Pleasant USED to be our absolute favorite pizza place. Recently they got new owners and I don't know what they did, but it's not as good anymore. We've gotten it twice since new owners took over and they definitely changed the crust recipe. It used to be this delicious buttery and not too crunchy crust, but now it's just bland and flavorless. A total disappointment now.

I really hate to change my previous review which was stellar. However, I just can't say that I have been too thrilled with Pleasant Pizza since ownership switched hands. The sauce on the pizza just tastes too salty compared to how it once was. I was willing to let it slide but, upon the last order I made I got burnt wings. With the prices of what I paid, granted inflation has touched all restaurants, I just found to to be beyond disappointing. Although my wings were replaced, I just wish that I could have gotten a more heartfelt apology at least. Not to mention the wait time for my wings to be ready, I was told 10 minutes wait. I drove down after waiting 10 minutez only to find that my wings hadn't even been dropped yet. I feel like Pleasant Pizza needs to step their game back up before I return to give them my business.

Worst Pizza I’ve had in CT Double the estimated wait time. They use Frozen Pizza Crust and then burn it which turns it into a rubbery burnt mess. They also force you to leave a Tip.

Great food and a really nice atmosphere outside.

Ordered their thin crust and for $24 I thought it would be good but it was burnt and chewy at the same time. Literally hurt my jaw to eat it. Definitely not worth it

Pleasant pizza used to be my favorite pizza spot in town. It’s now under new ownership and the quality has really taken a hit. The Buffalo chicken pizza seemed like sliced deli meat thrown on a pizza. The mozzarella sticks burned and all the cheese coming out. It’s a big disappointment. I hope new owners can take note and try to do better QAQC and return to the quality we all have come to expect.

A year ago I posted a positive review of this business which I must now rescind. Unsure if they have new owners, new management or just employees that don't care. Frequently they do not pick up phone, multiple attempts are common. There is always a problem placing the order, they struggle to understand what is being said. The wonderful balance the pizzas had, regarding the ratio of bread to sauces, to toppings, and cheese is gone. In its place there is too much cheese and way to many toppings! The last few pizzas have been like this. The pizza we purchased this weekend was thrown in the garbage after eating a few pieces. Finally; in the past there were friendly faces that seemed like owners, or at least had a vested interest in the business. They are gone and have been replaced with sullen minimum wage employees. We won't be back for awhile, if ever.

Excellent all the way around!!! The food was fresh and there was so much flavor!! We neglected to grab my garlic parmigian chicken tenders, so we called back and let them know we would be back for them, and they were apologetic for them being missed! We went back, and they made us a fresh batch!!! They were so good with plenty of flavor, including real cheese and whole freash roasted garlic cloves!!! I love garlic, so this was awesome to me!! The grilled chicken salad was fresh, crisp, large, and delicious! The cheesy bread sticks were bursting with flavor and cheese all the way to the edges!!! I can't say enough good things about the food, and the service was even better!!! We talked to Tammy for a bit, she's one of the owners, she was great! Pleasant pizza is the right name.....we had a pleasant experience all the way around!! We live an hour away and just happened to be looking for a place to grab dinner. I'm so glad we found Pleasant Pizza.....an hour away, and I will be going back!!!

Ordered delivery and got moldy food. Drove back to get a replacement, they mentioned giving a refund but never received one. Definitely defeated the purpose of ordering delivery. Check your food before consuming, extremely disturbing considering their reputation

Love love love this pizza! They have some really unique pizzas. Definitely recommend trying it out.

We've had their pizza in the past & found it to be pretty good. So their joint is on the way to some friends house we were going to so great, we'll order a couple grinders & pick them up on the way. Call ahead to order & the young lady that answered the phone says " we don't make grinders". Interesting seeing that if you go to their website, there's a pic of the store with a large sign right at the front door - HOT OVEN GRINDERS. Guess they're off the order out list.

Too salty and too oily, I was very disappointed.

Wow, so good I forgot to take any photos, next time I will restrain myself and take some delicious looking photos that your gonna wish you had smellavision for when you see them. Photos now attached, so good I started eating and almost forgot to show you the Dr Willy and spanakopita goodness.

We tried it for the first time today. It's hard to believe, but everything said is true. The best pizza I have ever eaten in my life... Both the employees and the employer were very nice. Dear brother, as you said, I really loved it :)

ordered a pizza and fries via door dash from this place a little while ago. pizza was very good like your usual pizza place but if i'm being 100% honest the fries came out bad. been to many restaurants in my lifetime and these were probably the worst fries i've ever had from a restaurant way over salted and honestly a little bit of a dealbreaker to me as a customer as to me a good pizza and fries is the heart of a restaurant like this. but i'm very impressed with how generous these guys are and how involved they are with the community.

NEVER DISAPPOINTS ...Pleasant Pizza is first on scene for firefighters battling fires, police because they love the police as well. recently they delivered to the soup kitchen for those that served Thanksgiving dinner. just all around great people ...Thank you Pleasant Pizza, thank you for all you do

It was my first & last time coming here on 12/14/23. I couldn’t believe u guys don’t make grinders.. pizza places always have grinders. To my surprise and wonderment u do wraps & said it’s been a success to your customers. 👀 Ok, maybe your Gen Z customers because the rest of us normal people want grinders. But it’s your establishment and your rules. After all, you don’t need my business since the wrap idea went flying. So instead I ordered a Greek salad and mozzarella sticks. The salad was mediocre and the sticks were cold. Everyone their was friendly so I’ll give u that.

I've only done take out so I can't rate atmosphere. I have celiac and really appreciate that the have gluten free pizza so good it makes you do a double take. Also my first order, I placed it online and they called me to let me know one of the toppings I picked was cross contaminated and offered me a switch that would work for the specialty pizza I ordered. My only complaint is there's no tomato sauce options but there are so many other great choices.

The food is great sometimes when you order online special requests are missed. Overall still great place

Pleasant has the most unique amazing pizzas , when you’re in doubt always choose them . The wings are to die for and the will customize any order to your liking . I have yet to be disappointed.

This is about my 4th time ever coming here. Every single thing I've ordered has been delicious. Staff is always very nice & friendly.

Their delivery leaves a lot to be desired. Twice I have ordered the Chocolate Truffel Bomb, both times it has not been delivered, but I was charged for it. When I call the restaurant they tell me I have to go through delivery service (I have used both GrubHub andUberEats), they tell me I have to go through the restaurant. This time when I by the time I got my order they were closed so I emailed, if I get a response I will change my review.

It was okay, but I was a little disappointed considering a local recommended it and the sheer amount of high reviews. All in all, it was good food.

Look. Pleasant Pizza has the best pizza in Willimantic: no question. Something for everyone. I don’t know if this pizza makes great leftovers because there’s never any left! Have you had the spanakopita?!? Don’t miss it! The Baklava? Please! Get in there! In fact, if you find something you don’t like, DM me. I’m still looking after years of eating there.

Amazing pizza! Though when I saw the tip screen I was always told to tip when you're being served and when being delivered to, we can't afford to tip when picking things up when the pizza is already 25. :( Regardless we are so happy you are so close to us! You make living here special.

Honestly I have had good experiences in the past and heard so many great things so I tried a pizza and it had no sauce or if It did it was so little u couldn't taste or see It and that made pizza very dry and underwhelming I am very disappointed maybe It was really busy or maybe a new worker making the food. Times are tight and its hard for me to justify risking another 20 plus dollars for a pizza without sauce. I will say I didn't call but I was hungry and hadn't aten all day and had a bad situation years back over no sauce on a pizza with another buisness and it traumatized me lmao the manager yelled at me and challenged me on th fact the pizza had no sauce and went as far to say he is the manager and he made my pizza and that they weigh the sauce for each pizza 😂😂😂 in my life I have never heard such a thing but since then it's rare I call a place tbh.

Update 2/16/23.... Unfortunately I have to change my review a bit. After placing an online order....waiting 45 minutes after the requested delivery time and calling in to question where my order was....I found out that the order got changed to pick up by the internet...also the code I received via text was not applied After I entered it. In review I ended up with food that sat for over an hour....wings don't age well under a heat lamp. And never received my free cheesy bread sticks! My rating has changed from 5 stars to 3 and I may or may not try again. Always excellent food. Great convenient delivery and text message specials that are well worthy of taking advantage of

I used to love love love this place. The food is good. I used to order about once a week sometimes more. I am not savvy as to which delivery services are the best or not. I just place my order, enter cc# & wait for it to be delivered. the delivery service offered to me on THEIR website was grub hub. I don’t use GrubHub, but I assumed since it was being offered to me on Pleasant Pizza’s website, that it was reputable. Or, in the very least if a mistake was made, Pleasant Pizza would assist in remedying since it’s actually their product’s reputation on the line. Right or wrong, it reflects poorly upon the restaurant as most people don’t really differentiate between the restaurant and delivery service. If either is a bad experience - the whole thing is a bad experience. I was basically told by the manager at Pleasant Pizza to call DoorDash next time! Apparently, being a long time repeat, customer is of absolutely no consequence to them. I’m old-school so things like that are important to me. In hard times like these, one would think a loyal, repeat customer would be valued and offered some respect especially by a family owned business when their order gets lost. Instead I’m offered a flippant “next time use door dash”. Sadly, there will not be a next time.

Pleasant pizza is the best pizza that I've had. Their flavor combos are incredible, especially on the Patronus pizza with garlic drizzle on top. Their sauce is well seasoned, the pizza isn't too greasy, and the crust is never burnt. I highly recommend this place!!!!

New England is the home of the best pizza in the country, and in Connecticut we are blessed with lots of great pizza places. In my opinion none are better than Pleasant Pizza. They get it exactly right every time: the perfect crust, the perfect toppings, and combinations you might never think of yourself but that are invariably wonderful. They are five minutes from my house. That’s a good reason right there to live in Willimantic.

Tried to redeem a 5$ off coupon but was told for orders online only. No where on the text or on the coupon does it say online only. I come here all the time and figured I might as well use a coupon for once. You would think after spending over 70 including a tip, they would have honored it. Extremely disappointed. Won’t be back.

Great job! Visited this grand team tonight because a family member wanted to try due to the competition. Given that I work in the industry I was reluctant considering the rush of a Friday night. A little wait which was wholly expected on a Friday night, amid a competition for best pizza, and a tight space. But man these guys played off being in the weeds. Quick thinking from someone to ease the wait with a wholly unnecessary beverage, the friendly counter staff fully embracing the chaos and still engaging the customers lucky enough to interact. The guys on the line deserve the brunt of the credit for toiling away in what at best is a difficult job, but coupled with the stack of tickets and getting stared at from that awkward bar, well done guys sorry I stared as well. Very deserved spot for your product, efforts, and candor I'm the face of adversity. I'm happy to come back on friday nights as suggested and let anyone foolhardy enough to create issues know where they should reside. Honestly, getting hit like that and keeping the good vibes and cuisine coming out is impressive!!

The Provistalis family and staff are absolutely wonderful! They support many charities and events in the community. Their food and service are excellent. Delivery personnel are great!

Tried for the first time. Got 3 pizzas, pepperoni, the ding a ling and the mambo. The pepperoni is pretty good, basic pizza. Good amount of cheese and sauce, crust is flavorful. The ding a ling was tasty but I was expecting a little more flavor from the ingredients. The mambo was disappointing, they put so much strong brown mustard on top that’s really all you can taste and I didn’t see very much pulled pork on the pizza. If I tried it again I’d def get the mustard on the side. I’m not sure what is in the pizza but all 3 of our family members woke up in the middle of the night extremely thirsty, they must have a lot of salt or something. I’d try the pizza again if I was in the area but I wouldn’t make a special trip.

Ordered salad beware its spring mix and I hate spring mix the website says mixed greens I didn't equate that as spring mix I should've called now I have a 13 dollar salad I absolutely hate

I have never had a bad experience here! Pizza is always fresh and delicious. I love the flavor profiles they have available. Airline is one of my favorites! I also love the boom box salad with the garlic dressing. Sadly I don't have a picture to add because the food disappears as soon as I get home with it.
