It's not about being perfect, it's about making it right. This is a philosophy that many in the service industry should understand. Grand Forks Red Lobster, at least for us, went above and beyond. We ordered a curbside to-go order. We got our food, went home and discovered they forgot to give us a bag. Not only did they fix the error, the carry-out manager made sure the missing items were delivered. They also made promises surrounding the mistake, and delivered on each of those promises. I tipped the person who delivered our order, and given the end result of the experience, I probably should have tipped her more. So...what could have been an incredibly negative experience, was turned, incredibly positive. I can't express my gratitude enough. Thank you.

Just wanted to shoot a little praise Julie’s way. We come often and she was the best waitress! So kind to our little 4-year-old girl as well. Our daughter is usually shy but with Julie she was ordering her own food and chatting away with her. She overheard our daughter asking for a lemon and showed up a moment later with a dish of lemon wedges for her. She goes above and beyond. There was a mix-up with which meat belonged on a salad and her attitude remained positive and pleasant throughout the visit- she fixed the issue immediately. On our way out she said goodbye to our daughter and thanked her for her wonderful manners. She’s a wonderful example of how all servers should be. I hope she’s working again next time we come as she really made our night with her wonderful personality. Please pass it along to her that she is a wonderful person and truly made our night so much better. I hope she knows how special she is. The world needs more people like Julie!

For 10 minutes we politely sat at our booth after being seated by the less than enthusiastic hostess. We observed many waiters and waitresses walk by. The restaurant was maybe 1/4 full - so not a busy night in any way. Not a SINGLE person acknowledged that we were there or said "we'll be with you shortly". One waitress was 12 feet away standing at the computer the entire 10 minutes we were sitting in the booth. When we decided a restaurant like this didn't deserve our business, we got up and put our coats on. The waitress that had been at the computer turned around, looked at us getting ready to leave, said nothing, and then turned back to the computer to resume what she was doing. Side note - our last visit to the Red Lobster was for a Christmas party a few months prior. The service was equally as slow and TERRIBLE but we wanted to give them another chance, hoping that it was only terrible because we were with a larger group. The food was great, but I've worked as a waitress in the food service industry enough years to know that the poor service is unacceptable and not worth it even for good food.

I went here on Christmas Eve. The restaurant was fairly busy with all of the servers that I saw having multiple tables. DelRae was my server and she made sure my experience was good. I bought some cheddar bay biscuits and dessert to go, as I was meeting some friends for the holiday. I did have to wait a little while for the food, but it was reasonable considering the number of tables being taken cared of on the holiday. Everyone enjoyed the food, and I would go back again.

Tried to get some extra biscuits to take home to the kids was told we'd be charged for them if we were going to take them home for a $108 seems like a couple of biscuits wouldn't be that big of a deal.. Then when we tried to go to the front to pay our bill and we were chased down by the manager. I'm assuming thinking we were going to dine in dash Not a great ending to our anniversary dinner. The food was O k, though not really sure if it was worth a $108.

This used to be one of my favorite go-to restaurants in Grand Forks. It's definitely not anymore. I don't know if it's management, or staff, or what, but its struggling. We arrived at 5 pm on Friday and was told it would be a 55 to 65 minute wait. The small lobby was over flowing with anxious patrons, but we only saw 3 or 4 tables in the restaurant with people at them, so we were a little confused. After waiting for an hour and 15 minutes, we were seated. Still only about half the tables were full. Our waitor came by to tell us he had to run food out to a table, but would be back soon to get our drink order. About 15 minutes later he came back and asked us for drinks. We had already picked our food, so we gave him both drink and food orders. He apologized again and said he would be back with drinks and biscuits. About another 15 minutes later he came back with drinks and biscuits. It took 45 minutes for food to arrive. Food was sub bar for my family and mine was bad. I ordered simple fish and chips. My fish was one very small piece of fish that was so dried out and shriveled I could barely chew it. Very similar to jerky. Very over cooked. I was not thrilled. The passing supervisor heard me telling my wife about if and apologized and said he would get new fish made. Another half hour passed and the supervisor came over to tell me the kitchen forgot to put that new fish in and said he had them put it in and would hopefully be out soon. I sighed. I waited. I had also been out of my drink since before my first food arrived. It was now almost 8 pm. Three hours since we arrived. I was tired of waiting for my drink and the replacement fish. We flagged down a server and asked for our check. A few minutes later our original waiter came over with the check and I told him about the fish that was re-oreder and that never arrived. He was clueless and didn't even offer to look into it or do anything about it. But like I said, I am not sure if it's bad management, poor staffing, or kitchen staff issues, but as a Grand Forks local who used to frequent Red Lobster, after this experience it will be a long time before I give it another try.

Let me start out by saying the food was very good and my server was very attentive. It was the front of the house, that is making me question whether I want to come back again. Sat in the waiting area for 50 minutes, assuming they were very busy. Only to get walked back to our table to see eight empty tables. There is no reason we couldn't at least be sitting at our table while waiting for a server. The azure tinted lady at the front, well she just made me not a fan anymore.

We had a wonderful meal here last night. It took a little longer than expected to get a table, but it was worth the wait. You don't usually go to Red Lobster for steak, but let me tell you, it was delicious! If you're there on a Wednesday night, get the steak and lobster tail daily special. Great price for great food! The steak was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of seasoning. And of course the lobster tail was excellent. Our server was terrific and took great care of us. Highly recommended!

If I can give zero stars, today would be the day I would. :( had the “new” lobster duo, and all I can say is what a shame. One lobster was extremely over done with tiny pieces of shell in it and one lobster was very under done. The whole meal came out cold. My husband had the two Maine lobster tail dinner and his was very under cooked and cold. He had Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. Again, everything was cold. Such and unpleasant experience. Unfortunately I asked the sever for a vodka ginger and she didn’t know what vodka was 🤦🏻‍♀️. We had to sit in the bar bc there was no table ready for at least an hour and the place had maybe 20 people there. Coming from Canada and paying for this meal with exchange rate was 210$ Canadian - such a massive waste of money. We won’t be back. And we will tell our seafood lover friends to not waste their time or money. So sad to see a seafood place that once thrived go down this bad. And that’s what it was …. Very bad. I can cook better lobster at home.

I dont like giving bad reviews but this is the 2nd time I have tried to eat at this red lobster their service is terrible! I was told a 45-50 minute wait which is a long time but I had nowhere to be. I waited an hour and 20 minutes and they didn't serve us so we walked out and went somewhere else. I will never go back the place wasn't even busy at all. Other red lobsters I have been to are great but not the grand forks one... never again

I used to love Red Lobster, but this one has gone way downhill. We stood up front waiting for the hostess for 5-10 minutes. No one was around, no one was even at the bar. She never apologized for the wait. She told us it was 30-40 minutes to wait for 2 people at almost 2 in the afternoon and the parking lot was empty. Last time we tried to eat here, it was the same experience a few months ago.

We walked in at 7:55 no one at the front desk. We waited for a full 5 minutes . We then Walked to the server area. No one acknowledged us. I stopped a girl and asked if we just seat ourselves as no one was at the desk. She said she was just on her way. She then turned around to talk to a server trying to figure out where they should seat us. We left. We didn’t feel welcome or wanted. The restaurant was open until 9. We turned around and left.

My family and I recently ate here and it was a 2.5 hour process. There were maybe 10 cars in the parking lot when we walked in they told us it would be 30 min wait. Which is frustrating with 3/4 of the seats open in the restaurant. It then took a good 30 mins to get our food. Our waiter was very attentive if we needed anything. Last time we ate here was a year ago and it was the same experience. Very disappointing.

I honestly can’t believe this restaurant is still in business. I do understand that it’s hard to find good help but then maybe they shouldn’t be open. We opted to sit at the bar because there was a thirty minute wait for a table. The hostess told us there was only one other person eating in there. The bartender told us a couple minutes. We waited 25 minutes and then left. She never even asked us for a drink order. There was people waiting in there for 40 minutes for Togo orders! I just can not believe the costumer service these days, I think it’s become a thing of the past. You work hard for your money and with the cost of everything these days, it’s really sad to believe a restaurant like red lobster could be so disappointing. It’s not like we went to a pizzeria. But after we left there, Culver’s was definitely a better option.

It was a great night at Red Lobster with my mother. We both ordered the ‘Ultimate Endless Shrimp’ for $20. Loved the food. Our server was pretty amazing. Most of all, it was a wonderful and memorable supper with my mother. I loved to see her smile while we were enjoying our shrimp. My mother even shares… “I had a most rewarding supper with my son. I had a gift certificate for ‘Red Lobster.’ Needless to say, we had outstanding service & both had 3 kinds of awesome shrimp. I have not been to ‘Red Lobster’ in a very long time, but will definitely go back sooner next time.”

We once had a waitress here that was absolutely phenomenal. I have not seen her in a few years, but the service from the other waitresses is also good. The food was quite expensive, but I was able to find something affordable on the menu. I was surprised that there was a 12-year-old's birthday party going on. There were kids crying, which I didn't really mind, but it did affect the atmosphere.

Jaw droppingly unprofessional. Cant comment on the food bc they rejected us even with a reservation. Called in hours in advance and made a reservation for 6 . 6. Not 20. The hostess took the reservation and repeated the details back at least 3 times including our phone #. We drove over 1 hour to get there and this same hostess refused to seat us bc "they are short staffed". There were 8 people sitting waiting for a table. I asked if they all had reservations too and was told "we cant seat you bc we are short staffed". I asked them what the difference was between 3 tables of 2 or 1 table of 6. I got a blank stare. I asked to speak with the manager bc this hostess didnt even bother to call us to cancel it! She came back and told me both managers were unavailable bc they were busy in the kitchen. Are they chefs? There were literally a half dozen cars in the parking lot and 80% of the tables were EMPTY. Apparently the managers were busy in the kitchen and didnt have the nads to come talk to me. The hostess was painful to talk to. Disgusting service all around. Olive Garden down the street were packed but did everything they could to get us in WITHOUT a reservation. Olive garden was beyond amazing..will be rating them next. Short staffed eh? Maybe bc you suck? Your managers are weiners (i have a better word but would be inappropriate in a google review) and your hostess is a robot with zero customer service skills (forehead slap). Go anywhere else people! (Negative stars)

Had to try the lobster and shrimp tacos during Lobsterfest. Very tasty and good sized portions. Three tacos will fill you up. Can't miss with their biscuits either. Our server, Alison was very friendly and knew when to check on us. Overall a good visit, just a little on the expensive side for lunch.

Just as expensive as ever. No where near the former level of service and quality. Thr cheddar bay biscuits, after nearly an hour when we finally got some, were great. Where do I start? For one… our experience at this location was phenomenal. We had a great waitress, the location was clean and our food was served hot and ready quickly. My family and I were traveling from Williston and we were in a large rental vehicle. I made the mistake of taking my house keys with my wallet attached and my car key attached inside to the restaurant out of habit. Well, I left my keys behind inside of Red Lobster. By the time I got home (6 hours) away, I realized this and started calling around. I called Red Lobster and a nice gentleman by the name of David answered the phone. I asked if there were keys left behind and he quickly told me yes. He was very pleasant to speak with. I asked him kindly if he would be okay with sending my keys to me and tried to figure out ways to do so. He told me without hesitation he would help me and he had no issues going to UPS for me. I was so happy. I ended up going onto the shippers website and when I did so, it had an option to schedule a pickup. So I did. I sent the label to David and let him know. The following day, I saw traction and saw that my keys were on their way. Yay!! Later come to find out the shipper lost my package an investigation was open and then they sent my keys back to Grand Forks to Red Lobster. It’s very humbling to reach out to people you don’t know and ask forget another favor. You feel like an annoyance, however I called and asked for David. He was not in but Emily was. Emily was so pleasant, empathetic and patient. She assured me that she would get my keys sent out to me. I created another label and my keys were driven to UPs and were shipped to me. I didn’t have to bug them. I just communicated. I felt like a pest by nature but they never made me feel like one. I never heard a sigh, a mumble or grumble. They were so helpful. The next time I am in Grand Forks, I will leave my keys in the rental if we travel with one and then I will gladly come in, order and enjoy my meal. I will always support this location because this group of people (waitress and managers) were so amazing!!! Thank you Red Lobster Team!! I got my keys and had the greatest experience with you all. In the restaurant and outside. I am so thankful to you all.

Our visit to this Red Lobster was amazing!!! What made it so much more amazing, outside of the food was our waitress! She made our visit so awesome! Her name is Faustina. Ray of sunshine, beautiful on the outside as well on the inside. She had no complaints on the very many trips we had her make. She was on top of all of our drinks, she was so kind and pleasant. She made all of us feel great and especially my cousin for her “half birthday”. If you ever see this, Faustina… please continue being you. Please continue to keep a smile on your face. Please continue to remain happy and never stop. You stood out to us so much and I thank you!!!

We were set down among 1 and 3 booths. One booth had sheet rock workers in it. They left and the booth was cover in sheet rock dust and it was all over the floor and seats. The other tables were needing busing too. We ordered our food and for the price I was underwhelmed. The lobster was over cooked and rubbery. We were there for 1 hour and the tables were left dirty. I brought my fiancé there to show her a nice place because that is what I remember what it used to be. She was surprised that it looked very casual almost unkempt for a place that charges upscale prices.

We showed up on a Saturday around 2pm with about 5 cars in the parking lot. When we walked in, there were 2 or 3 parties waiting to be seated. We were told a 30-40 minute wait. We left and went to Texas Roadhouse who had a full lot and they seated us right away. They must not be paying people a competitive wage?

I arrived at Red Lobster in Grand Forks at 5:30. I noticed there were hardly any cars in the parking lot. I went inside and there were very few people in the restaurant. I ordered a 20 once beer and waited over 10 minutes for it. I also ordered my meal at the same time I ordered my beer. I had lobster stuffed mushrooms which took over 20 minutes to get. My meal came 15 minutes after my app. My baked potato was warm not hot, my salmon was almost cool and my shrimp was cool. I didn't get nor was I offered any hot drawn butter for my lobster. All in all I won't be back. The waitress mentioned they are short staffed, like everywhere. Start paying a decent wage get some help and your business might get back on track like it was before the pandemic.

We originally went on Friday, Nov 5th, but we were told it would be an hour wait. We tried calling for a reservation on Sat, Nov 6th, & we were told they only accept reservations for parties of 5 or more ppl, not for two ppl, so we went again. This time we were told it was a 30min wait, & decided to stay. Turns out it wasn't that they were filled w/ customers, but that they only had 2 ppl working short staffed, & only had 2ppl working, as hostess, waitress & busboy, so only about 5 tables were being used that weekend! But the food ordered was great, as was our waitress/hostess. But they lost many customers both nights, being so short staffed!!

Waited 45 minutes for food, the only explanation was, after our server walked by us as we asked her, "it's coming, we're short staffed". I would have waited forever if she let us know, checked in on us (we got no refills on drinks or biscuits) or acted like she cared when we did ask her

The service could be better, barely full restaurant and still had to wait to be seated for over 20 minutes only one other family actually in the restaurant in front of us waiting for a table. The food is good but slow coming out.

So incredibly slow with an empty restaurant. 1.5 hours to get our food. Our waitress was good and attentive to our table, but not many people have 2.5 hours to eat mediocre butter soaked shrimp. I will think twice about ever going here again.

I’ve been here two weeks in a row and going again tonite. I’m not from Grandforks but do know the kid named Dylan is one of the most polite kids I’ve seen work here in the 30 years I’ve been going to this place. You couldn’t ask for a better waiter then him. He deserve to get a hell of a lot More money then the North Dakota law lets restaurant workers make. If you see this younger kid try get him as your waiter and you will enjoy your dine in allot better then most! 🤘🏻

Waitress was bad. FOOD was even worse! Our Daughter got sick as the lobster tail looked raw. No hot butter to even warm it up. Fries were cold and too salty. My fish was not hot either. Expensive and not good.
