Food taste good just don’t think I got mine fresh literally placed my order within 5 minutes my food was done like it was already cooked before hand then didn’t even give me any chicken compared to these pictures on here other than that it’s ok I wouldn’t be quick to tell others about this place to be honest

I've been coming here since they first opened about 17 years ago. They are my favorite restaurant on Plainfield and some of the best American-Chinese food in all of Grand Rapids. Super kind staff (family run) and amazing prices, along with incredibly flavorful food with great portion sizes. I've never had a bad meal there!

I didn't know I liked Chinese food until I tried Rice Wok. This is now my neighborhood go to for a quick healthy affordable delicious meal regularly ready for pickup in 10 minutes 😋

You can’t find better Chinese food in Grand Rapids! I’m vegan, my partner is not. Rice Wok takes care of us both! The food is always YUMMY! I usually get the Szechuan Bean Curd (tofu) and vegetables. Today, I ordered Szechuan broccoli and carrot, no tofu, just for a change. I always get extra spicy-hot. If you’re vegan (or not) I highly recommend Rice Wok!!

Used to have good service and good food. Last three times bought dinner/lunch for my husband and I, the food was extremely greasy, and incorrect. Called to inform them, she was rude didn’t offer any credit, remake or any resolution. Do not waste your money.

We decided to eat there so our food would be fresh and hot but we had to send it back to be reheated...still luke warm. Not exactly a place to eat-in at. Our Entrees were VERY tasty though! Crab Rangoon and Eggroll seemed Under-Fried as well ... GREAT Egg Drop soup! Now THIS is beyond their control....My fortune cookie didn't have a fortune in it 🤣 that was a 1st for me!!

This is a wonderful Chinese restaurant. I have been there 20+ times. Their food is always higher quality than their peers. I've never been disappointed. Highly recommend

Rice Wok is my favorite spot for Chinese take-out in Grand Rapids. Their food is great for the price, especially their lunch specials - definitely worth it! Portions have gotten smaller over the years, but it's still plenty of food per person and always tastes great! The family that works there is always nice and I'm happy to support a small spot like them. My favorites are the roast pork egg foo young and the chicken with string bean. Really can't go wrong with anything you order!

This is a good Chinese takeout place. We wanted a quick, well-priced place with good ratings, and Rice Wok delivered on that. The highlight item we ordered was the Lo mein, but the dumplings (more like pot-stickers) were tasty as well. The fried rice was mediocre, and the egg roll wasn’t crispy, but overall, the flavor of the food was pretty good.

It was just ok. It was a great value for the money and we had plenty of leftovers. We purchase the dinner for 2. The dishes we chose were the egg foo young. Which was really greasy. We also had chicken and green beans. The flavor was good, but the chicken was a bit chewy. We also purchased egg drop soup which was ok. It came with crunchy noodles for the top which was a nice touch. We might give it another try, but will order different dishes.

Rice wok is my family’s favorite Chinese restaurant. We go at least once a week. Egg drop soup with crunchy noodles is the best. Crab Rangoons are so yummy. Customer service is always the best too. This restaurant has won our service and we will continue coming there for dinner.

Amazing as always! We moved a half hour north anwe go to Rice Wok as often as we can. I've/ we've had tons of different Chinese takeout and RW is by far the best! The staff are awesome! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Wow! I just finished eating and immediately knew I had to leave a review. I’ve lived in Grand Rapids for over six years now and I’d given up on ordering Chinese food; everywhere I went seemed to disappoint me. I ordered from Rice Wok today on a whim because I was starving after work and happened to be in the Plainfield area, which I typically am not. I ordered the orange chicken dinner combo, vegetable lo mein, crab rangoon, and edamame (yes, all for me, please don’t judge). Literally every single item impressed me, even down to the sweet and sour sauce that came with the crab rangoon, which I usually despise and refuse to eat. The portion sizes and prices were great, cheaper than several places I’ve been to for MUCH better food. It was also ready very fast, even quicker than they quoted on the phone. I’m going to be coming here for Chinese takeout every single time I have a craving! Highly, highly recommend :)

This restaurant has my favorite sesame chicken ever, and the fried rice is the best, because it barely has any peas (which is how I prefer mine). The staff is always friendly and super fast too.

Don't waste your time going anywhere else for Chinese food. I've been ordering from Rice Wok for over a decade and literally have NEVER had a bad experience. The owners are friendly and the food is always of the highest quality. The vegetables are always perfectly cooked, and the food is always nice and hot. Flavor-wise, the Szechuan is the best I've had anywhere. No competition. Any time I am out of town and have to order from another Chinese restaurant, I'm disappointed because it's never as good as Rice Wok. They're always super fast too! And I almost forgot to mention, the portion sizes are generous for the cost so you always feel like you're getting your money's worth. I'm passionate about good food, and it's honestly hard to put in words how much I Iove Rice Wok. If you're in Grand Rapids, and hungry for Chinese food, this is the only place to go. ❤️

Fried rice doesn't taste like regular fried rice... flavor of general Tao sauce was good. Portion was relatively small. Not a bad quick meal. Just doesn't have the same quality as you find on the west coast or the North East

We eat here 1-2 times a month, it's our favorite. We love the crab cheese, egg rolls, sweet and sour, cashew chicken, kung poa chicken, sesame chicken, orange chicken, and vegetable fried rice. I can not recommend this resturant enough.

Orange chicken says spicy but it's was sweet. However it still tasted amazing. I would eat there again.

The food was great and it was prepared quickly with a very short wait time. The only issue I had was finding the entrance but that's because I'm not from the area. It's off of Plainfield in the plaza by the speedway for future patrons LOL

The best Chinese food on the North East side! You won't be disappointed! I can't do heavy salt, (msg etc) and they don't use it. I'm wheat and dairy sensitive therefore this place is on my fav list. Really clean and tidy.

I love this place. The food is consistent, the dinner combo prices are really good, and of course the food is great as well. They were a bit rushed the last time I was there and the girl taking orders and cashing people out seemed confused and frazzled, but it was a busy night, so I understand. Other than that, we have always had very quick,and friendly service there, and have literally never had a problem with an order.

I was somewhat fooled by the rave reviews. It was fine, but both of the dishes we received had lukewarm to cold fried rice. How can it be cold unless it's cooked well ahead of time and added to your order? Also, despite having seating the place isn't really suited for dining in. We sat down and waited several minutes before they looked at us quizzically. When I asked for a server the woman standing by the counter shook her head and said, "no, you need to order here." So we did. Now, all that said, their egg rolls and crab rangoons were on point, especially the latter. I don't know if they are each hand made, but they looked like it and tasted better than most others I've had. It's ok, not great, and I certainly wouldn't make a special trip to go there again.
