracker pizza (pepperoni, Canadian bacon, green chilies, and jalapeno). Excellent midnight snack later!

They never answer the phone for orders no matter how many times you call. My friends and I called 20 times over 2 hours and never got someone to answer. This business hates making money apparently.

Vegans and non-dairy dietary restrictions be aware. The standard pizza crust and spaghetti sauce both contain Parmesan cheese. The only crust without cheese is the gluten free option. This information was not conveyed until after we placed our order so be sure to verify ingredients when eating here.

Great local pizza/pasta place north of Taos. We went on a Friday night, and it was crowded. It is pretty small, but we ended up only waiting about 30 minutes for a table. You can order drinks from the front while you wait, and everyone seemed to be in a good mood chatting with each other. Waits would probably be better in the non-winter months, when outside tables are available. Pizza was very tasty, and the pasta came in very hearty portions. No one was disappointed with their food.

Wow! Great food service and atmosphere. Absolutely recommend stopping here if you’re in Taos!!! We tried the Cesar salad, house salad, buffalo wings, cheesy garlic bread, pasta pizza and chicken Parmesan. So you can’t go wrong with anything here!

Excellent dough, extra effort to re-prepare one of our large pizzas due to an oven issue. Only negative was the very liberal use of garlic, serving many whole roasted cloves!

I absolutely love Paisano's pizzas, their sandwiches and I do imagine their pasta is great...how ever, I was happy to see they had fish n chips on their menu...that sounded so good...I was so disappointed! Their fish was mostly batter...tasty but not satisfying...the lack of fish was kind of horrifying...I do have to say that their batter is wonderful, but wow, I would love it enclosing a good portion of fish!

Charlie and Nancy at Pizanos treat you like family! They spend the extra money to use only the highest quality ingredients!(100%pure cold pressed olive oil for example) Best pizza in North America. They also have the best gluten free crust I’ve ever had! After I was Hit by lightning, I couldn’t tolerate tomatoes and gluten/ they said,”no sweat! What would you like?” And they came up with the “Fullbright” a basil pesto, artichoke heart, chicken on gluten free crust! They even asked me in for a taste test on three new formulas for the dough! If you want the BEST Pizza outside of 🇮🇹 Italy- GO HERE! Best Chicken Salad too! I’ve been eating Only here for over 20 Years!! Love them💕⚡️🌎

Can't judge a book by its cover as the saying goes. The pizza produced here was beyond awesome! Gluten free crust for my wife is scratch made in the kitchen! So good. We started watching other people's food and saw many interesting food delivered to customer tables. Good choice of tab beer! You won't be disappointed I can tell you.

Went here last night with a friend that is local to the area. The pizza was delicious and the staff were friendly. We would definitely go back when we are in the area again.

My brother and I finally tried this place specifically to experience the fish and chips. Battered to order with Pabst Blue Ribbon batter. We discovered that this otherwise lackluster beer of our childhood is actually useful for something. It’s disappointing that the only porter on tap is Deschutes, while Taos Mesa has perhaps the best beer in New Mexico. Note to owner,please get some local beer on tap. Fish & chips are certainly the best in town. They are English pub style ( heavy and oily) and quite good. Outdoor dining with an excellent view of our local mountains is available.

Small place so there was a bit of a wait, but there was only a few people working, because it’s a small mountain town place to eat. The food was absolutely incredible, and the servers were hustling and doing their very best to get everyone served as fast as possible. Food was all made to order and absolutely worth the wait.

Displeased my pickup order was placed in a used plastic Walmart bag. It is ok if you want to reuse bags but not with my food that I paid for. It is a nice idea if Pizanos had their own takeout bags that haven't been used. Food presentation was good but the flavor was lacking and there was a presence of chemical taste in the food.

The pizza was good. The service can be improved. They aren't very friendly and they rush about in a harried state. The outdoor eating was nice until the wind stirred up and threw the pizza in our lap. They didn't offer us an indoor table at that point or another pizza. Nor did they even check to see if we were okay. It had good reviews but didn't meet expectations.

We were seated and forgotten about.. twenty minutes later when I tried to flag someone down (anyone) - no one and I mean no one would even look in our direction as they checked on nearby tables. We ended up walking out (table of 5) after waiting for 25 minutes and had zero service. Was so disappointed in the service and effort by staff because it looked like a place that had potential.

I have been coming here since the year they opened.. Tonight I came for some to go pizza and salad, delighted by the portion size, my salad was delicious, customer service top notch. I have always loved it here, happy to see it still has its original flavor! Highly recommend!

First time dining in this little place. I thought it was very bohemian & the food was good. The service was bad. We were forgotten about after our drink order was placed. Nothing got better until a woman took over, but it was too late.

Chill pizza place with a nice relaxing vibe.

The staff at Pizano's treated us like their own family. When unfortunate car trouble had us stranded at our airbnb without transportation very close to closing time and desperate for a good meal, they helped us get our order and the food was delicious. We cannot say enough good things about their kindness, customer service, and wonderful food.

Update: Charlie did right by me and put the wings in for 20 minutes which apparently is how long it takes to get them to my level of crispy. Thanks Charlie. Also the pizza is always good. Original: I have asked for crispy wings every time I go there because I’m from New York where the owners are from and I figured the wings would be done right but they are not. So tonight was my last night ordering their wings. Just so disappointed.

This is our favorite pizza place in Taos! The location is placed perfectly near the base of the mountains with the best views. I love sitting outside and enjoying the view and the great food. We brought our visiting family and friends, a party of 16, last Saturday late afternoon. Cozie, I’m sure I butchered the spelling, was a fantastic waitress. She took great care of all of us. Thank you for the best and most unique pizzas, good pastas, great calamari, and all else. Looking forward to our next visit.

Have yummy gluten free and vegan options which is more rare for pizza spots. Highly recommend sitting outside on the beautiful mountain view patio.

We’d been to a few places recommended inTaos and not overly impressed, happened to spontaneously pull in here after a long morning hiking, BINGO! Don’t let the simple looks of the exterior fool you, this was some of the best pizza we’ve ever had- and they even had a gluten free crust option for my hubby…& it was wonderful! Most especially were the folks working there… super nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend and we will be back!

Pizza is likely better in restaurant than take out. Both of our pizzas were so soggy we tried to crisp them up in the oven to no avail. There were so many ingredients piled onto the pizza it all fell off every bite. I really wanted to like this, maybe next time I’ll come in for sit down.

Stopped by coming back from Taos ski valley. Beautiful day! Read about Pizanos, decided to stop. Great place! Non descript, some local art, colorful. Service was friendly, attentive, unobtrusive. Had the blue corn calamari with Fritzies firecracker sauce, crispy, light, and delicious. Seasoned fries and a sandwich too full to eat. Looks delish though. Overall a great place to check out!

Huge portions... could've split the adult spaghetti and everybody would've been happy whether they wanted meatballs or not (keep this in mind if you don't have a fridge in your hotel room)! Salad was fresh, crisp, good blue cheese dressing on the side. Dad contemplated several options from the pizza menu. Server suggested The Mayor - Pesto base, chicken, onion, fresh tomato, salami, chipotle pepper (in adobo sauce), cilantro, and feta cheese. Boom! They took us to Flavor Town! Mom & Dad enjoyed the draft porter with dinner. Good variety of adult options of tap. Whole front of house staff were most kind and friendly. Owner brought out crayons and some paper plates for artistic creativity from our 7yr old. Fellow ice hockey player on staff chatted up same daughter about her weekend on the ice in Taos. If you want good Italian, funky decor, and friendly staff... this is your place. Highly recommended. We'll be back.

Best pizza in town! Try the Taosenio with Pepperoni. It also comes with mushrooms and green chile. I also add Canadian bacon. Incredible! Don't forget the Alien amber.

Bland pizza crust, but crispy. Good service

From the start this place had my heart, by the end it had my heart, stomach, mind and soul! The service was excellent! Thank you Kristen, you are amazing. To start…..The Caesar salad was the best I have ever eaten! Kristen informed me it’s their own recipe. A large means very large, shareable large! The chipotle tarter sauce rates right up there with the Caesar salad, I asked for extra! Everything that arrived (so quickly) at our table was delicious! The roasted garlic cloves on the Whitefeather Pizza were so YUMMY! Then add in the service and atmosphere….a no brainer on where we will be eating at on our next visit to Taos. Thank you for a great experience with such awesome food❤️

The Rio Grande pizza with a mixture of meats and veggies was delicious. Thin crust allows the toppings to be dominant flavors. A large for 2 people was way too much. To start we split a small house salad with mixed greens that was especially good with the house vinaigrette (this coming from a devoted ranch fan). Generous serving made the small salad size perfect. I don’t like beer, so was happy to see a cider on the menu, and I loved it! They also have wine, too. Pasta dishes are another option. Just a heads up they are closed Mon - Wednesday. And can’t forget the wait staff…they worked together as a team and were terrific!

Excellent pizza with a nice variety of specialty pizza options. I got the Taoseno with Italian sausage, an Antipasti salad, a GF pepperoni and regular pepperoni for my family. The GF is obviously a homemade crust, as they offer 2 sizes of pizza and GF bread sticks. If you're not a fan of the Udis crust that most pizza places use, Pizanos will really stand out from what you've had in the past. The dough for the regular pizzas is a nice consistency, maybe could use a tiny bit of sugar to improve the flavor, but still pretty tasty. The Antipasti salad was fresh and loaded with yummy ingredients. My only complaint is, the cheese and meat were sliced whole, like sandwich slices. We took it out and chopped it ourselves, to integrate it with mixed greens. That said, the salad was delicious and the dressing is unique and quite good. My celiac daughter was amazed when I ordered a large pizza for her. It's the first time she's been able to get a large pizza. Thank you for putting in some major effort to make the GF experience a special one! All said and done, this is an excellent place to eat and all the food we had was great. Will definitely eat here again next time we're in Taos.

Great little shop. The pizza was good and the house salad was fresh and great. We got a small pepperoni and green Chile for lunch and it was perfect for the two of us. We especially loved the view from the porch. We wish the fence wasn’t there ;)

This the best pizza crust we've had in a really long time. We had the Rio Grand minus the bell pepper. Our order was fast and exactly as we ordered. So very good. Service was good, could have used another waiter/waitress. The people that were there worked really well together for a smooth experience. Excellent pizza, cold beer and good service.

Due to some crazy circumstances and Labor Day Weekend crowds, we went to Pizanos 2 evenings in a row. Despite the holiday crowd, we got seated on the patio very quickly both nights. First night we had pasta with pesto and a very good hero sandwich, with Marble Desert Fog on tap. The second night three of us had beers and pizza, very good pizza in this native New Yorker's opinion. Despite short staffing, service was good. They all deserve a medal for waiting, serving, busing and running the cash register between two people!

I am a local. This was the worst service and rudest staff I have ever experienced. We will never eat there again.

Food was good. Only criticisms I have are lack of parking and the fact when I visited they were only accepting cash - a real pain.

I would of gave a 5 star... Food was delicious n atmosphere was beautiful. Busser was not helpful / no people skills n she seemed lost.. waitress was ok. Not greeted us with a smile. N seemed very distracted. Overall a good food.

I do not recommend this establishment. The food was so gross. The pizza felt like the cheese was microwaved to melt and it curdled. There’s also a lot of flour left on the bottom and some black burnt stuff that makes it from bad to worse. It’s too overpriced to be that bad.

This was a complete disappointment. Seated at a dirty table. Took an hour to get food. Dirty plates given for sharing the pizza. Pizza came out burnt. Pasta tasted prepackaged, not fresh. Side salad presentation was the highlight of the meal. There was little to no table service or follow up. Pick up orders were told it would be at least an hour.
