One of my favorite places. Has been consistently excellent for years and years. It’s hard to beat the Gyro Salad. Mmmm.

This place is always delicious! We love their Gyros platters and the atmosphere and service is very nice!

The food was amazing - everything we ordered was good. Gyros, roast chicken, green beans, potatoes, french fries, chocolate cake - all of it. Servers were quick and polite. I will probably dress nicer the next time I come, because even though it doesn't cost too much, it feels expensive. Really nice way to treat yourself without going broke.

The gyro is great! Super busy during lunch but grabbed a Togo order fast. Excellent service.

The best gyro you can get in the area... Maybe even in TX. I haven't had greek food this good since leaving Chicago and my kid who just spent the summer in Greece said that it is just as good as anything he had over there

The “wow” for greek food. Don’t get me wrong, here in Dallas, Plano and Frisco you can find good Greek restaurants; but this one is well over good, it is “wow” level. Everything we ordered was superb and the waiter was super attentive and sweet. The Mana Mou which has a bit of everything was delicious, the waiter recommended changing the chicken for lamb and boom… “wow” level. And the atmosphere was like going into a restaurant in Greece (we’ve been there) instead of the typical just type of functional place you find around

Fantastic food made fresh and quickly with great service as well! I got the Mana Mou platter (pastitsio, dolmades, chicken souvlaki, gyros, tzatziki and pita bread) and wife got the Avgolemono (creamy broth of chicken and rice with a hint of lemon). Everything was very tasty and service was courteous and quick!

The food is as authentic as it gets! Absolutely delicious! Such a quaint restaurant with friendly service to make the experience even more delightful! The baklava is a MUST!

The best Greek food i have had in the States so far. I personally thanked the owner after my husband and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch. This meal took me back on memory lane right from the main course and I found myself almost tearing once I took a bite of the Galaktobouriko (dessert) as it brought back so many memories. Wonderful meal with attentive staff. We will definitely be back and I’ll certainly bring my mom next time once she comes visit from overseas!

I think this place is the most authentic Greek restaurant I have been into. My husband and I ordered Saganaki as appetizers. They are wonderful. After having Saganaki here with Pita bread, I do not think I will ever be able to see Pita bread the same. It just goes so well together. I ordered Ktapodi and Avgolemono Soup as my meal - The soup is creamy, and just had the right amount of lemon taste to it. The grilled octopus in red wine sauce is moist, tender, and flavorful. But since I had the soup with sour taste, I just wish the Ktapodi was a little less sour since I feel little overwhelmed with the sour taste at few last bites of the octopus, next time I will order just either one, not both at the same time. My husband ordered Brizola Steak and he enjoyed every bites of it. All staff are very kind, nice and super polite. Even though the restaurant was very crowded, we did not feel rushed at all. Overall, we are very happy with our choice of supporting this local Greek restaurant. We will be back and try different dishes and desserts. Definitely recommended!

Awesome place for Greek! Service is on point and interior is nice. Can’t go wrong with anything here. Favorites include Greek salad, Lentil soup, Brizola steak, Gyros, Greek potatoes. You won’t regret coming here. Prices are fair as well.

It was our first visit to Platia Greek Kouzina for a friend's birthday dinner. We had the chicken and steak entrees which were delicious! Would definitely visit again!

We were impressed with the food! It was presented well and very tasty. Nice environment and good service.

I’ve a soft corner for family owned businesses and this is no different. We had to wait for a while because we were a party of six, however, the food service was so prompt and quick. Fresh and delicious food at the table. I had the haddock which was cooked to perfection and our party of six dived into the lamb shank which was so juicy and falling off the bone. We wrapped up our meal with their chocolate cake and I still cannot stop thinking about it- so soft and creamy and utterly decadent! Loved our first visit and it will definitely not be our last!

OKAY. HEAR ME OUT- *so far* BEST AUTHENTIC GREEK Restaurant in DFW. we’ve been on the hunt for good Greek food and we found finally found a real review worthy resto! MUST ORDER: SAGANAKI, DOLMADES, KTIPITI, GREEK VILLAGE SALAD, SOKOLATINA- absolute chefs kiss!! The feta, tomatoes, ktipiti, pita was so fresh and honestly swiping the plate absolutely clean worthy! We also ordered the Octopus & skirt steak which were good but the apps definitely were the star of the show. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend are the Greek potatoes, they tasted like ordinary baked potato. It was very dry, I was looking for Greek lemon potatoes that are submerged in a lemon olive oil broth with oregano & salt. The Galaktobouriko was served warmed drizzled in a honey syrup- divine. I’ve had better galaktobouriko but this was great, the custard was different than typically. that being said- the sokolatina was soooo moist and the perfect amount of very sweet and Fresh!! Wait was not even 20 min on a Saturday night. Super sweet staff. Definitely will visit again.

Food was low class and low quality. Lamb was overcooked, fries were below average, and rice was pretty bad.

Great restaurant! The restaurant felt very home-like which I really liked. We got in really quickly on a Tuesday afternoon and were well attended by the staff. The food was very good! I could not stop eating the pita 😋. Definitely a fun spot to visit in Frisco!

Best Greek salad you will ever put in your mouth

Did take-out. Food was ready in 15 min. Calamari was light and tasty. Gyro sandwiches had plenty of meat and delicious.

Platia (pla-tee-ah) is a lovely sit-down restaurant. It can be a little loud at times as surrounding conversations ebb and flow, but you can still have a good conversation with whomever you are with. My husband loves lamb dishes, and he had several to choose from. We will definitely be coming back on a Friday or Saturday night for their lamb special. I got the moussuka since I love eggplant dishes. This is a hidden gem for sure.

My favorite Greek restaurant in the area! Not much thought has gone into their plating, because their emphasis is on the taste! BYOB with a small corkage fee (I would recommend a bottle of wine for the table - one fee, and NOT multiple bottles of beer - multiple fees).

The food was delicious! We had the Chicken Slovakia and Gryo platters with their green beans and roasted potatoes. With large portions! Yum!

My wife suggested this establishment because she searched for authentic Greek cuisines. We paid this place a visit on a Friday. We were promptly greeted and seated. This place had a mediterranean vibe and music playing, which gave of a mediterranean feel. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the octopus, calamari, gyro, fries, and hummus.The dishes rolled out quickly. The calamari was very fresh, crisp outside & soft inside. The octopus was out of this world delicious. The gyro was very flavorful and seasoned with love. Fries were extremely hot & tasty. These were some of the best Greek cuisines I have ever experienced. We will definitely be back!

Excellent Greek salad with steak and haddock. Super, super sweet Baklavas (as it should be!) and Greek coffee are a great combo. We made the right choice to arrive early on Friday. The line gets long by 6pm.

Could be great. Baklava was the best I've had, and I've been to Greece seven times. Hummus, tzatsiki, and red pepper feta dips were great. Service was sloppy; didn't listen; got order wrong. Biggest issue is my MR lamb chops ($34 for lunch) were well done. Waiter never checked. But I'll give them one more try.

Some of the yummiest Greek food ever! Started off with the Melitzanosalata with pita bread and honestly I could eat that stuff with a spoon! If you've never tried eggplant before I would recommend getting this if you're curious. I ordered the yia-yia kota and the chicken was so tender and delicious and paired well with the Greek potatoes and green beans. I'm not really a fan of green beans, but the green beans served here are really good! They're simmered in a tomato sauce and I think that's why I liked them. My aunt ordered the Avgolemono soup and next time I will be ordering that. The soup is creamy with rich flavor and a hint of lemon. For dessert we got the baklava sundae and the baklava was homemade. I left this place happy with the food I had ordered.

Delicious authentic Greek food!

I walked in on a last minute google search and just to keep it safe I ordered a gyro and fries to go. OMG so good. Their fries are creamy inside, crunchy outside like the ones I had in Greece. If you've ever had the souvlaki pitas with the creamy fries wrapped inside in Athens then you know! I plan to go back and get the chicken souvlaki sandwich next. Sorry, I didn't get any pictures to post, I inhaled my sandwich. I can say the restaurant decor and atmosphere look cozy. This would be a good place for family dinners or date night.

Average food, and good service.

Amazing food. We got the saganaki, brizola steak, moussaka, kid's chicken skewers. The side green beans were yummy, but the real star is the side of greek potatoes. We visited from out of town and this was such a great meal since we don't have places like this back home.

Outstanding unique food. Everything was awesome. 10 month later, ate here again. Every bit as fabulous as before. The skirt steak and dolmatas are the stars.

Great food quality however, the portions are way too small. Literally, there was one spoon of rice on my plate. Maybe a quarter of a pita bread. You guys can do better.

I just went to Athens Greece during spring break and the food was incredible. I went to Platia hoping to recreate those food memories and it did not disappoint! We started with the flaming cheese and octopus. Then I ordered the gyro for my entee. The flaming cheese was a spectacle and really cool. They actually light it on fire. The grilled octopus was incredible; tender, not rubbery at all and intense lemon flavor. My gyro was excellent. The meat was cut in a different way than it was on Greece so at first I wasn't sure it would be as tasty but it was! The tzatziki sauce, tomato, pit, meat combo was just like I remembered. My only complaint is how far away this place is from where I live, otherwise I would be a regular!

The food is great. However, if you order to go check your food, make sure everything you paid for is there. My sides were missing. They ensured everything we ordered was there, when we were starting to check it. After the 45 min drive home i saw my sides were not there. called to let them know they said to come back to get the sides there sitting on the counter and they missed it. I told them we live 45 mins away and cant just go back. I paid $23 for my food and the lady up front called my 2 sides that i didn't get "small" like i shouldn't even been calling to say i didn't get my sides cuz they wouldn't make a difference thats about 1/3 of my food i didn't get and to have her tell me there just small sides annoys me its not her money wasted for food she didn't get.

Wonderful! Amazing owners, staff, and food.

Food was delicious, unfortunately I ended up getting sick after the lamb souvlaki plate. I had the potatoes and the Lima beans sides. It was delicious going down however, it made me sick a few hours later for about 36 hrs (lunch on 5/10/2024). It was classic food poisoning. I took a bunch of activated charcoal and kept my electrolytes up and everything was good about 24 hrs later just some fatigue for 12 more. So let’s make sure the lamb is fully cooked (well done) next time. 36 hrs later my appetite is coming back. I think I would be willing to try it again sometime but it will be a while before I go back and I probably won’t be getting the lamb again. It was a very cool place, great atmosphere and the service was fast and great!

Fantastic spot for some Greek flavors. The calamari was very fresh, light, and crisp. Greek potatoes, steak and falafel dishes were also fresh and very flavorful. The baklava cheesecake was ridiculously good! Overall, a great experience. Thank you!

Everything was top notch from start to finish - eggplant & garlic dip w/pita, braised lamb shank, Avgolemono lemon soup, to the perfect chocolate ganache cake - Sokolatina! Perfection!

Eating out isn't all about food anymore especially If you want to eat out in peace. Soon as I arrived, I was asked if I can just get to-go instead of dining in since it was 30 minutes to close. I literally had to beg to just eat appetizer and hurry up and leave. Ironically, after sitting down I found other patrons just about to order smh** The whole time the owner or management and other staff stared at me and ignored me so I left after about 5 minutes of sitting there. Long story short I wanted to try something new so I picked this place but I wish I would just picked my usual Zorbas or maybe something new like darna's I heard the staff is super nice!! ehh If you're thinking about Platia just ignore this place and move and try out darna's or zorba or even the other 100 Greek or Mediterranean spots near by!!

The food was amazing! We got the combination platters and shared. Not generally a fan of tzaziki, but this was so good! The best spanokopita I have had and the falafel was moist and delicious! Boy ate chicken souvalaki and rice and ate everything! We will be back.

The food was VERY delicious and I would get the gyros and pita bread. The service was awesome and the waiters were very nice and came and checked on us frequently. The atmosphere was very Greek and nice to look at.10/10 100% Totally worth driving 2 hour round trip!👍

Went there with my 3 friends and we had Brizola Steak, Lamb Souvlaki Platter, Yia-Yia’s Kota and Snapper. The one we liked least is Yia-Yia’s Kota, may be because we always eat chicken. Everything else was very tasty. Entrees are just enough for one person. Our total amount was $88.12.

This was excellent. The Saganaki had a crust shell and melty inside. Beef prizola wrap was flavorful, gyro platter was plentiful and the meat on point. The feta fries were a highlight. Fountain drinks. We also got a baklava cheesecake to share (more cheesecake with baklava shaving on top) and espessro after - tab $60. Great server 'Cudi' was very attentive even during lunch rush on a Saturday.

On first glance, the reviews are pretty good. I was craving some decent food and it was about 6:45 pm on Friday night. There was a wait for indoors. I thought this was a good sign. We sat outside. The service was fine, but not memorable. The calamari is not natural. They do not serve "sandwiches" on the weekends at night, so the falafel pita I was craving was out of question. I had to settle for a huge vegetarian platter for $11 more. They charge $35 for some dinner plates, and serve the dips in BALLPARK paper cups. The drink glasses are clear plastic cici's cups, but I would much rather go to cici's after this tragedy. The hummus was unspectacular, the spanikopita was one huge slice. I had a small handful of crumbs of fries. I am so underwhelmed and not enjoying this overpriced and overrated spot.

I’ve been going to Platia for many many years and it NEVER disappoints. A true measure of an excellent restaurant is its ability to produce consistently good food on every occasion. I’ve been to Greek restaurants in many cities in the north (Detroit, Chicago and yes, even the dinners of NJ) and Platia is above them all. They make excellent food and it’s a very good value. I’ve not eaten anything that does not taste homemade and fresh. If you have not been here, you’re missing out on a great meal

Wait staff put up with an acquaintance that was a certified moron. So kudos to them. Food is delicious and wait staff are patient.

Terrible customer service. The lady at the reception was not only ignorant about service animals, but disrespectful making non sense excuses to not allow service dogs to their patio. She was challenging with non sense questions about a Texas verified service dog, when I have a federal ID which she refused to see. They need to educate their staff. They just lost our business and will never go back.

Food and service were excellent. Would highly recommend the spicy pepper and whipped feta app, as well as the Mana Mou combo platter for a nice variety to try.

foods always good but bad service. this has happened more than once so im writing this. you sit someone down you dont tell them "we shouldn't have sat you", just because i was waiting on a friend. she was running a little late, but i mentioned it was going to be two of us from the start. then after the food came we kept being asked if we needed anything else 3/4 times by different servers, they kept trying to take our plate away even if i was slowly working on it, or someone asked if we needed togo boxes,like it was really frustrating, because they were rushing us to leave. me and my friend had to wrap it up way earlier than we had planned. we eat your food and pay for it, please stop rushing customers out just so you dont have long wait times.

Genuinely the best gyro I've had in my life, it's affordable, well made, properly spread, and seriously delicious. If you're thinking about trying Platia, definitely go have some, you won't regret it.

I am not sure if the food tastes different indoors but our take home food had no flavor at all and nobody in the family liked their food.

Love everything about this place!

We had the steak Gyros. The flavor/seasoning was awesome. I’ve had plenty of gyros from many places and this has to be the best I’ve had. Told everyone who looking for a place to try to go here. Next time we are in town it will definitely be a destination stop

I love asking for recommendations of international cuisine, especially when it is family owned. The owner told me the two bests things on the menu are “The Steak, and everything else on the menu” The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection, my wife got the YaYa’s Chicken and I will tell you, I’ve never had chicken that perfectly seasoned and moist in my entire life. Even the rice on the kids plate was delicious and full of flavor. If you plan on going on the weekend, get there before 5 or else you will wait an hour because it is that busy! Love Platia and it is a staple for family and friends that visit us!

Really fresh and tasty Greek food. 4 of us enjoyed a great lunch. Crowded for a reason, but got us in fairly quick. Will return!!

Nice and as close to Greek as you can get in North Texas. The atmosphere is close to authentic with decor and music. Food for the most part and for the price point was good. A huge bonus is the BYOB option. Will definitely be back!

Our favorite Greek place, hands down. Courteous friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere and great food. I haven't had anything here I wouldn't get again. For something you don't find most places, try Ya-Ya's Kota. DO NOT skip dessert! UPDATE: All these years later and it's still amazing. We don't live near by anymore, but this place is a great reason to go to Frisco!!

The chicken platter was delicious and all the food was fresh. Restaurant gets busy so take a reservation if you decide to go. We ended up waiting an hour without reservation.

I love going there for the vegetarian dishes, it is absolutely delicious!! The Chocolatina cake is amaze.

This is a favorite for my family. They have the best calamari in town, cooked just right as to not be chewy. The gyro is also very good. My mom loves the braised lamb and the spread sampler is always good too. On nice weather days, love to sit outside. Not a big place, so often full, but worth the wait.
