I have been to the Rice Bowl a lot. It NEVER disappoints! I've done dine in and takeout and delivery. All great service. The owners are amazing kind people. The staff is great. The food is FANTASTIC! I highly recommend the Rice Bowl!!!

EDIT: I called the restaurant back as requested in their response and I was not offered a refund, but a $20 gift card. I was told that this is a family business and I should take my review down. I was also told that maybe I didn't like the food because of my mood when I was eating the food and my personal feelings that day. I was also told that I upset the owner because of my review and that they don't want ME to hurt their business. I wanted a refund, not a gift card to a restaurant I'm not willing to eat at again. Unprofessional response. ORIGINAL POST: The food was mostly awful. Overcooked slop like fried rice, Bourbon Chicken was very dry chicken squares floating in a full bowl sauce, and I mean to the rim, seeping into the rice, making it like a thick soup like consistency. I ended up draining it and giving it go the dog. Steamed Pot Stickers were good, dipping sauce also good. Egg rolls outside was crunchy, but raw dough on the inside and the filling had some kind of meat or chicken or liver ground like sand, tasted like organs. No one wanted them. The General Tso was ok, steamed white rice ok. The Crab Rangoon was HORRIBLE. it had thick yellow slimy sauce dumped over the fried Rangoon, absolutely gross. Why would they do that, I don't know but it was disgusting and unexpected. Kids Chicken Lo Mein was abismal at best, tasteless and overcooked noodles. We won't be ordering anymore. $60 of garbage food. Waste of money. When will Bradenton ever get a good Chinese Food place?

The staff here is top notch. They serve real portions, rather than skimping on size - good deal for the money. Good Chinese food is tough to find, and so is great service but Rice Bowl is a great place to grab a bite.

This restaurant lacks in the atmosphere department but it overachieves with the food. We had sushi, rice and crab Rangoon with a multiple of their sauces, every dish we tried was a home run. Will absolutely be returning, best fried rice I’ve had in Sarasota/Bradenton, very well deserved 5 stars. Service was above expectations, plenty of parking.

Our go to fusion spot in SRQ. Great sushi always fresh and full of flavor. They also make a great general’s chicken bowl which we get with noodles. Try the chicken and broccoli with extra garlic sauce, not on the menu but they would gladly make it for you. 😎

I got the House special Lo Mein To-go, The Noodles had No lo mein sauce, the meats were laying on top not mixed in, while a good amount of Chicken and beef, only 2 shrimps were included, the Noodles w8th n9 sauce were Dry, at home I had to pull out a bottle of Teriyaki sauce, and no sauce, but too sweet ducksauce, was included. For the price, it was a Paultry example of Lo Mein. I will refuse to go there again for those prices when the Simplest menu iteare done so poorly. The Street vendors in Taipei and Hong Kong make it better The 2 Stars is because it was a Clean location

I ordered a roll that said 2x1. What they did was cutting the pieces so thin that it was impossible to eat a whole piece without doing a mess. Please don’t offer 2x1 if you will ruin the product!

everytime me and family come here for takeout our food is always messed up. its ridiculous at this point. every single time. side of fried rice should come with how it is u less time otherwise. i dont understand how hard it is to comprehend what a side of fried is supposed to look like. literally you guys have me brown rice w egg like thats not what i ordered.

Not only was the food authentic and delicious but the staff was extremely attentive. We had Sylvia has our server, she was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. They also had a nice kids selection which I appreciate when dining with my young children . We very much enjoyed our meal and will be returning soon.

Love everything I’ve tried here! My favorites are the Hot & Sour soup, Szechuan Chicken, Boston Roll, and Teriyaki Grilled Chicken Bowl. Try it all, it’s all good 👍🏼

I’d leave zero stars just because I ordered a vegetable fried rice and was given less vegetables than someone who ordered a chicken entree…$13 for 3 pieces of vegetables and a bowl of rice…What a scam! Highly disappointed from that dish alone… then after tying the krab ragoons which tasted like mayo… I wish I would’ve chose to eat at a small Chinese restaurant and got some food with flavor for a fraction of the cost 😪

We had a great experience with take out at this Asian place. We placed the order and it was ready within 15-20 minutes. Pick up was a breeze. The food itself was excellent. We ordered crab rangoons, chicken fried rice, spicy crab roll and crunch shrimp roll. The fried rice was good, and the rolls were generously wrapped with shrimp and crab. They were nice size sushi rolls. The crab Rangoon was probably our least favorite. It didn’t include dipping sauce and then we realized they had drizzled some sauce on it already. Overall though, we enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back.

Oh my goodness the heavenly food 😋🤤❤️. We got 2 egg rolls, 2 grilled chicken rice bowls and 1 beef rice bowl all with broccoli, carrots, and corn, salad, and sweet tea. The broccoli and carrots are too hard and crunchy, they need to be cooked longer. We managed with just the top part of the broccoli. Their teriyaki sauce is very sweet, thin, and delicious 😋🤤❤️. The 3 of us killed the full teriyaki sauce bottle he brought 😂. Server very helpful to new customers explaining the menu. Soooo muuuuch fooood!!!! There's enough food for 3 meals for the price of $13 - $16 per person (price varies on what you order). Egg roll has some spice to it, putting teriyaki sauce on it helps. Overall review: Rice Bowl is way better than Panda Express.

Kung pao chicken and general tso's chicken we're both very good. Portion sizes excellent for the money. Staffing and service is friendly and fast. Best asian food restaurant in the area.

We have lived in the area for 10 years and never found an Asian restaurant we liked but now we have. Lunch on Valentine's Day was such a joy with a good friend and a new restaurant for us to try. The service was amazing and always available. We have the chicken eggroll first and YUMMY is the best word. Pork lo mien and kung pao chicken rice bowl made up the entrees and both took doggy bags that were filled ....tons of food that was super tasty. We will return and probably sooner than we should. I asked about ordering a kid's meal and was told that an adult was allowed to do that so next time....Eggroll and kid's meal for me. Give them a try!

All the dishes here are great. From the soups, spring rolls, rice bowls and noodle bowls, each is flavorful. I have been to Rice Bowl over a dozen times and will be coming back a dozen more.

It was OK. Nothing to write home about. My boyfriend got sushi and he was expecting it to be better. My rice bowl was OK, I got it with lo mein noodles which were definitely not lo mein noodles, they were more like spaghetti noodles. Our appetizers were the best part of the meal and I had to ask twice for my Sprite. Service was OK, attentive yet forgetful. I would try other Asian places before coming back.

The service and food was great. Great options and plenty of food per item. Will go back again. This is just an update the service is still good and the food is still great. My personal favorites are hot and sour soup one chicken egg roll and bourbon style chicken rice bowl extra spicy. The spices up to you though.

My fiancé and I tried Rice Bowl for the first time and the service was amazing. Our waitress checked on us throughout the dinner and even boxed our food to go! The menu is awesome because it has so much variety. The sushi was very fresh and our bowls came out super hot! The portion sizes are awesome for the price. We will definitely come back and try more.

I've been a frequent guest here for many years and by far it's the best Chinese/Japanese food I've had. Service is always good, staff are friendly and the food always delicious!

Very tasty Chinese noodles soup with a lot of veggies

It had been years since we had Rice Bowl and my wife and I were excited to try it again, only to be left disappointed. Service was subpar on this occasion, with our server being short with us and unable or unwilling to answer any questions we had about the menu and substitutions/additions. Very hard to enjoy a visit when we are treated like we’re not welcomed. No big deal I guess, could be one of those days for our server. Figured the food being as good as we remember would help, but once again we were let down. Gyoza was good, edamame was dry and overcooked. My wife enjoyed her sushi roll but we’ve had much better, my rice bowl was underwhelming. The white rice tasted sweet, which is not something to expect from white rice in my experience. Chicken and Shrimp were cooked well and tasted right. Corn and broccoli left more to be desired. Overall, not a great experience with service and food. There are many more Asian cuisine places that I will happily choose over this establishment in the future.

Flavor was good but the batter on the chicken was soggy and fell of the meat it didn't used to do that. What's changed????

Food is extremely bland. Very under seasoned. My lo mei was like eating plain noodles without any sauce. Staff was excellent. The worst part of dining at this establishment was the roach crawling across the wall. Would not recommend.

Ordered shrimp tempura and got a shrimp stick! Batter was horrible. Not even flaky. Coul have gotten better from a buffet!

Great experience here at the Rice Bowl. First the service was excellent! Friendly and fast. It was perfect for the experience. The meals were great! Very delicious, hot, and huge portions. The Mrs had the shrimp and rice, I had the Szechuan chicken and noodles. We both ended up taking a box home. Certainly recommend you stop here. You will not be disappointed.

First time here.. Randomly picked driving by. Monday Sept 18th 5pm (rather empty, but early Monday) Ordered: Kani salad Sushi- Tuna, white tuna, yellow tail 6pcs Pink dragon roll Kani salad arrived UNUSUALLY fast. It was warm and VERY dry. Asked for side of spicy mayo. Helped a little but anyone that loves kani salad knows how horrible they can taste when they aren't properly chilled!! 😭 Sushi was also warm making it unpleasant. Pink dragon roll The tempura shrimp inside the roll tasted like it was fried 2x but refrigerated in between. It was INSANELY chewy. The batter also looked different. The ends with the shrimp tail, you could see allot of oil soaked into the batter. When I picked it up, sure enough it was oil logged. So the pink dragon roll was INEDIBLE! The waitress was SUPER AMAZING and very apologetic. I felt bad complaining because I could even see her eyes tearing up. As a chef in this industry myself, I know how she feels.... she took off the roll from the bill. 🙏 That I expected... So far so good. She then said she was gonna take off the kani salad and sushi but I insisted I was okay paying for them but when I got the bill, she removed them too 🥹❤️ She didn't have to do all that! So I made sure to leave a $25.00 tip on my $6.59 bill. ❤️ She continued apologizing and saying how she didn't want me to say anything that would "hurt her business" like THIS REVIEW! 😥 ..... SO why am I posting this review when I told her I wouldn't? After all of the apologizing she then said that: "MAYBE THE REASON I DIDN'T LIKE THE FOOD WAS BECAUSE OF MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE!!!" 😱 I took personal offense to this because I wasn't the only person eating the food that disliked it so that would be an odd coincidence for both of us to not like everything. I tried telling her I would definitely come back and try this place again but she kept apologizing so much I could barely speak or explain anything verbally to her. Side observation The sushi chef seemed VERY bored as he was leaning against the wall on his phone(directly in front of where I was sitting). He would get an order: (my order for kani salad)....he threw it together SUPER FAST then went back to leaning against the wall on his phone. After I got the reduced bill, another gentleman that apparently worked there, went behind the sushi bar and began having a rather LOUD conversation back and forth with the sushi chef. This place has a great rating so I have a feeling tonight's service was just a bad night. VERY BAD. Hopefully when we go back we can try some of the 4.7⭐ food cuz that's what we were hoping for today. Cheers

I’ve come to rice bowl for well over 5 years now. It’s a family owned restaurant that’s worth every penny you spend here. Find your favorite sushi and order it every time, the quality never changes. Make this your go-to when you’re craving Asian food. Invite friends, families, it is by far the best Asian food you can get in Bradenton. Friendly staff, yummy food and always our go-to.

I have been coming here for over 10 years now. Family owned and operated and they are always so kind and happy to help. I get the tuna roll and crunch shrimp roll, along w the hot sour soup. They have a lot of great entree dishes too if you don’t like sushi! My favorite asian place in Bradenton/Sarasota hands down.

Amazing service! While super busy and waiting on a pickup order, they offered all those waiting waters or a drink to go. You don't see many places who have that business ethic!

The wonton soup was so bland and the wonton were pure mush. The Kung pow chix was bland with no spice. Really disappointing and very expensive

Good food, best crab ragoon in town

I gave this restaurant two stars I would have given five stars like I always do when the food is delicious but this time only gave two because the service sucked when my son and I walked back in the restaurant one of the guys I don’t know if he’s the owner or if he’s just a manager he gave us a really negative look just because we ask for extra soy sauce packets, the food is delicious but the service sucks sometimes it’s not always best to go somewhere where you’re not really wanted and where you spend good money I’m just saying.🤷🏽‍♀️🙄

Coming from CA, we are not so used to seeing combined Asian dishes restaurants. We actually have not gone to one until we moved in the SRQ area, FL. We tried this place among the few and it’s actually very good. Half of the family ordered Japanese dish and half Chinese. Everyone loved there dish and the service was also great.

Everything we have ordered has been great, we’re repeat costumers! & The Egg rolls are amazing! Here are a couple pictures of the Volcano Roll and Rock N Roll. Beef fried rice and the Beer rice noodles.

If you're looking for consistency, quality and quantity, this is the GO TO place for that. Everything I have had has been delicious from the sesame chicken to chicken and broccoli, the avocado and sweet potato rolls, spring rolls and egg rolls, crab rangoons, tempura apps...you name it. Everything exceeds expectations every single time. Just when I think this place cat get any better, I venture outside of my comfort zone as a picky eater and am always pleasantly surprised. This place deserves 10 stars! The quality and freshness of each meal they prepare is outstanding. Thank you for keeping my stomach happy! :)

Friendly staff. The decor is rather plain. The fried rice was pretty good but as other reviewers mention there is no seasoning. The lack of seasoning was true to every dish. The vegetables, aside from the corn which I think is canned, were fresh! With just a little bit of salt on their food the dishes would be fantastic! Usually I would give a restaurant like this 3 stars. I gave them 4 stars because the fried rice was really great - not oily or heavy (although it needed salt) and they use fresh veg (which should be commonplace in a restaurant but sadly isn't).

Had Mongolian beef and sushi. Place crushed both on a delivery order. Do recommend!
