Was in a bit of a hurry to catch a flight, but good things always take time. The alligator bites were fantastic. The meas were excellent as always, and we wish we had more time to relax and eat it all. But the go plates did not go to waste. Will return again!

We came in town for a short weekend and asked a local where to get boiled seafood. This was where we were pointed to. The staff were super friendly. We came in for takeouts and had two little boys with me and they didn't give us a hard time for having wild loud kids (thank you!). The food was perfectly done. Shrimp was so big and the Dungeness crab was done to perfection. Their seasoning is also not overpowering. We really enjoyed the food. I wished we had come and eat in to truly experience it.

Food was ok I found that the portion size was Very small for the price.

Service was okay but the food took an absurd amount of time and the seafood had NO FLAVOR , not even a little bit ! shrimp pinker thank my pinky finger , hard to peel , tough & chicken was beyond over cooked .

It had been about nine years since I had been here, but business brought me back to town so I got to come and experience the fantastic food here once again. I had a whole order of boiled shrimp, sausage link, onion rings, and a crawfish pistolette. All of it was fantastic, and I was so stuffed when I left. Business will be bringing me back to town again in the coming days, and I can assure you that this is going to be one of my regular stops again. Highly recommend!

I was expecting a well seasoned crawfish boil , while they were big they were plain . Paid extra for potatoes, corn and sausage and did t received sausage , also plain no seasoning . Waitress was great . Gumbo was disappointing too .. 2 small tiny shrimps and a piece of crab .

I came here on the recommendation of a full blooded Cajun friend. The restaurant is very tidy, inside and out. It looks great. The menu looks great. The service was mediocre, and the food was terrible. I have friends who trace their Cajun heritage back to the 1700s. They cook sublime, genuine Cajun food. I was expecting that here. What I got was hideously overcooked, oversalted overseasoned alligator that I wouldn't feed my cat. And if I did,I know he'd walk away. Being English by birth and culture, I didn't want to make a fuss, but I was sorely tempted to send the trash I was plated up back to the sad failure of a cook hiding back of house. But I didn't. I choked it down and left a polite tip. But I will never, ever spend money here again. Don't stop here. Drive last and spend your money at Waffle House. It'll be cheaper And the food will be better.

Let us know when the boiled crabs go down in price. We want to go back.

For south Louisiana seafood done right- this is the place. Good stuff!

Crawfish was awesome. Service was great!

It's a cute, small town restaurant that has amazing food! The have boiled platters of all kinds of crustatins which my husband absolutely adored. They have fried and grilled alligator along with an alligator poboy that was heavenly! Cute environment with sinks in the middle the wash your hands after:)

I was very pleased with the service here. The blue crab was great! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting to have a great meal in a welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be returning.

They have good food and great service. It is a big open atmosphere. Nothing fancy. I am not a spicy food person so asked waitress and she went out of her way to find me something to eat and cooks make it plain.

Best crabs in the area, gumbo was flavorful and service was quick and pleasant. All fried dishes were delicious and prepared correctly. (Crisp and fried in fresh oil). Good experience all around.

Crabs were big, not all real full, but these were tasty. I always expect boil seafood in restaurants are dry. If they would only double boil. But it's not a timely manner. Service was greatly better than way back, which is a plus. Market price, take out a loan, LOL

The boiling point is very busy on the weekends. You need to get there around 5:00 PM on Saturdays, if you're eating dinner. I gave it 5 stars because it's the perfect setup for eating crabs and other seafood. The crabs were full when we ate there. Also, the atmosphere is very family-friendly. The food was delicious, they have various seafood dishes to order from the menu.

While Meagan was great out waitress 30 dollars for 10 oysters and 80 dollars for 12 crabs was completely ridiculous, now I see why everyone stop going here and went across the bayou. Back in the day this place couldn't be beat. Now, just donate your whole checking account to them because that's what it will be.

While the food was good, service was blah, waitresses seemed either overworked or they didn’t care. Years ago this place was amazing. I’ll take into consideration the economy and rising cost of food and the fact that people just lack work ethics now days. But to pay almost 70 dollars for only a couple pieces of fish and some frozen mini crab cakes that were served on a struggling paper plate …… also no free refills for drinks. I guess because it came in cans. I was extremely disappointed that this was not the place it used to be after I bragged to my sister about it.

Visited my family and went to eat at the boiling point and had my order mistaken but the waitress found out we were vacationing and had my grilled frog legs made to go and they were 👍👍

Actually 5 stars aren't enough for any area. We were a party of 15..and our service was spot on!. Oh...and the food... exceptional

Had dinner here Friday May 26. Food was great. Some of the best Fried Catfish you will have anywhere. Wife had the Catfish on the Teche. Miss Megan provided great service. Good cold beer and cocktails. Clean establishment. For a Friday night, they had a good crowd, but no waiting to get a table. I would recommend and return.

The food was great and fresh. We got there around 5 for dinner. By the time we finished, they were telling other patrons that they had sold out. They also had sinks in the dining area, which was an unexpected yet welcome feature. I would recommend this place if you love crab and crawfish.

I used to get boiled shrimp here a few years back and they were great. Last two times here, ordered boiled shrimp and they were big and tasted good, but you could not peel them. Impossible to enjoy them. It’s a shame to waste beautiful shrimp like these.

Celebrated my sister's birthday with boiled crawfish. Food was excellent as was the service. Crawfish was definitely worth the price. Definitely recommend.

I have eaten here before and had the boiled crabs that were spot on with flavor and seasoning, but I tried their boiled crawfish, and they were not seasoned, and flavor was off. The crawfish were clean and cooked well. They came out of the shell with no problem but very bland in flavor. if you do not like seasoning on your crawfish, it would be perfect for that person, but if you like seasoning, this isn't the spot.

Service was awesome! Food was fantastic, shrimp poboy was great and the crawfish pie was the best I've ever had!

We didn't mind waiting for a table, just wish there was a better waiting area for cold days. The Rum Punch was excellent!! We had boiled crawfish and crabs. They were P E R F E C T.

Food was OK. Not too much seasoning on it for being in Louisiana and known Cajun taste. If maybe they do offer that taste they didn't offer or mentioned that we had to ask of it. Waitress was nice and knowledgeable but didn't come around often being that not even half the restaurant was full. As for atmosphere it was great. We are not from Lafayette and when we pass through we always stop at different seafood places to try out. It was disappointing to know that being called the boiling point and it being crayfish season, they didn't have any. Such as soft shell crab. But it was a nice atmosphere and I'm sure they are better then this. So yes if we stop by again I'm sure it may be a different rating. Yet I cannot rate on something that I hope for other then the experience at hand.

The best fried oysters and dip, hands down!! Everything else here is really good as well, but the oysters are my favorite! Great staff and quick service!

The food was good and reasonably priced, restaurant clean, and my husband was really impressed with the sinks available in the middle of the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and even gave us a great recommendation for buying boudin to take back to FL.

Onion ring and firecracker shrimp appetizers were very good. Margarita was okay. Fried catfish was undercooked , under seasoned, and still had that grey “skin” on the fillet. Service was just okay. There are many better places in New Iberia to dine.

Great little place just off 90 in New Iberia. Low key, I would not call it a hole in the wall (which is what we seek out) due to it's size. We only had a limited lunch, catfish etouffee, potato salad which was really good. The service was fine but the waitress did not ask us if we wanted the rice that came with the meal and we love rice and did not learn until after we ate that it comes with rice, so we dropped the service rating as we felt she should have asked us since she knew and we did not. We would love to try their boil but right now, out of season for crawfish and no crawfish boil available but we would certainly return. Atmosphere is so subjective and depends on what you are looking for. Atmosphere here is set up for informal eating of crab, crawfish, and shrimp so a crab house and boil atmosphere.

Waitress overweight blonde older with glasses rude no smile twenty minutes to get a water said no more boiled crab orders it was 630 Friday night yet other tables that got there after us were being served boiled crabs never again will look let others know not to go!!!

Seafood platter's are very good

We were traveling in this area for a short visit, and feeling hungry for some nice food to eat. It was a great choice here. The onion rings, crabs, sausages, shrimps ordered are really fresh, and excellent taste. The environment is very good, clean, and services are great.

I ordered boiled crabs. They were not hot when brought to me nor had much seasoning (ordered spicy) they tasted like they were boiled previously then passed in water before serving

Between my husband I, I think we ate everything there (we've been multiple times). We've taken friends and family and truly enjoy it. Very clean and great wait staff.

I come here with my grandparents every time I visit. I always get the dungeness crab. It’s always amazing. Favorite restaurant.

Visiting and went to lunch. Good location abundant and easy parking close to front door. Both of us ordered the crab, shrimp and corn Bisque. What a pitiful amount 🥵🥵 the bowl Was only cup size it would take 5 to equal the bowl size at Prajeans or other place. It did taste Ok and lacking shrimp and corn mostly was potatoes. The bread with it was good . Also the server was great she was courteous and attentive price was high for the little dab Of soup 😡😡 tea was tasty suggestions Get real size bowl and add shrimp and corn to a larger bowl 👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏👋

Délicieux ! Large choix de cuisine cajun, nous avons gouté plusieurs met donc les crawfish et l'alligator. Nous avons été très bien reçu et avons passé un agréable moment. Nous avons eu la chance de rencontrer Don, le patron du restaurant, qui est une super personne. Je recommande totalement cet endroit.

We went there for boiled shrimp. They sell boiled shrimp by pieces and not by the pound. I think the full order was 12 shrimp. 12 shrimp? What? The sides are ordered separately. What? I wasn't impressed. I ordered something else but we should have just gone to another restaurant.

Great service, the crawfish was huge and well seasoned. Only knock is that they don't season the potatoes or sausage links in the crawfish boil but make them separately. Services is great, saw a lot of old timers. The place was packed by 6pm. Will come back again to try the other things on their menu

Service sucks...no hello, no hi, no thank you and we're not seated. They saw us came in but pretended like we're not there. Food was meh, no taste, expensive for small portion. We won't be coming back for sure.

Food is great, but no comparison to the service. Service, management, and ownership Terrible!! Table of 9, service started ok but then everything went downhill from there. The whole table’s food came out at different times, service was slow. Was very patient, but once we asked for management to complain about one persons food being cold he came out to try and justify their wrong!! Instead of listening we were berated and cursed at, and then slapped with 20% percent gratuity. It’s been many years since I’ve come back here and it will be a minimum of many more, if ever!!

I ordered Catfish with crawfish etouffee sauce, my wife ordered the boiled shrimp with a link of sausage. The catfish itself was grilled and tasted fresh; the etouffee sauce was not very good, very bland. My wife's shrimp were huge but they were not cooked in a seafood boil and were also very bland. The shrimp were also tough and difficult to peel. The sausage was ok, but it was a link of warmed precooked sausage. We also ordered iced tea which tasted fresh brewed. Honestly the price does not justify the quality of the food provided. Service was ok, not great but not bad either.

I’m going to preface this review with the fact that this was not our first time going here. Typically during crawfish season we are there almost every weekend. Service is typically meh but the food is good so we continue to go. We decided to bring my father in law for his birthday today. We were a party of 9 people. Our waitress, an older lady, was very forgetful. She messed up our drink orders, didn’t ask when we needed refills, and was rarely seen. Our appetizers came out in a decent amount of time. We had 5 orders of boiled crawfish, 1 boiled shrimp poboy with no tomatoes and an order of fries, a boiled shrimp salad, a fried seafood platter, and a fried crawfish plate. We got the crawfish first (she was confused as to how much was in each tray(my father in law had 3 pounds, I had 5 pounds and the other 3 orders were 4 pounds). She at first said my order was a 4 pound then quickly switched and said it was 5 pounds. It looked the same as the 4 pounds. We started eating and the others food slowly started to come out except for the salad and the poboy. The salad should have been one of the first things to come out since it is just a simple salad with cold boiled shrimp on it. Once it came, we questioned the waitress as to where the poboy was. She didn’t address it but walked straight to the counter. By this point some members of our group were either finished eating or nearly finished. The waitress finally brings his food with no explanation as to why it took so long to come out. His poboy was cold and had tomatoes on it even though he asked for it without. She disappeared again. At this point, I stopped eating and went to find the owner since they are usually there. The husband was there and was rude from the start. I tried to explain to him about the situation. He came to the table cursing and saying he didn’t know what the problem was. I again explained what happened but he didn’t want to hear it. Our waitress came running when she saw who we were speaking to. He refused to acknowledge that there was any kind of problem. He even stated the the fried foods are cooked separately from the boiled( his poboy was boiled shrimp) and that the shrimp was cold because they are cooked off before they are peeled. None of this explained why it took so long for him to get the BOILED shrimp (not fried) poboy. Then he said it was put under heat lamps (still doesn’t make since as his poboy was cold). He was rude and not interested in the situation. He took an aggressive tone. At that point I told him if wasn’t interested in listening to the issues that was fine. He walked away cursing. We once again did not see our waitress until we had to call for her. Top it off a 20% gratuity was added to the bills ($22) from us alone. When asked to take it off so that we could put the amount we saw fitting at that point, they said they could not. After a while they finally did and the waitress came to the counter and said with a snarky tone “ you don’t have to leave a tip”. Overall this was a horrible experience. That is not a way that an owner should treat the patrons of his establishment.
