A great Irish pub. Good food and reasonably priced. Great burgers. Fairy small so you may have to wait, no more than 10 minutes on average. Nice atmosphere as well.

I have been here a few times and it always has a nice, comfortable atmosphere. The bar area is very small, so chances are that you’ll be standing on weekend evenings, but that’s fine if you know that and fancy a quick drink. Food is nice and of a good standard (think tacos, steaks, burgers etc) with service pleasant. Good spot for casual food or drink.

It's the quintessential Irish Pub! The food, especially the specials, are excellent. The atmosphere is just so warm and friendly as are the bartenders and servers.

Great authentic Irish pub. I am from Boston and this place is the real deal if you are looking for the Irish bar experience. Food is great, prices are reasonable, service is personal and efficient. You will be treated as a local. Make sure you say Hello to Uncle Matt when you get there!

Still the best onium soup in Bergen County. Shepherd's pie was outstanding. Burgers were good but not great. Service friendly and casual. Atmospheres "pubby" Nothing not to like

Terrible place and food will make you sick! Bartender is rude and inappropriate! Bartender kicked me and my partner out for kissing and yelled get a room! I’ve never been so disappointed and disrespectfed!

The bartender was not only rude but made a spectacle of himself. I was with a date and we shared a couple kisses. The bartender then loudly announced that “We should get a room”. Said that we were grabbing each others “Asses”. Wish that was true but it wasn’t. Then he proceeded to tell us to “ get the F out”. Completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Even if he is the owner, that type of behavior should keep EVERYONE away from this place. Someone without self control would have knocked his rude self out.

As close to an authentic Irish bar as you will find. Fish and chips... A little meh...

My sister and I had lunch here. Ordered the “famous” sliced steak on rye with Fries. It is famously Bad. Microwaved sliced round, awful presentation and taste. The meat tasted old, bland and microwaved, gross. I didn’t eat it just a bit of fries which were good. Took the beef home for my dog. They need to up their game and update their menu. My sister had the salmon with string beans, and mashed potato which to me tasted rancid, again old food. She liked her meal. (I think she was being polite ). The string beans looked gray/old reheated. Very disappointed. The waitress although friendly didn’t have much knowledge of the menu. Also she never asked how the meal was just came with the check after we went looking for her to get it. Seems this place is more of a watering hole. Don’t expect good food.

Came back to the area for a visit & had to go an old haunt. It is the same friendly place with good food. Just as I remembered!

Delicious food, fast service, and really comfortable atmosphere

The place is small older but very crowded the bar was full the food wasn't the greatest but we only had two things so I'd give it a try again. Oh the chili was good!!

This place has a friendly atmosphere, a great bar, and great food. A few weeks ago I had one of their specials, which was a kielbasa reuben sandwich and it was excellent. We’ll definitely be back.

Always feel welcome going in solo or meeting friends. Onion Soup warms you from the aromatic smell. All soups home made. Ruben is outstanding! All the bartenders & Luke, the owner, go the extra mile to know you & make sure you're happy!

Waited 45 minutes for a French onion soup (which was a smaller portion and bigger price) and the spinach salad was blah. Very disappointed. Probably won't go back.

The union soup is still outstanding; my wife said the slice steak was good, but not as good as in the past. I had the Shepheard's pies wich was very good. service was friendly and attentive. Welcome back !!

Drinks are good. The staff here are kind and funny. I don’t live in the area anymore but I love stopping by with friends when I’m in the neighborhood.

Waitresses were attentive and polite, food was good and wanted everything on the menu. The outdoor seating was cozy and parking is free in the lot across the street.

Been eating here for years highly recommended Covid or not always great pub food and great beer on tap. Luke always checking to make sure alls well. Highly recommend.

P.J. Finnegan's is my very favorite Irish Pub in Bergen County. Easily the best place in New Jersey to enjoy the good company of friends while enjoying a good glass of Guinness or a few shots of Irish whiskey. Slainte!

Wow - the vodka gimlets were better than I remembered. It was so good to get back, and to be able to sit outside on a nice sunny afternoon. The drinks came out full in a water glass so you could pour your own and they were very very generous in size and in price. So many people started coming in after 5 and all of the outside seats were already taken. A great go-to pub with wonderful food, great service and nice people!

The Dublin Steak Sandwich is worth the visit!

My family has loved this place for a while but this was my first time there. As a vegetarian I am very impressed. The portions are huge, the drinks are great, and their outdoor seating was relaxing. Two people who I believe were the owners came over to welcome us and check on us with great conversations. Cannot wait to share Finnegan's with my friends, and come back for more. PJs is our favorite restaurant in Westwood! Whether we are ordering out or dining outside the food is always delicious and service is great. We love the atmosphere and how welcoming everyone is. Highly recommend!

We have ordered take-out several times from PJ Finnegan’s and each time my husband has picked it up, he is so impressed with the extra safety measures that they are taking and the politeness and helpfulness of Luke and all of the employees. Food and drinks are always great and knowing that they care so much about their guests’ safety keeps us coming back!

PJ's always exceeds its reputation for hospitality, fun pub food, and Irish comfort--even during COVID. Look for JFK in every room!

It's been a while since we dined here....methinks they changed the menu and maybe raised prices a bit. The union soup is still outstanding...slide steak is good. Service is ok, atmosphere is authentic Irish pub....crowd is congenial. Soup, sliced steak and wine came to $62.00 before tip....

Best food, super friendly staff members, regularly excellent atmosphere. They charge reasonable prices and the food quality is fantastic. I recommend this place.

Love this little place in a great little town. It gets busy and is small, the only reason I'll lower the star rating and that not even their fault. Go here on the weekend and the wait could be a while but worth it. Typical american / irish pub fare with that amazing irish country feel. The food is great, and they have guiness, can't ask for much more than that out of an irish pub! Highly recommend the Dublin Steak Sandwhich!

Great food at reasonable prices

Was looking for a cozy little pub and found it here. Bartender was personable as were the patrons. After a couple of drinks moved to the dinning area for a delicious dinner that was also reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again.

Monday lunch with Family. Menu was decent and typical for pub fare. Service was poor in both attentiveness and attitude. Like, why bother me, I'm just here because I need a paycheck. Kitchen must have had the same people as my Panini came out as a sandwich that was toasted. Not worth the long wait to get it. Ambiance was typical pub pretending it was in Ireland. An uncle who lives in the area said this was an off day for the place. I would not be in a hurry to return.

I miss my old favorite "Mushrooms Finnegan" but it's still a great casual, rustic place for drinks and tasty corned beef options!

What a wonderful GEM! Loved my visit to this Irish Pub! I felt at home in this pub, like I was in Ireland, upon walking in the door. Dripping with charm, nostalgia and character while not being overdone. Had several great brews including a well poured Guinness Stout with a delicious creamy head. The menu is vast, making it easy for a group to all find something that rocks their boat. I had a tender and drool worthy braised lamb shank with mash potatoes. A Red Rueben was also ordered and well excluded. A wonderful Shepherds pie also was served to our table and dripping with Irish comfort food charm.
