Amazing food and unique menu that you will not find anywhere else. Great service. Drinks options are limited, and draft cocktails can be improved. The ambience is nice, but will fell the place as a bit crowded.

Each plate served was delicious, and hand crafted. Quality over quantity here... I highly recommend. The owner was super helpful and they accommodate for allergies too. A+

First timer here. I didn't know what to expect, so it was pretty much a blank canvas. The service is exemplary. You can tell by the smiles and attitudes that people enjoy working here. Our server was Devan (sorry if I butchered the spelling!). You have GOT to order the Charred Green Beans. Omg. We ordered a second plate...they were that good. I need to mention that this is a small plates concept, but there is still plenty to share. Check out their menu online. Everything we ordered was hot, fresh, and delicious. Will definitely be back!

Small very salty weird so called food. Do your self a favor and eat somewhere else. Your stomach will thank you!!

Words can not express how much I love this restaurant. Everything about this place is top notch. The food is amazing and the menu is always being updated. Every single person that works at this establishment should be proud of what they do. In an area where we are used to chain restaurants, we are lucky to have a restaurant of this caliber. I hope to be eating here in another 50 years from now.

I have to say this establishment had the best house made from scratch food and crafted cocktails. Location is small and intimate. Reservations highly recommended. This was an elevated small plate type experience. We ordered a large number of items for the table and enjoyed everything , sharing all between four people. Gluten free items available too! Some items we creatively dividing for four. LOL A definite return experience and area gem! Reminds me of my other fave restaurant Naked Burger in that all food is scratch prepared in-house offering specialty craft cocktails! The art of cooking with quality products remains alive and well. If you are seeking somewhere to dine that just tastes delicious. This is certainly a treat!

I tried Regale for the first time yesterday. I arrived at my reservation time. 6pm. I was greeting by a smiling face.. that was nice! My table was awkward in the middle of the restaurant. It was hot in there. 90 degrees outside with almost no air circulation (when I come back it will be in the fall).. sever took about ten minutes to greet me.. I was ok with that because my friend was running late.. but I could have ordered a drink. The chips (I didn’t know were part of the package, nice touch but took about 15 minutes after we ordered). We ordered the beans, stuffed peppers and hamburger.. food was very good. The food came all at once and our table was very tiny for all the plates. I think our server was overwhelmed yesterday. She seemed very busy. We both had cash and I probably would have given more than a20% tip but she took a very long time to come back . What was a bit off putting was the reservations state you have 1:45 minutes. I read in the reviews some people were asked to leave when their time was up. That would have been really upsetting if that happened to us knowing everything was taking super long.. overall.. I’ll come back and update my review.

I haven’t been there in a couple years and i now live thousands of miles away but i felt compelled to write a review. To this day i will get cravings for the stuffed peppers. I spent a year in the area and this was the best sit down restaurant i found. The menu is creative and takes inspiration from all over the world. Normally when restaurants do this the menu and food feels scattered and soulless, but the chef here has maintained a common thread and style throughout the menu. It somehow makes sense and the chefs point of view comes through. I don’t drink but i get the impression it is also a place to get good creative drinks. The place is small but well done and the service was always good. I highly recommend this place especially if you are tired of the same old menus.

Devon the bartender was AMAZING! Very attentive and it was her second day here. Sam the manager brought us some champagne to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was perfection.

I couldn't believe the level of dining for where this restaurant is. I always heard great things and boy were they true. Everything was PHENOMENAL. We ordered 6 or 7 plates off the menu. There were so many great options that we NEED to come back to try the rest. We drove an hour for this and it was so worth it. I can ot wait to come back another time. The service was also top notch. Bravo 🤌

Unique dining experience. Food is exciting and interesting because it is things many have not eaten before. The service could be better. Tables are small and unable to hold more than couple of dishes at a time. We were there early when it wasn't busy but still felt rushed.

4/22/24 Monday 8:30pm What a terrible experience! My significant other and I drove from royal oak to try this place and as we were waiting we were finally greeted by the hostess that asked how many then proceeded to walk off to the manager and comes back and tells us we can sit at the bar or in the speakeasy but we can not order food. We asked why and could not get an answer other than we are not serving food but we could clearly see food being served from the kitchen. If showing up at 8:30pm an hour and an half before closing is not ample enough time to serve food to paying customers you should close your doors as you do not have the experience to keep the doors open. Your staff is inexperienced and need training. There is no excuse for the way we were treated as there were multiple empty tables and sorry is a poor attempt at not taking responsibility as clearly your customer service is pathetic.

Had a great time! Food was amazing, the staff was so nice, and the atmosphere was great! They gave us complimentary chips and dip :) We made a reservation for 5:30 on a Tuesday, although we didn't need it. Definitely would come back again, and would be a great time with friends!

I had high hopes because this place had amazing reviews. We tried the mushroom croquettes. The outer crunchy part was way too hard. It was hard to cut through and the taste was alright I guess. We saw so many great reviews of the chicken lollipops. We tried them, and they were two chewy pieces of chicken rolled around in very little sweet sauce and pistachios. The chicken had no flavor and was so chewy, it just tasted like boiled chicken breast. We also had the brie pastry, it was good but it was cold.

Drove about 35 minutes to dine here. Got there at 8:25, was told they were only serving drinks. No other explanation, restaurant closed at 10. Terrible experience. In response to the owners comment. No it was yesterday(Monday), not Saturday. Looks like this happens a lot. Won’t be back.

Food is AWESOME. Chow, yum! The service is okay. I felt like multiple people… no I wasn’t feeling it, multiple people were asking if my guest and myself were done. We were deeply engaged in conversation so no, we weren’t done. Thank goodness they have “dessert”. Wink Wink. 😉 I highly recommend this spot. I kinda feel lucky to live by it.

The food is excellent. I had the lobster and short ribs gnocchi, the lobster was perfect and the rib meat was so tender. The mushroom croquettes were crisp and tasty. The chicken lollipops were good. The sushi tuna tacos were good. The seafood Chowder was really good. Their drinks were delicious and I had the butter tart, very good. A friend had the cheesecake, yum!

This place is amazing! Love the vibe they built and the fact that they are not trying to turn into something else! The food is always amazing and the drinks are even better. Adam will make you an amazing drink every time! The speakeasy is amazing. This place is a gem and worth a visit!!

Love this place! Spent our 13 year anniversary here and had a lovely time! Food was so good and we loved splitting new foods to try. Will be back! Soup is a must try!

My husband was afraid that he had oversold the place to me. I tend to get annoyed when we go to restaurants and pay good money for something that sounds great on the menu, but I could have made it better at home. It always stinks to be disappointed. If you're like me, Regale is a safe bet. Everything we have tried has tasted better than the menu made it sound, and that's saying something. Do yourself a favor and start with the seafood chowder. Where you go from there is up to you, but you'll be happy no matter which direction you choose. Pro tip: get some friends together to spend an enjoyable evening. You'll get to try more plates, and the atmosphere is great for small groups.

Update: Still great! If anything they found a way to improve. Great customer service, the owner and head chef along with Sam are always inviting and do everything to make you feel comfortable and the food and drinks are always fantastic. Amazing food, great service. A great addition to the area. The barrel aged gin sipper was a great drink to start. Right balance on spirits and flavor. The wonton tuna tacos had a great flavor, good crisp wonton with a great avocado and sesame "salsa". The burger was amazingly flavorful, but hands down the favorite was the kimchi fried rice. On top of the great food the server, the hostess and everyone else here was friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back. A great experience all around.

This place is small but very trendy. It's a busy restaurant. The food is fantastic, especially the Asian noodle salad and the fresh potatoe chips they bring to the table. When we want to treat ourselves to a good meal, we go here.

The menu is unique and deliciously creative! Service was wonderful from Adam. Wine was excellent. Ask about they're speak easy lounge. This is a sophisticated and classy environment. Will definitely be back again.

We have been here to eat multiple times and always loved it. Just walked in, bar is empty with reserved signs. I asked if we could have a drink ( they don’t close for 75 minutes). Hostess said our bar is closed. Asked about speak easy area…She said no… “manager said “Not able to seat anyone there”. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. It was bizarre. I felt like pretty women. Such a shame. I had alot of money to spend tonight took it elsewhere!

If you have not tried this place, you are TRULY missing out!!! We have been here multiple times and every single time has been fabulous! The food is outstanding but the service…is unparalleled!!! They really do treat you like family, going above and beyond to make sure your experience is exceptional. We will continue to frequent this beautiful establishment and we’ll continue to introduce our friends to it!

My favorite restaurant in Macomb County! Food is great, kitchen is fast, and prices are great. Service left much to be desired tonight, but the food made up for it. It’s a on the loud side, and kind of cramped, but again, the food more than makes up but it.

Absolutely amazing food. I got the burger and wild mushroom croquettes. The burger was delicious and the croquettes were amazing and didn't even taste like mushrooms! My mom got the salmon rice bowl, which she said was delicious as well. She ate the whole thing, so I'm apt to believe her! Great, friendly service with a warm atmosphere. I would definitely love to come here again.

Many restaurants in the area rely on hype or atmosphere rather than the quality of their food or service. This place has all of the above. Most importantly, the food is great!

We randomly showed up here on a Monday night with no knowledge of the place or thought put into our night out. Literally just drove by it. Very impressed with all of the dishes and drinks. Great service. We will definitely be returning.

It was our first time. The food was spectacular as was the service. I even got a nice surprise for my birthday.

Food was great. Service was not great. Chef/Manager was rude. He was mad because people in our party canceled on us. We couldn’t help that and still had a party of 9. Lots of money spent, but he ignored us the rest of the night. Our food all came out at different times over the course of 2 hours. I ordered first and my dinner was last. No explanation. A burger! Despite the great food, I won’t be back.

I'm giving it high stars because the food was amazing. However, the manager was very rude. I called a couple weeks ahead of time and made a reservation for Friday December 1st for my birthday. The initial reservation was for 10 people, I called back a couple days later to add to the reservation and the manager said, please let us know in advance if you have cancellations because it's not cool if you have a table that you're not going to use. I told him I would do my best because I understood but I couldn't help it if the day of people didn't show up. Fast forward to the day of, as I was parking I had three people cancel. When I got in I notified the hostess that we may not need the second table because I was unsure of how many people were actually going to show up and they said that's fine we can hold it just in case. So myself and one other person sat down at the table and the manager came up and asked us if we were going to need the table and I said probably not and he said " it would have been nice to have a heads up". The other person in my party looked at him and said it would have been nice if her friends gave her advance notice instead of canceling last minute on her birthday. The manager just walked away. I felt that it was very rude and disrespectful when he said it to me on the phone and I was going to let it go and not leave a review but the fact that he came to my table and said it to my face for a second time, warranted a review. It by no means was full that night at any point in the 3 hours that me and my party stayed. I completely understand that they want to maximize the small space with as many people as they can, but it was very very rude to speak that way to me. He could have said it in a completely different way. Needless to say, I will not be returning based on him alone.

One of our most favorite places in Macomb County! The food, the drinks, THE SERVICE! We recommend it to everybody. The owners are sweet, the staff is as well. The menu is rotating and every dish is always on point!

This place is sooooo good. The real deal if you're looking to get good Nova Scotia chowder or a Canadian butter tart. Also delicious the lamb scotch egg and salmon dish. Everything is spiced perfectly, a great size for sharing, fun atmosphere. Will be returning for sure.

Awesome experience here. Food, service and atmosphere is top notch. A lot of GF options. Jerk Chicken and Tenderloin Tataki filled more than just my belly.

Service was flawless. The Chowder, cool beans and Poutine were flawless. The pork shank and jerk chicken were delicious but a little dry and the peppers were a little too salty but otherwise prepared flawlessly. Adam and Erin did an amazing job and kudos to the entire kitchen staff as well.

I enjoyed the food. (Just edited from 4 stars to give 5 stars. Went there for the third time (within a year) the other day and they are consistent and excellent!)

Good place to go to if you like different kinds of food. Many different cultures. Dishes are small so expect to spend a lot if you want to fill up.

I cannot emphasize how much I love this restaurant, the food and the chef/owner, Shawn. We’ve sat in, we’ve ordered carry out… there isn’t a time it is ever less than delicious and creative, wonderful gracious service and an experience. We recently spent our anniversary here and they made it so special I will never forget it. And don’t skip dessert, the butter tart is 🤌🏻🤌🏻

This place was amazing!! From the drinks to the food and finally the atmosphere

I don't know where to start, everything from the atmosphere to the food was simply amazing. I came here with my husband for his birthday and we both enjoyed the Petoskey Sonic (the bartender even made me a mocktail of it since I'm pregnant) which was so refreshing and delicious. Colleen (10/10 server) first brought out some house made chips and dip while we waited for our food. We ordered the Charred Green Beans, the Fire-Charred Nachos, their "Fancy French Tater Tots" (Potato Dauphine) and the chefs weekly mac & cheese which was some sort of Cuban mojo pulled pork. Every little thing exceeded our expectations and we're already ready to go back! This hidden gem is exactly what Macomb County needed and I'm so happy we found it!

One of my favorite restaurants in Macomb County! Shawn, the owner & chef, is a culinary wizard and has a created a menu that will WOW your tastebuds. Not only do you come for the food, but their caring staff treats all guests like family. Shawn and his team are so hardworking and there’s a reason his restaurant is a huge staple. He chatted with me for a while, as we’re both from Canada, and told me about his travel stories that inspired him to open Regale. This is definitely not one of those places where you go with a plan of what ‘type’ of food you will order. You just have to trust the process of trying/sharing a variety of small plates of several cultural flavor profiles… and you will NOT be disappointed. 😍 The green beans and won ton tuna tacos are an absolute must every time for me. The octopus was AMAZING, and for my first time ever trying it? I couldn’t believe the buttery (not rubbery) texture it had! We also tried the burger and chicken fried lobster which were fantastic and flavorful. If you know me, you know I’m ending with dessert, which is one of my favorite parts here. The butter tart is the closest I’ve ever had to a Canadian butter tart. 😍🤤 Definitely feel a piece of ‘home’ in every bite. They recently have done an expansion with a modern, yet rustic feel and it is gorgeous inside!

The food was amazing. We got the tuna tacos and the beef tenderloin. It was amazing. The owner is a chef that cares about his customers and staff. There is a great culture here. The staff seem happy and are very friendly. Also there are plenty of gluten free options on the menu. Definitely coming back!

Foods were so so. They are not traditional. I did not make a reservation but arrived at 5:15pm. Server warning me I have to finish dinner quickly because there are big reservations on 7pm

This is one the best restaurants in the area. It is great for a date night or a small group. You order a bunch of small plates that are delicious and share. The T.O.P.P. garlic bread and jerk chicken were on point tonight. For dessert we had the maple butter tart which was also amazing. Also the cocktails were very well done.

Wow!! I'm so happy I finally got a chance to check this place out. The food was amazing!! We had the wonton tuna tacos to start that were amazing. We followed it up with their take on poutine, which didn't disappoint. My favorite dish of the night was the shawarma seasond lamb chops. These were absolutely to die for and were cooked to perfection. The craft cocktails will not let you down either. If you haven't checked this place out you need to.

Macomb County needs Regale. An unpretentious, TV-less, finer dining, small plate style, foodie and/or date night experience without the drive to Downtown Detroit. My partner and I have dined with Regale 3 times since September, and have tried (all but one) new dishes every time. The menu is diverse, interesting, surprisingly affordable, and rotating, making it easy to always try something new. The food is incredible, complex yet simple, flavorful, and fresh. Chef Shawn is as warm and friendly as he is talented. He is often seen on the floor introducing himself and making sure everyone’s experience is top notch. On Saturday, we had Courtney as our server who took time to answer all of our questions about the menu, and space out our dishes appropriately. We started with the Wild Mushroom Croquettes (our only repeat menu item because that hidden smoked gouda is everything!) as our appetizer, and moved on to the Wonton Tuna Tacos (talk about FRESH and delicate- I could eat a dozen of these on a warm summer day) and the Stuffed Piquilli Peppers (Tip: Order anything that Chef makes with short ribs. You are welcome.). Lastly, we paired the perfectly cooked and flavorful Charred Green Beans with the House-made (and pillowy soft) Gnocchi, which tasted like Fall in a bowl. We highly recommend Regale for the cuisine AND experience. The staff will be happy to guide you, but we have found that 2.5 plates per person to share is the perfect amount! The restaurant is intimate, so make a reservation. Enjoy!

This was our first time here. This is one of the best restaurants anywhere. The customer service is friendly and they make you feel like you're dining with family. The two beverages we enjoyed were the Date Night (with date infused vodka) and the Redemption is Here. They were awesome. The food was other worldly. The portions were perfectly moderate. Not tiny and not huge. After sharing two awesome appetizers, Wonton Tuna Tacos and Mushroom Croquettes, an entree (Home made gnocchi and Baked Ratatouille) and two desserts (Belgian Mousse Cake and Canadian Butter Tart), we left with a huge smile on our faces. Even the dessert was well balanced and not overly sweet. My wife and I are vegetarians and they had a large selection from which to choose. This is the perfect restaurant for date night! Tried this place for our anniversary. While the food is good, it is very rich and heavy. They also try too hard to be different with their menu, for example the chicken fried lobster was good but went too far with bacon in the waffle and ricotta cheese on it. The drinks were very good. It was very warm inside as well.

Hidden gem & Great local place to eat! Definitely a good place for a date night! We met some old friends, sampled many items from the menu including the jerk chicken mac n cheese special! We will definitely be dining in again and brining more friends to share this hidden gm with!

Was our first time at Regale today. We wanted to check it out due to all of the great reviews. Even though they were busy and we didn't have reservations they still squeezed us in. The people were extremely friendly and inviting. Many custom unique craft cocktails were on special and the wife enjoyed hers. We ordered the Chicken Fried Lobster, Tuna Tacos and the Jumbo Crab Cake. All three were brought out very quickly and were very delicious. Really enjoyed this place and we are happy it's close. We will be return customers for sure.
