There is no taste and the amount of food is small. Also, it cannot be said to be a fundamental taste of Malaysian food. I will never go again.

I was hoping for a better experience but ordering the lunch special, it comes with just hr sushi, no salad nor soup, they don't have Sriracha, everything I asked for was, NO. So I ended up leaving, why waste the time and money for a NO.

Update Aug 2024: they moved to a different location. Looks much better now. However, the quality and quantity of food has gone down. Fried rice was rather bland and pad thai was average at best. Then they told me there is a minimum tip of 15% for a party of 4. I will not come back to this place.

Delicious food, wonderful service, and very reasonable prices. I will definitely be returning and telling my friends about this little gem. I wrote this review years ago and I still stand by my original review. Service and food are excellent. Dining area is clean and comfortable. Delicious non-alcoholic selections. The best thing I ate today… hands down the “donut”. 👌🏼

Food is good and I gave reasonable tip but they force to give bigger tip saying their standards are high and customer need to follow their standards. Very rude service

Had the sushi combo (6 pieces of spicy tuna and 6 pcs of spicy salmon) along with fried veggie dumplings and Thai basil noodles. The staff was super friendly and the place was not crowded. Food was given immediately on ordering. The sushi was not the best quality but the noodles were good.

It's a Thai place in a shopping mall. All things being equal, it could be WAY worse. As it is though, it's not bad.

the food was almost amazing. the lady that served us was nice at first, then when it came to the check, i paid the total. in a rush to get to work i wasn’t thinking & she asked me for my signature. i gave my signature forgetting about the tip, she comes to get it and tells me i have to tip. so i tipped an amount to make the order 50$ even. she then tells me that i have to follow the 15%, 20%, etc. i did not and kept the tip how it was.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing Malaysian restaurant “Rasa Sayang”, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious—each dish bursting with authentic flavors and perfectly cooked. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the service was outstanding. The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout our meal. Even though we have allergies to some products, we were able to find a great selection of food that we can choose from. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our dining experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the overall ambiance. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy top-notch Malaysian cuisine!

Not the first time, staffs who serve you the food are so bad that they will force you tip, that is the only reason why I always hesitate to go there and mostly I never suggest to my team or friends. I can and will definitely give more tips but when they ask or force you to pay then I am really not going to pay.

Very convenient location, located inside concord mall. Easily accessible as it has its own private door for exit and times you can enter through instead of going inside the mall. Parking is shared by mall goers and it’s lot of spaces. Restaurent ambience was good , staffs are friendly, attentive , outside food is not allowed, speed of service was great , menu selection was good , though it says Malaysian , when we ordered roti kanai( we received ready made roti, seems like not made in house- disappointed), curry it came along was good but still the quantity was way less. Chicken/tofu lettuce wraps tasted good but still higher in sodium/salt. ,Tom yum soup both veg/non veg options tasted good, fried rice (basil) was ok , chicken satay tasted better not great. All in all our experience is ok not that great.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. We went for lunch and everything we had was delicious. The prices were reasonable, and the waitress was great. We would definitely go back.

I’ve never stopped to eat-in but the online order is very quick and easy, staff is wonderful and food is delicious. I’m really glad they’re still present in the community. They have a really unique pad Thai.

If you have to have some duck, this is the best place that you could possibly get it. Eating here was a great experience and our waitress was wonderful.

Another delicious spot for Asian cuisine. The place is cozy with numerous options to try. The staff were helpful, and the food service was fast. My favorites were Char Kway Teow and Pineapple Fried Rice. The Wasabi Pork Shumai was good, but be ready for a spicy kick. The Rose Pork Red Curry was delicious, and the portion was generous.

I like the place and they are very busy, service was great and my dish was good.

Had the pineapple fried rice with chicken and wasn't a fan. I didn't care for the pineapples mixed with the rice. The chicken was dry and way too big to be in fried rice. If the chicken was cut into smaller pieces it might have been a bit better.

Surprisingly excellent dishes for a suburban Asian restaurant. The wonton, roasted pork noodle soup definitely can compete with places in Chinatown. Sushi donut was fresh and tasty. Singapore rice noodles was full of flavor! Can beat happy hour Kirin beer.

Food was good want to go back and try more….. I definitely recommend getting the lychee drink they offer it’s 10/10

Food quality is low Miso soup didn't have a taste I think they put too much water in it Red curry wasn't good at all We ordered veggie fried dumplings and got veggie spring rolls Waitress said she made a mistake but we never got the dumplings I guess she decided for us that we don't need it I don't know how this place has such high ratings

I was looking for a good ethnic place to try that offered a good curry sauce. This place was fantastic 👏 The atmosphere was very relaxing and was good for conversation. The seating was immediate and comfortable. The service was great, and the bill was reasonable, too. I would highly recommend 👌

Used to love food from this place. Recently, I ordered pineapple fried rice to go. Was shocked at its taste and was left wondering if this was the same place I had eaten so many times before. I called immediately and they did ask to return the food and they will refund. I wasn't willing to make the trip again. I had to remix so that I could eat and not waste the money. I wasn't appealed by its look in first place and was disappointed when I tasted it. I hope they take positives from feedback and work on improving.

Ordered food from here using Uber eats this evening. The chicken wings were completely burnt and smelled horrible. The pineapple rice and noodles tasted so burnt too. We tried to taste the noodles and rice but started feeling sick in the stomach on having them. Needless to say, the whole food goes in trash. We will never order from here again.

I am vegetarian and their (Rasa Sayang) Tofu curry is the best. They are cooked with ample amount of onions which goes well with the rice. Portion size is also plenty so an order is enough for more than 2 of us. I like their version better than the one from Penang.

The food was delicious and the quantity was decent. Loved their flat noodles and green curry. The place is small bit well decorated. We got a table towards the end and it very close to the wash room. Avoid that table.

We visited for lunch. This restaurant is located in the mall. The service is good. We started with chicken satay, dumplings. The chicken was sweet and very dry, while the dumplings lacked seasoning. The roti Canai was very flavorful. We liked their basil fried rice and wide noodles. The shrimp in lemongrass was tasty but needed a little more gravy. We enjoyed the lychee juice. They charged us more for any additional sauces like peanut and mayo nearly $3 surcharge. The decor is nice.

My family and I order from here once a month. This past experience was not favorable judging by the quality of sushi. Spicy tuna was off colored, the seaweed was hard, portion was less than ideal. I don’t like to make negative reviews but if this is the product….I question if it’s even spicy tuna.

I absolutely love this place! Every dish I've ever eaten here is delicious. Most recently we had the Rasa Sayang Curry chicken and my favorite, Thai Basil Noodle. But any dish you choose will be a winner. Excellent service from friendly staff, too.

The most underrated restaurant in Wilmington! First the owners and staff are amazing, welcoming, and always remember you. The service is excellent but the FOOD!!! I’ve had the wings, the Singapore noodles, the wonton soup, the red curry with duck, and the chicken and potato curry, all EXCELLENT. I’ve eaten in the restaurant and have ordered via door dash, if you haven’t tried them, you must! Most Asian food take out gives me a headache but not here the food quality is just wonderful. Me and my boyfriend order from here at least once a week it’s THAT good ❤️🙏

You have just returned from a long day of hunting insurance companies in litigation, plenty of coins in your leather pouch to fill your ox horn with as many ales and meads as your heart desires. You feel an earned serenity as you raise your drink to your paralegals and shout “Skal!” The greeting is returned in thunderous like manner. After having taken a deep swig from the drink placed in your hand by the local tavern girl, you breathe deeply before placing your hand in the plate of dried reindeer meat and cheese. Ah yes… thé fond memories of Rasa Sayang.

We came here for lunch today, and the food was good. We ordered the roti canai and satay chicken as starters, and then we ordered the shrimp tom yam noodle soup, pad thai with shrimp, thai basil noodle with beef, and pineapple fried rice with roast pork as main dishes. Our favorite part of the meal was the starters, as they were both absolutely delicious! However, the main dishes were good but of average quality and nothing too special. Definitely have had better Malaysian and Thai food, but this place isn’t bad by any means. Definitely would recommend both the roti canai and satay chicken as starters!

Ordered a draft beer and it was bad. Sent it back. Had a bowl of wanton soup. The meat filling in the wantons tasted rancid. Will not be going back.

My family loves this place. The food is delicious. I share the sushi with my older son and my youngest son loves the pork dumplings.

This was a very pleasant surprise. We decided to go here on a recommendation of a friend, so my wife , son , granddaughter went for diner the other night. Their web site still shows them at the Independence plaza, however they have moved to concord Mall. (I believe were McDonald's used to be) Any way the food was great we all got something different and every dish was very good. I got the Curry Chicken Noddle and loved it. My wife got the Chicken Potato Curry. also very good. None of the dishes were all that spicy, I have been in some restaurants that serve curry that seem to take great pleasure in trying to set your head on fire with the heat of the curry. I would say if anything this could have been a touch spicier. Prices are very reasonable, and service was great. It does lack atmosphere but I think that is partly due to the configuration of the space. Being located at the mall there is plenty of parking. Looking for good curry try here.

I tried the Malaysian General chicken, not realizing that it was General Tso's chicken. The syrup is way too sweet for me. Takeout and pickup was really fast and superb!

Highly underrated and hidden in a corner of the Concord Mall, this restaurant is, arguably, the best Asian fusion restaurant in Wilmington. I don't usually waste my time writing reviews, but the food is so good that it's worth me writing about. If spicy and tangy Asian food is your thing, then this is a place you've gotta try at least once. Everything on the menu is good !!

I ordered veg red curry for take out and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. The moment I ordered the box I realized I ordered from the wrong place. The red curry was like red sweet and sour water with big chunks of tomatoes and eggplants. I could not eat half of it and had to throw the rest as the taste was so bad. I do not write reviews very often until something is really bad but after eating food here I was so pissed off and wanted to let everyone know how bad their food is. SO WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME!!!!!!

We loved this restaurant before Covid. They changed the Roti Canai from homemade to store bought pancake. The food is great. Shout out to Poly she is the nicest waitress there!

Reasonably priced restaurant and tasty Malaysian food

I really loved the food. The taste is still amazing. Even after the location has changed, the prices were decent and comparable to the previous location. The ambience is really good and gives us a contemporary look.

Location - Next to Boscov's. Google maps would take you to back side of the mall. The food is great. I would definitely come back again to try their other dishes. We ordered: 1) Roti Canai - 5/5. Must have 2) lettuce chicken wraps - 5/5. Must have 3) Spicy chicken bite - 1/5. Didn't like it 4) Pineapple fried rice - 4/5. My family liked it 5) Singapore rice noodles - 4/5 6) Red curry -4/5. I just wish the vegetables were chopped a bit small rather than bigger chunks of pieces 7) Spicy Cani roll - 3/5 Must try if you are craving thai/Malaysian food or if you are in the area.

Great food. Server made recommendations for the group when she thought they might like something better, and they enjoyed the switch. The Rasa Iced Tea was different and delicious.

Roti canai at this restaurant is an insult to Malay food. The roti is bought from Indian store it is called parotta and a liquid with no vegetable or chicken. Absolutely useless restaurant that does not know how to make Malay food. They should be ashamed of themselves and to think they were once zagat rated is comical. Never going back.

We ordered roti canai, the famous Malaysian appetizer and they gave us the frozen indian paratha and said its the roti canai. When i called them and asked about it they were so rude and also I wish it was specified in the menu that its not the authentic roti canai. Very bad experience.

Not ordering from here again. This was my go to but today no. I wanted to stay inside instead. This is not $30 worth of sushi. I ordered two rolls. Why are the portions smaller than usual. Why is it sliced like a cucumber? Are you worried about running out of food?like. I also bit into this felt sick immediately. Was not expecting this experience after craving this all weekend

One of the fusion restaurant we really enjoyed visiting. The attendants are very attentive, friendly and fast. The owners were always make sure you are enjoying your experience and the food are just deliciously addictive special mentioned their chicken satay, roti canal and their lemon grass shrimp… Ofcourse their crispy duck yummmy and crackling. Wait… shrimp Tom yum to clear your throat … so refreshingly fresh ingredients yet savory

All the servers were friendly and helpful, I left them a little more of a tip than I do at most restaurants. The food was wonderful, on the spicy side but still excellent. Can't wait to go again!!

The best Thai Restaurant in this area, they serve Amazing Red curry and Pineapple rice. Been there a couple of times. Just be there half hr before before closing before cz the manager is a little weird, we had a dispute the last time we went there but the owner is good.

Rasa Sayang has seemed to get better and better over the years. I'm particularly happy with them moving into the Concord Mall. Favorite appetizers of choice: roti canai, chicken satay skewers Favorite rice dishes: green curry chicken, spicy pepper beef. I prefer to order both at the same time. Take some leftovers home if you can't finish them... They will not disappoint. It's a nice mix of sweet, savory, and spicy flavors. Could eat this any time, any day!

The sushi was A+++ here! I got takeout at the mall to treat myself as I haven’t had sushi in quite some time and I was more than happy with my choice to try out this restaurant! I ordered the eel Avocado & cucumber roll and the Hidden Dragon Roll which were both delicious! Not only was my order ready in a speedy 10mins, the man at front desk was super friendly as well—This will now be my go to place to get sushi for my future cravings :)

We had a wonderful first experience, service was great and fast! The food started being served literally five minutes after we ordered. Great sushi ! Malaysian margarita with infused pineapple was a delicious. Happy hour 5/8 p.m.

Consistently get take out from this great restaurant, but if there’s an added fee for picking up your own take-out, I was unaware... $6 soup and $12 entree was inaccurately totaled to $20 which I did not catch until I got home and read the receipt thoroughly. I left an extra tip on top of this inaccurate total. Will have to keep an eye on their addition in future visits.

Worst restaurant in regards with timings, they closed the restaurant 30min before and the staff is very rude.

Don't waste your money!! I Ordered the chicken pad Thai. The flavor was good but only had about 4 pieces of chicken they tried to put tofu chunks in there to look like chicken. I won't be back.

We had a great experience visiting Rasa Sayang during Weekend Dinner! They used to be in the Independence Mall but post COVID they changed their location. This new location in Concord Mall is relatively smaller but very easy to find. We ordered Basil Fried rice, Red Curry, Roti Canai and Vegetable Shushi. Everything there tested very authentic. We had our friend visiting from outside of the country for the very first time we tried Malay-Thai Cuisine and they loved it! Service was very quick and portions are really good compared to their price. We will certainly visit again!

Every time my husband and I come we are greeted kindly, and are always treated well. Best Sushi in the area hands down.
