Ive been to this theater twice. Never in my life have i experienced such rude service. I hope whomever works there reads this piece of advice..if you don't like your job, LEAVE..if there was another place within 100 miles to catch a movie around here i would do so

Crazy how a little cinema like this, Has the best pizza in Bar Harbor! We were waiting for the bus, so we decided to go across the street and grab a beer and a small pizza! The staff was super nice, and the pizza WAS AMAZING! Highly recommend, You don’t even have to watch the movie you can eat right out front!

We’ve been coming every year to Reel Pizza since they first opened almost 30 years ago. All of the pizza is delicious, but the Godzilla is a personal favorite. Grab a local draft beer and relax on one of the kitschy old couches with a tv tray to enjoy your movie. They do an intermission to ensure you don’t miss any action if you have to refresh on food or a bathroom break.

One of my favorite places. It can definitely be busy in the summer tourist season, and can be difficult to find parking, but still totally worth the visit!

7:34 Aug 4, 2024. Extremely Rude! The girl behind the glass, when we first walked in, did not greet us. Instead, she waited until we took it upon ourselves to enter and asked in an angry tone "umm can I help you" with a disgusted look on her face. I dont know if she was having a bad day, but this was uncalled for and extremely unprofessional.

Nice theater, the couch covers had food on them, and no tables for the first few rows of couches. They do have tv trays however, which made it easier to eat our pizza.

Had a wonderful time at Reel Pizza! The pizza was very good, they offer an intermission during the movie, the seats were comfortable enough, and they even have sofas as the first few rows. Nice drink selection. Good for families and adults.

What a great theater! Only 2 screens but they play current movies. Cost $8.50 a person and you choose your seat. A refillable bowl of popcorn was $7. Completely reasonable, and it came in an actual metal mixing bowl just like at home!! Loved it! The seats are old school but there is a table in front of you to use. There is an actual intermission to get refills and go to the bathroom without missing the movie. Such a good time! My family loved it!

If you're in bar harbor, this is the place to see a movie. Also probably the best pizza in town

This place was amazing. I would LOVE to have something like this in my town. The pizza was really good--my son leaned over and whispered this is the best pizza I've ever had during the movie. What an experience sitting on a couch (with couch covers I suspect are changed quite frequently and they were very clean so no fear of sitting in other people's food). This is a must experience for a bar harbor night. We got lucky they had a kids movie. I'd recommend they do a 5 pm showing of a kids movie every night even if not a new release because this is the ultimate family experience. We would have gone two nights in a row.

A not so subtle attempt at making this a home theater. Charming but could be cleaner.

So adorable and fun! Couches up front with TV tables. Regular seating behind with counter space for your drinks and snacks. Good views and sound.

Best way to do date night at the movies! The entire setup was a mix of going to the movies and watching a flick in your living room. Food and service were awesome and they do an intermission so you can use the bathroom and refresh your drinks without missing anything. Highly recommend!

Cool indy movie theater. Enjoyed visiting but couches up front looked old and dingy. Wish they had more beer selection but happy to see a little craft beer.

Was an unexpected surprise to find this in Bar Harbor. Great place to unwind after a busy day exploring. Pizza was good, beer was cold, couches were comfortable and we enjoyed the movie.

While I was hoping to do dinner and a movie together, given tight time constraints I had to settle just for the pizza - which you can get to go off the regular menu. Pizza was hot and fresh, and smelled good too - a bit expensive, but then again it is Bar Harbor. Hopefully next year I will get to finally dine and watch a film simultaneously

Went to see the movie "Oppenheimer". It is a dinner/movie place and you can eat at your seat. Prices were reasonable and the food was good. Staff are very nice and the theater is pretty clean. Comfortable seating. Nothing to complain about.

Low key, very affordable movie tickets, an array of pizza and popcorn toppings, and the pizza was good for Maine pizza. A medium thickness good tasting crust, more cheese than I’d like but still good.

Saw Oppenheimer while on vacation. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff! Really good gluten-free pizza with interesting topping choices you won't find many places. We were the first ones at the show, but the couches had cumbs and food stains, though that's to be somewhat expected with cloth at a dine in place. Overall, it was an awesome experience!

Bought one piece of cheese pizza to go the pizza taste mushy like it had been sitting under a heating lamp for 48 hours. what a disappointment 😡

What a fun concept. Great little set up for dinner and a movie. Decent tap selection & the pizza was very good. Probably one of the cheapest meals we had in Bar Harbor!

SO crowded while waiting to order! Larger capacity for bathroom stalls would be nice, too, but it is what it is. We really liked the whole wheat crust pizza, although it was a bit pricey. It is nice to have tabletops for enjoying food and beverages during the movie. We also appreciated the intermission! The movie had a good sound level.

This is to review the pizza, not the cinema The cinema looks wonderful but it was sold out for the weekend, so we didn't get a chance to try it However, we unfortunately tried the pizza and it was really one of the top 5 worst pizzas I've ever had The flavor was bad and the cheese slips off the slice, so you'll find yourself picking it up and trying to organize it before every bite. Truly bad

Didn’t receive food we ordered before our movie, when we asked for a refund we were told it was our fault that we didn’t ask why it wasn’t ready during intermission

This is such a fun place! With delicious gourmet pizza; they even have a whole wheat crust option!! Also freshly popped popcorn, fresh cut fruit and wine among other libations! What?! And a movie! Some seating is typical with an added counter-type table, and in front rows are couches with TV trays! So much fun for families! Wonderful atmosphere with a relaxed have fun vibe! We had a rainy day and chose to go to a late afternoon show to see the new Tom Cruise Mission Impossible movie. This whimsical movie theater pizzeria is right off the free Island Explorer bus system at the Village Green downtown Bar Harbor; just a quick hop on hop off right across from the theater! We were sooo pleasantly surprised that they had pizza with WW crust and it was Fantastic! I would say this is an absolute must-do experience on your visit to Bar Harbor! #❤️ReelPizzaCinerama!

We only ate hear, sadly didn't have time to see a movie. The pizza was delicious! The service was excellent! Food came fast and staff were happy and eager. We sat outside with our dog. It was a wonderful experience. So happy we stumbled upon it!

Such a fun experience with our large group! Everybody's pizza came out at the same time and we got to eat it as we were watching Book Club. More movie theaters should be like that!

If you are on the fence about going here, do. The atmosphere is one of kind. The food and the people are top notch. Prices are reasonable and worth it! Thank you for the great experience for my wife and I.

Kinda pricey and an older cinema but when you live on the island is the best you can do with out driving an hour away

Was looking forward to visiting this iconic theater. Pizza was sauce-heavy and the crust undercooked so it was difficult to handle. Staff was pleasant. My step- daughter, a Bar Harbor resident, said it was much better before COVID.

Fun movie theater with very reasonable food prices

Stopped here while in town for a short while and got some pizza to go because we needed something fast and a little later at night. The staff were very kind and funny. The Moonstruck pizza was SO good! I wish we could have experienced more from this spot on our short trip!

I walked in and requested a pizza to-go 15 min before closing. I was assured this was no problem, and my food would be out in 15 min. While waiting in the lobby, I could hear the cooks loudly and repeatedly calling me a “motherfucker”. After the manager walked out of the kitchen, I informed him that I could hear the cooks calling me a “motherfucker”. He suggested that is was salty language and went back into the kitchen to inform the cooks that the patron of the pizza was overhearing everything they were saying. The green haired cook delivered my food and shamelessness wouldn’t make eye contact. Unless this is the level of service you desire, then I suggest getting your food and spending your money elsewhere.

Two screen movies theater. Every seat in threes has a counter/ table so you can eat your pizza (or other selection) while watching your movie. Staff was excellent.

This place really has potential. It's a great concept and I came here many years ago. However, returning with my son was not so great. Pizza was terrible. You wouldn't think someplace could mess up popcorn but that was terrible as well. If we come back we would not be buying any pizza or popcorn. 😕 disappointed

What a treat to watch a movie with the kids and dine on excellent pizza. I had a BBQ chicken toppings that were delicious and the kids found lots they could say 'yes' to. Would definitely go back!

A really lovely Cinema tucked away in the middle of Bar Harbor. Didn't try the pizza, but they have a number of beers and ciders on tap. Popcorn also isn't the usual "incredibly salty" kind you find at most cinemas these days. Worth a visit! The assigned / reserved seating is also an added bonus.

We were excited to try the concept and it was definitely unique. The pizza was average and the lobby gets really crowded. Make sure you order early or you will miss part of the movie going to get your pizza.

A fun rainy day activity with the family while on vacation. However, When I asked where I could find the plates for pizza his response was "in there, the only place they could be". Thankfully someone with a little more customer oriented attitude showed me exactly where they were without hesitation. I went out and talked to him during intermission about what customer service is. His response : "If you publish it, I will read it." Well here you go Mr. David letterman t-shirt, I published it. Please take notes from your co-worker. It's not that hard to treat other people the way you would like to be treated. Way to appreciate your patrons.

One of our family's favorite places. This intimate theater right off the village green in Bar Harbor features a variety of seating options from single vintage flip down seats to sofas all with a table or counter for your food. Choose popcorn or one of their many made-to-order pizzas from the refreshment stand on your way in and enjoy an evening of entertainment without feeling lost in a huge crowd. Once you are notified your food is ready, you only have to step out a few paces to collect your meal. Once you return you'll find a full counter of seasoning and paper goods to meet your needs inside the theater. Reserve your seat on line to be sure you don't miss a great opportunity.

First off, great place to go to the movies. Would definitely return. The one-star review is for what they passed off as pizza. The crust was literally cardboard. I wasn't sure if they made their own crust or not. If they do, their either mixing incorrectly measured ingredients OR the pizza oven isn't hot enough. We ordered a basic pepperoni pizza and for the first time in a long time, Ibused napkins to soak up the grease atop it. I truly would've preferred Digiornos instead. I'll be back for the show but I'm passing on the pizza.

They have good pizza with more than the standard toppings and sauces. You can get their specialties or get creative. The Thai peanut sauce is where it's at! The theater is really neat with couches in the front and more traditional seating in the back. Great sound quality too. I'm so happy they are showing movies again!

We came here during COVID-times when movies weren't playing (bummer, but safe!) Our group had done a lot of hard activity and what we wanted was a chill dinner in our rooms. In a group of four, we had one vegetarian and one person with celiac disease and finding accommodating restaurants was tough some days. Reel Pizza fit that bill effortlessly, though. There were lots of veggie options and any pizza could be made with gluten-free crust. There are so many creative pizzas on the menu that it was actually the hardest part to choose one! We had our pizza in hand very quickly after ordering. Hoping to come back when it's safe to screen movies again!

Probably the best pizza on Bar Harbor. Great everything, from crust to cheese to sauce. The cinema experience provides a quirky Alamo Drafthouse vibe as well which is a nice addition to the great food. Would recommend first to anyone that is looking for a great pie in the area.

The night we ate here was a result of Epi’s and Rosalie’s both having closed in the Afternoon! Do people not want pizza for dinner? We found Reel Pizza literally as we were giving up. Picnic tables were 1/3 full outside, and we waited in a line of 3 families to order. Despite being harried, the owner took orders graciously and as quickly as he could. Prices were quite reasonable for Bar Harbor. $10 and $12 pizzas plus charge for toppings. Sadly, our half green chili and half pepperoni pizza was close to flavorless. The crust had no distinctive flavor, nor did the cheese or sauce. Such a disappointment when we were so in the mood for pizza. To the best of my knowledge, no movies were being shown. Takeaway food only, although you could eat on the premises.

Reel pizza is a local gem and an absolute must for visitors! In regards to COVID safety the takeout they offer is truly delicious. The opportunities for Vegan and Gluten free dining are a highlight!!

One of my favorite places to watch a movie. The pizza is stellar, great choice of beer and real popcorn. Cozy setting, what more could you ask for? Miss inside viewing, but parking lot camp out theater is super fun too!!
