I was in town for work for a week and was lucky to roll through this restaurant the first night there. I ended up coming three nights in a row until they basically closed for the week. The bartender was crazy knowledgable and I learned more about mixology and odd facts than I knew was possible. The food was an elevated experience with a menu that the chef changes (who is also the owner). Artwork inside is by a local artist whose murals you can also see in town. Overall I would have come in here every night if it was open that often. I didn't find a restaurant of this caliber anywhere else in the Aberdeen area. Highly recommend especially Friday or Saturday night.

OMG!!! Travel and food are our "why", and this place tops the list of all-time favorites! The Oregon/Washington coast is absolutely incredible, and this place is by far the best restaurant along the way! Great service, exceptional atmosphere, and unbelievable flavors! Do yourself a favor, and treat yourself to an experience at Rediviva.

It would have been 5 stars and a $20.00 tip if they have included a dessert option when I called and book a reservation other then that 5 star for customer service

Excellent food, but don't rely on online photos to know what's on the menu. It's not a fixed menu and changes depending upon... maybe it's based on market availability? One less star for no dessert menu the day we were there. The cocktails are great.

Nine of us went for early dinner at 5:30 on a Friday. We ordered a variety of dishes and everyone had a great experience. Drinks were quickly served and our server Jen was gracious about waiting for one of our party to arrive. Food was beautifully presented with an amazing variety of flavors. Ingredients were fresh and everything was freshly prepared when it arrived in approximately 45 minutes from ordering. Juicy burgers, huge salads with blue cheese layered throughout, tender halibut to name a few. We all enjoyed it.

Nice place, bartender nailed my unusual drink request. That's the good. Food took way to long to arrive at our table. I ordered the hanger steak, at $43 it was ridiculously small and not even cooked to order. Came with some bizarre veggies that I couldn't even recognize, those were overcooked as opposed to my undercooked steak. At those prices and that wait to get our food I have no reason to ever go back. Nope, nope nope.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. Aberdeen isn't really a town of culinary adventure. Options are limited. But this place is a jewel amongst this otherwise pretty boring town. The menu changes all the time with fresh / local ingredients. I think the portion for the price / quality is very reasonable. It is not a restaurant you hurry at. Good food takes time and is worth waiting for. Majority of the dishes I've tried have been so nearly perfect. Occasionally they are over salted or lack something to balance it (acid, crunch, etc). This restaurant is just as good or better than anything in the Bellevue/ Seattle area. Cozy atmosphere and top notch service. Definitely worth a visit even if you're not in the area.

Had high hopes for this place. We arrived on time for our reservations. The places was half full. The selection of adult beverages was not very impressive. After ordering a beer and dinner we waited for ever for our appetizer. It was tuna poke and you didn't even have to cook it so not sure why it took 30 minutes. It was tasty. After another 45 our dinner finally arrived. The burger was large and good, but no fries or sides was odd. Same with the wife's scallops. The prices were about the same you would see in Seattle or Bellevue with a very limited menu and only one small steak option. Better options in town for a nice meal at half the price.

First and foremost let me say that this is one of the best restaurants i have been to in a while! From start to finish the food takes you on a culinary joyride that ensnares your senses! The Harissa Carrots and Roasted Romanesco were amazing appetizers and could not have been more delicious!!! My husband had the Stinging Nettle Rigatoni while i had the Rediviva Burger and both were out of this world (the bordelaise sauce on the burger was absolute heaven and both dishes may be the best i have ever tried of there kind!). This restaurant has a rotating menu based on seasonal availability and the whim of a genius chef who has mastered the art of marrying flavors together and i look forward to our next visit!!! The service was spot on as well and our server Jen was an absolute delight and hope to see her again on our next visit this later this year! Also one more thing before i end this review is that their craft cocktails were some of the best I've had in a long time and i highly recommend the espresso martini, though you cant go wrong with any of the other drinks either!

Holy fricken Christ! I have to say that this place utterly floored me with everything from service, drinks, ambiance, to of course food! Let me just say I do not give this level of praise lightly. As a professional chef, former restauranteur, and having worked and eaten at some of the best places in the country, this place is unquestionably a hidden gem. Hidden only because of location. If you threw this place into Seattle/San Francisco/Miami/etc, it would unquestionably be one of the top spots. Again, I don't say this lightly and I have lived and eaten and worked in all aforementioned places. To start, the service was beyond friendly and knowledgeable. My server was super sweet, came by exactly when needed but didn't hover, and was just such a pleasure to talk to. I eventually spoke with the bartender a bit and he too was super friendly and very knowledgeable. I ordered the whipped ricotta to start and OMG it was amazing. Perfectly grilled sourdough focaccia, just enough char and paired perfectly with the sweet and creamy ricotta. Next I tried their Fried Oyster Roll which I mostly ordered because I love fried oysters when done right. These were probably the best I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth center with a delectably crunchy exterior. The slaw/veggie topping was a perfect complement to cut through the richness and made it hard to stop. Lastly I finished with the Sable fish, which was a divine revelation. Seared to perfection, with wonderful sauted bok choy and house made pasta that all just came together in harmony. I will say that I felt the pasta was mildly sweet as well as the fish, so they kind of muddied each other's flavor profile, but since they were so perfect on their own, I don't feel it just to knock them for it. I also enjoyed three very different cocktails and they were all top notch. I honestly can't remember the name of any of them, but something tells me that it wouldn't matter which you ordered. They were that good (and that unique). If you enjoy amazing food, great service, delicious drinks, and all at what I truly believe is a fantastic price point for the quality, then you will not be disappointed. My only negative is that I'm leaving town this afternoon and won't be able to enjoy them again this evening!

Well, this was a nice surprise of a place in of all places downtown Aberdeen. I sorta heard about it a while back. I visited my brother helping him out with a project of his in Aberdeen. And so I said hey let's get dinner somewhere nice. Let's invite grandma, too. Thomas, he thought Happy Teryaki, which is a dive of a place, and I said no, how about this new place I heard about... the atmosphere is fantastic. It's definitely a Seattle restaurant downtown vibe to it. Music was jazzy, and I lived the dimmed lighting. The food... was OMG was fantastic. The prices are decent and expected for that quality of food and atmosphere. Service was great as well. Jen served us the other to the owner of the establishment. I don't tip the 20% often, especially in these times of BideN Flation! But I felt good giving my 20% at this please. Definitely great place. I highly recommend people to go. I'll be going again for sure and maybe next time I should ask Jen out...

This is one of best gourmet fine dining establishments in Aberdeen area, and not to be missed. Good setting, located centrally, easy parking. Quaint and laid back casual, with a good atmosphere. Small-medium dining area (not crammed) like 20 tables, with separate bar area -a real cocktail bar with a real bartender, and you will always find something delicious on the menu, amazing short rib, seafood (black cod) with a chef that pushed it up a notch to fine dining. Plan on a special night out, it will be moderately expensive, good service, but you get what you pay for, and you don't be disappointed. And you'll be back. The menu items on the ratings don't reflect the full menu.

Wow! I mean wow! Recently, my husband and I enjoyed a PNW road trip, which led us to an overnight in Aberdeen, Wa. We looked into restaurants and Rediviva intrigued us. Literally, one of the best tasting meals we've ever enjoyed! We had the roasted butternut squash dish and a scallops dish. Apparently, the squash had been slow steam cooked for a long time before being pan roasted, with a great glaze/topping. We'd never had anything like it - and we've lived in dined in SF, Chicago, NYC, and Baltimore - meaning, we're not just "meat and potatoes" eaters. Both dishes relied heavily on great flavor combos and saturation, as opposed to the typical too much salt or "let's add heat and call ourselves interesting" thing we experience at a lot of places. It was art. What a treat. The bartender is the chef's sister and we learned that the chef's father helped remodel the space. In other words, Rediviva feels true to its intention of locally sourced ingredients, including the sweat equity and love of family who supports its artist/chef son. Indeed, we enjoyed fantastic meals all throughout our trip from Portland, along the coast and in to Seattle. Love the whole area! Rediviva is on par with anything we enjoyed anywhere.

I was visiting from out of state and had the pleasure of dining at Rediviva and I must say, the food was absolutely amazing. Whether you were in the mood for seafood, steak, or vegetarian dishes, there was something for everyone. The attention to detail in the presentation of each dish was exceptional, with vibrant colors and artistic plating that made each plate a work of art. My friend suggested I had the burger and let me tell you every bite was a burst of flavor, and I couldn't help but savor each mouthful. Please don’t skip out on the dessert it was the perfect ending to an already remarkable meal. What really set this dining experience apart was not only the incredible food but also the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable experience. Overall, I cannot speak highly enough about the food. It was truly a culinary masterpiece, with each dish expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. If you're looking for a dining experience then Rediviva is a must-visit. Hands down the most hipster-haven place I have ever visited. I honestly tried to give this place a chance, (despite the sinking feeling in my gut when our "friends" from Seattle spoke so highly of it). My wife wanted to celebrate, and suggested this place. Service charges added (the menu suggests it's for 'dietary restrictions', but it's added to your receipt, regardless). Nearly $100 for a single, chewy mushroom, a bowl of salty sea-asparagus, a cocktail that tasted like a cinnamon candy drowned in patchouli, and a glass of pinot. The restaurant has its own cliq; it was obvious that repeat patrons received priority service. Meaning, as first timers, we went nearly 35 minutes without our waitress checking in on us, while the table next to us, conversed with the chef and had their waitress check up on them every 5 minutes. - I couldn't choke down my $20 cocktail; it tasted like the perfume section of a Kohl's. It pained me to waste (both morally and financially), but I left it untouched, despite the first sip; and asked for a beer, instead. I will hard pass this place; your intuition and wallet will thank you.

I found the prices to be pretty reasonable for a higher end restaurant where you get quality food. Edit: the next time we went there, we did not experience the issues listed below. I've increased my review accordingly. Warning; all of the reviews stating a potentially VERY LONG WAITING PERIOD FOR YOUR FOOD ARE LEGIT. Short review: the food is exquisite (it is pricey). The food portions are QUITE adequate (I noticed a few reviews previously that said the portion were on the smaller side....maybe the chefs noticed and changed things by this point, but if not, the portions are quite satisfying as they were). The staff need some serious tightening up/training. That aside, let me explain to you our experience. We reserved ahead and upon walking in a few minutes early, we were immediately seated. The restaurant was maybe 1/2 to 2/3 full at the maximum of our stay. Water came. Kind service came; our waitress explained how the menu worked (which was nice!). OF COURSE the menu was not the same as what we saw online as this restaurant is very vocal about a potentially daily/weekly menu change due to whatever is fresh and locally available (so it often can change daily). So we knew that. No docked points there. The music was kind of loud for me personally, but ok. It was savvy. No points docked there. The environment was comfortable. We ordered drinks and food. The drinks are YUMMY. Strong enough to notice the alcohol but balanced and tasty and unique. We waited approximately 45-50 minutes for our sides/appetizers to arrive (both of which were the same kind of soup). It was annoying a little, but the food was exquisite. I have not had such a tasty soup in 15 years. We ate and again found ourselves waiting quite a long time for the main course. So my partner asked a particular waitress staff member who had been seen hanging around the bar but not doing a whole lot to set up another drink for him. She literally ROLLED HER EYES and SHOOK HER HEAD as it was, i guess, an obvious annoyance/inconvenience. It's been while since I felt so....bad to ask someone on the clock to order something as our waitress was clearly busy. If we weren't spending nearly $100 per person, maybe I wouldn't have minded but BOY was it a bit much to swallow. We waited quite a bit more (a table that entered after us got their food before us, but maybe their orders were less complicated than ours (and yes, he got his drink in the mean time)). Our waitress offered their sourdough bread starter as a comp for our wait. We accepted. Our dinner ended up coming right before the comp; we turned down the comp at that point because we're were so full and offered it to another table. The dinner? Some of the best food we've ever had. Delicious (I wish I asked for a spoon to slurp up the juices/sauce). Perfect. Fun, different, natural. We WILL be coming back again (5☆ alone), if nothing else excited about the next different menu. Upon receipt, the waitress forgot that the comp was a comp (and that we ended up turning it down) and had the cost added to our order. We had it corrected with ease. Maybe the restaurant reads their reviews; I SO BADLY wanted to give the restaurant a 5-star review because the food was mind-blowing. It was inventive, fun, local....the kinds of things we see in cooking shows. But the 3-star service made me feel compelled to settle at a 4 star review. As a local, we WILL be back and will be excited for what the menu holds. I hope the service is a bit tightened up. Also though, as a local hiring manager, I understand how hard it is to find enough quality employees in the area to run a smooth shift 🤷‍♀️. Thank you for bringing this level of cuisine to Aberdeen, WA.

Hands down the classiest restaurant in Grays Harbor. Unique & delicious food, creative menu with fantastic service & romantic atmosphere. Not really a value menu situation though, wouldn't suggest going there on a tight budget lol but you get what you pay for, which is quality. If you're trying to impress someone, this is where to take them.

after driving by this place dozens of times on the way to Ocean shores. , so glad we finally tried it. Nice ambiance. Attentive wait staff. The garlic focaccia bread with sea salt butter was amazing. My wifes seafood was amazing. Inexplicably they have no desserts on the menu.

Unexpectedly had to stay a night in Aberdeen and so glad we got to experience this restaurant. Delicious, fresh farm-to-table food with original dishes. Highly recommend for craft cocktails and shareable plates so you can get a taste of everything. The focaccia was so good we got one to go. Plus, fried clams, ribeye, pasta carbonara, and acorn squash. Cleaned the plates on every dish. Going to have to make an excuse to come back to Aberdeen just for this restaurant!

9/17/2022 - Rediviva had become my favorite restaurant. I've been here multiple times, now, and I've never been disappointed in the slightest. My 1st review: I hate being the last group before the kitchen closes, but the Chef assured us he was happy to have us - I'm so glad he was! We couldn't believe how good everything was: the steaks were unbelievable, the bread and leek butter (so good I wanted to sneak some out in my pockets) was amazing, and the "Harpoon" was a perfect drink. Who knew I'd be pampering my pallet in Aberdeen this weekend?

This place is an absolute gem! We spent the day in Olympic National Park and really wanted to finish up our day with a nice meal. This is the only restaurant of its kind around and it did not disappoint! Delicious craft cocktails, beautiful wine list with lots of local wines, and incredible food to match. We had the roasted carrots and fennel with smoked yogurt and harissa. This dish was spot on and we are still talking about it. We also enjoyed the kale caesar with parmasean tuille. I love a good caesar and this one also hit the spot. For dinner we had the Dover Sole with roasted mushrooms, pickled champagne grapes, and a kombu beurre blanc. Absolutely incredible! We spent one week traveling between Washington and Oregon sightseeing and looking for the most delicious food available. This unsuspecting place was the best meal of our entire trip! Thank you for a wonderful evening and keep doing what you are doing!

Expensive but pretty good food and service. The olives appetizer was definitely worth it. The lemon slice+ various olives + hot peppers was great. If only there was bread for the olive oil. (Sigh: what restaurant doesn't serve bread). The scallops were good - too much dill in our 3 pallets but gruyere was good. The flank steak was a little rare but flavorful. The farrow absorbed some of the juice and was a great pairing. The gnocchi was velvety and delicious albeit over salted. The pork belly was with kale and grits. It wasn't Asian flavoring that I associate with pork belly but it was great. The drinks were also really good. I was hoping for more seafood but there weren't any- not even oysters. Staff was friendly and service fast. Some reviews complained of slow service so I measured it: 14 minutes from order to appetizer, 18 minutes between appetizer eaten to entree. Pretty standard.....

Had an amazing dinner with friends to celebrate a birthday. Effortless online reservation system had us promptly seated with a birthday card on the table from the staff. Great server who warned us to expect a wait of up to 40 minutes for our dinner. Our "small plates" arrived sooner and were delicious. The wait between courses allowed time to digest and not feel full or rushed. We didn't mind the wait; the drinks were great, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful, and we had a fantastic time relaxing and enjoying the evening. We were there a little over two hours and left very satisfied. Rediviva is a gem with fresh seasonal and local food. Go with people you love to enjoy a night out.

This was my second time here. It is an excellent spot and a bit more upscale than most of the options around town. It is quite busy so expect to sit at the bar if you do not have reservations, but enjoy watching the impressive bartender if you do! Not a great many vegetarian options but the salad I had was satisfying and perfect for a warm day.

This was a really unfortunate experience because this place started out with a 4/5 review and quickly dropped two stars based on the chefs responses to a comment. We ordered 5 dishes and 4 of them were great, well executed and nicely plated. The 5th dish, was a cod dish that was SO SALTY it was not edible. We're not talking about slightly over salted here. After you took a bite, you had to immediately chug water to attempt to dilute the tsp of salt you just consumed. OK, so not the end of the world, mistakes happen in the kitchen. Our server saw we hadn't touched the cod and asked if it was OK and we told her it was inedible because of salt and her response was "ohhh, yeah Andy really likes salt, that's the way he likes that dish." Our server had her hands full and said she'd come back to clear plates but another server beat her to bussing our table, saw the untouched cod and asked if it was OK... We said the same thing to her and her response was virtually the same as the previous server "ohh yup, that's Andy for you, he loves salt!". wow. We then made our own mistake in retrospect by ordering dessert (miso crème brûlée) and (shocker) it was also inedible because the burnt custard was likely a layer of PURE salt from the miso. After another comment from our server about Andy's love for salt and "how he likes to season things" we were done. It's really unfortunate because the staff was overall nice, attentive and dishes were executed well. Cocktails were OK for Aberdeen but unfortunately, the staff need so coaching on responses and Andy needs to dial back on the salt significantly.

After a long travel day, we decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner and could not have been more pleased with Rediviva in Aberdeen WA. Everything I put in my mouth was amazing. The Salt-N-Pepa drink was so yummy I had two; the salad with green olive and peanut tapenade with tomato confit was great and never have I had Pacific Halibut with a more perfect preparation. The Chef Andy Bickar did a outstanding job and our server Krystal B could not have been more helpful. Just don’t be in a hurry as food this great takes some time. Just FYI - Menu changes on a regular basis.

Wow, what a great place! Small, intimate setting, with good service and great food to boot. There were honestly only a couple things I dropped a star for, and really if I could only drop a half star, that would probably be more appropriate. The cocktails were all outstanding, especially the "I'm on Fire" and I would highly recommend that be on a regular rotation if not a full time selection! Starting out with the first course of Hazelnut-potato milk "soup", king trumpet mushroom, and herbs; it was impeccable and this was my first time having trumpet mushroom, it was delicious. My second course was the seared scallops, accompanied by a celery root puree, arugula, hazelnut, and brown butter; it was simple perfection. For her second course,my date had the roasted beets encased in pastry, cave bleu cheese, beet espuma, and beet caramel; this was so delicious we are planning on recreating a variation at home. My main course was supposed to be the Braised foreshank of lamb, corn polenta, chimichurri, and baby beets. This is were things diverge slightly. Reason being, above is how it was worded on the menu, but not what I was served... However, the lambshank I got was freaking delicious in its own right. In the spirit of full disclosure, I did not ask the server why it was different, but only because it was still divine. There was no chimichurri or beets to speak of, rather what tasted like a five spice braise. I would have appreciated it if menu changes were made, that I was told when ordering, but again it was so good, it was immediately forgiven. Wrapping up with the dessert course, the french press coffee was top notch, and it was a good thing because the Mascarpone mousse (Red fruit cake, fresh berries, mascarpone mousse, and raspberry powder) was very lacking of flavor and the cake was absolutely arid. Again, the divergence here is that the dessert my date had, the flourless chocolate torte with hazelnut crust, tamarind, and black sesame caramel, blew my mind with flavors and texture. The service was great, even with the lamb shank oversight, and the courses were timely without being rushed and overall we had an amazing evening with plans to go back again soon. I highly recommend and would say my final star rating is more like 4.5 - 4.75 stars and definitely a gem in the heart of Aberdeen. Kudos to the team at Rediviva!

Fantastic food. Adventurous, bold and beautiful plate presentation. Lovely cocktails. Adequate service for the times. I’d enjoy an evening there again and recommend it to friends. One small thing I would say, and it’s the other customers, not the staff or food at all. Men of Aberdeen, take off your ball caps when you’re sitting at the table of a fine dining establishment, it is gauche.

We went for my wife’s 40th (surprise) birthday party with 10 total people. We all had a great time! Drinks were a little spendy, but there was a good variety and full bar. Service was great and very accommodating with a cute 40th cake topper for a delicious pile of beignets as dessert. Serving pace was on the slower side which I found perfect for the occasion, our dinner ran about 2.5 hours. Food was primarily very good, almost everyone fully enjoyed their meal. We had an assortment of appetizers and main courses. The black n bleu oysters were very tasty and the kale salad filling. The only meal that was less than expected was the burger which was a bit over done and the raspberry sauce was not complementary, though the price was quite reasonable. The menu is a constantly changing “farm to table” type offering so always a new experience. All-in-all it was an amazing time and the owner and servers did wonderful, making my wife’s birthday great!

Just bought a house here two years ago and can't believe we had not tried this place, nice atmosphere, great bartender, food was fresh and awesome, I asked the bartender if they had oyster shooters and before he could answer the chef/owner came out and said sure and made them for me. Awesome top shelf martini's. We will be back, not many tables a few bar seats, we were there about 5 pm on a Friday and the phone rang about every 5 minutes people trying to make reservations and after a few calls i heard them say they were fully booked for the night, so it's pretty obvious where the locals go on a Friday Night

Brian was attentive and personable. If there were one thing that I would change, I will order my steak bloody rare next time. It was a little closer to med rare than I prefer. If I find Tartar on the menu, I will order that next time. My dil is very food aware and eats out often in Seattle and east side. She said the duck was perfect. We will be back.

Rediviva is a little hard to spot on your first visit, it's facade is classy yet simplistic, it wants to attract those who seek it out. Step inside and the space is small but inviting. The lighting is cozy, the wood is dark, and the atmosphere is soothing. The bar beckons those wanting a cocktail and maybe a bite. Tables are sat with couples having low conversations, maybe a date night, and occasionally you'll catch a group having a lively meal (call ahead if you are going as a group, seating for groups is limited) Art on the walls changes from time to time and showcases some of Gray's Harbor's best artists. The selection of whiskey is outstanding, and most spirits are top quality, even the well is on the higher end. The menu is simple and rotates often based on what's available locally. There are some permanent offerings such as the Black and Blue Oysters, which are baked on the half shelf with blue cheese (sauce? Not sure, they're just delish) They restock their kitchen every 2 days or so with local produce, and hardly keep anything frozen, (I believe) the proprietor also designs the menu, and the kitchen is skilled, so the quality is superb. The bartenders are knowledgeable, so whether you choose a craft cocktail from their extensive drink menu, want a glass of wine or a craft brew, or just your favorite elixir, they have you covered. Don't come if you're in a rush for food, but it is worth every bit of the wait it can sometimes have if they're busy. Rediviva is a place to relax, sip, and possibly conversate with those you know, or even make new acquaintances. It's a place of respite, with a sense of refinement in a somewhat straining community.
