My son loves music and looks forward to his lesson every week with Mike. This years summer Rock Band Concert was fantastic experience greatly enjoyed by all. We are excited to do it again next year for sure!!

Great selection inside for products and instruments. Always has what my boyfriend needs for strings and accessories. The man at the counter is so helpful and kind. My boyfriend was talking to him about how he has MS and difficulty holding the guitar pick sometimes and he gave him a cool new pick to try using! Very appreciated 🥺 🥰

Lessons at Rick's are great! I have two kids who take lessons with Mike (one in ukulele, one on guitar), and I've been impressed with how much they've learned since we started lessons.

My son, who is 6, started working with Alec and it has been a great experience. We tried another music lessons location with little help, direction, and a very unpleased teacher. Switching to Rick’s was great- we got all of our questions answered, direction on what to buy, and Alec is a great teacher! Very patient and goes with the flow of what will keep his student’s attention. We would recommend anyone who is looking for music lessons to try Rick’s out before going anywhere.

This is my favorite place in the world. My teachers always encouraged me to work hard at my studies, making me the person that I am today. If I could write out all the things this store has brought me, I’d need a lot of pages. Now I teach here and it’s been an incredible full-circle blessing. Money is very tight for me right now, but I really really want to get into learning guitar. I stopped in today after my second guitar lesson to explore my price options on an acoustic guitar. Mike was absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough good things about him. He did not pressure me into buying anything on the spot, but instead, went above and beyond to educate me on what I should be looking for. This place will 100% have my business, and I can’t wait to purchase a guitar from them within the next week or two. The prices seemed extremely fair for very good quality guitars. Well worth the drive from Bridgewater.

I’ve been coming there for sometime now I love all the staff and Dave McCarron is an amazing guitar teacher I’ve learned the most from him than I did with previous teacher but every teacher had their own style of teaching ..all the staff are great! I couldn’t be happier and would never look to go anywhere else!

Fantastic School very comfortable letting my eight year old grandson go for his 30-minute lesson which is perfect, not over taxing (he's only eight) they offer everything here for young and old. I treated myself to a new ukulele for my birthday

Cheap selection of guitars, looked more like a yard sale than a guitar shop. cheap selection of amps. Oh and they were rude to me. I just had some questions about a guitar and the owner wasn’t having it. If you want a 200 dollar guitar that’s marked 400 then this is your place. The prices are not even close to fair market value. Cocky, arrogant. I know I don’t look like a guy with a lot of money, but boy are looks deceiving. And I truly believe that was the case when I went in. They looked down on me and blew a great opportunity.

Ricks is the best local music store by far. I have purchased multiple guitars from them. They always have a tech available to service my instruments. I highly recommend them for their knowledgable service and inventory!

First of all I have no musical skills at all! I have donated a saxophone, had my husband's flute serviced and just dropped off my 1894 zither. The staff are awesome!!

I walked in today to look for a guitar and the wonderful staff came right up to me and assisted me with what I need and where to find it. Very helpful, the transaction was quick and painless, and as a cherry on top, they even let me play the instrument before deciding to buy it or not. Long story short, best music place you could purchase from, and it's better than most competition.

I SAVED MONEY at Rick's than shopping on Amazon. My kid sent me the list of items he wanted for Christmas via Amazon links. I wanted to shop local so I sent Bob at Rick's my list and he got the items (in one case a better quality replacement) and it was cheaper than the Amazon total!! Great local business and a real gem for the community.

Stopped by Rick’s Music World on our way to the Cape based on the great reviews. So glad we did. Picked up a beautiful guitar for my husband as an anniversary gift. We loved working with Bob. He was very knowledgeable and helpful!

This music store is more like an academy for our youth. From various instrumental and vocal teachings in person and now online, they set the bar high. Sadly, these days our schools aren't finding music departments well at all but Rick's music combats that with their high class approach to molding the minds of our future musicians. They don't just teach the instrument, they praise the performance which in most cases is equally as important. They host performance nights for the kids and adult performers which really brings the experience to life. Music education is so important in the development of math and even English skills. It can help improve your child's grades and will ultimately inspire them to use that coconut for something more beneficial than a video game victory. Don't forget their staff is knowledgeable and their pricing for instruments and accessories make you never want to step foot into another guitar center again which is known as the Walmart of music stores. Rick’s is just a great music store with a fantastic community spirit. I found Rick’s about 2 months ago when shopping for a new guitar. The staff there could not have been more welcoming and helpful. I purchased the guitar, however through no fault of Rick’s, there were some problems with the guitar that required it to be returned. Through that process they could not have been more helpful or professional - they wanted the purchase to work for me and wanted me to be completely happy with my purchase. I am!!! The guitar is great and I am now a devoted customer. I have also started singing/guitar lessons and have attended two Open Mic nights. If you want a fun time listening to local talent come down to an Open Mic night - a great time!!!

This is the BEST venue for all forms of live music from amateur , dinner theatre of all ages. They have the best instructors who will help you learn for fun or get you up on the stage. Supportive family atmosphere rarely seen at most music stores which makes it feels like home. THANKS RICKS for making memories for all ages.

This is a great place. I’ve owned my guitars for ten years+ and had them set up with Rick’s and they look so good even a couple years after the fact now, polished up like the day I bought em and played better then I’ve ever heard them! If it wasn’t for scratches I had put there myself over the years I wouldn’t have recognized them as mine; the wood was completely rejuvenated. Also I’ve ordered a Boss Pedal through them and delivery was speedy and I felt secure knowing my products were shipped to a reputable and safe place of business. And When I priced shopped I noticed I had gotten a great deal and would have paid same buying direct, gentlemen who left negative review about order couldn’t be more wrong! It’s located right by our current practice space in Taunton and I can’t say enough good things about them. What they do for the young students is amazing and great staff.

I can't say enough good things about this place, it's done so much for me. A few years ago I finally manage to improve some lifelong health issues. I stopped by the store to buy some guitar strings and noticed the open mic going on in the background. It had been over a decade since I performed life music so I came back weeks later to give that a shot. It's now 3 years later and I kept coming back every week. I lost contact with most of my friends during my sickest years so I was basically starting from 0 when I started to improve. Within just a few months, I had a larger social circle than ever before thanks to the Rick's community. On my birthday in 2016, the owners surprised me with a cake, cards, and had arranged for everyone to sing "Happy Birthday" to me. I was overwhelmed. Later on I was given the opportunity to perform my dream Halloween show which was basically like a Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp. Although I was doing better, I was far from being well enough to work. Over the years, college career centers and gov't organizations meant to find sick people work failed me over and over. I asked Rick if he could keep an eye out for jobs since he knows many people in the community. The very next day he asked me to speak with him to discuss my abilities - just by doing that he did more than anyone else had done. We figured out some super part time I could do which gave me something to put on my resume for the first time nearly at age 30. My story is not unique either. Over the years I've overheard the owners helping one of their employees put a down payment on her first car, and they're currently taking donations to help a longtime former employee pay for bills while she tries to get benefits for a serious health problem. I don't believe in magic, but the things that this place has done for me and others is as magical as life gets. Attached is a photo of the plastic guitar they decorated my birthday cake with.

I've been dealing with Rick's Music for almost over a 1/4 of a century and they have been nothing but the best to me. From day one they have always been there to teach and help me. From learning music and sound production to dealing with student, and charitable donations, this family based business has been at the top of my list for a very long time and I will continue to do business with them as long as I'm entertaining. You have more of an influence than you know in this community. with the kids and adults that want to learn the arts and express themselves thru music.
