Order take out and waited. In house patrons were first. The waitress was rude. And cardboard tastes better than their pizza.

My family loves Rising Sun Pizza. Great, swift service and while the pizza and wings are both great, the cheesy bread is amazing!

Out of most beers. Said they stopped ordering. Guess they are closing after Labor Day. Very Slow service… pizza?

Atmosphere was nice but the pizza was really flavorless and quite expensive at $30 for a large pizza.

Nice spot in a small town without a lot of options. Huckleberry beer was great and ice cold. Food was good and service really good. We'll be back.

PLACE IS WAY OVER RATED!!! PICTURES DO NOT TELL THE TRUTH!! I should have read deeper into the reviews. The place is clean, including the back kitchen area, the service was GREAT. All the staff smiled as they walked by. I ordered the 12" ($22.00!!!) Red Eagle Hawaiian Fire. I was VERY VERY disappointed! They say hand tossed crust... tasted & looked more like, grabbed a premade frozen crust from the freezer, and hand tossed it onto the prep station. Very little sauce, very little cheese... but plenty of crappy crust. I won't go back there again. Only saving grace was the sweet waitress. Side note. Don't waste your money on the Tangerine beer. Tasted of all hops and zero tangerine!!! I drank like 3 sips...couldn't finish it!

We stopped at Rising Sun Pizza on our way back from Many Glacier to West Glacier at the end of a long hiking day. We were looking for a quick bite and this hit the spot perfectly! We ordered cheese sticks and two pizzas (Park Ranger BLT and Veggie) and it was all great. The food came out quickly and our server was excellent. Highly recommended!

Had a quick stop here before going into Glacier National Park. The pizza was excellent and it hit the spot after hiking 25 miles. They serve alcohol as well and it had a nice sports bar vibe. The reception for Verizon wasn't working here and they had no wifi, but not a big deal. We split a 12" pizza between the two of us and we felt 80 full.

Great spot right next to our campground...divide creek..also awesome off grid spot. Food was good, beer was cold and atmosphere very chill.

We shared a really great meal at Rising Sun. Pizza and wings are both pretty great. The pizza is a thin crispy cracker crust style. We tried the Redneck (shown in picture) which featured redneck sausage which to this day I still don't know what it's made of, but it was good. The place gets really busy so get there if you want a table. Otherwise, you can always take out.

Loved the great pizza made to order. It was loaded with good cheese , toppings and great crust. Enjoyed the outside garden to enjoy our pizza! Staff was friendly and eager to please!

Absolutely a waste of time and money. Very very expensive with almost no service and very unfriendly staff. Our order was wrong with no apologies or refunds and only dirty looks for asking it to be corrected. Pizza was mid. Wings were amazing. Everything was overpriced and our money went down the drain. We waited hours for our lame food.

We waited an hour and a half for a medium pizza and a small salad. When I asked for an update, the reaction was agitated. We were not the only ones, lots of hungry people were waiting. Next to this pizza bar is a small foodtruck that serves wood fired pizzas, I would go there!

Excellent thin crust pizza and amazing wings. We sat outside at the picnic tables since we had a large group. Would definitely come back to this place again.

The pizzas were fantastic!! Created our own and yummy. We told our waitress it was my birthday and the owner came out with cake and ice cream and candles and sang happy birthday!! What a great place!!! Thank you for making my birthday even more special!!

One can definitely tell when someone takes pride in their restaurant, and Rising Sun Pizza is no exception. It's a place to relax with family and friends whilst enjoying a great atmosphere and friendly staff. We visited this fantastic place on a whim while celebrating my mother's birthday and the owner gave her a chocolate muffin/huckleberry ice cream dish! Needless to say if you have your doubts, which you shouldn't, this is a great place to go for some excellent homemade pizza! Thank you all at Rising Sun pizza in St Mary, Mt! I've eaten a lot pizza. This is not the best in the world, but it's damn good after a few days of camping and hiking. The 12 inch is the perfect size for two hungry hikers. They have a few local craft beers on tap. Service was friendly on our first visit, but rather luke warm to indifferent on our second when we had a different server.

Read all the reviews so I came here for pizza. I really don’t understand what everyone is rating this place so high for. The pizza was food and fills you up but that’s about it. Can’t say it was any good. Took about an hour for our first pizza to come out and another half hour for the other after asking the waitress where it was. Instead of just admitting they either didn’t put the order in or gave it to another table they just lied to us said something about a small oven. Really wouldn’t come here again.

This was the best food on our entire 2 week trip!

I should have taken a picture of the salad. That was the best value for your money and it was great too. The homemade Ranch dressing was very good. The greens were also good. I came back twice on my vacation for this salad. The wings were good, and they honored my request for all flats. The cheese breadsticks (I added sausage to it) were okay, but at the cost of adding sausage with how much was on there, it wasn't worth the money or the time waiting to receive your order. I didn't order these again. Both days, I had to wait 45 minutes to an hour to get my carryout order. The second day, when I ordered salad and wings, I asked the clerk how long the wait was, and she told me that for wings, it would only be about 15 to 20 minutes. Nope. 45 minutess. The service was friendly but it was really really slow.

Pretty disappointed with the bill. We ordered a three topping pizza with different toppings on each half but got charged for all 5 toppings. I eat pizza everywhere I go and never in my life have I been charged for ordering half and half. Over $33 for one pizza. I'm here for 7 more days and was planning on going back but not now. I learned the hard way.

Very tasty thin crust style pizza that is reasonably filling. I had the margarita pizza, and the tomatoes and basil were fresh. We arrived for the 4pm opening because it can get busy. And it did, but there were plenty of staff on hand.

The food is good. Well flavored, cooked well. The chicken wings were full of meat and I loved it. The pizza was also good, real ingredients and full sized. The only issue is wait time to get food.

We waited over an hour after ordering. When we would ask how long it would take for our order to arrive, we didn't get a response. I don't think they even checked. The waitresses were fast and efficient. But the kitchen seemed to be the slow one. I get that it was busy but if over half of the small pizza restaurant doesn't have their order yet, I feel like there is an issue. We couldn't wait any longer and just paid for our drinks and left. If you are looking for a quick bite, definitely not the place to go. I genuinely think they didn't even start making our pizza.

This place was not good - the service was bad (took us 30 minutes just to get water and twenty minutes to get greeted at the table), the pizza tasted like cardboard, the bathroom was disgusting (everything was covered in pee, no tp or paper towels) and the TV kept turning on and off while trying to watch soccer.

The only place to have decent food on the east entrance. Everywhere else you will find the same burgers, overpriced lemonades and pastas. We ate 2 times of our 4 night stays on east entrance. Pizza was really good. Freshly baked as per your requirements. 12" is enough for two people mostly.

Not sure if the usual chef was on vacation or something but this was easily the worst pizza I have had in a long time. Margarita pizza is not what I’d consider a margarita pizza - it’s like they took a cheese pizza and put a caprese salad on top or something because the mozzarella wasn’t even melted. Crust was so bad - not sure why people are saying this is NY pizza. It’s worse than DiGiorno frozen pizza. Service was awful too. Didn’t ask us once how our food was or check to see if we needed more drinks - they also charge you $2 extra if you want to have 2 different sauces for a full order of wings which is really dumb. Would not recommend this place at all. Horribly overpriced and disgusting.

Great pizza, the menu has what I'd call frontier inspired toppings. I have 4 stars for having good food at an acceptable price near the park. BE WARNED: they seat way more people than their kitchen capacity. I'm sure they do it intentionally to capture customers and increase drink sales while they wait. Don't dine here during peak hours, 6-7 pm. It took us a full hour to get our food. So many people were upset that a manager type person had to literally shout a public announcement to tell all the frustrated customers in the dining room to chill about the long waits. 5 stars if you eat here when the dining room is half full or less. 3 stars if you order at 6:40 pm and it takes you an hour to get food. 2 stars if you have fussy kids.

Got a 25 minute wait time, but table wasn't ready after over an hour. Went in to check and was told they didn't know when they could seat us. Never got a call back before they closed. Seating a group of 10 is hard, but just say you can't do it or don't know the wait time, rather than providing a misleading short wait time. This happened twice on consecutive evenings. Didn't get a chance to review on any factor other than service. Edit: This is definitely the correct place. In a town as small as St Mary, you can't gaslight away the feedback. Sorry.

Pizza was good after a long hike but it takes sooooo long to get your order. I went once in 2021 and once in 2024... both times took over an hour for pizza to arrive... the food is good but my only complaint is the long wait.

Friday night, peak season. Waited at our table for 30 min and no one even came by to greet us or give us a menu. When I went up to the front to ask about it, I was ignored for probably 10 minutes. We just left

This was one of the places I had found while planning our trip and I’m glad we listened to the reviews. No leftovers from our family of 3 after a long day of hiking. It’s worth the wait and the staff handled the crowd as well as can be expected during a but dinner hour in a smaller building.

Amazing food and excellent service. The pizzas are really unique and incredibly delicious. I thoroughly recommend this place if visiting St. Mary for the park or if driving through. Great management, service and facilities. They also have plentiful and delicious gluten free options.

Great pizza. Crazy busy place.. probably because it's one of very few places in town. This is a very remote area. The food was great, no complaints at all!

Some of the best pizza I have had. Crust was thin and crispy with great flavor. Made it our way with their delicious alfredo sauce - yummy. Service was fast and with a smile. The place was hopping when we got there, but the 3 ladies running the floor made it look effortless. Thank you for your hospitality!

The pizza is average. I was grateful that they had a veggie platter appetizer to order after all of the hiking “crap” food we had been eating, but the carrots on the platter were extremely dry, and not everything that the menu said was on the platter actually came on it. The garlic bread sticks were by far the best part of our meal and I highly recommend them.

We had three different pizzas and chicken wings and it was all delicious! Zoe provided the best service. She was very attentive and we didn't have to wait long.

We were on a 2 week work trip at East Glacier and wanted pizza. Rising Sun popped up and we said, "let's do it!". Boy am I glad we chose Rising Sun...we visited 4 other times in our 2 weeks and would go at least another 4 on a next trip. Service is great, menu is great (lots of options), the place was CLEAN. Support this local business, even if you just want a drink....but you'll miss out on good pizza!

The 4pm opening is a little loose - they opened a little closer to 4:30 when we went That said, the pizza was excellent, the apps were excellent, the service was excellent - over all a gem of a restaurant for this part of the park

This place was packed when we arrived, so we had to wait a few minutes for a table and our food, but it was totally worth being patient for! Despite the rush, all of the servers were kind and responsive and the food was great! Our kids DEVOURED the garlic breadsticks and my husband and son enjoyed the wings, too!

Food was average. Don't be fooled by high rating. Service was extremely slow. Our waitress wasn't too keen on attending to us. A single large pizza took an hour to arrive, and it came without ordered toppings. Waitress went back and put cold toppings and returned with the same pizza! There are better alternatives nearby. Frogs, a Mexican food place right behind this was good and their service was prompt and attentive, and the food was far better than this place.

It is always crowded hence take your time and go. And bit costly based on the location

The pizza is awesome. Tribal owned. Great for breakfast also. Grab for your trip into Glacier. It took about 25 minutes.

Post Park Day Pizza for the win. This was the perfect spot to refuel after a long day of hiking. Pizzas and sauces were homemade, and you could tell. There was a good variety of topping options with good crust. We did half Park Ranger BLT and half Redneck... the garlic cheese bread was also a good starter. Would recommend stopping by for some solid homemade za!

Great pizza & wings in the area! A must stop if you are in East Glacier. The owner is very warm and friendly plus she makes delicious food from scratch which we enjoyed.

Online order went through ok, requested a pickup time but then thought it would be earlier because of an automated text. So we showed up, waited 10 mins to be told it would be when we originally requested. No big deal, my fault for requesting a time, I’m a pretty patient reasonable person. Lots of disappointed people waiting a long time while we were there, and all but one server were not super friendly about it. Came back at the time they said to, waited another 20 minutes to be helped. Overall, chaos, disinterested and overworked servers. In the end, cold thin crust pizza and much cold too spicy wings.. perhaps better if you ate in at a less busy time. Don't get too excited, other than the prices are ok compared to the overpriced grocery store and not having to cook for a night!

Stopped in for pizza but what we got was RUDE service. The place was busy when I arrived, but there was a table outside that was empty and hadn't been bussed. So I asked the waitress inside if she needed me to clear it since I could see they were busy. She said no, that they were short staffed but she would clear it we spent $60 on 2 pizzas, then went outside to sit. My daughter can't eat cheese, so she walked around the corner and got a salad from the Mexican place that shares a parking lot. She brought it to where we were outside and was eating. Once she finished, suddenly and abruptly the owner came out and as rude as can be said, and I quote "would you go to a resteraunt in New York and bring in someone else's food an eat it!" I was stunned at how rude she was. I said is there a reason you had to come tell us so rudely? I said there's a way to talk to people and that isn't it. I then told her I had just spent money on food at her place, but that my daughter can't eat pizza. She then proceeded to tell me I yelled at her waitress to bus the table!?!? Are you kidding me? I offered to help and at no time raised my voice. She the went back inside and came back out and said let me say it politely, you can leave after you get your food. Wow. I cannot believe she would treat a paying customer this way. If it wasn't for the fact there was nothing else open, I would have demanded a refund and left immediately. Her husband then comes out and stares down my friends who were there with me. A short time later she and he come outside with the pizzas and tell us to leave. If this place was in a location where they weren't the only place in town they would be shut down for such rude service. I suggest avoiding this nasty impolite business at all costs!!!

Right around 10 mins from St. Mary visitor center and a great pizza place especially after a tiring hikes. Options for few drinks, wings, salads and a great pizza. Staff were super friendly and decent service time. Decent space to sit in and outside. Place closes at 9:00 PM but I do see they were taking togo orders after that.

This is some of the best pizza I have had in a long time! Tastes especially great after a long hike with some cold beer. The customer is crispy and delicious. The sauce is handmade fresh daily. Also has the wings "zingy" style. Wings were big and crispy however keep in mind these are not "buffalo" flavored. They were more of a chili sauce flavor but still good. Great staff interaction. Loved it?

Rising Sun Pizza is a place not to miss in St Mary. First of all, Jen, the owner of the restaurant, was key to our experience. The pizza was delicious (and being from Chicago, that is big) and they provide an exceptional gluten free crust too. We also enjoyed the salad and wings. We liked staying in St Mary for easy access to the east side and Many Glacier and having a great option for food was appreciated.

Great pizza and cider after a long day hiking through Glacier National Park

Ordered a pizza and the center wasn't cooked enough. OK that happens when your busy that's business. I'll order some cheese sticks next time. Next time comes around let's order some sticks. Add pep for 2.25 sounds good I love it but to get only 7 pepperoni for 32cents a pepperoni. I don't want it. Get a small pepperoni at kips if you want a snack. The chicken wings tho do not sleep on them one of the best I had. Order a full zingy wings with a bbq on the side amazing.

For a $22 pizza (Rising Wolf), the toppings were very sparse. What was there was tasty, especially the onions with especially good flavor. I think the micro fleck green things were supposed to be the jalapenos. The dough had good flavor and went very well with the white sauce. The patio in the front is dog friendly. Very friendly staff and large selection of local on-tap beers.

It is located on the east side of the glacier national park. We ordered pizza, which was good. Patio seating is available & and a few parkings available too.

Great place to get food if you’re in the St. Mary part of the park. We sat outside and even with the road close, it wasn’t too loud. Good food, good prices. We had a salad and the Blackfeet pizza. Quite delicious.

Stopped in late after hiking and the place was hopping. I think they forgot our order because they seemed to jump right on it after I inquired but we weren't upset because the pizza was legit. The next evening we had pizza at North Fork Pizza in Columbia Falls which also has good reviews, and good pizza, but Rising Sun is the clear winner (except the garlic knots at North Fork are exquisite).

We were hot off 12 miles of hiking and had the appetite of starving wolves, but we thought the pizza here was delicious!!! The service was a little slow, but I know they were understaffed. It is what it is these days I guess.

Might seem a little pricey for pizza but some of the best I have ever had and their ranch was delicious! Definitely worth it! I think this is also the pizza being delivered to campsites at the St. Mary KOA nearby but I'm not totally positive about that.

Probably the best dinner option on the East Glacier side -- the staff is attentive and friendly. We ordered 2 straight nights while staying in St. Mary's, but highly suggest this for a nice carb boost after your hike.
