I wanted to write about an experience my family and I had a few weeks ago at this restaurant. TLDR; it was one of the most expensive yet truly disappointing dining experiences we've had. We went to Texas de Brazil to celebrate a birthday and to just have the whole family together. There were eight of us there so at around $50 a person, it was a $450+ dinner. We made a reservation online - there were plenty available for this Sunday night, all the way up to 10PM - so we thought okay awesome, they won't be crowded and we'll get the full experience (it was the first time trying an american/brazilian steakhouse like this for many of us). Our reservation was for 7:30PM. When we got there, we were seated at the very front of the restaurant. Our server was nice, seemed personable, and asked us if we were there celebrating anything. He also talked about how the dining experience there worked, getting to try all different kinds of meats in various cooking styles with a large salad/sides bar. We were excited to dig in. As the carvers start to come around, they keep telling us "Oh this is the last of it!" even though we were not the only ones in the restaurant. Last of the flank steak, last of the filet that wasn't cooked until it was nearly black. Those were two of our favorite things that we just got pretty much scraps of. Safe to say at this point, we were all still starving and wanting more food. One of the carvers comes out to tell us they're very low on meat and that the kitchen was closing - this was 8PM, we had just been seated 30 minutes before. Why would you accept a reservation for 7:30PM if you planned to shut down the kitchen right after? We asked that exact question to another server - our server was no where to be found - and she had an incredibly horrible attitude with us. She said that they were shutting down the kitchen because there was no 8:30PM reservation. That if there was another party coming in, they'd make more meat to serve them and to serve us. When we asked why this was because we had hardly gotten any food at all, she threw her hands up, rolled her eyes, and said "I'm not y'all's server" and stormed away. Talk about a welcoming environment when, again, we paid so much money to be there. As she's not being helpful at all for us, I see behind her that they're taking down the salad and the side bar. So at this point, there's literally no food left for us to even pick at and it's only 8PM. Our server finally comes back and we essentially have to beg for more cheese rolls so we can fill up on something. We expressed our disappointment to the server while also understanding it's not necessarily his fault, it's a horrible policy this location or all TDB locations have. Also, remember how he asked if we were celebrating anything? Like, how most places offer up a small dessert or some other gesture to say thanks for coming in? When asked about it, he said "Oh no, we don't do anything on the house." Later in the week, my mother-in-law reached out to corporate about the situation. She hoped to rightsize the situation so we could try another Texas de Brazil location in good faith and hopefully have a good time. Instead of being helpful, they disregarded her and offered a $20 gift card. There was no real acknowledgment of the situation, apology, gratitude for our patience with what happened, etc. An offer of $20 to make things right on a $450+ dinner is about 4.5%. We are incredibly disappointed with the experience at the restaurant and how the situation has been handled since then. We'd urge you all not to spend your money celebrating anything at this restaurant.

This is a spacious place, I visited on my birthday , but not a favorable gathering place anymore, DJ was good👍 , security always friendly, waitress nice, mix drinks watered down.👎but the front door clerk( she receives cover charge money) not friendly or welcoming at all no smile or enthusiasm, carpet needs replacing,👎 food was ok..the energy at front door sets the tone and keep people coming or never return👎💃💃👀

The bouncer here made fun of me because my shorts were too long. It really hurt my feelings. I really wanted to enjoy a night of revelry after my girlfriend broke up with me, but I was struck down by life yet again. I'll never be back on my feet, and that bouncer is culpable. If Gary still works there, tell him to stop sending pokes to me on Facebook. I don't poke people. Not anymore.

This was one of the best meals I've had in a long time! I skipped the salad bar and all of the sides except a little bit of mashed potatoes. The meats were great, especially the flank steak. The filet mignon was very good as well. The ribs not so much. So if you want to get your money's worth, just eat the meat! The meat carvers were great. Our server and the hostess on duty were lacking in personality. But if you are looking for awesome, tender meat, it's well worth the price!

The disappointment can in the serving of the meats, we see gauchos come from the kitchen and pass our table we are close to the kitchen, when they came more than once the meat was tough and or dry last years about the same for the money, we spent we should have better quality. time to regroup, is anyone watching plates going to the dish room or you don't care because you got your money, might be time to do something different.

First of all, I come on Tuesdays nights and the Atmosphere is very nice. I went on February 3rd with that being said I understand by that is the first time it opened on a Saturday night. Y'all going to have to change a lot of things. Y'all need to open all doors to come in and the DJ needs to be in the front. Just like y'all have on Tuesdays and have both sides of the club open because some people can not handle the smoke in the back. If people want to smoke let them go to the back. I had a friend in the long line for a long time and he said people were leaving because standing in the long line. Come on the club going to be back closed again if y'all don't change things. If you catch people smoking in the front tell them to go to the back and if you see them smoking after you told them to go to the back and smoke then y'all put them out.

I can't believe that they don't serve liquor from the bottle, and the liquor selection is horrible. I see why I only go there when it's our high school's alumni week. Back in the day, this was the place to go for fun times and good drinks, oh well, I guess 1 out of 2 is ok for some people, just not me. Can't spend my $$ in a night club that has only 1 or 2 top shelf liquors.

We had reservations for 5:45 on a Saturday and were seated right on time. The decor is beautiful, and the table was plenty large enough for our party of 5. I don't see why anyone would hit the salad bar when they bring plenty of sides to your table--garlic mashed potatoes, french fries, rolls, and fried bananas. The selection of meat is almost overwhelming. I wish they would be more attentive to the Stop/Go coasters you put out when you want more or want to pause a bit, as otherwise they seem to overwhelm you with the meats. Some of the cuts were a bit undercooked for my taste (almost rare, and I prefer my meat medium well) and that is the main reason I am docking one star. The service was excellent and the waitress kept our water glasses filled. There are desserts offered, but to me if you have room for one you haven't done your job!

Probs with unexplained closure midweek- former big fan, had reservations for son’s birthday, drive 50 miles to find restaurant closed. No email, no call, no text. I felt like I was rushed the whole time. While eating a full plate of salad and Charcuterie items they were offended that I didn’t want meat at that time. Don’t even bother with your green/red signs for the meats, they are gonna bombard you no matter what. The meat was good, but for the price, I would rather eat at a nice quiet steak house.

One of the hostess is absolutely rude, my husband and I went to dinner last weekend and she was rude and this weekend my husband went to pick up a to go order and she was rude again.

I was disappointed with our dining experience. The only thing that was positive was our server was very attentive and sweet. I definitely did not get my $50 worth of food. I tried the bacon wrapped filet and it was so nasty, I had to get up and go spit it out in the bathroom (bacon wasn't cooked and the filet tasted weird). The parmesan pork was great but it only came around once and I asked for more but never got it. The gauchos did not pay attention to the red/green cards on the table at all. The floor was very slippery. 2 people in our party almost fell. So sad we spent $250 for a very subpar meal. I would never eat here again.

Our party was there for my daughter's 23rd birthday. We were a party of 5 with 2 of the 5 arriving separately. We had to wait for those 2 to arrive before we were seating-which was only slightly aggravating because the restaurant was half empty. However, the bartender (I neglected to get his name) was charming and entertaining so my daughters did not care about waiting. Once seated, our server was sweet Amsi, but it was evident really early that she was new...like maybe been there 2 weeks or less new. The lower star for service was not her but because it did not seem like any of the other servers or the two managers working that night cared to help her not flounder. She was doing the best she could but had a difficult table behind us, but she kept a smile on her face and kept doing her best. Now our meat guy-and I say our because I swear he brought 90% of the meat our table consumed-Ben, was marvelous! He was a sweetheart as well but also so entertaining. My daughter (the birthday girl) insisted on telling Ben and Amsi goodbye and thank you for making her birthday dinner (her 1st time at Texas de Brazil) so wonderful. I can't speak on the alcoholic drinks or cost of the beverages because I only had water, I was NOT there to fill up on Dr. Pepper or alcohol. The food however....I was a little nervous based on the mixture of reviews, the quality of food must really just depend on what night you go (we went on a Tuesday night). The chicken was well seasoned, our sides were hot, the salad bar was full, every single steak option (flank, sirloin, spicy, parmesan, bacon wrapped, etc.) was cooked to perfection. I kept waiting for the one that just 'wasn't for me' but they were ALL wonderful. My youngest (6 years old) said the lamb was her favorite. If you have a bad experience, I would say it MAY be a fluke and, if you can afford to do so, give it another try. We absolutely loved it!

I am not surprised by the high reviews. I believe inspiration and quality starts from the top down. After meeting general manager Fabio, I understand this is the reason why. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted warmly and treated very well. Traveling on business as a single business woman I feel I am sometimes discriminated against. That was NOT the case at this restaurant. I was seated at the table/environment I requested. EVERY server was wonderful. Very attentive pleasant and friendly. Paola and Jose took very good care of me. Excellent! I could not recommend this establishment enough. I will definitely be back!

This is not a review of the food because we never got any. We reserved a table, the reservation was confirmed and we attended on time. We were a little shocked on arrival to find a packed crowd in the tiny reception area. We made ourselves known to one of the staff who "checked us in" but then we were left standing shoulder to shoulder with somewhere between 30 and 40 people who all said that they had reservations. After 20 mins of standing without being offered a drink or anywhere to sit and wait, we made further enquiries with a staff member. However, we were met with some hostility from the staff. They said they couldn't find us on their system. I pointed on the screen to our names and they reluctantly agreed that we had a reservation and were "booked in" but could not give us a timescale for being seated. We had some time to observe the restaurant and there was hardly any food circulating and it looked like people were having difficulty getting any service so, after 30 mins of waiting, when we heard that there was space in the restaurant next door, we left, only to be reported to OpenTable (the booking agent) as a "no show". A restaurant should never be in a situation where they are accepting dozens of reservations for tables that they do not have and no doubt could not service.

We’ve been to this location several times over the years and it was one of our favorites. We were visited over the next hour plus by only 6 meat servers which sounds like a lot if you don’t realize that they are serving only a couple bites of food each and we weren’t interested in the chicken, pork or lamb so we basically got 3 small servings of steak and a sausage. There were long stretches where there were no meat servers on the floor at all and when they did appear it was only with enough to serve maybe 2 tables. After sitting quite a while with no food ignored by our waitress I finally stopped the waitress and asked her to send over some meat servers. Nothing happened. We stopped the waitress twice more over the next half hour to ask for food and received nothing. Finally we gave up and asked for the check, paid and left with all of us hungry. Another table of 4 left at the same time and they too were very disappointed in the service and overall lack of service, quality and food.
