It is take out only but the worst Thai food I ever had. My Pad Thai tasted like Ramen noodles, it was ok but way too oily. And how they added the hot spice was awful, just dumped on top.

Best Thai food in the US. Spring rolls are an absolute must. A MQT legend.

I had the thai green curry with tofu. The flavors for the curry were pretty decent, but not outstanding. Here's a warning for all the vegans, vegetarians, and tofu lovers though; the tofu is served raw! I have never had raw tofu in a dish at any Thai restaurant anywhere else in the state, so this was quite a surprise. On the plus side, the prices are amazing and the staff are very kind.

We dropped in based on other reviews and it was great. The wontons were perfect especially with the sauce they gave. We all had pad Thai and that was good also. Service was fast and very nice people. They are cash only so make sure you have some before you go.

Very fast service and amazing food at a great price. Both the cheapest and most delicious and satisfying Pad Thai I have ever had by far. The only caviat is cash only, so if you weren't prepared you'll need to deal with ATM fees. But that being said running a cash business in today's world is completely understandable.

I ordered pat see-you (fried noodles with soy sauce, broccoli and beef) and it was awful. Having lived in Thailand five years and having had this dish at several other Thai restaurants I can tell you this terrible. Just soupy white noodles and strangely sweet. Maybe some dishes are ok here but I won’t be back.

The food was bad.. this isn’t even thai food! — maybe the ppl living here have no idea abt thai food. That said, the ppl were nice.

We had been to this place on our recent trip, our experience here has been beyond expectations, ITS A MUST GO PLACE!!! It's a family run business, the owner is really amazing person, you must try their green curry, we also liked their other curries too. They have literally gave us one of the authentic Thai flavors, it's the only Thai restaurant we liked, since then we didn't eat at any other place. Please remember to carry cash as they only accept cash. Eager to visit them again :)

I ordered Pat See-Eiw with beef, one of my favorite Thai noodle dishes, and it was just awful. Nothing at all like the real thing.

Not sure how this has such high reviews. The pad Thai is as unauthentic as it gets. No tamarind, no fish sauce, no bean sprouts, no egg, NO PEANUTS. Tasted like all sugar with some spice to cover it up. The meatball dish was just over cooked beef in sugar sauce. If you’ve ever had real Thai food before do not go here!

This was my first time eating here since the change of ownership. My walk in order only took about 5 minutes. The tofu soup was so delicious and comforting, I'll definitely be ordering it the next time I'm sick. The egg rolls are HUGE and so good. I was happy to see that the new owner is as welcoming and kind as Aoy. The Rice Paddy is still a great Marquette staple.

The chicken pad thai was amazing. 1/2 order available and was plenty. Beware egg rolls are huge. My husband got the curry- which he said was great too!!!

Really nice people that took the time to explain the menu, but there's no dine in, credit card, or bathrooms. I'm sure the food is good, but I don't know how to pay or where to eat after being on the road for 3 hours and just passing through. Thanks though.

Food was bland and low quality. Ordered food for the whole family. Nothing looked or tasted like we expected. Noodle dishes had half noodles and half rice to save money and sauce was limited to non-existant.

My husband and I ordered dinner tonight and it was all fantastic! Almond chicken, orange chicken, and egg rolls were top notch. Marquette has a lot of bar food—make sure to show our other local food options, like Rice Paddy, some love!!

All good things must come to an end 😩 this restaurant apparently changed ownership😮‍💨 with the change in ownership came the change in amazing food 😵‍💫 no more water chestnuts in the wontons mediocre pad Thai and noodles that taste like they've been cut from a tire🛞 this "was" One of our favorite places to eat when we lived here a couple of years ago but not so much anymore 😩 if you're accustomed to the original owner the f yeah we open lady You're going to be disappointed 😞

Wonderful people, terrible food. If you've ever had Thai food anywhere else before, you'll be disappointed. The pad thai is overly sweet, showered with raw cabbage, missing most ingredients you'd expect (no eggs, green onions, of bean sprouts), and served with rice (???). I'm honestly baffled how this place has such positive reviews.

Would love to give an honest review, as I haven't had it in years...but we have now tried 4 separate times to eat here during regular listed business hours and found the place closed. A long cry from "f- yeah, we open"...

I've been eating at the Rice Paddy for 20 years up until I moved away. Tonight was my first time eating there since Aoy sold it. I read about the disappointments others felt and was apprehensive about giving it a try. I love Aoy, she catered my wedding forever ago. I was afraid my nostalgia would get in the way or that the food wouldn't be as good as it used to be. My fears were entirely unfounded. I absolutely loved my dinner. I got Pork Pad See Eew, a shrimp egg roll and a bowl of hot and sour soup. The Pad See Eew isn't like any other Pad See Eew out there and it never has been. I ordered it perfectly in the middle of the spiciness levels and it was perfect. I loved every bite. The egg roll was huge, fat, packed, greasy, hand rolled and just awesome. It was one of the best egg rolls I've ever had. The Hot and Sour Soup. It was one of the best tasting things I've ever eaten. Aoy's Hot and Sour Soup was my favorite food for years. Now this is. It's so awesomely good. It's really spicy, tangy, packed full of cabbage and tofu. It was as good as it gets. Nang's isn't Aoy's. It's Nang's and it's really, really good. I wish I still lived here. I'd eat this every week.

The quality and quantity have dropped dramatically! It used to be the go to for wonderful food at a reasonable price. Not the case any longer. I've been going there for 20+ years...not any more. So sad.

It breaks my heart, but no. I will not come back here and I will not eat this food again. The gentleman that took the order could not have been more friendly and, honestly, he is the two stars. He's the reason that I can say some good things, because his attitude and customer service is clearly 110%. And the food tasted good. Of course it did. Because it was so. darn. greasy. Heavily weighted. My stomach woke me in the middle of the night and made it clear that it was not happy. My husband was in the same camp, which let me know that it wasn't just me (we ordered different things). I'm not going to rail on the authenticity, mostly because one person's experience is different from anyone else's. Anyone who does not understand needs to take a moment to really think through their assumptions.

Drove all the way from green bay to see that they are no longer open on weekends extremely disappointed

Visitor passing thru - picked up 4 dishes last night and 3 of the 4 were awesome (egg rolls were mediocre). Very friendly & switched on owner (?); good quality food; good size portions. If they were in my town it’d be my “go to place”.

I have been back a few times since new ownership. Food is still good, just not the same. The cream cheese wontons were hardly filled, a few were just the fried dough. I'm going to try a third time, but if it misses no more Rice Paddy for me.

Amazing little gem. Doesn't look like much but the food is super good and fresh. the service is a wife and husband who are both really nice. I'm always happy to support this place.

Excellent chicken Pad Thai and wontons! Stopped for lunch on a bike ride and it was delicious! Good prices too! Gentleman at the counter was friendly!

I've been here many times and every time I've enjoyed the experience thoroughly. The people are really nice, the prices are fantastic, and above all, the food is excellent. I can't recommend enough the moo goo gai pan and the pad Thai are my favs.

Turned away half hour before closing time. Totally bummed. Wanted to try it. Fella sort of acted as if we were an inconvenience for coming in half hour before closing time.

Carry out only in spite of what Google says about Dine In being available. Too hot outside so we passed.

Super friendly owners, took the time to help us choose. Each dish was very flavorful and you can ask for more spice. Even the presentation looked nice on every dish. They are takeout only, parking is in the back.

Good place to have Thai food, staff is friendly and welcoming! Make sure you call in early and pre order as the wait times are usually long depending on time/day (25 to 40 minutes). Also, they're Cash only place. Open on weekdays only! We ordered Orang Chicken but the gravy/sauce was really sweet.

I just tried the rice paddy chicken eggrolls today and they were the best eggrolls I’ve ever had. I also ordered chicken pad Thai and the chicken fried rice which were both excellent. But next time I will get at least three eggrolls they were fresh and crispy the chicken was fantastic. Kudos to the cook.

This place is definitely a bang for your buck! Hands down best Thai food me and my husband has ever had and we’ve had a ton of Thai food even this place beats any Thai food we had in Texas! Very genuine family owned and operated business that definitely deserves more than 5stars! Outstanding service, quick and knows how to make a PROPER PAD THAI! definitely will be coming here more often and gave my whole family a bite when we got home and they will soon be there too! Just a fantastic experience not just with service but my belly too!

What an amazing place! Easily the best Thai Restaurant I have ever been to . I had the Special Thai Green Curry and Cream Cheese wantons. I must also say the prices are very reasonable.

Price is right. Food is great. Different bit amazing in that difference.

Literally the best pud thai, cream cheese won tons and egg rolls in the UP. Service was absolutely phenomenal, they went above and beyond to make our stop in on our way through town memorable. Highly recommend stopping by and checking them out.

I like to consider myself a foodie and this place is #1 by far in my Marquette and surrounding areas list!!! Absolutely delicious, service was 2nd to non and very very fair priced!! Must have in Michigan!!

I think the quality of food here depends on one’s expectation. If you are looking for tasty food, it is not bad. But if you are looking for authentic Thai or Asian food, you may be disappointed. I grew up in Asia and have travelled a bit to Asian countries and believe my expectations for authentic Asian foods are realistic. This said, it is impressive to have only one person cooking for all orders. Definitely plan ahead and call in for pickups.

This place is a National Treasure. Food is always delicious and in large portions for the price. Best orange chicken in the US.
