It does not get any better than Ricky’s Thai Bistro! Fresh, Delicious and Authentic Thai food. My go to Neighborhood Gem.. and I go often!

Let me preface this review by saying that Thai food isn’t always my first choice but Ricky’s is definitely a place i will revisit! I’ve NEVER had a satay this good! The papaya salad was cut fine and delicious. The green curry with the kefir lime was phenomenal!!The singa beer nice and chilled! I’d say, just the pad thai could have used a little less sugar. We wrapped up our meal with a plate of the little unsweetened donuts with condensed milk on the side, perfect! Fabulous place and packed on a Tuesday evening!

The food is unparalleled and the people are lovely. Just a tad loud but mainly because customers are happy to be there (no obnoxious music). I highly recommend it.

Ricky's went out of their way to make sure my visit was a good one. The food was excellent! I got the pad thai and the shrimp we're big and scrumptious. The manager/owner (guy in his later 50's?) really tried to make sure my food was in my hands pronto. My only problem here is the parking.

Excellent Thai food!!! A must visit if in the area. I ordered the Tom Kha Goong soup. LARGE shrimp in this big bowl of soup along with fresh mushrooms. Yummy! I also had the Pad Kee Mow or Drunken Noodles with beef.. Also very good with an excellent selection of very fresh vegetables and the perfect compliment of Basil. A must visit when in the N. Miami area.

I get take out from here once a week. Best Sticky rice I've ever had. Just very authentic Thai flavors.

Addicted! We fell in love with this restaurant since the first visit, generous portion of high quality Thay food that resemble flavors from a distant place. The owner is a great host and offers specials that surprise and satisfy every single time. The prices are just incredibly honest and most important is consistently outstanding. We just keep going again and again. And we are glad of it!

I should have confirmed my order when I placed it over the phone yesterday because instead of Pad Kee Mow, I got Paid Thai... Everything was still delicious, just a little disappointed! Make sure you ask them to repeat your order back when ordering over the phone!

Great customer service both on the phone and in-person. Julian was lovely. We had takeout but restaurant is extremely clean. I got to peek in the kitchen (beautiful). Lastly, the food was delicious. So happy this will be our go to dinner spot.

The food was excellent. If you want to try authentic Thai food, this is the place to go. We ordered Thai spring rolls, and they're awesome. Pad wood sen and fried rice crab, and they were very very good. Also, we finished with Thai donuts, and they were also excellent. Definitely recommend this restaurant to try it and definitely going back to try more of their food.

This is the Best Thai Restaurant in town. It is a family restaurant but with high end kitchen. The food is always perfect and also the price point. FORZA RICKY!!!!

We are so happy that Ricky Thai has reopened! The place looks incredible and the atmosphere to eat there is just so cool. We have been eating here and ordering take out for many years and we just love their food and service! Our favorites are the pineapple rice, the pad thai and the cashew stir fry. Just can’t say enough good things about Ricky’s. Good is just awesome, fresh, piping hot, flavorful. Best Pad Thai I have had in years and years, esp with tofu. Red curry yummy, spicy and loved every minute of it. Thai rice moist and just the right amount of moisture and clumpiness. Thai chili whole fish, yikes, snapper the night I went, and just pick it right off with some lettuce and the Lap tomato sauce dip was crazy! Chill place, great owners, friendly staff and a great and inexpensive wine list. Yeah, worth a drive from wherever you are.

So glad Ricky Thai’s back!! Had a wonderful dinner… Thai spring roll, Ricky Thai Wings, Green Papaya Salad, Thai Fried Rice, Penang Curry, and the Duck Basil - all deliciously executed, and well paired with a nice Italian white. We finished with some Thai donuts and an espresso. Next level, and well priced in comparison to most Miami restaurants these days. Chicken satay and papaya salad were great. Main dishes lacked more protein in them, more chicken in cash nut rice and curries would make it better. Dessert of doughnuts was disappointing

I've been a patron of Ricky's for a while now. Today, I returned after a long absence due to their renovation. The changes are amazing; the restaurant now feels so open and bright. The food and service were beyond impressive—I had the Drunken Noodle with pork, and it was outstanding. In terms of quality and flavor, it's to my opinion the best in Miami; you'd have to go to NY or Thailand to find something comparable. I highly recommend this place!

I've been eagerly awaiting the reopening of this place since their expansion. It did not disappoint. Although they are currently open for dine in and take out, please be aware that there is some expansion work in progress. That being said, it doesn't affect, in any way, the quality of food or service. And the walk up/pick up window is genius. The food is so fresh,The chef is Thai and everything is made to order. I've spent a lot of time in Thailand, and this place does Thailand proud; and if you tell them you want it traditionally prepared, be prepared for it! Deliciousness! Run to this place, or at least, call in and Walk up, LoL. The wait was definitely worth it

What an incredible place we are so fortunate to have in our own little north Miami neighborhood. Food is always impeccable, no other Thai restaurant can compete in Miami and beyond. The new expansion is excellent. Modernized while maintaining an intimate local feel. And now they have a take out window! You may (probably will) need to wait, possibly for a while, to get seated do to its popularity but it's absolutely worth any wait

April ‘24 update: THEY HAVE RE-OPENED FOR DINE-IN! Amen to that! Absolutely the best Thai restaurant in Miami. I am frequent flyer at Ricky’s for the last 5 years and their quality and taste are always impressive. Amazing Papaya salad, you will get addicted to the sauce. All Noodle dishes are full of flavors to be discovered, the Duck is a dream come true, try it with the pineapple rice for a perfect pairing. Thai Donuts to top it all off with a sweet ending. The owner is always onsite, which is truly what makes it all work flawlessly. Takeout is a good choice.

I love this place. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. The food is really delicious. The soups are great. I really like the duck.

Simply the best and authentic Thai food you can find

I am so glad they are back open. The best Thai food in Miami. My favorites are, papaya salad, pad thai, pad see ew, crispy duck with basil sauce. Besides the food this family run business offers excellent service and quality that you can trust will deliver every time you visit.

We live down the road and ordered take out 1/2 a month. When they closed we were worried about how they would make a comeback. Wow, they did not disappoint! Every single thing was delicious! The place looks very clean and updated inside, the take out window is very smart and I hope they use it to their advantage. 👍 Favorites: - Crispy Duck Red Curry - Basel Fried Rice - Satay Chicken Skewers - Thai Donuts You really can't go wrong here.

They have an excellent menu, service and prices. Our group of 10 got several of their lunch specials and all of us were very pleased. Plus, they will make some adjustments and accommodations to the dishes. This group of friends has been to a lot of restaurants, and none have better service thanks to Pam and Chen!

Food is frozen. Bad quality and seats are like in jail.

This is one of the best and definitely the most consistent restaurant in Miami. They produce quality dishes, and they’re one of the few who actually care about what they put on your plate. I’m very much looking forward to their re-opening.

Love love love! Try the duck basil or green curry. Their customer service is amazing too. I ordered take out but changed my mind and decided to eat at a table. It was already packed so they quickly accommodated and brought my serving dishes and a beverage. Great to have a place like this in the neighborhood.

Ricky Thai Bistro was across the street from our hotel, which was convenient. We dodged the rainstorms and walked there. It was very busy for dinner, which was a good sign, also a lot of people were coming in picking up take-out orders. The restaurant is small and colorful and the waitress was very sweet and friendly. We ordered a ginger entrée to share and added some spring rolls. All the food was hot and we didn't have to wait long. For dessert, the waitress suggested the Thai donuts that come with condensed milk on the side. OMG, they were to die for! We eat at a lot of Thai restaurants (mostly on the west coast) and had not come across those before. We are still talking about them! If you found this review useful, please click the thumbs up!

You may have to wait a short while for a table. It's a small establishment but the menu is full of flavor. They have curry soups, wings, pad Thai, duck, and other classic Thai dishes. They also carry wine, beers like Sapporo and some canned sodas and juices. I've been here twice and really enjoy their spring rolls and pad Thai.

It’s a perfect little hole in the wall that has aspirations because they’re expanding. I’m a little worried that when they expand, they will lose that comfort, food environment and the very sweet waitress. They won’t have time to sit and chat over red curry vs green. They have an amazing selection, and they’re very kind and accommodating and plenty of food for very good prices. The Decour is charming, but nonetheless sort of like a hidden gem of a place. Opens at 4 o’clock. Come in through the back and don’t forget to get your pad Thai on .

I used to love this place . The service is alwways amazing until the last time I came . My kids doesn't really like much vegetables. They love the pad sew and I asked the server to put less vegetables but with extra noodles and I don't mind paying for it. But the owner Ricky said no . And he did this before . If you want your guests to keep coming back as long as it is a reasonable request . You should honor it . At the end of the day guest come back when they are happy and satisfied .

Been coming here for years! This family owned restaurant boasts of authenticity all around, while Juliano & his wife insist on being sticklers to Thai flavors and recipes. A North Miami Neighborhood gem. This time we had our favorite Whole fish with Thai hot sauce. The generous sauce also served on the side with aromatic rice is a meal for the gods. The squid appetizer is spicy, unique and so satisfying. Servers and Juliano are so attentive and pleasant. They even remember your name, what your favorite dishes are and the smiles are endless while they run around trying to accommodate the long waits of this tiny restaurant! Love I, love them… just all around love! Bravo guys!!! And thank you for feeding us

Amazing food and amazing people!

I've been going here for years. My best friends and I used to lean on Giuliano to raise the prices. I love Thai food, and this is the best. As are all of the people. I read four star reviews, and I don't understand why they're not five star reviews. Everyone loves this place, except the guy who got GI symptoms which he wrongly thought were caused by MSG (which they don't use). And even he loved the place and the food. He just didn't love the presumably unrelated symptoms he got later. I have also urged Giuliano to put on the menu that he uses only pasture-raised animals. People would like to know that. He and his wife grow some special herbs and other ingredients at their home. It's a restaurant, yeah, but it's home when you're there. You can't eat like this anywhere else, and if you try, it will cost you more. Someone didn't like the pad thai, because they thought it was too gooey and sweet. They'll like Moon better. It's got a smokier and more burnt taste, and it's drier. But for me, Ricky Thai tastes better, and it's as good as it gets.

This is an excellent restaurant, as authentic Thai as can be. Everything is fresh, they make any dish to order to your liking. We'll come back here again as a regular, they can adjust the spice level to your liking. Must visit!

My boyfriend ordered the pad Thai. He really liked it I got the seafood basil and it was delicious. Very fresh seafood, and vegetables new to North Miami was a great time restaurant.

Some people describe this place as a dive, and I agree, it’s not fancy nor is it in a fancy location. It is in a strip plaza, with parking in the back. Not the nicest place but man, it’s the tastiest Thai food we’ve had. The food has great flavour and SO delicious! If you can overlook the physical space, you will have the most delicious meal! The papaya salad was delicious. So were the vegetable rolls. The curry, pad sei and mung bean noodle dishes were amazing! If you are craving Thai and want authentic flavours frequented by locals, this is a hidden gem. Service was amazing too! Their staff care and check in often. Will return on a future visit to north Miami!

Best Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice I’ve had in the area!!

Whether take out or eat in, always spectacular. Note medium is hot for most Americans and hot is HOT, and unless you are Thai stay away from Thai Hot!

Wow! My friend suggested I come here because I was in the area and I'm so happy I did! It's a super lowkey spot but the food is amazing. The service we had was also so so good. She was incredibly sweet and made conversation with us and suggested good dishes. Here's what we ordered: - KAO NIAO MOO TOD: you must order this! It's Papaya salad with sticky rice and pork strips. These pork strips were my favorite part of the whole meal! Ask for the papaya salad a little spicy. We forgot to do that and wished we did - Pad See Ew was really good too! Can't go wrong with this and they have a great one - Crab Fried Rice; not my favorite crab fried rice EVER but it was really good. I'm sad I hadn't heard of this place before but I'm glad I found it now and can't wait to go back!

Surprisingly delicious, the reason I wrote Surprisingly, from the outside it is not that inviting. Get past that, and the food and service were great....friendly and welcoming...this is our new Thai place!!!

The food came out incredibly quick, perfect temperature and spice level. Service was prompt, professional and very cordial.

This was a weird one. We showed up and it looked like a run down building, front door is blocked off but my first thought was, the good must be really good if they are still staying open. My first sense to trigger when I walked in was my nose. The use of fish sauce was obvious, and that got me excited; I knew I was going to get some flavorful foods. The pad thai, salad, egg rolls aesthetically was fantastic. The taste was bold, with some heat but a little too sweet, presumably to try to cut the spiciness. It was a balance of authentic and American Thai food.
