Fries Scallops , oysters and onion petals were delish but bag crab claws were like leather. I tried opening bout 6 and they were all that way. After tasting that 1st one that was it. I had throw them in trash. I wanted to cry I LOVE crabs but haven't been able afford them this year. Thought this was gonna b good alternative but NOT

I had gotten my crabs here today!!! June 29th the place was clean and smelled wonderful all of the seafood looked so good and appetizing. Once I got my crabs home they were still warm. They were cooked perfectly. I definitely will be returning and getting more crabs and also trying new things. 10 out of 10!!!!! I don’t have to update my comments much!!! 10 out of 10 for Delaware awesome service and crabs!!!

Picked some platters late night and devoured them. Food was great and service was well "pleasant" like the name. I would definitely come back when in the area. Also location was just a short distance from where we stayed.

Great seafood and the service is great

Got a couple dozen #1s. They were seasoned perfectly and full of meat. I also got some alligator that was very good.

The inconvenience of people trying to eat my food is crazy. On phone right now placing order, it's Friday. Almost 6pm. Wow.

pretty decent business here.. typically, I get jumbos from here. My girl gets regular crabs from here. Also, shrimp and other things...

The crabs didn't taste fresh at all

Split a “Dead eys Special” with my girlfriend. Description is “Flounder, Clams, Shrimp, Oysters, Scallops, Crab Cakes”. Tasted good but disappointed by what we got. Small strip of flounder, ok amount of clams, 2 shrimp ( one per person), 2 tiny bay scallops, 2 dwarf oysters and 1 crab cake- not cakes. For the price $37 seems like it could have been more. Definitely would have been better off with other menu choices. Crab soup was excellent. I will be back but will order differently for sure.

The food is good and the prices are reasonable.

Take out only. I had hush puppies and a crab cake sandwich. Price was typical. Crab cake was bland with no lumps of crab to be found and was served on a dry bun. Tartar sauce on the side was very necessary, but I was not given any way to put it on the sandwich. Hush puppies were nothing special and were served without butter. I was hungry so I ate everything, but will look elsewhere next time I'm visiting Bombay Hook and need lunch.

Transplant from PA, this is my go to spot for fresh crabs. Their fresh scallops are incredible as well. Yesterday I had called in for crabs, due to the storm they were short and only had 1 dozen 2’s available. They called as soon as they got 1’s in and asked if I would like them instead. They went above and beyond.

This is my go-to place for crabs. They often have discounts or specials. They also have a really large menu for seafood and fish. It will not disappoint.

Omg!! The best Crabs 🦀 😋 ever. I was visiting my Aunt for the weekend. I will gladly take that 2 hour drive from DC for their Crabs.

Got half dozen of #1 crabs and a half dozen of #2 they were delicious nice and full when l want crabs l always go to pleasant seafood

During a visit to the 1st state... I searched nearby seafood. From reviews, it stated that there was an onsite option to eat picnic style. However, this is not the case it is only take-out. It was very disappointing as I drove out of my way to this establishment.

Love it!! Best in the area for seafood. Don't waste your time looking around for fresh seafood in this area it doesn't exist!! This area is not known from good eats, any cuisine at all. But if you're here on purpose or by accident and are in the need of some seafood healing.. Pleasontans is the go to place. Fish sandwiches awesome! Fried shrimp awesome! Collard greens except one time it wasn't on point but over all awesome! Seafood salad, soups and fresh crabs awesome! If your a HANGRY kind of person don't get the order of fries it's super super small and for the price it doesn't add up. So if you have to have fries buy 2 orders. Pleasontans staff is great! We enjoy the fast pace environment and the people are pleasant ☺ hence the name! Give it a try if your in the area.

I got the jumbo blue live crabs it $100 a dozen but well worth it. I came to Delaware for my daughter graduation and found this lil gem. I came from long island and they held up well In the heat for those hours and still was alive the next evening when I cooked the rest

Crab balls where good.. Clam chowder, tasteless… not even a quarter teaspoon of clams.. Fried shrimp, and fried flounder bland and tasteless.

WOW. Great selection and so nice. Kept passing and always wanted to stop . Finally did and it was great. Had lunch and the fried oysters were very tasty.

Holy cannoli, I just got in to the stuff I ordered from here and DELICIOUS! I got some trout and the breading is delicious and crunchy, meat is super hot and juicy. The girls that work up are super friendly and really pretty too. Give them some good tips if you stop in.

Great crabs and shrimp. We order #1 male crabs, shrimp, corn and coleslaw. Everything was delicious! The crabs were full of meat and steamed to perfection. The customer service was great. We are new to the area and the clerk offered suggestions of where we could go to enjoy our meal. We highly recommend Pleasanton’s Seafood.

It can be busy but the ladies are doing their best to make sure you get your order. The crabs are not as big but definitely taste great.

Usually treat myself to a good old seafood boil for my birthday. This year I decided to try something new...frog legs and they were absolutely delicious!! I got them for myself and my kids ended up eating half. Next time I'll order more. They cleaned and cooked them for me and they were perfect.

This is what you got for $19. If you wanted tomato, or anything else, it was extra. I get that crab is expensive, but how about a pickle or something?

If you are looking for FRESH seafood, this is the place! We were looking for a place to sit down and were given suggestions of two other local spots but we were **hangry** so we decided to stay. So glad we did! I had the broiled scallops and my husband had the oyster sandwich. Both were excellent choices - fresh, plump, moist, melt in your mouth goodness. Go for it! p.s. we will be back! Thank you, ladies!!

Legit seafood and steamed crabs. Friendly staff. Great prices for quality fresh seafood. They broiled and fried the fish filets for us and it was good as any sit down establishment. Really worth visiting if you're gonna treat yourself.

I wanted a good crab cake and decided to give this business a try. I haven't been able to find a good crab cake, for the 11 years I've been in Delaware. The other items that I ordered were very good. I was disappointed in the crab cake. I would give it a 3.5 on a scale of 5. I guess that I will have to make the trip to Maryland for my style of crab cake. This is a good business and I recommend them.

I don't know why I haven't given them a review before now. I've been a customer for 20+ years. As long as I've lived in Delaware. Their food is top notch amazing!! From crabs, shrimp, soups, munchies, etc.... They're always consistent with their recipes, order of operations, service, standards. They get it right every time!! I also commend them for how hard they hustle in such a very hot kitchen while pushing out endless orders all day long. Great job ladies!!

Our favorite seafood spot when we visit the area

I come here a lot. my crabs number 1 Male are always big n full of meat I came here last week paid about 70 dollars and they weren't so pleasant the 1s where empty no meat at all, all water. Not so pleasant to be called Pleasanton

Visiting family and wanted some fresh fish. After visiting three fish markets and not finding anything I wanted, I called Pleasanton’s. Not only was the person I spoke with extremely friendly and helpful but they had the best selection of seafood in the area! I would definitely recommend them and they will be my choice whenever I visit again!

Crabs were good but pricey.. #1 males were not that big but were expensive. They had sale on female crabs which I don't like but other people were buying them. Steamed shrimp were good.

I ordered ahead and was told I would be able to pickup in 15 minutes. I was probably 17 minutes. Walked in and my order was waiting for me. Friendly and great service. Got home and devoured the Rockfish Platter. Delicious! This is not my first time there, just first time writing a review. This place has never disappointed me.

My husband is from Cecile County born and raised and he dreams of seafood, especially Crabs, but this time of year he settled for shrimp. Myself I'm allergic so I can't have any of it. Lol

Was partially disappointed, spoke someone the day before for a specific product and amount and when I got there they only had a little bit.

My husband and I stopped there first time and got steamed crabs and some fish from them, and it turned out to be a very pleasant experience at Pleasanton’s! Crabs were so fresh we could smell the ocean water from them. Customer service was excellent, lady behind the counter was very helpful and knowledgeable and knew exactly what we wanted.. other staff members were great too! Another fact that made it very comfortable for us was that they were letting only one customer at a time in the store and everyone was wearing a mask, which was very important for us as we are seniors and don’t want to take an unnecessary chance these day. We will definitely go back!

I have been to Pleasanton's several times and I am always so happy with the service and the food! Absolutely the BEST crab cakes in Delaware! But with all of this Covid 19 going around, I was so happy to see how Pleasanton's has gone above and beyond to keep its customers and amazing staff safe! They completely rearranged the front of the house and have a new way of picking up orders! Those girls were getting customers in and out yesterday! I didn't have to wait long and they even brought the food to my car! Definitely the place to go!!

This place had been here for very long time. I love getting my seafood from them. Very very busy but do I suggest order ahead. The food can be cook for you or not I do believe they'll give ice if need be to travel. So give a call ahead about special and order so you have no wait time

Quick, inexpensive and delicious, fresh seafood. Surprised it took me this long to try it, but I'll definitely be coming back. The king crab legs were delicious. Raw oysters were so-so, and not any cheaper than they would be during happy hour at a restaurant even though I had to shuck them myself.
