Priya caters for special diets needs. She has an excellent vegan selection (eg. vegan biryani, vegan fish) you can also find baked Vegan Deserts! Today I order the Vegan Shrimp!!!

What a hidden gem in the city of Lafayette! Priya and her team put together a wonderful meal in a wonderful atmosphere and EVERY SINGLE THING we ate was delightful and full of flavor! Lavender lemonade and coconut lemonade are made in house and so are the samosas! Please do yourself a favor and visit Priya's! You won't be disappointed. Chef's kiss!

This place hit the spot. If I pass through anytime I will definitely stop in for the butter chicken. It soothed my soul. Rose lemonade was delicious!!

Probably the best Indian food in Louisiana. It is a family run business and they truly make you feel welcome. The food is fresh and very tasty. They can adjust seasoning to your taste. Their homemade fruit juices/lemonades are fantastic. They have a few tables and the atmosphere is very relaxing. We'll worth a try.

Everything about this restaurant is great. The main chef at this restaurant uses no colors or artificial colors making home cooked style meals. Great place to stop by if you have time. If you manage to get in that is, the restaurant is a tad bit small but nevertheless still great

Priya's Chicken Vindaloo is wonderful with an incredible depth of flavor! The spices are perfect and have just the right amount of heat! Loved it!

Lovely little place, Priya is very nice and welcoming. I have only visited a few times but the food is so flavorful, if you are a foodie like me this place is a staple. Also you have to try the masala chai, the best chai ive had in town. They give a good amount of food, everytime I come I have leftovers. Check it out you wont regret it.

I encourage everyone to stop by their booth on Saturdays to get their samosas. When we finally had a chance to go by their restaurant. Everything about this meal was great. They completely took care of us. The food itself was great. The portions leave you needing a togo box. Along with being some of the better priced Indian food, knowing how much time and effort goes into the cuisine. This is definitely worth a trip and I look forward to our next meal there. The Victory Stuffed Eggplant and garlic naan were amazing. The owners are sincerely welcoming as well. I’ve travelled to South India and this place takes me back there. I’ve found my new favorite spot when traveling through Lafayette.

Since I was at Festival International, I wanted to try something different. I decided to get the chicken curry bowl and it was SO GOOD!! The owners are so kind and friendly, even offered us some chicken samosas which were also amazing. Now I know where to get Indian food if I’m ever craving it!!

I have been to many Indian restaurants in the Midwest. Though I am Asian, my family and I love Indian food. Priya's is by far the best tasting Indian food I have had in all my years of eating Indian food. I like their food so much, for the first time ever, I'm taking a whole cooler load of it back to Kansas where I will be savoring it for the next 2 months. The owners, Joseph and Priya, are wonderful people. The restaurant is small but has so much ambiance. Nice place to go for a lunch or dinner date. You will not regret your foodie experience!

My wife and I were visiting Lafayette last week and made a takeout order for 3 Tikka Masalas and 3 orders of nan. The food was absolutely awesome, the staff is very friendly, and I would definitely eat there again if we’re in the area.

So my daughter and I walked in today just being curious and let me tell you this little place is amazingly good. I got the classic Indian vegetable samosa and my daughter the Better Butter Chicken , butter naan. It was all so delicious , seasoned to perfection and spicy . The place is clean with a chill atmosphere. I’ve never been to India but I got the feeling I was as close as I could get to the real thing. We will definitely be back to try the other dishes. So happy we found this place.

A hidden gems! Small homy restaurant that served authentic Indian cuisines. If you’re a garlic naan lover, a must to have! It is so garlicky, thin but soft! Priya such a sweet and soft spoken lady who ensue to check if the food was too spicy (we ordered medium spice level) and rest of the food we had. We will definitely be back to try more varieties.

We were welcomed with warms smiles and a wonderful smell of delicious food. I told Priya how it was my first time eating Indian food and she threw in some free deserts. I’ve never had such good service at a restaurant and the tikka Marsala was honestly the best food I have ever had in my life, I couldn’t stop eating it until it was all gone. Also the food is very affordable with a nice hearty serving costing only $14.

OMG!!! First of all, this was my first time trying this restaurant out. When it comes to my food, I am very skeptical. But, the young lady taking the orders was very sweet and friendly and helped me with the menu. I got to meet the owner, and she was the most friendliest beautiful person who interacted with every person sitting in there. I was like to myself, wow, she's really nice. The food was way above my expectations. The BEST Indian food I have ever tasted in my life. No lie. This food is literally all that and then some. I had to come and put a review because I want others to experience what I experienced. Thank you for such a great experience and I will be seeing y'all again very soon 💕

The food at Priya's was absolutely fantastic! I was served a sample of their lentil soup and even though I don't like veggies I loved this soup! Next I was able to enjoy a chicken samosas with this wonderful sweet sauce. Perfectly seasoned and crisped to perfection! Next I ordered the Tikka Masala with some butter naan. The naan had a big pat of butter oozing on it, sending my taste buds into a happy butter frenzy. The chicken tikka masala was rich and flavorful over the jasmine rice that was served. I topped it off with a lavender lemonade and I took the last one. So delicious!! It was peaceful heaven in my mouth. I was there at the recommendation of a friend who knows the owner of the restaurant. This was by far the best Indian cuisine I have had in Lafayette to date! I will most certainly be back to enjoy and explore more of her delicious cuisine! ❤️

Came here for dinner as an anniversary treat and the food was amazing. Priya is brilliant. Every part of every dish was executed perfectly and her sauces (seriously all of them) are insanely good and well balanced. Wonderful chef and warm atmosphere.

Priya's has the absolute best Indian food in Lafayette. The owner always tries to greet her guests; sometimes she's too busy to come out from the kitchen but she will still shout out a thank you. The decor is bright and cheerful.

Everything was pretty decent. My one suggestion is please provide your customers with more rice to go along with their butter shrimp (which was actually delicious). Especially if they are paying up to $20 for their meal. The meal also came with coleslaw which was really good nice spicy and sweet combination. But it was basically a teaspoon of coleslaw. Food was good, service was okay, price a little high for the amount of rice and coleslaw that you get. The amount of butter shrimp which was again delicious was more than enough.

Food was amazing ate half of it outside in the car before leaving an excellent customer service will be back soon!!!

Priya's serves wonderful Indian cuisine. It is easy to see and, more importantly, to taste that Priya loves sharing the joy of her cooking with the people of Acadiana.

SO BAD I don't even know where to start. We are confused. Okay let's start with service. High school kid who did not greet us, did not ask us if we wanted drinks, clearly did not want to be there. The food....we have eaten indian food all over the country. Alaska. Arkansas. New York. Theres always things they have in common. Like the good long grain basmati rice that is the hallmark of Indian. Here...the biryani (and all the dishes) is made with regular rice like you'd use for jambalaya. Like...no defined grains. Kinda wet and mushy.. We got chicken biryani and chicken vindaloo. The vindaloo....was unlike any I have had and not in a good way. There was no vinegar taste. No tomato. It was a bland brown gravy with hot pepper dumped in but not much other flavor. Biryani was bland spicy mush with tough overcooked chicken. Inedible but my boyfriend choked about 1/4 of it down just because we paid money for it, threw the rest out. Overall if you like Indian food and know what good Indian food tastes like, you will not like this. Maybe it caters to the tastes of the locals, idk. The owner was nice and I don't like giving bad reviews to local joints but man, the people gotta be warned.

Totally loved the experience. This is an owner cum Chef operated store. Chef Priya was super nice, and prepared a home cooked meal customized to your preference of taste and spice level! If you are in the area, you should definitely visit her.

Big fan! I’m here almost every week! My favorite is the Chicken Vindaloo but the veggie dishes also really impressed me. The small but cozy atmosphere reminds me of some of my favorite urban cafes.

1st time coming here. I have been looking for a new place to try. I placed my order to go however the food was amazing. Lady who took my order was very sweet. She even brought me a bowl of soup while I waited for my order. Fantastic in every way. It's a little out of my way but worth the drive. Highly recommended

Traveling through the area we were fortunate to find this place. Having eaten Indian food all over the USA, have to say Priya's experience was quite unique and refreshing! Family run business, they take extreme pride in taking care of their customers the best possible way! Food is prepared home-style and served with generous portions. Appearance of the food is different from what we are used to in most restaurants (which can be off-putting for some) but by golly when the food meets the tongue...nothing else matters! Would highly recommend this place and slightly envious of people around Lafayette LA....because you guys can get to enjoy Priya's frequently than us out of towners!

If you dine in, you’re automatically given a bowl of soup that you didn’t even ask for. It’s not free and you still get charged for it. If you’re not a fan of spicy food then I would not recommend this place. Their food has a lot of spices and it makes it very spicy. That’s all that you taste. Idk if that’s what they’re going for or if it’s an Indian thing. But the food was not enjoyable for me because of how much spice it had. I despise spicy food. The good parts, the owners are very nice and friendly. They are very accommodating. The food is cook to order, fresh, and hot. There is also a lot of vegetarian options. It’s tucked in a little small shopping center so the restaurant is usually empty. It’s plus when you’re an introvert and want to relax.

We had the pleasure of having dinner at Priya's and everything we tried was delicious. I highly recommend the eggplant entree and the veg korma! It tasted homemade and the owner made us feel at home. Exceptional hospitality and amazing food🥰. Would be back if we are back in Lafayette again

I’ve been to India and missed the food. Met Priya when she just had her stand at the farmers market and fell in love with her food and chai. Closet to what it tasted like in India that I can find around

This place has always been a amazing place for me and my girlfriend to go eat it has a very homey feeling and the food is amazing and Priya is just so nice.

The samosas are too oily, the wrapper of the samosas are too thin that it just breaks when we eat. It is not at all authentic Indian samosas. The biriyanis are spice less and not tasting like actual biriyani. It looks like a novice person who doesn’t have much idea of any Indian food has made all the dishes. The food served here are not at all Indian. They are serving something else in the name of Indian food.

Soooo delicious! My first experience today and I can say that the food was incredible along with the atmosphere. I will be bringing every Indian-food-lover, like myself, here for a great experience. You can taste the freshness, homemade”ness,” love, and care in the dishes. Yum!

Had the chicken samosa, chicken tikka Masala, naan garlic bread which was excellent. Never had meal I didn’t enjoy! Oh yea also had the best mango lassie.

Food was so-so, kinda iffy, there was salad on the plate with cookie cutter chili sauce (never seen that before and its probably just a filler, same fried potato slices), the naan is kinda thin and not fluffy at all, ambiance was ok, the lassi was served in a virtually shot glass sized portions and tasted all right, and 3 out of 5 people either didn't touch their food at all or carefully gave it half a shot, because they either saw it being made (very hands on ish), just didn't really enjoy it, or ordered the wrong thing (the salad came out steaming?). My wife and I were the only ones that enjoyed it and actually ate some, but it's really not worth making a detour for if you're passing through Lafayette, because it's just not 4.9 star food. More like 3.2 on a good day when you squint really hard. I really thought It was gonna rock my socks off and make my salivary glands squirt like Anna Belle Peaks, but none of that, it was just all right indian food. Service was good, waitress was nice, so no complaints there. Those brownie points, however, get detracted because who in their right mind runs an Indian restaurant that apparently predominantly serves easily impressed white people with one unisex toilet? That is weak sauce, you can't even take half a dump without causing a major stop up that stretches into the restaurant. So food was 3.2 (but 2/5 for the group) Service was 4.5, nothing special. And 3.5 stars for the vegan and vegetarian options, could be 5 stars if the food was delicious and not just meh. The toilet was 2 star for the cleanliness because that is a given, but there are 3 toilets missing to have dinner and the runs after comfortably without there being any social pressure or having to squeeze by somebody tapdancing in the hallway half soiling themselves after you done made it rain Ovaltine. That puts us at 3 stars. I left out little things, like the small drink serving sizes, and the kinda rural cooking practices of scooping stuff with your hands and all that (if you're gonna do stuff like that, don't set up your joint so people can see you in the kitchen).

Priya's consistently delivers on all fronts! The food and service, time, care and love that goes into your meal are all 2nd to none! I highly recommend giving them a try today! Drop what you're doing and drive to Priyas!

Perfect food, perfect people. Absolutely everything on the menu is fantastic, and there are so many delicious gluten-free and vegan options! Easily one of my family’s favorite places in town. Priya herself is such a sweetheart, and always goes out of her way to serve her customers. I ordered some gluten-free naan last minute, and she graciously made me an entire batch (way more than a single order) to take home to my family. This photo is of takeout, but the restaurant itself is adorable and such a delightful dining spot. Some of my fave menu items are the gf samosas and the chicken vindaloo — absolutely incredible. Priya's restaurant is a true gem in Lafayette! I've lived and worked in a lot of different places throughout the US and Canada, and Priya's is truly special. She has a regular menu, as well as daily specials, with a focus on using seasonal ingredients. She is a fantastic chef. I really enjoy her vegetarian meals, though she also has meat and seafood entrees. It is home-cooking, like having dinner at a chef friend's house. Priya has love and passion for cooking. You can tell she takes a lot of pride in her work, and you can almost taste the joy in her food. Don't hesitate to give her restaurant a try!

Delicious food! We enjoyed the home-style Indian cuisine. The chutney served with the dosas was rich with layers of flavor. The chicken tikka masala was the best we’ve ever had.
