The food was great, the service was outstanding, and the people were very friendly. That was the first good establishment we visited while taking my son to college and it will be a go to for me moving forward. The green beans were amazing as well as everything else.

Typically I NEVER have ANYTHING bad to say about eating here, but today when I noticed there was someone new (at least new to me working) I already had some apprehensions, but chalked it up to having an off day/weekend and nothing to worry about.. when it’s my turn to order I arrive at to speak to said new person & (of course) the person wasn’t very nice at all before OR after handing me my order…my main issue however is how much food I didn’t get AND there was a short blonde hair in my daughters green beans (thankfully I picked thru them/found it/ removed it myself before feeding her) Overall not okay and pretty upset with this experience actually, I don’t think it’ll completely make me not want to come here again, but just some things for Randy and his employees to know/improve on… PS if this is the usual amount of fish & chips on Fridays I will no longer purchase this entree (neither food type even filled half the box on either side..pretty disappointed) The food we did get besides the previously mentioned issues was (like all my other experiences) amazing and delicious. It was just this time for some reason that my expectations were not met, especially when compared to previous experiences. Hopefully this is seen and things are improved upon asap / no longer will have these problems..because we do love going here and the food is usually amazing… PPS I also ordered baked beans and while I (thankfully) wasn’t charged for them I still had them ordered and was looking forward to having them with my meal. Customer Service training with all employees as well as making sure portions are correct should all be happening here asap TIA signed, Loyal Customer

Luck of the draw if the food is good, the service is decent, and if anything is left.

Having them cook meat and sides for a retirement party. A great bunch of people to deal with. Always great food.

Only problem I had here was I was charged by my debit card then told it was declined so I paid cash then I checked my bank card balance the money it came out of my account so I had to go get a refund of my cash. They're very helpful and quick in giving me my refund

I had the brisket sandwich with fried jalapeños. AMAZING! One of very few places around Central Missouri that has really great BBQ. I'll see y'all soon.

Barbecue sauce with tasty. The brisket sandwich did not have a lot of meat on it. Not the most memorable sandwich ever. My fries are cold too. Service yep is really friendly though.

Picked out a couple of different choices as it was our first time here. Tried the ribs meal, the burnt ends meal, the BBQ fries, and the pork tenderloin sandwich. The ribs were good until we found hair in them. We asked for the pork tenderloin sandwich to be plain with everything on the side but it came with everything on it so we scraped everything off. Ordered homemade chips but didn't receive any. The burnt ends were hard so they weren't pleasant to eat. Only received a small portion of bbq sauce and for the amount of food we ordered it wasn't enough. The BBQ fries we ordered were missing the sour cream and Jalapeños we asked for but the pulled chicken was good.

Best Brisket we have ever had! Fast friendly and clean! Highly recommend!

The building upgrade was a great decision! And amazingly they didn't sacrifice quality nor raise prices!

Today I got the 1/2 chicken. It was very dry. Mac and cheese was good. Prompt service.

My mom and I have gone in several times for lunch and have always had great experiences. The last time we went we got a tenderloin, a brisket sandwich, and some sides for my son. Two different people came up and even gave my son free cookies, which he was ecstatic about. Everyone working was attentive and helpful with our few questions regarding the menu and our food came out in a timely manner. 10/10 would recommended.

Drive thru is terribly slow service is bad a bunch of kids no bbq sauce I wont go back an they won an award

I placed a carry out order. When I went inside to pickup there were three workers. An older blonde woman with short hair, an older gentleman and a young girl. My pickup order was sitting in front of me ready on the counter, I just needed to pay so I could leave. I stood at the “pickup” area waiting to be helped as they took new orders in drive thru and went to take an order on frontline of a man that had just walked up. Pickup being priority and realizing I was not going to be greeted I stated “I have a pickup for Emily” At this point I realized they were busy and I was understanding but how I was treated afterwards was unnecessary, disrespectful and unprofessional. The woman with short blonde hair huffed, rolled her eyes and was visibly agitated as I paid for my order. The man at the register that was waiting to order said “KAY is it my turn now” and chuckled along with the blonde woman. When I left I realized it was $15 more than I had calculated from the online menu prices. I called and spoke to the blonde woman, she told me the online menu hadn’t been updated since they raised their prices and snappily stated ITS BEEN LIKE THAT FOR AWHILE, as if I should be aware of the price raise. There are not many restaurant choices in Marshall, I would hate to see another fail because of simple things that can be easily fixed. Please have integrity, it is your responsibility to have updated menus so you can be honest and transparent towards your customers. I would hate to think you’re purposefully not updating prices to mislead customers since I’m sure this has been brought to your attention more than once. The blonde woman may not have handled the situation appropriately but I’m sure she is getting frustrated being constantly confronted about the discrepancies of the pricing. Thank you for your time.

Food was great, priced just right. FAST and Friendly service. Drove 200 miles to look at a tractor but would come back for the BBQ again.

Every single person is great! The food is wonderful! And the atmosphere is fun! You can tell each employee loves their job here because they all always treat every customer with a smile and thank you and very upbeat nice and happy! You can't ask for a better surrounding than that!

Stopped by for lunch and beat the lunch crowd, orders were taken and food was delivered shortly. I chose a burnt end sandwich with fries and beans, my daughter chose shredded chicken and fries. Everything was fresh and warm…portion size on my sandwich was on the small size, my daughter ordered 1/2 pound of chicken and was as described. My daughter really liked her chicken while I was not too impressed with the burnt ends as they had little seasoning or smoke flavor. BBQ sauce was different, maybe a fruity or cinnamon flavor??? Overall, average Q, but would go back.

Could get bigger portions for the money paid but other than. That they got real good food

My husband had the pulled pork and I had the brisket sandwiches. The pulled pork was excellent, very tender. The brisket was so tinder I didn't have to bite into it. Worth the stop for sure. Prices beat McDonald's for sure. $20.00 and some change.

What I would say about this place food great I mean Awesome gribs great Is burn ends perfect Is pulled pork Awesome potato salad awesome coast law great macaroni cheese one of the best. And a lot of food for the price I paid

The lady at the front desk super helpful and the restaurant seam pretty clean and food on the other was Alright ( home cooking) Usually busy. Got a plow platter.

They are welcoming and friendly HOWEVER, my food was cold!! I don't live far away either. That means they gave it to me cold.. So wrong! We pay money for hot food! So disappointment, especially when you leave on your lunch break to hurry and get something to eat

They catered a wedding I was at. Absolutely wonderful.

Food is good . Cheap . Brisket good very tender. Sauce is nice and bold. Bbq beans must get Mac and cheese all cheese no Mac. No onion rings. Fries are really fried does not taste like should. The orders need better Attention, lots of things forgotten with drive through order.

The food is fire and the prices are cheap

We ordered a whole smoked turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. It was moist, tender and delicious. We’re hoping Plowboys does this every holiday and we highly recommend their smoked turkey. Sure made dinner easier!

We had a great lunch here, the food quality is great, the staff are friendly, nice, and considerate. When we were about to leave, one of the staff members asked if we wanted a free drink refill before we left. The food is well priced. They also sell local Missouri made ice cream. There is a drive-thru. All in all, I recommend this place to any BBQ lovers.

Passing through we stopped at Plowboys BBQ, it was Delicious! Food came out fast and the staff was very kind/friendly. Definitely recommend!

Wow!!!!! This place is the best in town. The pork sandwich was delicious along with the loaded potato with burnt ends. The Mac n cheese is to die for. I recommend the limonade because it's homemade and just perfect.

Not much of a dining room. But the food was fabulous and the lady was friendly.

We used this place to order for our family reunion. They were a little behind on the order time we requested but it was because the meat we ordered wasnt quite done yet. You should probably order time for at least a half hour before you want to actually pick up so you wont have to wait like we did.Food was very good. Would use again.

I read reviews just now..I thought I was imagining things with how hateful the older lady with short hair was rude to my daughter-who is of color- but I take it I'm definitely not imagining it. She was rude to my daughter and my husband. Got impatient because we took too long ordering. I ordered big rib dinner....was gross!! Ribs was dry n no smoked flavor whatsoever. I wouldn't have reviewed but the lady that took our order was rude n well um....racist. prices was good but food was not flavorful. Quantity is good too. Someone don't know how to smoke that meat apparently. I been eating my husband's BBQ for years n it's fffire!!.I know what good BBQ tastes like n plowboys is not good BBQ. I'm actually surprised they get as much business as they do. I truly don't see what the fuss is all about. I love my food n especially love me sum ribs n BBQ beans. Gave 1 star cuz can't post a review. It's 2022. ..not 1950s! (Or earlier)Sum ppl need to unlearn being racist. Being mean to my baby aint gon get u nowhere ESPECIALLY with them ol dryyyyy ribs tasting like they set in warmer for 12 Eva luvvin days. Sign said it's been established since 2001...how?? Horrible service. Normally never have a problem I always get a 1lb of brisket to go. We were working in 100 degree weather so went inside to cool off. Took a friend of color in with me he couldn't decide what to get. The older lady with the short hair was straight rude. Told us she was going to take the order at the window since we couldn't decide. She said so hatefully. Which I let slide. When we were ready to order I let the short haired lady know we were ready when she was finished with drive-thru. Immediately she snapped and said yes when im finished. Decided on the catfish. Got 2 lbs. When I tasted it it was mushy. I immediately knew it was Chinese catfish. I asked the other lady she acted surprised. I said yes Chinese catfish swai. She then said it was. Rude service will never be back to top it off was so hot inside the ice melted in the cups before we were finished. There hours suck Also never know when they are open.

Horrible service we ordered food for my sisters wedding and they didn’t provide the buns for the sandwiches and said it was “extra” . I never ordered a sandwich and paid extra for the bun. Furthermore they never informed us that this was their policy until we had the food set up for service at reception. Buyer be ware Seems to some very shady businesses to me. Needless to say we’ll never use their service again.

The food is good and the portions generous, the staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable. Lose one star because they still don't have dining in.

Their food is really good! Highly recommend their burnt ends! To save time, call the order in ahead of time and walk up to pick up the order. Only wish is that they'd make people call the orders in or tell them they have to order and then go to the back of the line to speed up the pickup window.

Everything I've tried here has been very good but the best part is how great the staff is. Everyone that I have interacted with there has been extremely friendly and kind!

Took my granddaughter there last week for their cat fish and Mac and cheese. It was very good. My granddaughter loved her Mac and cheese. She ate all of it. They even gave her a cookie.

Perfection takes time. This is the place I go, when I want to treat myself, and my family. **. It . Is . Not . Fast . Food .** Even though they have a "fast-food" window set up, it is not Fast Food. You Will Have To Wait for this excellence. But, it is worth the wait. Every item on the menu is savory. The owner takes great pride in providing most excellent BBQ. Just know, you need to call in an order, if you want faster service.

Tenderloin Tuesday is awesome. Plowboy's tenderloin sandwich is so good. Their baked beans are amazing as well.

I’m from Kansas City and love BBQ. I’d rank Plowboys in Marshall, Mo. right at the top of the list with the best barbecue that KC has. I love their St. Louis style ribs. You don’t need sauce on these ribs because the rub they use is amazing. But if you do want sauce, the BBQ sauce is wonderful. The pulled pork and brisket is good as well. The side dishes are delicious and plentiful. The cost is very reasonable. Much less than you’d pay in KC. I had Plowboys in Marshall cater our daughters wedding. Many of the guests had to know where they could get this barbecue and side dishes from. If you’re ever on I-70 near the 65 Hwy Marshall, Missouri exit, take the exit and experience some top notch BBQ.

Absolutely the best ❣️ cat fish night is amazing. And my son LOVES the pulled pork nachos. My favorite is the loaded pulled pork baked potato. Definitely recommend this place.
